Poor fag (because student) and I don’t have a lot of Space for a set up such as yours. Lifting books and Water bottles is all I can afford right now

I'd lose the elliptical if I were you and buy something cool instead

how much do I have to save to build my own home gym ? I just need a basic squat rack, a bench, a powerlifting bar & around 250kg of weight.

I’m kinda doing this, I’m putting bottles in a back back and wear it while doing squats and push ups.
>3-5 year olds for bench and ohp
Sadly they aren’t that heavy

Nice
That's a good deal for the wasteland that is Australia
>>
>>60004072
Almost exactly that cost me about $2000CAD about a month ago. Mix of Rogue/China plates/used equipment. Depends a lot on the market where you live. Like right now it's crazy and cheaper for me to preorder bumper plates than anything cast iron.

Looking to buy or build something to rest the barbell on when loading weights (cause my clamps are archaic) and double as a laying bench press.

The shit at the end of the bench can be used for leg extensions and hamstring curls and there is an attachment for preacher curls too.
Doorframe pullup but + weighted backpack + gymnastic rings attached to the tree in my garden.
I think I'm pretty well covered.

I want to put a platform and power rack inside my house (first floor, not the basement) Do I need to worry about anything other than making noise?

It is a pretty old house, and the walls are plaster. Would the vibration from deadlifts cause damage in the long run?
>>
>>60004024
How poor are you, anon?
>>
>>60006007
Not sure about plaster but constant vibrations will crack old drywall tape lines and shit.
t. Using 2nd floor washer with fucked counterweight for a year.
>>
>>60006061
Poland Tier poor.
>>
>>60006007
What's the floor made out of?
As long as it's concrete you should be fine.
I'd be very careful if it's wood and make sure that if it's my only choice I build a solid platform that distributes the load evenly over about 2m x 2m or more
>>
>>60006197
Okay, then buy a wooden blank and four of pic related. Put the blank through the handles of two of them on each side and fixate them. That's a €10 barbell.
You can also fill them with more dense material to increase the weight. E.g. sand.

I live in a very small condo so I got rid of my dining room to fit my homegym. I just stand and eat in the kitchen instead of eating at the dining room table. Making pretty good gains with this setup

>>
>>60005693
I paid £60kg for my 2x10kg last July. 2 months ago I paid £140 including delivery for 2x20kg plates from en eBay seller. No branding, just raw steel plates with sheer edges, rust spots, the lot. I think it's some lad with a small metalworking business who has found a lockdown niche.
>>
>>60008358
how do you train legs ? you dont even have enough space to bench without bumping into stuff
>>
>>60006007
>Would the vibration from deadlifts cause damage in the long run?
You shouldn't be dropping 100% out of deadlift anyway anon, you should control the weight at least 50% of the way down. Unless you're just going for 3 reps of stupid high weight.
>>
>>60008550
I move the benches and power tower to use them, That’s just where I arrange things when I’m done using them. I do pistol squats holding dumbbells once a week. I don’t really train legs often, It’s an upper body world son.
>>
>>60004072
