How does a chinlet like me trim their neckline? Should I even bother?
you should lose weight
>>17638544>Inb4 bad shirtI know. I'm stuck in Florida right now and this is the only non-flanel shirt I brought down with me...
>>17638546Agreed. I'm British, though, so I'm always gonna have a frog neck and small chin.
for the standard neckline shave 2 fingers above your adam's apple.>tilt your head up>hold your index and middle fingers together >place them on top of your adam's apple>the line where your finger end is where you shave
>>17638553This doesn't work for me. It shouldn't for anybody. Fingers aren't uniform. Some of us have sausage fingers and no jaw
>>17638556then neck yourself fucking ugly sack of lard
>>17638558Considering it. Lol
>>17638544you look like chumlee
>>17638561if you can consider necking yourself surely you can consider compensating for your sausage fingers when figuring out where your neckline should be you gigantic fucking retardyou call yourself a fucking man?
>>17638593Hey man. I'm just asking where a good neckline for someone with my jaw shape would be. Everything I've tried makes my beard look like a chinstrap.I'm also wondering if necklines are even necessary for someone like me. Maybe I should continue on the dirtbag trail. Or maybe I do a stache instead
>>17638544Keep the natural neckline.Let it grow until the hair below your chin are so long, that you cannot see the neckline anymore (about 3 to 4 month).Always keep the moustache short, like in picrel.Post a side-profile pic.
>>17638627I gave general advice on where to shave because your question is very vague.I'm going to help your fat ass again because why not.Shaving or not the neckline depends on how you look as a whole. Not maintaning a shaved neckline gives off a scraggly look. If your hair is tidy and well kept it can be a nice balance, but if your hair is also a bit messy, together with a messy beard will probably be too much and will make you look like a hobo. Add to that the fact that you are fat you will look even more careless. Now, about being a chinlet, shaving the neckline won't make you any more of a chinlet than not shaving it, in fact it might even improve it a little bit as it will give a bit more definition. Just don't shave close to your jawline otherwise it will have the opposite effect, it will make your head seem even rounder than it already is.
>>17638553I do this, but how do I go about it for the sides of the neck in order to make it even?
>>17638797>Just don't shave close to your jawline otherwise it will have the opposite effect, it will make your head seem even rounder than it already is.That's been my problem. My other issue is that I can't find examples of other chinlets with short beards and what they do with their necklines. Maybe I should shave it all off and look like a chubby Matty Healy, he got Taylor, maybe I can get a thicc Taylor.
>>17638783I had a long beard for most of the 2010s, I think they look bad now. New decade, new style.I could maybe join the mustache and stubble crew so I could look like my best friend, picrel. But I think my face is too wide/square.
>>17638544Get an electric razor with adjustable length settings. Shave red area clean and trim green area. Green area is the hair downside of your chin. For the red area place one to two fingers above your adam's apple. Everything growing below this mark has to go.
>>17639234That does not look right at all. Lol
>>17638911Identity theft is a crime Anon
>>17638911I still think this is the best approach if you want to hide a weak chin.
>>17639334Why? Lines are drawn a bit shit, but I couldn't figure out the exact shape of OP's face because too much growth and chub. End result is supposed to look similar to this.Principle is to create a defined beard shape by cleaning up the neck. Then sculpt the base of the beard by trimming the downside of your jaw to one length. These steps are just basic neckbeard removal. The rest of the beard needs some work too of course, but it's better OP figures out on his own what looks good. He can see his face in 3d, we only have two photo angles to go on.
>>17639769you look like a discord mod, lmao
>>17639619Thanks anon. I'll consider growing it out and shaping it. Not a bad suggestion.
Have you tried trying? Like actually trying? It looks like you gave up along time ago…
>>17639769Op here. I honestly want my beard to be even shorter (essentially stubble), but my jaw/chin aren't big enough to do this. I'm kinda sick of beards, every douchebag has them. They lost their luster.
>>17639896>It looks like you gave up along time ago…Lol. I kinda did. I'm getting back into putting effort into my looks. Trimming the beard from chest length down to 0.2 inches was a big improvement. I've even experimented with trimming the neckline, but nothing looked good. I'm now considering shaving the whole thing off and taking the clean face pill
>>17639769I see this beard trimming advice all over the internet, but any fat bloke listening to it looks shit with it done. You go from being a 'fat bloke with a beard' to a 'fat bloke who has attempted to give himself a jawline'. Looks bad. Is also daily maintenance, particularly with heavy growth.>>17639898Go for a 3 grade razor all over, then shave with a 2 up from the bottom of your neck to your jawline, then a 1 from the bottom of your neck to the midpoint of your neck, then finish up the bottom without the head of the razor on. You're looking to taper one into the other, which is very easy. I had a beard at similar weight to you and found this the best method. The other poster's suggestion above creates a look that's too harsh for want of a better term.
>>17639903Oh ok I see. That’s fine. I would keep the beard, it’s awesome, I would grow it out and shape it if I was you.
>>17638544Lose weight and take something like masteron to blast your hormones with T. Your chin can actually grow bigger even as an adult, although there are dangers involved in this method. This is why serial roiders, even the women, often have comically masculine faces.
>>17638544since you are fat you should grow it longer. once you lose weight/bodyfat then you can experiment with shorter beards and making the beard fit your jawline
Don't shape your beard. It draws attention to the fact that you have no jaw line, it's very embarassing.
