fpbp

>>58511855
should i actually? Would this fuck my knees? For reference, my calves are just genetically gifted. I can only squat 175 so far

fucking kek
Dolphin fitness?
>>
Dip belt with a plate. It won't be precisely the same, but it's the easiest way to keep going without trying to turn the top of the machine into an ad for IHOP

more like the only gym
im only here cuz 24 hr closed down
motherfucker doesnt even have water fountains
>>

Scale back the weight and do single legged calf raises
Or use the leg press machine, you can usually load that up heavier than whatever calf machine that is.

Also, how do you do your reps? Are you lowering the weight slowly or bouncing it?
>>
>>58511830
Make sure your going slow and tensing and feeling the inner calf muscle being worked. I say inner calf because I find that’s what is worked by calf raises without having to target any specific parf
>>
>>58513857
i mean there's pl*net f*tness, but no shot i would be caught dead there. honestly 24 hr was garbage, kinda glad im forced to go to dolphin

>>58513899
I'm doing full rom, slowly down, and quickly up.

>>58514558
yup i always make sure my calves are in line. sometimes i slip up and im pressing with my outer calves but i fix myself
>>
>>58514758
they are all shit desu city gyms all are

but aside from the century old equipment and water issue it's do-able.
>>
>>58511830
15 reps ain't shit for calves lol, bang 50 with it. Also you could switch to smith machine, do one leg at the time, pre exhaust your calves with different movement, apply long pause to bottom and top or train with pyramid/reverse pyramid. Also 1.5rep training system is worth checking out.

This. Calves are mostly slow twitch fibers IIRC so high reps (up to 50-60) and high frequency is what works.
