You didn't fall for the pex meme, right?
We use it a lot here when the piping is embeded inside the concrete slab. There's absolutely nothing wrong with PEX
>>2550367Phitoestrogens.
>>2550371They are good for you. Drink your tap water.
>>2549984so why arent the mods removing these obvious troll threads? are they busy giving Hiro handjobs in the mcdonalds bathroom? goddamn
>>2549984Can you circle the spot where the pex leaks? All I see is copper to PVC failure
>>2550565tranny
>>2550571PEX plumbing makes you more receptive of the Devil's influence
>>2549984Around here PEX is only used in ghetto areas because Jamal keeps stealing copper pipe.>>2550565Half the catalog is bait threads. No one cares.
>>2550565> why arent the mods removing these obvious troll threads?because they're retarded cocksucking pedophiles and they don't give a single shit about the quality of this board as long as it remains properly weaponized for spreading long nosed propagandaAlso, pex is great and the only meaningful problem with it is that because its ease of use attracts sloppy installs by extremely low skilled users who wouldn't even have attempted to do the work with copper
>>2550668>its ease of use attracts sloppy installs by extremely low skilled userscitation needed
>>2551319source: common sense.fucking moron.
There's a PEX meme?Is it funny??
>>2551319PEX is considered to be easier to use by homeowners and handymen compared to copper. It gets used a lot to complete sloppy shitjobs because it is seen as accessible by these users. Then these sloppy installs are pointed to as to why PEX is a shitty sloppy untidy material compared to the neat and tidy look of copper.Source: get a brain you stupid fuck and get some real world experience and you'll find out. Did you want me to link a peer reviewed study from an ivy league university which covers the prevalence of sloppy PEX jobs being done by homeowners and nogger handymen compared to copper?Every building and plumbing material/technique has both advantages and drawbacks. Which set of tradeoffs is right for any given application should be considered on a case by case basis. There are a lot of use cases where PEX is a good and reasonable choice.
>>2550668The mods only give a shit about cultivating their subreddits. They only delete shit here that triggers them, like racism. >>2551531>PEX is considered to be easier to use by homeowners and handymen compared to copper. It gets used a lot to complete sloppy shitjobs because it is seen as accessible by these users.Partially correct. Most of your DIY or part time plumbers will use Sharkbites because they are ridiculously easy to put in and you don't need special tools.Slumlords and house flippers love PEX because it doesn't get stolen by the local diversity. It does install quicker than copper too, provided you buy the correct tools.
>>2551616>The mods only give a shit about cultivating their subreddits.sir, this is a Wendy's.
>2023>falling for the PEX meme>falling for the copper meme>falling for the lead meme>not disconnecting entirely from the municipal supply>not having your own quarry>not supplying your house via an aqueduct constructed of hand quarried stone and volcanic cementenjoy your growth hormone, plebs
>>2551319>t. never been in a basement or attic
>>2552717hand quarried stone will still contain radioactive isotopes due to nuclear testing. if you don't live near a natural spring and do all your bathing and cooking literally in the spring you're literally poisoning yourself.
>>2553275>if you don't live near a natural spring and do all your bathing and cooking literally in the spring you're literally poisoning yourself. This sentence literally gave me cancer.
>>2554086i guess being illiterate can be deadly, who knew.
>>2552717These aqueducts were covered with lead.Enjoy.
>>2553275>hand quarried stone will still contain radioactive isotopes due to nuclear testing.Radioactivity in stone has nothing to do with nuclear testing.
>>2554525whoa look at the big brain on brad! lmao get laid, nerd.
What is the high test water conduit material?
Anyone know why the drain pipe on a sink would develop large holes on the top? This happened a couple of times at an airbnb I was looking after, the pipes seemed to be eaten away by some sort of vapours. Happened twice that I saw. Place was not heavily used, maybe a couple weekends a month tops.
>>2554705probably an animal chewing on it which came in through that giant gaping hole in the wall.
>>2554784There were rodents in the place, but I didn't see anything else get chewed like that, but a similar hole appeared in the same place on the pipe I replaced. I figure some sort of caustic vapour coming out of the septic tank
>>2550371>Plumb entire house in copper to avoid phito.Oops sorry brah all water mains are in pvc and municipex top kek
>>2554705yeah, it was those "vapors" known as mice.
>>2555107nah that's definitely an animal my dude. plug up the hole and put a cat under the sink idk.
>>2552717>I've been to Rome and there are OG public drinking fountains supplied by the original aqueducts.. I don't know if they have been upgraded or maintained since, but the fountains themselves are ancient looking and the water comes from the mountains. Water is clear and tastes really good, they flow continuously 24:7 there is no tap just a pipe where the water comes out, looked copper.
