I’m fine, I don’t have to work in extremes and can enjoy a beer with the lads or with dinner and be done. If you can’t control yourself with alcohol or it’s causing you harm then by all means stop, but if you can be responsible and drink in moderation or on occasion then go ahead.

Fast food is healthier than drinking. It's usually a fuckton of protein and if your calories are in check, it's fine to eat even often if your general intake of vitamins and minerals are in check.

Drinking, on the other hand, provides NO value besides calories. It literally destroys muscle, prevents muscle regeneration, destroys healthy sleep patterns (which is when muscle primarily regenerates), dehydrates you, and more.

Quite literally and unironically, eating nothing but fast food would STILL be healthier than binge drinking once a week. People don't want to be redpilled on this because quitting fastfood is easy, while not drinking is incredibly difficult for 99% of plebs so they try to rationalize their bullshit with "WELL AT LEAST I DONT EAT FAST FOOD" or shit like "WINE IS ACTUALLY PROVEN TO BE GOOD FOR YOUR HEART HEALTH" (It's not)

If you want to take fitness seriously in any capacity, you have to abstain for alcohol ENTIRELY. Even smoking is not as harmful for muscle growth as drinking is

I limit it to two or less drinks a day with some days of no drinking, though I will drink more on vacations or holidays.

The study that you are trying to reference found that it takes 6 plus standard drinks to inhibit protein synthesis for a man, and even then it’s minimal. I guess I'm not a pleb then cause for me it's the exact opposite. Decided to stop drinking, I guess starting with the "dry january" meme. All it took was thinking "just don't drink lol" and I never had any problem. Food, on the other hand, is an eternal struggle.

I drink a lot. I still lift and I work on the railway. You would give up after 30 minutes doing the work that I do. There was literally a huge roided twat who bragged about how well he would do. He quit after the 1st shift. Mind over body. You either have it or you don't.
