Why tye fuck even bother learning to code anyways? In the very near future companies will all migrate to gpt-3 and we cooders will get fucked. What can a silly programer can do in the face of obsolescence?
>>
Switch to Server Administration. Then your only problem is trying to look busy so you don't get fired.

You can always magically learn a new skill that will somehow earn you enough money to merely survive and pay bills to your masters.
>>
>>80345446
True, maybe instead of learning to "code" you should learn how to program, codemonkeys are the ones that keep talking about muh tech but will be the first ones to be replaced by it
>>
>>80345446
No one have enough power to run this shit. This shit need more power than a bitcoin farm just to write a single line of anything.
>>
>>80345446
in the future you will be forced to know code to apply as an IRL janitor. you will also eat bugs
>>
>>80345446
stop over estimating machine learning, there is no way in hell google, open.ai or whoever else release their trillions parameters, multiple billions dollar trade secrets just so random kikestein can replace wagies
and even then spec, roadmaps, clients and management are so incredibly dumb there is no way in hell some stupid analytical program can decode this crap by themslves
you'd have a better chance by replacing management and clients than developers
>What can a silly programer can do in the face of obsolescence?
you will never be replaced in your lifetime
noone will get GWh datacenters just to replace low-energy biological code typists
>>
>>80346634
This. It's all about power consumption.
>>
>>80345446
>replaced by AI that does brainlet tier coding
You haven't really researched much about gpt-3 have you? AI programming isn't going to be a thing in our lifetime. Another AI winter is coming shortly.

>switch to job where you do nothing all day except look busy
Jobs like this are the worst. Proven to be terrible for your mental health as well.
>>
>>80346878
God I hope there's a winter soon
>>
>>80346878
jup, just like every 2 decades.
>>
>>80346634
They absolutely would to make a profit
>>
>>80348248
except they cant, it's NOT profitable, at all, it's a massive ressource hog
>>
Dark winter coming
>>
GPT-3 is only good for boiler plate code.
>>
>>80345446
>Why tye fuck even bother learning to code anyways?
Certainly not for the money
>>
>>80345446
I don't know what the fuck you're referring to, but if this is supposed to be some software developing AI, let me break down your entire hypothesis very simply: in order for an AI to output the desired software, a client will have to describe accurately and entirely what they want. Never gonna happen.
>>
>>80352321
Not even
>>
>>80345446
GPT3 will do the same as pajeets today, produce cheap, but not good code
>>
>>80346572
What's the difference between codemonkeys and programmers? Serious question.
>>
>>80353385
a codemonkey shits out code after being told what its supposed to do. a programmer thinks up the shit to tell the codemonkey to write and then plays gaymes or works on a personal project.
>>
>>80345446
you assume AI wont follow humans and demand compensation and rights for work.

A fitting comparison is one of lawyers and legal aids/secretaries. The lawyer often just dictates what he wants to be write or just tells his aid/secretary what to do. Sure, the lawyer could write his texts himself and care about deadlines and bureaucracy himself too, but he has a vastly superior education( and hopefully intellect) and it would be a waste of time for him to do it himself. Instead he'll delegate the tedious and easy work and only maybe look over it, since it's more cost effective to use his time for more complicated and worthwhile matters.
Similarly, if you just need some tedious implementations of basic shit you just properly define what you need and tell a codemonkey to do it. However, if you have an actual slightly complex problem your Bootcamp codemonkey tard will either come up with the shittiest solution possible or don't come up with a solution at all. That's were you need actually competent people who in this context we call "programmers". You could use "programmers" for everything but a decent "programmer" will cost you quite a bit and if all you need is some shitty ass website why overpay when some retard can make one for a fraction of the cost using some meme framework. Sure it might not be the fastest or most professional solution but it's cost effective as long as you don't require quality work and keep the complexity low.
The phrase "the right tool for the job" applies to people too.
