It's not that hard to fix Alfie. Someone just needs to sit down with her and tell her it's okay to enjoy sex the way she does. And it's possible to be friends with people who disagree because hey, you're not fucking them. It's a pretty happy and hopeful story. I feel like it tackles sexual differences in a very mature manner, far better than any other fiction I've read or seen. The setting is exceptionally progressive and peaceful, moreso than our own world and that helps make the sexual lessons more clear.

Whilst it could hint at how the main story could go I highly doubt he'll bring out Hobbit-slut-genes this late and I also doubt he'll end it in a similar way given that he's said he's learnt his lesson and the story itself outright says how stupid the ordeal was.
it's not great but really fucking bad is a bit of a stretch. Yes I agree that the snake-slut-genes detail was pretty stupid but I think getting rid of that and with minor changes it would be fine.
