Grip strength. Need tool to practice and measure. Advice.
>>

>>78803390
I'm waiting on a reversing cam/ monitor combo for muh van, will post results it should be here this weekend or the week coming, going to see if I can wire it to an always live line instead of the reversing lights so I can have an always on rearview rather than a reversing only one

Must of the cheap systems online seem to be analog out only, which is good for simplicity but if you're doing multiple systems it might make more sense to go for something a bit more modern so its manageable, the cheap kits seem to be universally a tft composite/vga monitor and a composite cameras, I'd prefer an integrated solution rather than four or five seperate kits and wiring jobs
>>
>>78804075

>>
>>78803380
Only vaguely related, but I bought some chinkshit laptop webcams in bulk (they are USB usually, but better make sure) and wired them up to a chinkshit Orange Pi PC for a buddy that wanted to film the rats on his chicken coop. You can get up to four cameras on a single Orange Pi PC, so that's pretty neat.

Can any flashlight CS people chime in on this?

Was looking for a flashlight with the following specs:
- must use 18650's, as I have a lot of these available (Sony VTC6's)
- Preferably 2 cells (3 would be too long)
- Will be used at 90 minutes at a time. (not necessarily from the same set of batteries)
- preferably adjustable from flood to throw
- it will be used 80% of the time at up to 10ft/3M distance.
- my budget is around 50€

Any help would be great.

One of the digital models does count rep, but doesn't seem to actually show force.
The other one is "for measuring", and not suitable for regular exercise.

In other news, I also received my photon mono
pros: 215€, very easy to set up and operate, the test print came out good even if it was supposed to be printed in clear resin and I used white. Delivered in 7 days.
cons: holy fuck post processing/cleaning is terrible

It doesn't smell as much as I thought, I kept it in a small room, with door closed, and when I got back there was just a barely noticeable smell of resin. Probably because it doesn't have any fans.
When I removed the lid after the test print got a waft of resin, it's not a very pleasant smell but all the pussies online saying that it's unbearable clearly never printed ABS in a closed room.
And contrary to abs, the smell was gone in 1 minute, didn't even open the window.
Maybe I'll add a carbon filter in the chamber (there's enough space to fit a 70mm fan), but the psu is 48w and the printer is 45w, so there's not much spare power.
Cleaning everything is a fucking nightmare, you're gonna need a whole table to put containers and shit. I tried removing the resin suspended in the alcohol but I don't have a curing solution yet and I have just a couple of UV 4w tubes, which are not enough to clean properly the alcohol. but were enough to cure the print in 5-8 minutes (white resin).

Quality looks pretty good, and resin isn't as easy to scratch or break as people make it, I mainly got it for parts and gears, but I'm gonna wait until I get the curing light before I do more tests.

I played with a photon a couple times, neglected the gloves, spilled the washing isopropyl on myself a time or two and what do you think it actually gives you dermatitis rashes and skin problems.

A couple of months and some weird shit forward I got alopecia totalis. Nobody can say whether it's caused by toxic shit or not.

Anyway the resin is actually toxic and you should treat it as such.
After having dealt with that shit, washing, spilling, and all i strongly believe the thing doesn't belong in your bedroom, if you have a garage, basement or workshop take it somewhere people don't actually live.

when I lived in china, if you wanted to buy a game console that didn't' have an official release in the mainland, you'd have to buy it from a Hong Kong based Taobao reseller which I can't say I was comfortable with

When I search for a t12 station I see a bunch of black boxes that all look the same. KSGER is apparently the one to go for, but the order numbers on it seem low?

Also whilst I'm here, anything else I should buy in terms of accessories? Kinda just brute forcing a hobby onto myself so open to corollary recommendations. I was even looking at 3d printers but Idk, I just want to explore some things I've not had the chance to before, and electronics is one such thing.

I like the idea of those kits you can buy, like a drone or a mechanical keyboard but you have to do the assembly with wiring and soldering. That's sort of what's tickling my gooch and hoping if I buy some equipment it might transfer into a hobby instead of just watching youtube videos.

I have a ksger t12 station and I really like it. Turn it on and your up to temp in a few seconds. The sleep mode is handy and tips are pretty cheap to buy as well. I don't think there are any major differences between ksger and quicko models in terms of hardware, but the firmware might be different. There was a time when you wanted the chink t12 models with the downgraded firmware because the "new firmware" models had some major bugs - I would hope that's all solved now. If i remember correctly the cheaper models might not come with internal power supplies and will require an extetnal power brick.

My only advice aside from ordering the usual stuff (flux, cleaning sponge, handle holder) is to get yourself an extra long power cord. They use the same prong style as a PC power cord. I'm sure you'll be happy with it if you order one.

Yes, since it's much better to have separated keys for the arrows. I could use any wireless keyboard with at least 4 programmable keys, I have seen some smol ones like that, so I might go with that.
I have my 60% which I won't replace anywhere soon unless I find something with the same size and somewhat has the arrows, which is what I use the numpad for, and maybe the +.
Having so much space that would be taken by the numap is worth having to use a separate numpad for.

Any basic phone recommendations, /csg/? Mom has an android phone, but she likes having a basic no wifi, not tactile one for calls and alarm, and her old one broke after years of mistreatment.

my advice? set the price over 10$, look for a bracelet or necklace related to something you know she likes (or something novel such as obsidian ones), and sort by orders, that is really the only indicator you have (e.g. if you see the same bracelet on multiple sellers at the top of the list, its likely its dropshipped, so it should have already been checked by some arbitrage-dealing fuck)

I mean that AliExpress will see the real price paid since the payment goes through their systems, so you will get refunded by the correct amount if it ever comes to that. Your country's customs however will only see what's written on the package, so if the seller writes a value under $200 on the package everything should be fine.

Chinkshit truly is dead. Cheapest from AE is now more expensive than local with all the taxes and non-free shipping.
Golden era is behind us bois.

Anyway, I need a RasPi for ad blocking and shit. Cheapest on AE that I could find is more expensive and takes 2 weeks longer to arrive too.

Insane. Truly the sad times we live in now.

Why would you buy an official Pi on Ali? You aren't supposed to buy brand shit unless it's a chinese one

Orange Pi? Yeah, I looked into that but the problem is support. Apparently the software support is poor and OS images are old.
Got a recommendation for which of the dozen Orange Pi models I should go for?
>>78833081
Got a recommendation for something similar? I'm all ears/eyes anon. Thanks for reading. I need a SMC to run PiHole mostly.

Non-chink items are usually more expensive at aliexpress compared to local stores, see for example brand new non-chink PC components.

Only if they actually have the brand on them ; ^ )

Thanks so much anon. That would be a PERFECT board if it had 2 USB ports or 1xUSB and a camera interface. Any idea if some of their other boards have H616 64bit chip in them? Most other ones I see are 32bit.

All right, after much searching, I found Orange Pi Lite 2 which has 2 USB ports. But with shipping it costs more than Raspberry Pi 4 2GB model. And it only comes with 1GB of RAM.

So latest RasPi is cheaper than 1+ year old chinkshit Pi. How the fuck is this happening???

Thanks again anon! OK, so the price comes to $40 + I need a power supply and USB-C cable. That comes to about extra $10+shipping. Let's say it's $50.
Now, RasPi 4 with 2GB + power supply is $57.
Is saving $7 by going this route worth it? I don't think it is. If I was saving $20, I'd say it was.

Yeah, but you're forgetting that almost nothing supports Orange Pi and everything supports Raspi.
I think time wasted tracking issues is worth waaaaaaay more than $7.
>>
>>78837554
Does the pi4 not have extra shipping, and comes with its own PSU? Will a pi3 not do?

That works in favor of Orange Pi.
If you've tried to do anything serious with a Raspberry before, you'll know it's a clusterfuck.

Pis have always been overpriced on aliexpress and everywhere else.
That same pi is $35 msrp and at stores that don't price-gouge like Microcenter... Also, buy an unofficial power adapter off ali, it's literally just a standard USB-C 5V3A phone charger.

>Also, buy an unofficial power adapter off ali, it's literally just a standard USB-C 5V3A phone charger.
I bought a Raspberry Pi 3B years ago and it was incredibly hard to find a power supply & micro-USB cable that could deliver enough amps. These things are incredibly finicky and you'd often get a low voltage indicator and things would stop working. I did manage to find a 2.5A power supply that would work well but I had to use a short cable with it.
Version 4B needs 3A continuous and I bet it's even harder to power reliably. If I was buying version 4B, I'd pay for the official power supply that's UL listed. I would not waste time and money buying cheapest chink shit phone chargers and then fuck around with shitty cables that cause voltage drops.

Also, using chink power supplies is one of the easiest way to burn your house down.
>>
>>78840102
>>78840187
dudes are unironically terrified of 5 volt power

worst case scenario, it shorts and smells weird for a couple seconds and you lose $2. more realistically, it just works, like all the rebranded chink shit you buy locally

No, the 110 or 230V that comes out the wall and can short inside the shitty chink psu and burn everything around it, which includes your house

Because of your trips I didn't call you names

They should slap USB C on them and solve the power delivery issues once and for all.
>>
>>78840326
That's a fair point. The only pi I have is the zero and it runs on anything without voltage issues.

>>78840369
The only fires I've seen happen are either bad design on the battery side (see: note 7) or people using mismatched chargers. Maybe the cable sleeving could wear out and you could get a slight shock or scald, but I don't see it starting a fire and burning through it's housing.
If the problem is partially due to things wearing out, I should probably be more worried about the 10+ year-old psus I have running constantly :^)
>>
>>78833248
The official Xunlong images are crap and outdated, but Armbian has up to date Ubuntu and Debian images. As for a model, it really just depends on what you want/need.

I'm considering buying one of those all-in-one Nintendo DS cartridges. But before I do, can anyone tell me a bit about them?
I want to know:

>is there a text list that I can ctrl+F in to find chrono trigger?
