Lamy is pretty decent and so cheap that every German kid has one. They're ~15€ on amazon.de

My mother still uses the one she had in school, so for 15€ you get something you probably will never have to replace.

Things not even chinks buy chinkshit off:
Baby formula
Fountain pens
Cosmetics

I asked in the last thread but didn't stick around to see if any friendly Anons replied...why is there so much fishing stuff on AliExpress? Is fishing popular in China? I literally have no idea
>>
>>71850249
I was going to answer your question but ehh I'm probably wrong
Maybe it is a popular thing in russia, seeing as how aliexpress is basically the #1 source for online crap for them.
Otherwise, maybe fishing is just a really big market globally and lures are super simple and cheap to make and usually sell well even with a MASSIVE markup so printing money.
>>

Yes, confirmed, a chink here
>>
>>71850249

Very easily if it's poorly made, which is very likely if it's a cheap chink knock-off.
A solder short, or a filament of wire in the wrong place. Calor, rubor, dolor, tubor.
>>
>>71850914
Literally any cable will do, if theres a short on the cable nothing will happen cause:
>Sony has proper built controllers with protection.

Hero and Jinhao stuff
There's some others that are in the price range of cheap non-chink FPs, but they're much better than their non-chink competitors (at last in features) if the QC doesn't shit all over you
you can search reddit or something for a list if recs, there are a few chink FP enthusiasts over there, but they tend to prefer expensive stuff over the cheap and nice Jinhao's

Got the new grey KZ Bluetooth cable, which uses a Qualcomm CSR8675 instead of CSR8645 on the previous black version. It sounds the same, I’m on an iPhone so I can’t take advantage of aptX HD (AAC only) and the level of background hiss is about the same. We’ll see about battery life and durability, but so far so good.

How do you find the Bluetooth cable compared to wired for comfort? Obviously not being tethered to a device is a big advantage but I imagine the cable is as or more annoying than traditional. Never used wireless in ears at all.
>>
>>71853927
Comply T-500, not chinkshit

>>71853946
It's way better. I wear these with the cable in front (instead of behind the neck) for ~30 minutes at a time for a public transit commute, and for that use case they're pretty much perfect because they allow me to use my phone in crowded quarters without worrying about snagging the cable. Since I'm not moving around much I don't have to worry about the cable bouncing, and when it gets cold I can tuck it into my jacket collar to make it 100% secure and 100% out of the way. Never used AirPods or similar, but I imagine the totally cable-free style would be even better for comfort.

>>
>>71855766
Goybest is an entierly different level of awful compared to most modern chink stores. They have a pretty fancy website and somebody with some understanding of English checks their descriptions so they seem legit. And then you order from them, your stuff takes 5 months and their customer support speaks English so fucking poorly that some chink mom&pop store running everything through google translate would laugh at them. I ordered there once and never repeated the mistake.

>>
>>71858108
Depends what you mean when you say "same price", you can get Edifier setups that are a few hundred. Personally I'd check auctions and thrift shops for some proper HiFi speakers since you could get a really nice budget setup for under $100 easily. If you really want new, get some bookshelf speakers on amazon and a digital amp from Aliexpress. Polk and Klipsch make nice stuff for under 100 burgers.

amazon.com/Polk-Audio-T15-Bookshelf-Speakers/dp/B002RJLHB8 + https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32821227987.html
Would be in another world to Edifier active stuff if you're aiming for high fidelity speaker listening. Especially if you're wanting it for quality classical recordings, give these some space and I'd bet you'll be amazed even for that price if you've never listened to a proper setup before.

My knockoff Tenga arrived today. I have a couple real ones, so I will be able to compare them.
First off, it's fucking short. I'm pretty sure I won't fit all the way in, and I don't have a massive dick. (The sleeve only goes like 2/3 of the way through the plastic outer shell, unlike in the Tenga.)
The material feels quite a bit softer than the real thing, it's clearly different.

I wear them for commuting so it doesn’t matter to me, they would definitely be no good for critical listening of any sort. Why would you want Bluetooth for that, though?

The amount of hiss is likely impacted greatly by the headphone impedance, I haven’t measured any of my buds or the output impedance on the cable so I don’t really have any data, but that could explain why some people find it worse than others.

Kingdian is ok. Kingspec is absolute nope category. Anecdotally, their NVMe SSD only reaches 800MB/s read and 500MB/s write and the random speeds are like HDDs in RAID 0 instead of actual SSD speeds. D-RAMless too.

Must it be these small factor SSDs/SATA requirement? Samsung PM981 sells well in AliExpress, and they are just over half of the cost of a 970 Evo equivalent.
>>
>>71858718
>KingSpec

Get 2 1TB Samsung NVMe drives from AE instead
>>
>>71855745
That sounds about the same as the old version, have you used both? I was really hoping for more battery life out of these, they advertise 8 hours and Bluetooth 5.0 is supposed to be more efficient.

>>71856787
CCA C16. I highly recommend them if you’re willing to pay, they’re way better than the KZ ZST, ZS10, BA10, AS10, and Tin T2, all of which I also have. The C16 have more balanced response and a lot more clarity in the high end, and better bass control compared to the dynamic driver designs where there’s a massive discontinuity between the dynamic driver and balanced armatures’ response characteristics.
>>
>>71858522
I'm not ingesting anything, how bad could it be
>>
>>71858757
Not that anon but I want to ask something.
Do you think that the CC C10 are an OK upgrade from the ZSN?
>>
>>71858757
I was tempted to fork out for the C16s but folded and got T2s since they were literally half the price. Trying to enjoy IEMs after getting sick of lesser ones several times in the past; Did I get memed?
>>
>>71858885
I’ve never used either so I can’t give a recommendation. What I’ve heard is that CCA and KZ share a tech stack but have different engineers responsible for tuning the final sound; I can confidently say I don’t really like the KZ “sound” after this many examples, but I can’t say how well the rest of the CCA lineup performs.
>>
>>71858940
T2 are flat and neutral, while the C16 are more lively and V-shaped in frequency response. Depends on what you want; T2 are the best neutral buds for the price, but I think a lot of people have convinced themselves that the bland neutral sound is better because of the hype. I place the T2 in the same category as my Etymotics - critical listening or music production only. If I want to enjoy music, it’s the C16 every time.
>>
>>71854246
It works fine in pci-e 2.0 slots. It just limits the speed to 1600mb/s.

The tricky part is if you have a chipset without native nvme support, you need to use tools to add the uefi nvme driver support to the bios. Otherwise Windows needs to boot for you to access it.
>>
>>71859023
Appreciating these responses. I'm mostly planning on using them dnb and harsh noisy stuff for gym, so flat isn't a problem. I'll admit I bought them based on the hype but the sheer amount of it, especially from obvious audio retards, is making me dubious.
>>
>>71857838
Don't ever buy anything unless it has at least 1000 reviews.
>>
>>71858757
>That sounds about the same as the old version, have you used both?

Nope. I got the cable only for watching movies at night from the couch without having to worry about the volume or hearing other shit.
I do not intend to use them for anything else because the background hsising is annoying.
>>
It never came. Who could have thought.
>>
>>71859319

Alright so I tried it. Honestly it's not too bad, although not as nice as the tenga. It's not very tight (I bought the tightest/firmest one) and doesn't have a lot of "shapes" inside, and the material is kind of smoother, so you get less feeling overall. Still alright for the price, it doesn't feel cheap and is easy to wash.

So, I've had a bunch of orders for my phone and friends' phones, so here's a few mini-reviews.

https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32974957678.html
Great product. Pros are that it comes really nicely packaged with a bunch of wipes and tools for applying it perfectly. I've had mine for 2 months now for my Samsung Galaxy S9 and it's still quite smooth, both when you look at it and as you swipe your finger across. No detachment anywhere around the edges. Con is that I doubt it's too useful when dropped from larger heights, but just don't drop it idiot.
Watch out for remnants of hole cutouts. Make sure you've removed any that might've remained during manufacturing before applying it to your phone.

https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32923319390.html
Ordered for a friend's Galaxy S8. Packaged in a cardboard box with the thinnest of sheets of some sort of nylon - arrived broken.

https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32954777026.html
Solid case. Fits nicely and pretty tight around the S9, buttons feel good to use.

https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32864598322.html
Got it for S9. Really bad warping around the volume button protrusions to the point that it doesn't stick to the case well at all. In addition to that, it actually started peeling my hydrogel screen protector in one corner. Would avoid.

https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32962846341.html
Really cheap wireless charger. Works well, albeit slow at only 5W charging.

https://www.aliexpress.com/item/33003387485.html
Had this one for a few months now. Works excellently, and charges fast. I only wish it had USB-C. This exact model doesn't seem available anymore but there's probably a newer version by Anker somewhere.
>>
>>71863436
I've got the Huion 1060 Plus. Not sure if it differs any from this listing but it looks exactly the same.

It's a great product. Very accurate and comfortable to use. Maybe most importantly it has a very large drawing area considering how affordable it is.
Software is alright. It got a bit finicky at times, but I was able to bind all of the keys on it and the pen itself to suit my needs perfectly. By finicky I just meant that things might take a bit to figure out, but I've never had the tablet malfunction or anything - it's a smooth experience.
I got it to work on every drawing software I tried it on, but you may need to open it and check/uncheck one option depending on which one you're using.

I'd recommend it.
>>
>>71847885
>>71848140
I am using it for a couple of days now. Arrived from Ali at ~50% charge and charged it today for the first time - charge time is about 1.5 hours. I did use it extensively and set automatic heart rate measurement every 1 minute so the battery can probably last weeks. Got the global version for about $35 and it's my first Mi Band I've ever had. Pretty sweet, I like the color display and the "lift arm to turn on display" thingy which doesn't work 10/10 times. You have to shake your hand a bit for it to turn on, or accept defeat and use your other hand to press the screen. I like keeping track of my activities, workouts, steps, heart rate through the day, sleep patterns etc. It's pretty comfortable even though I technically use it wrong, you should have it about an inch from the wrist, I just have it right at my wrist. Custom watch faces, most of them are meh at best. Alarm feature is sweet, music controls are pretty handy. Notifications don't support unicode so some turn out pretty weird, especially if you're not from the US. It's pretty good for the price if you're trying to get/stay fit, otherwise you don't get to take advantage of most of its features, still decent as a sleep logger, watch and notification shower.
>>
>>71863444
I've got a Mi Band 3. Supposedly the Mi Band 4 arrived but I ordered it to arrive at work so I'll have to wait until Monday.

As far as the Mi Band 3 is concerned, it's a great device. I have it on the most demanding battery setting where it measures everything every 1 minute and the battery still lasts about a week, maybe more. It comes with great software which pairs very easily.
Accurate measurements for footsteps, and from what I can tell quite accurate for heartrate, too. It does a good job of detecting when i fell asleep and when I woke up, but I couldn't tell you if it's good at distinguishing between deep and light sleep.

I use it 24/7, while in the shower, while on the treadmill, while sleeping, while working, and it's always nice to have if for nothing else but getting notifications to it when you're not next to your phone.
>>
>>71863552
If it's anything like the Mi Band 3, the lift arm thing works like this - you have your arm next to you. Move it in front of you, and after half a second of not moving it will turn on.
>>
>>71863537
Only the pen is different, the H1060P should have a battery-less pen. Did you purchase it from aliexpress as well? I fear I will get chinked as the link I included in my original post is the only Huion H1060P drawing tablet I could find on there and it doesn't have many reviews. I might be too paranoid, but I'd rather not rick losing that much money.
>>
>>71863605
Yeah if I'm standing and lifting my arm, it works 10/10 times since my arm does the full motion. If I just twist my hand from a keyboard and do light motion, it doesn't work consistently, even though sensitivity is set to "sensitive" instead of "normal". That's understandable since there would be a lot of false positives otherwise, but it still feels bad when my band betrays me like that.
>>
>>71863641
Ah I see, the one i have indeed does have a pen you need to charge, although not very often.
I ordered it off aliexpress but probably a year or two back. I've still got the box for it along with all the packaging so if they haven't changed anything it should arrive undamaged.

Need a powerful (>750lm), directional flashlight to replace one of those dolphin lamps. Preferably pretty sturdy, so none of your sewer-pipe ABS garbage. Rechargeable Li-ion too, in case you can still buy AA torches. To look for a cat at night, and other multipurpose uses. Price range, maybe <$50.
Infographic has these, but I've no idea how relevant these picks still are. Going for a name-brand is still an option, but there isn't an EDC thread so I'm posting here.

Where do I start looking, are there any good reference sites and such, or any recs?

Not a hobbyist for them but I have several chink flashlights. Love my Convoy S2 and C8. I wear mine almost 24/7. I take it off when having a shower and usually charge it during that time. My work time is split between being in an office and a chemical research lab.
It's especially useful for checking notifications in the latter since taking off gloves and moving to a clean area just to check my phone is a pain.
I didn't go for a smart watch because they don't have any extra features that interest me over what the miband has and they cost a whole lot more. With this it's like $20 so if I lose it or it gets destroyed I can grab another without a second thought.

Lathe set up programmer here. That guy is retarded. Just because something is cnc machined doesn't make it cheap. Small parts are more difficult to make. Small parts that mate have lower tolerances. That means more parts get rejected, that means price goes up. When you price out a job, you not only have to consider the cost of the material and the time you spend making the part but ALSO what you could have made instead. That's not even mentioning all the thought that goes into programming and work holding. But whatever, the guy knows that cnc is a thing and once it's set up some monkey just pushes a button and makes offsets.
