Thoughts on this?
>>16484206It's turmeric + vetiver. Smells like a worse version of guerlain vetiver imo which is 10% of the price.
I'm off on holiday with some friends and some love interest is there. I want to find some inoffensive fragence just to smell good when about with friends. Nothing strong. So far I found (and never sampled)>Tom Ford Grey Vetiver Eau>Bleu de Chanel Eau de Parfum>Montblanc Explorer Eau De Parfum >Dior Homme Cologne I guess aswell I want to smell alright for the trip, is there a general on 4chan on anyboard for like basic hygiene and smelling good in general?
Hi /frag/, I posted this in the old thread but it was unfortunately discontinued soon after.I'm about to blind-buy a few samples and am wondering: are any of these redundant? Could some be swapped-out for other fragrances I have not listed? For reference, I am a 21-year-old male. Here is my list:Dior Ambre NuitDior Homme Cologne 2013Diptyque Tam Dao EDTFrederic Malle L'Eau d'HiverFrederic Malle Musc RavageurGuerlain HeritageHermes Terre D'Hermes Eau Tres FraicheNarciso Rodriguez For Him EDP IntenseNarciso Rodriguez For Him EDTPrada Amber Pour HommePrada Infusion d'HommeThank you for your help :-)

>>16484217>I guess aswell I want to smell alright for the trip, is there a general on 4chan on anyboard for like basic hygiene and smelling good in general?Where are you going anon? I tested grey vetiver and like it. For general hygiene, scrub under your arms and private parts, put some witch hazel in a spray bottle and spray it under your arms and privates in place of deodorant. Drink lots of water, cut out sugary drinks.
>>16484245new york, will be doing day acivities like zoo's and resturants in the evening. I like to take it easy with smells because I get headaches real easy, things would be easier for me if I had zero smell to me. I just want to smell nice and not bad.
>>16484192ia there any linear scent that’s like kouros’ musky drydown
>>16484217Check out the FAQ paste for newfrens in the OP. There are some basic tips there to get you started. Also, I'd add to your list Versace Pour Homme, Versace Dylan Blue and Montblanc Explorer to try out
>>16484217This is all you need to know for hygiene https://youtu.be/pjDAV6BmN6E
>>16484253Grey vetiver was as subtle and clean smelling of a perfume that I tested. Witch hazel spray under your arm is good for getting rid of BO and keeping it from coming on. NYC is an overpriced city full of soiboys. Should’ve picked anywhere else.
Looking for less expensive and comparable perfumes to Tom Fords’ oud wood and grey vetiver. Are there any that I should add or take away from the list?
>>16484206Garbage.Get the Vetiver Extraordinaire. It is superb.
So I know I'll get meme'd on for this, but I just wanted to give my opinion since I myself got played by what I perceived to be genuine hype.Bois Impérial... I don't understand the schizos' insistence on posting about it in every thread, because honestly it isn't an extraordinarily remarkable scent. Other trends such as how gay Ultra Male is or how much of a sigma Kuoros will make you have a clear story and are understandable if you've put your nose to the scents. In a way I suppose the irrational spam of BI is tragic because the scent is snice. I'd never go as far as to call it a staple of my collection or pinnacle of perfumery, but nonetheless it's mischaracterized as something greater or worse purely because of spergism. All in all Bois Impérial is a fresh, woody and slightly juicy fragrance akin to Grey Vetiver that goes easier on the vetiver and its smokier facets, and relies more on basil and akigalawood to give it some effervescence. To me it's the definition of dumbreach without being too generic, so it's earned its spot in my collection. Nothing that so far has sparked any excitement, just "you smell nice", and sometimes that's enough.7/10 for me.
>>16484353Do the woody notes turn warm/creamy in the drydown? If so I might check it out.
>>16484351It is superb if the rubber note doesn't bother you, and you can accept the abysmal performance.
>>16484217>Bleu de Chanel Eau de Parfum>Montblanc Explorer Eau De Parfum yeah these two will do fine, very inoffensive everyday fragrancesgrey vetiver is more classy - dry woody and earthy. good for formal occasions and work, but not everyone likes the earthiness of vetiver and IMO it's kind of cold and serious for everyday useremember to always try before you buy. these are very popular fragrances so you should find them easily in local stores and test them out
>>16484287what site is this?Where do I buy samples, like 1-2ml bottles?
>>16484378cheers buddy, i'll make sure to try them out in store or get hold of some samples
>>16484380>Where do I buy samples, like 1-2ml bottles?>>16484287>>16484192>http://www.theperfumedcourt.com/It’s this one from op. I ordered once from him and it worked well.
>>16484287frederic malle isn't really cheaper than tom fordyou should add encre noire sport, it's probably more similar to grey vetiver than normal encre noireI'd say you can remove cartier declaration. I like it but it's not really similar to either of these perfumes
>>16484367In a sense it does mellow out, but it has some real longevity to it. I wouldn't say it turns creamy as much as juicy like I said; it retains freshness in a remarkable way and is definitely comfy for it. It's not really enveloping though as it stays airy.
>>16484378>grey vetiver is more classy - dry woody and earthy. good for formal occasions and work, but not everyone likes the earthiness of vetiver and IMO it's kind of cold and serious for everyday useI disagree. It’s a clean earthy scent. Smells natural and is inoffensive. My wife found grey vetiver nice and green Irish tweed offensively sweet. Scent is subjective. Find something you like, if you have a significant other make sure she likes it too.
>>16484371>rubber noteThere is none>abysmal performanceAll vetivers perform like crazy.
>>16484381look into some of Prada's fragrances too - they have a reputation for being very clean and inoffensive, sort of soapy in a good way
>>16484353>All in all Bois Impérial is a fresh, woody and slightly juicy fragrance akin to Grey Vetiver that goes easier on the vetiver and its smokier facets, and relies more on basil and akigalawood to give it some effervescence. Nothing that so far has sparked any excitement, just "you smell nice", and sometimes that's enough.Sounds nice. Might sample. Are there any other perfumes that are in this same direction that you like better? I like the dry, earthy, woody, clean scent. This is what I’m considering trying next. >>16484287
Thoughts on just getting a fancy showergel to smell nice all day?
>>16484392Did that for a long time. Jack Black Turbo Body Wash smells amazing but I switched to unscented when I got into fragrances.
what frag is he wearing?
>>1648440210 sprays of Terre d'Hermes
>>16484395interesting, what deodrant would you use while doing this?
>>16484408One that either matches the body wash scent or compliments it. I just used the Jack Black deodorant. It's so much simpler to use unscented for everything and then depend on your frag choice for the day being what you smell like.
>>16484402Glengouliegh Blue and gunpowder residue
Just blind bought a bottle of this, what am I in for? Will 10 sprays be enough?
>>16484414You got your replies last thread at this point you're just trolling/baiting. Fuck off.
>>16484414First 10 minutes: beautiful, sexy, wild, opulent, sunny, like literally the best stuff about Africa. After 10 minutes: it literally smells like someone has openly pooped in the room and then hid the smelly excrements somewhere hot and humid and undetectable.
>>16484402Daytime: Eau Sauvage parfumNighttime: Amouage Epic Man
>>16484391Well Ganymede by the same perfumer is popular, although I hear the two are similar enough not to warrant owning both. From personal experience I felt it was close to Encre Noire Sport which is kind of a woody but fresher take on EN. The juiciness of the citrus in that one is close to the basil of BI, but I wouldn't call them dry.Actually come think of it, Encre Noire A L'Extreme kind of matches your description more. Price is nice, although if you had the money Sycamore by Chanel is said to be better yet similar.
>>16484391Also as a heads up since you mentioned it, I got the sample pack from Essential Parfums which included Bois Impérial and several others. BI was the one that stood out to me but there was another nice vetiver based scent. Comes with a voucher for the same price as the discovery pack, so you don't stand to lose more than shipping costs.
>>16484389Absolutely is, train your noseExcept this one

>>16484517Profumum Roma Acqua di Sale
How do you store your frags? I heard bathroom is a bad idea.
what online shop can ship samples to the UK?
Does it REALLY matter if I wear a cologne which is marked as summer, in winter!??
>>16484596no, its your fragrance and your money, if you like wearing it in the winter, why the fuck not?
Fellas, I’m feeling a blind buy coming up…
do you think it would be weird if I wore this to a date as a man? im pretty effeminate
Time to spray myself before gym.
>>16484206Bourdon is a hack and all his frags smell like washed rind cheeses
>>16484605>>16484574I think summer fragrances can work better in the winter than winter fragrances in the summer.
>>16484492I'm telling you friend, lapidus sport is what you want. Cheap, floral, just a hint of something musky and a bit of aquatic goodness
>>16484492>Pour un hommeIf you want to get that make sure you grab the vintage version. It's pretty cheap and it will give you better performance and a nicer drydownhttps://www.ebay.com/itm/171274891511
>>16484608Why? Half of their frags blow ass. It's a 50-50 shot at best
>>16484253I was in NYC recently and it was awefull. Don't go to the Bronx. The city is a ghost town and is wayyy more expensive than what it's worth.Food was terrible, any relatively affordable restaurants have only awefull wines, the kind of table wines you get for free with a lunch meal in southern France.
>>16484634If it suits you well then go for it. I'm by no means afraid to wear feminine frags and although some smell nice on me, I avoid them because they don't suit my personality that well.
>>16484706I've had an autistic obsession with fragrances that situate well within a cyberpunk/ human-machine aesthetic for a while. That said, I've never been guided wrong buying on note description alone, so if this sounds good I seriously doubt I'll regret buying.
>>16484698Kek, you guys should test it. Smells like a sharp rose deodorant for women. The aquatic note makes the rose scent even worse.
>>16484722>I've had an autistic obsession with fragrances that situate well within a cyberpunk/ human-machine aesthetic for a while. That said, I've never been guided wrong buying on note description alone, so if this sounds good I seriously doubt I'll regret buying.Any good frags with a motor oil and metal kinda vibe?
worth a blind buy?
>>16484206It’s one of the best masculines from the line. Smells absolutely nothing like Guerlain vetiver or what else is being described by others who clearly haven’t worn it. It smells like Angelica, Cedar, and Musk. Bourdon also created coolwater which is arguably the greatest influence on every current best seller designer frag.
>>16484353>Bois Impérial... I don't understand the schizos' insistence on posting about it in every threadAnon, has Quentin Bisch fucked your mother or something? It’s not really posted that often and when it is then people say that it’s indeed a great, safe, crowd pleasing scent but nothing groundbreaking. So basically the content of your post minus you being hysterical.
>>16484711You clearly had no idea what you were doing it where to go if you only had bad food and thought it was a ghost town. NYC is the most dense place in America most Michelin starred restaurants in the western world. Lower Manhattan has been absolutely packed for the last year
>>16484353What you’re describing is exactly why people like it. When you try it up against a lot of the other dumb reaches here, you start to realize it’s a step above the others
So now that the dust has settled can we agree that the first anon who posted about Bois Imperial, and unilaterally declared it /frag/ core was correct? It's the perfect crowd pleasing mass appealing scent in like with current trends like Hermes h24 and Dior Homme 2020 except slightly more exciting and interesting.
>>164843535.5/10 for meCulinary basel smell that dried down into an unpleasant vetiver/basil combo. Their vetiver frag is much better imo. But I do think that their sample pack is worth a shot. It seems the dry down either goes the way I described or a fresh green vetiver with woody notes(what I was hoping for). Its a skin chemistry russian roulette.
>>16484847Nyc is nice if you like overpriced items, faggots, Jews and diversity. I personally do not.
>>16484853ok Quentin, whatever you say
>>16484853Correct. And like every fragrance, it’s not going to please every single person. I think it is much better than H24 and Dior 2020
>>16484857The is is exactly why things should be sampled first. There’s no fragrance that works for everybody. BI dries down to a creamy fresh wood on my skin. I barely get any vetiver. I also thought Mon Vetiver was pretty nice.
>>16484670yeah, millesime imperial is a "summer" fragrance that i see working anywhere, anytime
>>16484853>>16484875what's the verdict on H24? I liked the opening when I tried it in the store, but idk about performance or how it actually wears on skin
>>16484221Amber PH or Infusion d'HommeDior Homme Cologne or Eau Tres Fraiche
>>16484883>yeah, millesime imperial is a "summer" fragrance that i see working anywhere, anytimeI thought it was too feminine. But I did enjoy it and can imagine using it in the spring time. >>16484353I’m buying the sample pack instead of >>16484287>>16484384Thanks anon. I found the Cartier from the flow chart in op
>>16484884I sprayed it on my wrist once and didn’t really have any interest in re-visiting it. I’m not really sure Bois Imperial should be in the same category as it.
Where do you all buy your frederic malle decants? I can't seem to find anyone reputable to buy from. And i'm not sending some pajeet $300 over venmo if they dont have any rep. Don't want to end up with alcohol added or fake shit.
NEW FRAG FROM J-LO NIGGAS
>>16484698Thanks anon, this looks really nice i will consider it
I easily get headaches from sweet/powdery frags. Can you recommend green or fresh or woody frags that aren't sweet?
>>16484961guerlain vetiver or tom ford grey vetiver
>>16484976>guerlain vetiver or tom ford grey vetiverHow do these compare to Bois possey Imperial by essential parfumes nose by bisch boi?
>>16484730I wish I was more familiar with metallics, they sound really cool but I'm lost in that category. Closest I get to machiney/tech moods is iso E or heavy vinyl/ aldehydic notes... these all give off a "new piece of tech right out of the box" type of scent for me. So any Iso E-heavy frag really, I also just got Room 237 which on me starts out with some fresh greens but settles into a "fresh breeze blowing through a computer lab" kind of scent, or at least that's as best as I can describe it. That's apparently the "vinyl shower curtain" note.
>>16484979They smell nothing alike
>>16484353>the schizo's insistencehe's not a schizo, he's a shill
>>16484976I like grey vetiver. I can’t afford a whole bottle so will try the guerlain. I hope I like it too.
>>16484961Monocle x Comme des Garcons Scent 3: Sugicheaper:CK One L'eau D'issey
quick, what's the best cheap (under €50 per bottle or so) incense frag?fresh, warm, big, small, enormous, mature, young-ish...just nothing sweet and little to no flowers
>>16484574Store them in a cool, dark place with low humidity. A cabinet, dresser drawer, closet shelf will work best. Never leave them in direct sunlight or in hot, humid places. Think of them like bottles of wine. You wouldn't store your wine in the bathroom, don't do it to your frags either
>>16485064I honestly know of few explicit incense frags in that price range. I would recommend to cut your losses and pay double that for a bottle of CDG Avignon, which you will surely not be disappointed in.Closest cheapies off the top of my head that I've tried would maybe be Estee Lauder Youth dew ("old person" frag that mellows into warm, spicey notes and incense compounds; has florals but it doesn't strike me as excessively flowery) or Peau de Pierre by Starck (earthy, smokey, kind of strange but I think it has an incense vibe).
>>16484596Yes, it matters to how well your frag will perform in that weather.
>>16484913>I’m buying the sample pack instead ofOn a second thought, maybe I’m not. There are only two scents that lean masculine. The vetiver and boi possy imperial
>>16485025No the schizo is the guy who thinks bois imperial is being shilled and writes over the top obvious shill posts for bois imperial to try and convince other posters that it is being shilled
>>16485064Vintage bijan man. It's a bit thick rich incense frag with lots of sage. The vintage boxes look like this one with no window on the front.https://www.ebay.com/itm/114414594448The versions in these black boxes are also vintage.https://www.ebay.com/itm/282726812447

But with the extremely, extremely obnoxious shilling that’s been done here it might as well been the signature scent of BLM. I will never give it credibility and there is no middle ground where we can agree to disagree. Fuck that cologne
>>16485131>literally no one discussing bois imperial >out of nowhere there's dozens of posts in every thread about how bois imperial is the greatest frag ever, complete with bullshit stories about fisting models that beg for his cock all because of bois imperial >gets called out for the shilling bullshit>immediately switches tactics and claims all of his over the top posts were actually done by the real shill who hates bois imperial >gets btfo by an anon posting about bois imperial helping him attract black bulls >the bois imperial shill gets so butthurt that he fucks off for a thread or two>now he's back with "THE REAL SHILL IS THE SCHIZO WHO DOESN'T LIKE BOIS IMPERIAL" line trying to deflect from getting called out yet again for being a shillJust fuck off already, your bullshit is getting old

>>16485279People bought it and talked about it, then other people bought it and talked about it, etc etcThen you had a fit of autism because you think that there is corporate shilling on 4chan to try an push a fragrance in a thread that has maybe two dozen regulars and you decided since you weren't familiar with the frag anyone talking about it must be shills.People shitposted about it because it's funny to watch you spazz out. This is somehow proof to you of real genuine shilling. Now anytime it gets mentioned you yell shill and sperg out about it.
The only shills on /fa/ are the real genuine paid by the Chinese government shills that post hanfu threads.
after being impressed by several Armaf's, I'm branching out into Dua. What am I in for?I ordered: Casino Elixir (BR540+aventus), Zest (Ultra Zest), and Royal Chariot Attar (PdM Layton)
might be on a mcdonalds date potentially getting a gf at last soon lads. What frag do I wear to seal the deal?
>>16485387Dua is a huge step down from armaf.>Casino Elixir (BR540+aventus)Just so you understand there is a guy buying premade BR540 clone perfume oil and aventus clone perfume oil both from one of the handful of companies that sell blended perfume oils. where in the world do I buy Dua frags in Europe from?I'm interested into the Viking and SMW clone but I can't find any discounter or even shady ebay seller carrying them, and if I buy them at full price from Dua's website they end up costing more than legit Creed sampler bottles per ml>inb4 get the Creed sampler bottlesbut I'm a cheap fuck, I can't bring myself to spend €100 for an ugly bottle filled with diluted smelly water

>>16485518Is that gents scents?I think he’s a probably a really nice guy, but I don’t value his opinions too much
>>16485505Don't buy dua, as you have noticed it's hardly cheaper per ml than the real thing. Stuff is a joke, their customers must all be bad at Math.
>>16485505>, I can't bring myself to spend €100 for an ugly bottle filled with diluted smelly waterWhy the fuck would you buy diluted fragrances? What they hell are you doing? >>16485523>don’t value his opinions too muchNeither do I, but I did when I started the journey and discovered quite a few snice frags through his channel. Now I'm advance enough that I don't give a shit what anyone thinks and willingly smell like shit, but still nice to watch him from time to time and his braphog wife that I want to titty-fuck and maybe cut her arms off and play with her blood.
>>16485505If you can't spend 100$ maybe this isn't for you? I sacrifice other hobbies and save money on other things so that I can spend money on smelly water. A full bottle of designer fragrance is usually 60-80$ at discount, same as a full price videogame.

Basically a niche Sauvage. And then there are faggots who try to reach some critical mass of shilling by recommending it in the most ridiculous situations in an over the top manner.

The funny thing about the schizo’s activity is that he’s just cementing Bois Imperial in everyone’s mind here in the long run. This is a very new but solid fragrance that will defend itself easily and I’m sure gonna eventually become a /frag/-core. There are not so many so versatile, affordable fragrances like that in the overlap of designer and niche worlds. Very high scores of 8.3/10 on Parfumo and 4.29/5 on Fragrantica only confirm that it’s indeed a hidden gem that has lots of potential to blow up and not some meme “shilled” here by some group for no reason like he wants to portray it as. The best thing he could do is to hope that people will rather stop talking about it whatsoever (in a good or bad way). At this point with all of his posts it’s like a snowball rolling though and I think that more people will try it out of the sheer curiosity and then be surprised that it’s actually indeed good and not a meme. Such is a fate of midwit with some severe control issues. I’m gonna love seeing it.

Why is it that after only owning them for about a year some of my perfumes have gotten....spicier or louder from the initial spray?Am talking about YSL Y EDP,Dylan Blue and D&C light blue,I store them away from the sun in a wardrobe and I don't think they have gone bad, perhaps more potent but the first sprays are really overwhelming now compared to when I first bough them...It's just that it seems that one note stands out now more

>>16488047suck a dick nigger. >>16488052>Yes.ffs didn't we do a demographics poll or an age poll or something like that? I thought /frag/ was more than zoomers.
>>16488052I am gif anon.I know how annoying this all is but it's a little late to make another thread. No point in making yet another thread split and flaming this even further. I guess we'll let the other thread play out and see what happens
>>16488059Get mad if you want but if it really bothered everyone then they wouldn't be bumping the other thread instead of this one. I doubt this bullshit has reached critical mass yet.
>>16488062>play out and see what happensBet my Xerjoff collection he's just gonna make another premature thread about BI before anything.
>>16488071Yeah, I agree. He's only poisoning the well against himself. It won't take long for everyone to get sick of it

>>16487976I don’t have friends
>>16488086I'll be your fren anon (:>>16488085Think he's talking about me. I make threads here and there to give Gif Anon a break.
>>16488062>>16488091Oh. So I guess this will be the first thread in a while where we wont see a "NEW --> --> -->" damn... well more to add to the /frag/ lore I guess.
>>16488091Hello, Nice Anon.I hope you're doing well.I guess we'll get this thread to bump limit, at least.
>>16488099Hope you're well yourself, friend. We made it comfy while we could. Better not to intervene, things like these tend to fix themselves.
>>16488099>>16488110You two faggots should just accept BI is THE superior /frag/, it was about time this general got some culture
>>16488113Correct!REMINDER THERE'S ANOTHER THREAD FOR ACTUAL MEN>>16486962 >>16486962 >>16486962 >>16486962 >>16486962 NO ANIME ALLOWED. NO FAGGOTS ALLOWED. CHADS AND BI ENJOYERS ONLY.
>>16488110Remember when anons were complaining about the anon who would make like one Mr. Bubble post in a thread?Mr. Bubble ain't looking so bad anymore, is he?
>>16488124>Plot twist: The Mr. Bubble anon is the BI Schizo and is doing all this to punish those who mocked Mr. Bubble. Holy shit brehs...
>>16488126Life is stranger than fiction, bro
>>16488126fuuuuk I actually like that theory lol. Or maybe the "long gone' Civet Anon. Dun dun duuun.
>>16488165God I preffer that 1000 times over the BI-GGER
>>16487918Have you really screencapped your own post just so you can repost it? I mean, it was funny the first time but desu not funny enough for anyone to bother
>>16488174BI stands for Blacked Incel desu.
>>16488052Lmao you’re a fucking moron if you think anyone in these forums is buying FM at retail.
