I need some ideas on man's style that's classy/elegant and takes some inspiration from rock/metal.
Mostly I succeed by:
1) well fit slim black jeans (slightly ripped), Tommy Hilfiger and Hugo Boss both have made some good pieces that I've worn
2) good quality black leather boots (nothing extreme, I wear either black velvet chelsea from Gant or local brand black leather ankle zipper boots with some buckles, minimalistic). I was thinking of buying all black Dr Martens 1460 (mono).
3) top is either a slim fit biker jacket (had to try a few to make sure it fits well and doesn't look too try-hard, so the one I ended up with is rather minimalistic and from high quality leather) or a high quality black coat if it's winter
4) the one part where I struggle a bit is what to wear as t-shirt / shirt
band t-shirts don't look elegant, they look cool if they're well fitting but can push it towards typical drunk metalhead style with no class
red plaid shirt I've worn with success, make it look a bit better but it's boring to wear all the time
basic well fitting black t-shirt works but provides no contrast
I thought about wearing a well fitting white shirt or just a basic white t-shirt (that looks a bit boring to me)
thoughts?
5) accessories are also a bit tricky as it's very easy to go overboard. I usually just have a black leather bracelet or a steel bracelet. tried watch instead but that looks too classy and doesn't really fit the style.
necklaces are almost impossible to pull off while keeping the clean elegant style. sometimes I take a necklace but leave it below the t-shirt/shirt so it is just barely visible around the neck.

bonus) grooming related: long hair + heard combo is the obvious choice, not much to be said here. bun looks good to make it even classier. if worn down then the hair has to be washed daily with conditioner and added volume, to make sure there is no grease. beard short to long but groomed and shaped (no wild biker beards, think more "manager beard plus").
>>
Let me know if you have any Instagram accounts that pull off the elegant rock style well, I need some inspiration.

thats literally just Hedi Slimanes SLP and Celine, just copy whatever they have in their look book

Theres not a single classy or elegant thing mentioned in your post
>>
>>17538459
Good, then I can improve so many things! Please let me know your suggestions. I'm sure you have some, otherwise you would stay quiet so you don't make yourself look like a fool.
>>
>>17538352
If you're wearing a biker jacket, wear a button up shirt. Lost of options available. You could go with satin if you want to lean into the sleeze/glam side of things, or go with a uniform type shirt with pockets and epaulets for a more industrial or conservative look.

If you want to wear band shirts, you're going to have to pair them with a classier style of jacket, like a leather blazer or car coat.
>>
>>17538527
>Good, then I can improve so many things!
Sure stop clinging to the embarrassing metal head shit for starters
>>
>>17538352
I'm not going to read your post, but your pic related is/inspired by Saint Laurent/celine/Hedi Slimane thing. You have at least 20 runaway collections to use as inspo

Ok, so you have no actual suggestions, glad you've reconfirmed to us you're a retard.

No, the only one embarassing themselves is you. I didn't ask for your snobby opinion of metal, I asked for creative advice how to make a metal/rock style look more elegant. And you came here childishly insulting me. So fuck you and fuck off, idiot.

How about you start with dressing like a normal fucking human instead of dressing like an edgy teenager?
How fucking retarded and starved for attention are you? No one gives a fuck what kind of music you are listening to.
Normal people will think that you're a retard who won't let go of his cringy subculture and "metalheads" will think that you're a retard because you're afraid to go full metalhead or that your mom won't let you.
You absolutely have to be underage and dumb as fuck because i can't even imagine anyone else starting such a cringy thread.

Pretty much this, just copy Gaahl's homework for a more masculine version. Black turtleneck and pants with a double rider, throw in some jewelry if you want, it's pretty simple. I was also going to emphasize going on the nicer side for boots but upon rereading the OP it seems like you've got it covered

>>17538683
>>17538458
Also this, just raid SLP inspo shit from the past decade, sounds like a treasure trove of the shit you want. You absolutely cannot do the Hedi look if you're at all out of shape though, don't even try if you're skinnyfat, you have to either be /fit/ or a twink to make it work
>>
>>17538705
Is that Bam Margera ?
>>
>>17541032
Thanks, I love Gaahl but I never realized to check his "civil" clothes since I always see him with corpsepaint and spikes. I'll look into it

>don't even try if you're skinnyfat, you have to either be /fit/ or a twink to make it work
yeah I got the same sentiment from another forum, basically in order to pull off any rocker / metal style you need to play into the whole archetype of cocaine rockstar who is skinny and jacked, that makes you look sexy, otherwise you end up like an old fatso dad (obvious example, old vs young Axl Rose)

haven't read the replies but I'm willing to bet a good chunk are something along the lines of pure seethe towards metalheads, the word cringe will be thrown around a few times as well, I bet this weeks wage on it.

Where do you find decent jackets? I find a lot either look too boxy, the arms are way too long or they just look cheap, I want a proper ''metalhead'' looking leather jacket (zips and shit) that doesn't fit like something from an action man figure.
>>
>>17541888
>haven't read the replies but I'm willing to bet a good chunk are something along the lines of pure seethe towards metalheads, the word cringe will be thrown around a few times as well, I bet this weeks wage on it.
Yep, you got it. I don't know why they think I care about approval from braindead normies or even other metalheads lmao.

Regarding (leather) jackets, I have the best experience with brand called Gipsy, it's German though and I don't think you can easily get it outside of Europe. They were the only ones that looked stylish and fit well, while having minimalistic design and quality material. Lots of other jackets are for me either too tryhard or "dad fit". Plus these were the only ones for my fit (slim fit, tall, long arms).
I have this one:
https://www.gipsy.eu/herren/jacken/lederjacken/3771/mavric-sf-nslv
>>
>>17542082
(and before somebody grills me, I mean "quality material" for the price, obviously you could get something super expensive if you want)
>>
I don't get why so many people on this board credit Heidi/SLP/Celine for a look that predates them by 30-40 years (think Lou Reed in the Rock and Roll Animal tour) but whatever, can work as "metalhead on a casual day" look, which might be what you're looking for.
>>
>>17538783
> they

are unimaginative people who will or already have purposely aged themselves because they think that's what they were supposed to do to avoid ridicule. Sad.

t. 'Metalhead' manchild
>>
>>17542287
>manchild

Checks out lol. i honestly believe people who fit that like, age expedited description are envious and jealous of others who live by their own terms and are overall happy. Again, very sad.
>>
>>17542301
Lmao at the increasingly longer manchild cope. The sad thing is that you ACTUALLY believe people are envious of you for being a 'metalhead' well into adulthood.
>>
>>17542304
the world would be a boring place if we all looked the same, stop being such a boring faggot let the man dress how he wants, mf I live on my own, I pay taxes, I'm gonna wear what I want, fight me you jogger.
>>
>>17542304
> people

No, it's just the very obvious types like you who put your anger and jealousy so clearly on display, who are resentful of the fact that others are happy to be who they are. You are the classic crying wojack with some sort of laughing mask over your face.
>>
>>17542312
I think it's fascinating that somebody is angry at metalheads for not dressing like a normie, when fashion is pretty much all about looking different. I don't even talk about Harajuku types, just look at every fashion show. The problem is that faggots here think that fashion = buying a brown preppy cardigan in Zara and nothing more. Meanwhile Lady Gaga wears a dress made out of literal beef steaks.
>>
>>17542304
Not envious of being a metalfag, just envious of being happy. Go out and meet some metalfags sometime. We tend to be a pretty carefree, happy-go-lucky bunch which yeah can come across as childish to normies, but I would say we are often more mentally stable and happy in our lives than they are. We are unafraid to be expressive, party like we're still retarded kids no matter how old we get, and take a lot of joy in simple pleasures, if that is what you call being childish then I guess we are.
>>
If you want to dress like a metalfag and elegant at the same time, your only option is to go kind of military, and be careful because that crosses into cringy mallninja edgelord territory real fast. Collars and epaulettes are your friend. Try on a black M65 field jacket. Trust me.
>>
>>17544510
O was a metalhead in my youth but eventually grew out of it. I hung around with lots of metalheads and still do sometimes. Your description is 100% accurate according to my experience. One thing I've noticed is that metalheads do not take themselves as seriously as the others do take them, which makes the vast majority of metalheads a very pleasant folk to hang with.
>>
>>17538352
If you're trying to be classy/elegant as a metalhead you're a goddamn poser. The look you're asking for is antithetical to metal.
Now, if you're willing to broaden your horizons and include goth and industrial into your fits, then you'll have more room to maneuver. Trenchcoats(olive, grey, khaki) , overcoats (black, grey), turtlenecks, commando sweaters, fatigue pants (look up OG 107 pants), button up shirts for formal occasions (black, maroon), henleys, cargo pants, etc.

Tldr: What you want is next to impossible unless you broaden your scope to various metal adjacent scenes, then it becomes pretty easy to pull off.
>>
>>17544510
>just envious of being happy
How would I know metaltrannies are even happy? No, nobody is being envious of the 'happiness' of metaltrannies. OP doesn't even seem happy tho that's the worst part, he's obviously not feeling comfortable in his 'metalwear' attire anymore but is too retarded to figure out how to dress by himself. Won't read the rest of your inane babbling.
>>17543875
>when fashion is pretty much all about looking different
No it's not. The issue here is not that OP is a metaltranny, it's that he can't commit to being one or commit to dressing like a 'normie', so he's in just awkward manchild limbo who is obviously already ashamed of his metaltranny looks but is too afraid to let go. That's the problem you dense pitiful retard
>>
>>17544598
>how would I know metalheads are even happy
Ask a few.

>OP doesn't even seem happy
Did you even read the OP? He seems to already like what he has going on and is just looking to make some improvements and up his game a little.

I am OP you cretin. You are replying to OP.
Also, I will admit my fault, because I didn't write OP clearly. It must be the case because otherwise I wouldn't have so many people misunderstand what I meant, such as you or >>17544533

People would never tell I am a metalhead on the first sight, specially since I never had long hair until a year ago. I just like the music. And I have been listening to it maybe longer than you're alive (~25 years). So to call me a "poser" is fucking funny. Metal is all about not caring what others think, that's why they started wearing long hair to look different to the norm. So to call someone a poser for not specifically having a certain metal style is misunderstanding the point. Normies wear Metallica T-shirts and they never heard the band.
Also, I love industrial.
As I mentioned in OP, I am not looking to make specifically an elegant metal style (that would basically mean dressing like somebody who is into gothic/symphonic metal and is not what I'm looking for). That's why I spoke about metal / ROCK style, because I don't know what to call it. Simply something towards the metal or rock style. But more tending towards something more elegant, that's why for example I mentioned the boots that I wear (idk who above told me that there is nothing elegant in OP, maybe it was you or some other retard, seriously you don't consider black velvet leather chelseas as elegant? it's probably the most elegant shoe besides full on formal suit shoes. That was when I realized you were just trolling or being an asshole so I stopped taking it seriously).
>>
And I am not happy, you're right. I never claimed that. But we are talking about fashion. All I want is to take my style (that is currently a step above normal faggot fashion with more edge, now that I have long hair people suddenly can tell that I am into rock / metal) and make it look more stylish, because simply that is the kind of fashion I enjoy. I like looking edgy but at the same time keep some class. If that breaks your brain then simply do not respond, it's okay if you aren't smart or knowledgeable enough to come up with suggestions, no reason to get all angry and defensive because of your ego, nobody will judge you here. It's alright.
