I always feel like I look better in the mirror then I take a picture and feel bad again. I'm 6'2, left is 8 months ago at 245 lbs, right is yesterday at 196 lbs. I feel like I've put on a decent amount of lean mass but you sure as hell cant tell from the pics. My should shoulder circ. went from 43 to 44 inches and arms went from 14 to 15 inches despite the weight loss.

The lack of strength gains from cutting is too much for me now so I'm starting to try recomping over the last couple weeks.

5'11 158lb. Trying to just lean bulk for a while. Injured myself and finally got PT, started lifting again in Jan after long hiatus.

Any good intermediate routines for hypertrophy + aesthetics? I've been doing PPL with 5x5 compounds but I feel like 5x5 is kind of hard to keep pushing myself to go up weight (I did a 531 a long time ago that was much better for this)

I did this routine for 2-3 months and saw awesome results. It’s really hard but fun, I read into it after starting and this routine is actually intended for people on gear, he recommended doing 30 reps total if natty I think in the comments. I just did 50 anyways but only did 4-5 workouts a week not 6

Cut calories further is the answer unfortunately. I plateaued at 155 (5’7 manlet) after losing 30 lbs eating 1600 calories a day. Went down to 1300 and now I’m down to 145. Still have about 15 lbs to go and my lifts are still going up during this cut thanks to being a complete dyel before 6 months ago.

You know short torso with long legs is ideal bodybuilding right? Sergio Oliva, Arnold, Frank Zane, Samir Bannout, Lee Haney, Dorian Yates, Ronnie Coleman, Phil Heath and many more had those proportions. With a few having long arms too since it tends to go hand in hand with long legs. Short torso with long limbs is what creates a flowing and aesthetic physique, the reverse makes you look stumpy and dwarf-like.

Thanks, I’ve got shit arm insertions as well. I have long bicep inserts so they look big from the side but not much of a peak. My dad on the other hand is the opposite. He doesn’t even lift, but his bicep inserts are so short that his look even better than mine.
Legs and calves are another big problem for me. My legs look pretty small from most angles and don’t get “wide”. They look big from the front, but not from anywhere else.
I’m just waiting for a steady source of gear and to be able to get access to do bloods regularly. I plan to just cruise on like 200mg test and add in a little something else in the summer if I want to get a little freaky

You will get there in 3 years time. You have the genetics for it, you just need to put on the size. Keep doing what you’re doing. If you choose to cut down lower then that’s fine, you won’t need to cut as long once you put on some size.
The leaner you are, the better your nutrient partitioning and muscle growth is.
Slow bulk at 1-2 lbs a months and you’ll be at 150 at least by the end of the year

I’m pasty white and I burn just from walking 10 mins in 70° weather. 10000% worth it. Suppresses appetite and also had minimal fat loss properties. If you’re on it for longer periods of time then that adds up, and helps you cut. If you start getting too dark just cut your dose or sun exposure

I start with a tanning bed so I can control how much exposure I get (limit sun burn)
and then I use sun. A bad sun burn is much worse than sun exposure. Too much sun exposure is still bad, but being on melanotan decreases the amount of sun you need to get dark.

I don’t think melanotan is something that’s really faked because it’s not very expensive to produce. Average price is approximately $30 for 10mg. For things like SARMS, some places sell bad/underdosed products. Whichever place you use you’ll probably be fine. 99% of peptides sites source it from China anyway

At first I thought so too, but then I thought "maybe those oldschoolers were actually right", and tried it, and that is why I take my abs and chest training (two things I'd say everyone would agree were te most appealing looking during that era) from then.
I mean it is kinda a bogus, and it isn't.
It "tightens" the transverse abdominis, which in return will "trim" your waistline, but it takes time, but if you care enough, you should do it.
It's more so for the competitive bodybuilders, because it's mostly visible when you hit the vacuum itself, just how it impacts the physique.

Also, pullovers with a dumbell lying across the bench, done properly, would also help, also build the serratus, would give one a better lat pop from the front and would give those few lowest angle chest fibers some work, which in return would give one that clear lower chest line, with time ofc. Also, anecdotally, could kinda widen the ribcage, but it must be done for prob +10 years
As an example, I'd say my chest even if not the biggest, but quality wise, it's as good as it could be regarding the size.

1 micro cycle lasts 3 weeks, everh week you're doing high, mid, low reps and after the new one, repeat it with either higher weight, or higher reps (compounds can be increases in weihht, iso work probably just reps)

They're a tricky exercise, you need to both force your shoulder blades out but have them pulled "down" so you would activate your serratus while being able to drive the force through where you direct it, while driving the force through your lats (elbows out) or your lower chest fibers (elbows in)
Also gotta do them for a long, long time, the muscles/areas they work are minisculish

Left was me after a 4 month cut after being really chubby (lost 30 lbs) in January and right is me today. I've been on a slight bulk since the left picture; my weight is up about 8ish lbs. My lifts have been increasing too. I feel like in the mirror my shoulders and arms look a lot bigger than they did in January, however, I feel like it doesn't really show it pictures.

Youve done really well to lose 30lbs but the most effective way to put on a lot of muscle is to eat a fuck load for a long time. I want to cut to around 15bf% and then lift at maintenance. My main goal is to have an athletic and functional body to keep skateboarding and playing basketball at a good level until I'm too old for both. Also to show my ex gf how determined, disciplined and sexy I can be.

For now, the biggest benefits besides the weight loss is how I am approaching food and nutrition. I've always been overweight my whole life, not sedentary, just binge eating shit to oblivion. Good thing is that my legs are stronk as fuck, carrying all the excess weight while having a mild active lifestyle made them pretty strong and solid overtime, even with the excess fat.

Breakfast: 45g oats, 100g egg whites, 30g whey protein, 85g greek yogurt, 140g fruit

Lunch: 100g turkey/chicken, 100g egg whites, 200g vegetables, 150g rice

Dinner: Changes all the time. Usually have a budget of 800-1000 calories so I can be more lenient. Ex: Saturday I had pizza which was over 1k calories but for the past two days I've been eating green curry and rice which is around 500-600. It averages out over time.

Snack: 200g greek yogurt, 100g fruit.
