How is it that there can be this many threads about smelling stuff.
>>17006159theres an endless supply of stuff to smell
I don't have to imagine the smell. I'm enveloped in my scent cloud right now.
Did anyone pick up anything from the fragrancebuy dot ca sale? Got a few backup bottles but nothing new
any good cheap alternatives to Platinum Egoiste?looking for that kind of cooling fougere good for the summer
what fragrance will get my ex to take me back?
You're not wearing any outdated frags, right anon?
>smells exactly like GIT after 20 minutes>costs 10 times less
>>17006221Versace blue jeans smells very good I don't know why she decided to talk about that one as "outdated"
>>17006159meeting place of /fa/ no matter what style you wear we all use fragrances.
>>17006335>Has complex scent molecules that have been fully banned in Europe for 2 decades due to safety concernsMmmmm
>>17006337OG Le Male isn't "outdated" either IMOIt's pretty modern smelling because of the sweet ambery vanilla and tonka base and there really aren't many good alternatives for it if you want this kind of sweetened fougere.
I currently wear anonymous by thalium.
>>17006213chloroform pour homme
>>17006369Yeah pretty much, I think that regular people don't really care and if it smells nice to them they really won't care if is "outdated" or not
>>17006213she's already fucking other guys bro, sorry to tell you.and they wear axe
Burberry hero gets a lot of hate because it costs 100$.But honestly the scent is so much better than blue fragrances. If this cost 50$ and had better performance it'd be an easy pick over blue frags.
https://www.macys.com/shop/product/macys-favorite-scents-20-pc.-discovery-set-for-him-her-created-for-macysnot too familiar with a lot of these. look like it's worth the money?
>>17006410Not really worth it those are tiny samples not the mini bottles from the picture
>>17006369Smells very dated and disgusting. Way too powdery.
>>17006416men's frags have only gotten more powdery since then though. just look at prada l'homme or dior homme intense
Okay bros this oil perfume is called Bint El Sudan, known as the Chanel No 5 of africa for its enduring popularity.I can only find bottles being sold by hodoo shops in the west, anyway somebody get a bottle and post about it pls. I'm to scaredhttps://africa-me.com/bint-el-sudan-a-fragrance-across-the-sands-of-time/Here is the cheapest bottle i found (in the USA)https://www.etsy.com/listing/1180798716/bintu-oil-perfume-bint-el-sudanThe company that makes it is owned by IFF which is one of the big flavoring companies so it should be safe unlike a lot of the cosmetics that come out of africa.
>>17006385>If this cost 50$ and had better performance it'd be an easy pick over blue fragsthat's a lot of "ifs"also everything is better than blue fragrances, that's hardly high praiseI hope Dior or Chanel will finally come up with something new instead of endless flankers to BdC and Sauvage. the blue frag trend has gotten so stale
>>17006209>>17006225thanks, this does sound good and the bottle isn't as unbearably hideous as Armaf Legesi, which is the other popular Platinum Egoiste clone apparently
What are some fragrances that smell like Clean/Soap/out of the Shower? It's for the office
>>17006476Chanel Platinum Egoiste is an easy onesecretion magnifique gets memed as some dirty sex smelling frag but it's really just a soapy floral.
Will sacrifice coty aspen as a car parfume, need more space for sunny frags
>>17006221I mostly watch blind tests/reactions, and I remember her not even being able to identify Cool Water blindly. Not only that, she found it strikingly sexy.
>>17006483Aspen isn't sunny enough for you?
>>17006476Amouage Dia man smells like an luxury soap.
Is being anosmic to Iso E Super a meme? Any way I can test it outside of buying Molecule 01 (which isn't even pure Iso E either, or so I heard)?
>>17006476jeanne en provence neroli intense
>>17006486Its aight, im just not using it that much anymore.
>>17006476Smell like a fresh weeb
>>17006488spray some dior homme 2020 on your skin. if you can smell it, you're not noseblind to iso E, I'm pretty sure that frag is like 80% Iso E
I alreday own JV Artisan Pure, is it worth buying DH Cologne, they seem similar?
what are some really refreshing summer fragrances for someone who hates aquatics and blue frags?
>>17006499See >>17006495Or Eau Sauvage
faggot kurdjian changed the color of eau noire from green to light piss yellow. fuck him.
>>17006447Shit looks like a voodoo bottle. Stay away.
>>17006213Armani Code, the original.
>>17006496I'm seeing pretty bad longevity and projection ratings for this one, which is in line with a bunch of Iso E bombs. Might be that like 50% of people don't really perceive it well, or at least grow noseblind to it before they can appreciate the drydown.Guess I'll have someone else wear Iso E-heavy scents and only check on them after a couple of hours.
>>17006488You can buy little bottles of perfume concentration iso e super from sellers on ebay, i will link a usa seller but there are ones in Europe too. It's just 25% iso e in perfumers alcohol. This is essentially identical to molecule 1 because that's the only ingredient in ithttps://www.ebay.com/itm/133365924394They have even smaller sample bottleshttps://www.ebay.com/itm/132512319553
>>17006507It's just smelly oil man
>>17006504I find artificial colouring in frags pretty tacky. The piss tone is the most natural and might just be its actual colour, although I'm sure lots of producers still use artificial colouring to achieve that degree of yellow, to trick people into believing there's more in the juice.
>>17006525i liked the green color in eau noire, it fits the scent perfectly
>>17006514Terre d'Hermes and Encre Noire are also heavy on Iso E. TdH is a pretty strong performer too
there's got to be a fragrance that smells like latex
>>17006496I sprayed on my wrist on Sunday afternoon in the store, 2020 version Homme EDT. Couldn't smell it in the morning but suddenly it started performing for me at work(desk job) all day. I love the scent, it's woody and maybe sharp, musky but it has really pleasant accords, not sure about iso E stuff.

Guys,Are there any fragrances with real oud in it?
>>17006572Yes but they aren't worth to money, fredric malle has some frag with real oud that costs about $650 a bottle, it probably has half a ml of real oud in it.There are some small scale indy companies that make some, like Areej le Doré but again they dont use much.Just buy some oud and wear it, promise it is plenty complex on it's own.https://www.pureoudh.com/product-category/oils/There are also some attar sellers on etsy that use it, again very pricey stuff.https://www.etsy.com/shop/RisingPhoenixPerfumeThere is also this guyhttps://www.etsy.com/shop/ScentsbySkandaAnd this guy makes perfume with real oud tooAlong with loads of expensive natural florals and real animal muskshttps://tsvgaparfvms.com/https://www.luckyscent.com/brand/867/tsvga-parfums
got a sample of rien intense incense, not at all what i expected, it's a smooth/sweet incense with some leather undertones. very wearable
Can anyone redpill me on this one?Good fragrance for the whole year? how about the longevity?
>>17006684Oh wow another fragrance billed as an avant-garde stinky perfume that's Not For The Plebs™ that's actually wholly unremarkable and extremely accessible? Say it aint so.
>>17006631Thanks for the links. Ill make sure to check them out.
>>17006690I wouldn't get anything from L'Oreal brands if you care about performance, they water down their scents at random so you never know how they'll performit's also just a really generic and bog-standard blue fragrance. wear it if you want to smell okay but don't want to stand out, ever.
I caved and bought a bottle of stupid expensive smokey woody pineapple water.
This is really sweet and powdery, not what I expected at all. I thought it'd be this really deep, slightly dark yet fresh fragrance, not dusted lemon candy...
>>17006700The only place I've seen it shilled was here kek
>>17006225>>17006209>>17006467HOLD IT RIGHT THERE!Literally in the last thread I told everyone that PE and Eau de Passion are NOT the fucking same. I found it for 10€ and was ready to order 10 bottles if it has been close in the drydown (don't care about the opening). It's not the same, people on the internet must have damaged noses. The performance is even worse, and that was with 40 sprays.Don't bother with Eau de Passion.>>17006221Thanks for the update. I'm gonna buy all 7, if I don't already own them.>>17006369It's absolutely fine and still sells well. When it goes on sale, you can see a lot of posts about it on deal websites.>>17006447At that price point just get it yourself. Way too boring.>>17006499Cool Water (it's not that watery)Green Irish TweedJeanne en Provence Neroli Intense (4711 in powerful)Carven L'Eau Intense, green albeit slightly synthetic all the way. Minty fresh.>>17006572Tauer's L'Oudh. It's horrible.>>17006716Pray for a good batch.>>17006727You rating the first 30 seconds of it or what? You're more off than the bot-written fragrantica comments.
>>17006768>At that price point just get it yourself. I'm not in the US but I might search for a bottle of that stuff hereYeah I'm being a cheapass, i found cheap bottles in canada and on ebay there is a seller in france and one in the UK
>>17006768>You rating the first 30 seconds of it or what? No, I've tried it on once already, now's the second time. I do like the vetiver in this, it goes kind of grassy and hay-like on me, but I'm surprised by the amount of sweetness, I think I'm even getting vanilla.Maybe it'll grow on me, but this sure isn't what I expected.
>>17006782Gotta say that it's possible that I'm biased if it's vanilla, because I basically grew up wearing Le Male (half full bottle forgotten by the previous occupant of the hostel room). It's not that sweet to me anymore after years of Le Male.
Which zoologist frags are worth sampling? So far i tried Squid and liked it
>>17006824Hyrax has anime notes according to this reviewer
Pretty hot today, was going out for an evening walk and there was Dior Fahrenheit in the warm air, worn by someone else.Pretty fantastic. The leather with that rough fougere accord. Just going to cop it, i guess. Going to a store tomorrow to sample it, i have the fear that the petrol note is toned down in recent formulation.
>>17006840blind bought a bottle, ty anon
>>17006824Moth and Nightingale are my favorites
Man, Eau Sauvage is really shitnot sure why people name it as an alternative to Tom Ford BdJ which is much, much better.
jesus these threads are so shit
>>17006882>Tom Ford BdJNot a huge fan of BdJ, i like the lavender, not that sweet drydown of it.
>>17006882>not sure why people name it as an alternative to Tom Ford BdJthey do? they have basically nothing in common. Davidoff Zino is the scent BdJ was inspired by, not Eau Sauvage>>17006892yeah, I wish it was more fresh. that ambery sweetness makes it kind of heavystill looking for a good, not too dated fresh fougere at a decent pricePlatinum Egoiste is great, but 100$ is a lot for a 30 year old designer fragrance
i shed a tear when i sniffed cdg avignon on acid. shit's so beautiful
>>17006888What makes them shit, in your opinion? How about some constructive criticism?

>>17007367I bought it a month ago and the reformulations have destroyed it. Duration of 2-3 hours. And I'm not exaggerating. Still smelling good
>>17006146Say it with me: The natural and niche perfumery scene is a devastatingly accurate example of mindless consumerism of people who think what they buy makes them special. Natural perfumes cannot encompass the olfactory nuances that synthetics allow and are often touted by dishonest businessmen who often times ravage ecosystems in order to get their hands on these natural fragrant materials. The natural perfumery market is full of opportunists, aggressive marketing, and dishonest business practices like fake Fragrantica reviews and price inflation.I will judge the quality of a fragrance based on its smell alone.I will not fuss over synthetic vs. natural ingredients because it simply does not matter.I will not fuss over niche. vs. designer vs. masstige because it simply does not matter.Natural perfumes are not investments. Their value is about the same as any other bottle of perfume, except when marketing drives prices up.By reciting this, I am henceforth declaring myself to be a reasonable, well-informed consumer who will make wise financial and aesthetic decisions.
>>17006165props, honestly i thought barely anybody knows this scent
>>17007483Not sure about the rest of it, but>I will judge the quality of a fragrance based on its smell aloneThis 100%. The true mark of a frag head that is genuine to himself.

>>17007191Can't say, I'm still looking. I am very much thinking about getting Armaf Legasi just to see if it's actually close to PE, but I'm not sure it will be after the disappointment that was Eau de Passion. I will probably go through the list of similar fragrances and then hope for something good. For other fresh fougeres, there's still much I hope to be able to sample. I still recommend Cool Water, just because everybody can just test it at every store. I have an interview later, so I'm wearing New York Intense today, which is also very good, but probably a bit divisive.>>17007794Don't wear a fragrance to the gym.>>17007881Why would you keep a fragrance in the car?
>>17007881>>17007959Gotta agree, don't wear fragrance to the gym and don't keep frags in the car.

>>17007881Wouldn't keeping a fragrance in a car fuck it up? I mean because of the temperature and the fact cars can get very cold/warm
>>17008079I will fuck it up, dunno why this is so popular
>>17007794Don't use a frag at the gym unless it's post workout and post shower, and then keep it something fresh and light. >>17007881Temperature changes, humidity changes and light are the fastest and surest ways to fuck up a fragrance. Leave one in the car and you'll get all three. If you need to carry a frag with you then get a cheap atomizer. And if you absolutely have to have a full bottle for daily use with you in the car then keep it in its original box and put it in the glove box or something to keep it cool and dry. That'll keep it good for a little while, at least. But you're better off just using an atomizer instead.
>>17008126this has got to be satire
>>17007881I'd pick something cheaper in case it goes bad. Neroli Intense maybe, or a small bottle of Drakkar Noir
>don't use frag in the gymSure its faggot reddit in here. Use whatever u wan't stop being a pussy, no one will die if u use citrusy or aquatic frag while working out, i would rather smell that than pig smelling unwashed sweat nechbeards.

How is this? I have explorer from same house. Is it worth buying Starwalker?
>>17008216I fucking hate aquatics and someone is wearing AdG Profumo at my gym. I know because I've tested it at the store. Fills the fucking gym and I wish it wouldn't.I also don't know what shitty globogym you're working out at, but at mine, we don't have any unwashed sweaty neckbeards.Call me a redditer, I don't give a fuck.
I am honestly thankful that barely anyone close to where I live use Sauvage. I caught a whiff of it today for the first time in ages and it was nauseating.
>>17007982have you tried Eau Sauvage Extreme? it's also kind of fresh fougere adjacent and the testers can be had for 50$
>>17008256yeah it's genuinely horrendous, idk why it's so popular. BdC I can understand, it's pleasant. but Sauvage is beyond me
>>17008258Not yet. I have ESP and ESE is on my "to test"-list. I think there might have been none of it at any store around. Will try to cop a sample (testers aren't really sold in Germany). I'm currently compiling a list of stuff to sample next, anyway. The current Eau Sauvage didn't convince me, though, mostly due to lacking performance (unacceptable at that price point).

>>17008307Have you tried Encre Noire Sport?
>>17008308the current takes on eau sauvage parfum in these threads are wild
>>17008321most people shill it though
>>17008312I have and I'm considering it, though I'd prefer something without aquatic notes.
I bought a used bottle (59/60ml) bottle of Sauvage elixir for about 95 bucks. Good/bad?
>>17008337That's what, $20 less than new?I mean, if you trust the guy you bought it from, sure, but otherwise I'd just pay the extra to be sure.As for the fragrance itself, I'm not a big fan but most people think it's decent.
>>17008340I live in Denmark so retail is at about 150 bucks
>>17008344notino has it for $130either way it's not like you got ripped off since I assume you got the real fragrance, but buying used is a risk either way.
>>17008352I only buy from parfumo from verified sellers with lots of comments and points. So far I’ve not been scammed yet (only by postal service smashing my samples)
ordered some samples from fragrantworldshop and they all showed up yesterday.took about 1.5 months to ship within Europe when the expected shipping time was way less, and they ghosted me when I asked about the shipping details a couple of weeks ago.Probably won't order from them again, but the samples themselves were fine once they got here.
>>17008247Depends if you like macrolide supra. Citrusy opening that lasts for ~30 minutes on me and then just this musk. At first I was disappointed, but lately been enjoying it more as an understated office fragrance. Has a similar appeal to eccentric molecules.
>>17008328Nah, that's just me and maybe 1 or 2 other people.>>17008337I bought my new bottle for 79,20€ when it was on sale. It was from parfumdreams.de and they charge 5€shipping to Denmark. So you paid slightly above retail, if you're willing to wait for a sale in Germany. Price is probably acceptable if you don't speak German, though.

is Essential Parfums a meme?
post frags that /frag/ told you were a meme but actually weren't
>>17008659Dior Homme Intense>>17008736XerJoff Naxos at retail price. For the winter.>>17008988No, the fragrances are somewhat nice niche frags, some can be a bit polarizing. They contain many natural ingredients. I would recommend getting the sample set, its price is also counted towards the purchase of a full bottle, in case you like any of them.
Alexandria Frags are the shit boyos.
>>17009030Ive been eyeballing the essential set, but theyre out of most everything rn
>>17009025Any of the top 10 frags on major youtubers or polling lists>reee bleu de chanel and Dior homme sucksno you're just a contrarian
>>17009042Probably supply chain issues. Affects a lot of fragrances at the moment.
>>17009044I mostly agree, minus Sauvage which I genuinely dislike
>>17009052Oh wait it wasn't essential, it was Matiere PremiereFuck essential lmao
>>17009032How close is Alexandria clone juice Old Story to Platinum Egoiste? Are they at all similar?
>>17009107Alexandria clone juice is garbageTotal assJust buy those smells like oils from sketchy sellers on eBay, that faggot just buys those and then mixes them with alcohol and bottles them in his basement, he dosent make anything. Sometimes he mixies two clone oils in the same bottle and calls it his special invention. Guy doesn't even know what hes selling, said for years it was 100% puere natural essential oils when that's not how perfume works at all
>>17009055yeah Sauvage is the one exception, it's genuinely disgusting
>>17006842How old are you?
>>17009032>the state of /frag/ in May 2022
>>17009131which begs the question of how the fuck they managed to market it in such a way that it became THE fragrance to own for men.
>>17009216Because it fucking smells god to dumb ass blond girls and that's all that matters nonody cares about you fedora lords jerking eachothers peckers about how your tastes as so advanced and you are just too good to wear the most popular mens perfume. More loads have been dumped into bitches to the smell of sauvage than the rest of the top 10 sellers combined, cry about it faggots
>>17009227If you'd bothered to read the reply chain instead of instantly seething over the fact that a fragrance you own got dissed you'd see that the problem isn't its popularity but rather the fact that it smells bad. It's vomit-inducing. >i-it smells good to women who know nothing of perfume!!!so same as absolutely every frag with even the slightest bit of sillage?
anyone tried Mon Vetiver from Essential Parfums?lime and gin + vetiver soudns nice
>>17009237No dumbass it smells good to women, not your faggy sour pickles and sandalwood shit. They don't like that. I was just reminding you that you are a faggot and your opinion is worth less than shit, nobody trying to wear frags to impress your pimply ass
>>17009243You need to be 18 years old to post here.
>>17009243>No dumbass it smells good to women, not your faggy sour pickles and sandalwood shitall the art hoes go crazy for Santal 33 though and that's literally what it smells likethe truth is that women will like almost any fragrance an attractive man wears and they won't like your douchy ass even if you douse yourself in sauvage and eros
is TF tobacco oud worth trying? i see people raving about it now that it's supposedly discontinued but i'd hate to drive an hour just to be gravely disappointed
>>17009291No every discontinued frag gets hyped to hell and back and 90% of the time they aren't anything special
>>17009291I haven't tried that one. I do want to try Oud Minerale though, I guess that one anon's shilling worked on me. A truly marine scent with no generic citrus aquatic vibe sounds great.
On what occasion would one wear The Dreamer? What kind of mood or situation does it fit? What kind of person?
>>17009327Could see it working a summer evening for a calm person just taking a walk around the city.
You guys ever have someone say, or read, that a fragrance smells "like X" which then ruined the scent for you because you're now aware of it? Which?
>>17006158Is there a good American site where I could get a set of samples with a bunch of the center fragrances in this infographic? The list in the OP is primarily European, and I'm not sure how to judge the repute of online shops.Basically, I just want to try one or two from each category and go from there.
Curious if anyone can help me pinpoint what is so awful to these scents. I recently got ~30 samples and would like to avoid anything similar. Of course I have looked at the notes but I also feel like I can never smell or identify most of the notes listed in 90% of frags. Never had the coof afaik.>Lyric Man (Amouage)horrible at first but becomes laundry detergent/air freshener. So irritating to my nose I had to scrub it off after 2 hours. Was sent Man when I ordered woman.>Cheeky Smile (JUSBOX)absolutely horrible. worst frag I have ever smlled. I would rather walk around with piss on me. All synthetic, harsh, like sticking your nose in freshly sprayed alcohol but for over 8 hours. Tried to scrub off the SINGLE spray on my wrist twice at sink throughout day, and it remained, had to wait to scrub 3 times in the shower to remove. Gave my bf a headache. NOTHING like this on fragrantica, so I dunno if my sample was just bad. It was a manufacturer vial with cutesy packaging.>Arabians Tonka (Montale)Is it the rose I hate in all of these? way too prominent and has a weird alcoholic smell that never chills out, much like the cheeky smile but not as acrid>Roses Vanille (Mancera)again such a strong smell, great projection and long-lasting, but it just isn't pleasant enough for the strength to be a good thing. Doesn't smell like vanilla at all, just floral and citronella-yAlso, can someone redpill me on the hate for xerjoff here? I only got a vial of the Tommy Iommi one and it was the absolute best out of all the samples in like every way. ALSO sorry for the megapost but Rouge Smoking by BDK was a close second, but I wasn't a huge fan of the first few hours. The drydown was the best sweet, sensual, addictive vanilla scent. If anyone has smelled it and can point me to something that smells that way all the time I'd be grateful.
>>17009377The other day I tried YSL Y Parfum. It has a strong orange note. At very first I couldnt figure it out, then i read the notes and all I could smell was the persistent orange.
>>17009377Fahrenheit smells like squash
>>17008405yes, and get the EDT instead
>>17009377smells like "ketchup"smells like "Juicy Fruit gum"ruined both
>>17009377legend spirit smells like bubblegum. That's all I smell now until like 2 hours later
>>17009633wondering what your juicy fruit one isBR540 Extrait smells just like this gum on me
>>17009644juicy fruit is wanted by night
Wore City on Fire sample today. The initial spray is a little too much like a burning tire fire, but it mellows out to a very nice incense woody smell.
what a fucking disappointment it is, i know it's 10 bucks but stillneroli intense is a bit better but gets btfo by mugler cologne>>17009327imo it's great for fall and winter on evenings, if i had any dates i would wear it with real joy>What kind of person?this kind of description is somewhat cringy but probably somebody a bit introverted>>17009377no, nobody comments my frags
>>17009719How does it taste? You do do the tongue test on new frags right?
Channel your inner Jean-Paul Guerlain, /fa/.N
-co Rodriguez is shithon hon hon
>>17006146why is that dog wearing perfume?
>>17009719When I sampled this it smelled like a really delicious barbecue, very tasty but not fitting for a singular human being. Would be 10/10 for a restaurant to use as some kind of air freshener though if it existed in that form
Summer/Spring sampling, what am i in for?(Dont mind FB The Black Knight, going to compare it to Tauer Lonestar Memoirs and then buying the better of those two.)
Any recommendations for tropical climate? Gonna be moving to Florida soon
>>17006146I have this huge perfume decanter and a little perfume atomiser. I pour one into another using a very small funnel, but there's still considerable spillage. Is there any way I could pour without spillage?
>>17010225Just buy a box of pasteur pipettes or something
>>17009721Bois d'Olivier & Cade did not convince me, either. It's just a cedary-woody smell with that "olive tree" note on top. Doesn't last that long and isn't that interesting.
>>17010083maybe encre noire sport? very clean and coolingor un jardin sur le nil, vegetable and tropical fruit garden vibes
>>17010279Yeah makes sense, cheers

>>17009936Because OP is a retard
>>17010225take the sprayer off, put syringe with a needle, but break the needle so it has like 1 cm only so you won't fuck the atomizer
>>17010357This. But it’s a somewhat advanced technique. I would make a photo but I’m too lazy for that >t. decanted Neroli Intense in a handy 20ml bottle so I can reapply 20 sprays every 2-3h
>>17010333There's a couple from Demeter that supposedly do, Rain and Petrichor, but Demeter frags are notorious for having terrible performance. There are Le Labo Baie 19 and Byredo Gypsy Water that some people say have a petrichor smell to them. And Narciso Rodriguez for Him edt is said to smell like the concrete after a rain but unfortunately it's been discontinued.
>>17010083wear whatever you want here.just dont over do it with the sprays if using a heavier, warmer fragrance.
Drakkar noir came...Idk why i bought this when i hate lavender, it smells like a more upscale lavender toilet air freshener. All i pick up is lavender bros, why tf is this called a "fougere" when there's barely any floral in it aside from lavender?I wanna die fragbros...
>>17010473>why tf is this called a "fougere" when there's barely any floral in it aside from lavender"fougere" doesn't mean floral, it means "fern". fougeres are green herbal scents with prominent lavenderyou could try The Dreamer if you want a more floral fougere at a similar pricepoint
>>17010492Yeah i don't get a "green" note from it. Lavender, soap and leather are the only things i can smell.I know they removed oakmoss so maybe that's why?
>>17010502most of the green herbal notes kind of blend together into an old school soapy accordat least you didn't spend too much on it and you have that super cool bottle nowDrakkar Noir bottle is one of my favorites, despite being a bit cheap looking. there's just some unpretentious yet iconic charm about it
>>17010521It smells vintage and that's cool, i happen to not like lavender that much i think
>>17010333Gust look for Geosmin oil perfumes
>>17010473Just force yourself to wear it a few times. If you still cant stand it put it in the bathroom to spray after you shit
>>17010473Should have bought Paco PH you little faggot
>>17007832He asked if it was a good fragrance for the whole year, so go fuck yourself.
>>17010473It's really not that bad, I revisited DN recently and was utterly delighted with it. You have to get over your attitude conditioned by repros of this formula and recognize it for the elegant concoction it is. It's always a hazard with older frags, people are inclined to say "this is soapy!!" or "this smells like a urinal cake!" when really so many soaps and hygienic products were shoddy repros of this, unfortunately lending that impression on the OG for the future. If you can get over it, there's a wealth of old frags that are absolutely solid and not too pricey either.
Babby's first colognes are on order, thanks for all of the info. I tried to get one from each category in the infographics up top. Hopefully I find something I like in here.I expected to spend more than €41, so I'm pleased.
>>17010767My dad recongized it instantlt should i just give it to him lol?
>>17010775I'd sit with it some day and just try to notice its development beyond sweeping generalizations like "soap" or something, wearing it on your skin I mean. Give all your frags another chance before tossing them or giving them away.
>>17010770>Fahrenheit le parfumShould we tell him?
>>17010782Oh no, what did I do?
>>17010792Nah I'm kidding, it's probably fine
>>17010034Where do fellow germanons order their samples? I'm new to the fragrance game.
>>17010770MDCI is pretty fucking expensive for babby's first fragsurprised you got a sample of Dior Homme 2011, it's been two years since it was discontinued / re-realeased as "dior homme original" after all. I prefer the Intense and Parfum flankers personally
>>17010813Whew lad you almost got me.>>17010825I know, but they just sounded so nice... I don't plan to use it frequently, I guess. Hopefully I don't fall in love with something that costs $500/bottle or whatever.
>>17010770>Not Homme IntenseFaggot
>>17010767yeah I like it a lot too, there's something comforting about it
anyone buy fakes?got some fake creed today for a fiver, smells based
>>17010083fight fire with fireso i'd recommend TF black orchid, FM musc ravageur, L'artisan parfumeur Al Oudh
>>17010815I order most of my samples from Essenza Nobile, but there are other website. You can also check parfumo.de, on the "souk" people are selling samples (and slightly used bottles they want to get rid off).>>17010825Gotta say that among my first larger sampling rounds which weren't store tested I also ordered two MDCI frags and one of them was pretty much full bottle worthy (Chypre Palatin). Those are some good fragrances.>>17010853Even the "faux-niche" fragrances are in that price range. 250€ for Aventus nowadays. Fragrances have hit the mainstream and it has increased demand and ruined prices.
>>17010770>fahrenheit parfumbased, but the original is worth trying too, it's a bit more unique>ambre sultanvery nice amber with an interesting herbal twist>fierceI've never tried it because the bottle is aggressively homoerotic lmao, I'm fine with Le Male but this is just too much. it's also a little pricey for a fast fashion brand's fragrance>Eau Sauvage ParfumI was surprised and kind of disappointed by this one, it's pretty sweet and vanilic to my nose, not what I expected at all>Dior Hommeclassic, but I like Intense and Parfum more. Intense you can sniff at most stores too
>>17011109Thanks for the info. I got the A&F one because my girlfriend specifically called it out. I can't quite recall the scent since I never shopped there, but I doubt I'd go with it for regular use from what I remember.
>>17010914>anyone buy fakes?Not intentionally.

>>17011420I spray about 4 times a day.I sprayed 4 times Angel's Share and got multiple women sniffing me at the office and telling me I smelled comfortable and good
>>17006184There is a reason you can buy that turpentine shit for $15
>>17006221I really want to fuck her :\
>>17007982If you're in a job where you drive a lot and go to meetings, you should keep one in the car
>>17011596I drive a lot but always keep my bag with me - haven't found myself in a situation where a travel spray in my bag hasn't worked for me
>>17009242I have a sample. It's a nice soft vetiver that wears well in warm as well as cold weather. Great office scent but not in the same tier as Prada L'Homme.
>>17011109>>fierce>I've never tried itYou're not missing much, TRUST ME.
>>17011596The car is a terrible place to keep your frag.
>>17011434Angel's Share is one that I always intend to test but never seem to get around to, but boozy scents are my favorites in the autumn.
asked the girl I slept with what she thought of my fragrance, as is traditionI wore tom ford beau de jour and she said it smelt manly and great
>>17011586Go for it, anon.
