Often times an artist can tell you their mindset and thoughts when they drew or painted etc, and could revisit those times when they looked at their work. I always thought that was something to make themselves sound more impressive rather than the truth, but its kind of true and I couldn't look at my stuff anymore. She went on to date (and later marry) a brony, so it stung a lot.
