Thanks to the anon who recommended this show its so great and comfy and I'm gonna go watch the movie right now, in case I don't came back at least have this Bob's Burgers thread!
>>133135088This shit is ugly and feels like it was written by and for wine aunts that use facebook
>>133135469Better than calarts cartoons full of lesbians that this board jerk to
>>133135088Oh, come on now. You can't just introduce yourself like that and take off. What made you finally decide to start Bob's Burgers? Which episode made you fall in love with the series? What was your impression of the premise, aesthetic, and characters beforehand? I'm ALWAYS chompin' at the bit to talk all things Bob's Burgers, especially with newcomers.
i watched the pilot but i wasnt "getting" it. does the show change any? does it get better?
>>133136526Season 1 is pretty different from the rest of the series—both visually and writing-wise—but the pilot establishes the basic premise and each of the Belchers really well. It also presents the heart of the show and Bob's role both in the context of Bob's Burgers and in his service to its jokes. The pilot is very divisive. People who get around to checking out the series either love the first episode or hate it. I personally find it both hilarious and surprisingly moving every time I revisit it, but the characters are admittedly more rude at that point. Still, you do already get a sense that this is a real family that cares for one another, even if they sometimes have weird ways of interacting. There are some real standouts in S1—though, S2-6 are considered "peak Bob's Burgers"—so I say at least keep going if you're even marginally interested.
>>133136601i just thought it was alright. yes, i was pleasantly surprised that the family was actually kind of grounded and not just caricature assholes. you make it sound very intriguing past season 1, i will give the rest of a go, thanks anon!i looked at your pic and thought it was the golden laughing face, i have fucking brain rot
>>133136631I'm sure you'll get something out of it the deeper you get into the series. Side note: While the movie chronologically takes place after Season 12, it's designed to still be approachable to people who've never seen the show before, so don't feel as if you have to watch EVERY episode before checking it out.
New Central Park just dropped
>>133136925Ew mixed kids
>>133135088That season 1 promo art always makes me nostalgic
>>133135088Characters too ugly. They look creepy, they scare me.
>>133137152Don't be scared, they won't bite
>>133135088>>133137183season 1 in general makes me nostalgic and scared
I hate this show more than The Great North. I hate it more than Big Mouth. Also hate it more than Harper House. It's like the Bob's Burgers writers focus on making their characters as quirky as possible but they forget to put anything redeemable in there. And they do the "smiling friends" thing where they think stuttering and "uhhs" make a conversation relatable or humorous. Also I wish I could bring Teddy to life just to beat him to death
>>133136498I don't think OP's coming back, anon.
>Clackity clackity clack...
>>133137624I like the art style here.
>>133139491Bob's Burgers have a lot of cute little girls.
>>133136925One of the better Central Park episodes as of late. Some cute songs, sweet Owen lore, and the B- and C-plots were funny. I've also given up hope of any Bob's Burgers easter eggs, but this one came the closest to giving us just that. It's probably not even a deliberate one, but I'll take what I can get at this point.
>>133138713I feel like we don't get enough Gene and Louise team-ups anymore. If the writers are so against giving the Belcher kids friends, the least they could do is have them pair up in duos more often. I can't even recall any Gene/Tina stories.
Linda in her nightgown is still the sexiest thing in the world.
>>133137695>I hate this show more than The Great North. … How is that even possible? Great North is boring as hell
>>13313945710/10 crossover, The Bear was kino
>>133137806heh what a cute doll
>>133137183They can tho
>13 fucking seasons How did they do it
>Decided to browse Bob's Burgers fanfiction to see what weird premises fans are writing about>80% is "Louise gets cancer and dies"
>>133143873It seems to be very popular with women. Which makes sense because Bob's Burgers has the best written female characters in western animation right now.
>>133143979You might be onto something there. Bob's Burgers filled a unique niche at the time that catered to female audiences far more than other adult animated sitcoms. Times have changed since then, but Bob's was still a driving force in putting goofy female characters in leading roles that was nigh nonexistent outside of maybe Daria or something.
>>133144088That driver was a cunt
>>133143873I think Louise has "some"dirt on the producers.
>>133143873It felt unique
louise belcher is fatFAT
>>133144190I bet all those burgers go straight to her ass
>>133135088I still didn't really like the latest 1.5-2 seasons, movie was fine though, hopefully it bounces back now.>>133144088>Times have changed since thenHonestly, I'd say even now, it's one of the few shows with well written female leads.
>>133144337>hopefully it bounces back now Doubtful. They're just gonna get comfortable again. The movie was a fluke. A lengthy passion project designed to be at least somewhat conventionally appealing to people unfamiliar with the style of humor the regular series has been doing for the last couple years. I can't wait for the next three anthology episodes
>>133136925why are the kids so unfunny
>>133137680The first 2 Logan-Louise episodes are the most viewed (besides the pilot) give the people want we want dammit
>>133141532Linda is an inherently sexy character. Ironically, the more casual she is, the more attracted I am.
>>133144519Enjoy your banEdit away the panties.
>>133144695What, do mods not think the show is funny or something?
>>133144645>the more casual she is, the more attracted I am That's because these little quirks make her feel real. She feels like a real jokester of a woman who'd start laughing when you eat her out.
>>133144740>She feels like a real jokester of a woman who'd start laughing when you eat her out. With a man's voice no less.
>>133144773I've spent over 10 straight years with these characters. I don't even notice it anymore.
>>133144844I too also have been programmed to find winemom drag voice hot.
>>133144986>I found this weird and silly back when the episode first premiered >now I get aroused with every rewatch Linda's feet are my drug
>>133145064When are we getting a Kubrick episode? I just know the kids have seen all his greatest works and would have their own unique reimaginings to share.
>>133144505Because the show itself is rarely funny. All Central Park has going for it are the songs and bits of lively animation. It's rare for one of the show's jokes to get a chuckle out of me.
Teddy is the worst
>>133137695 >>133145430 Where the fuck is all this coming from? Teddy's a total bro
>>133145459Flanderization. He also eats away a lot of potential Mort time.
Still the best end credits song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6MRbS2Y1iWM
>>133135720>Better than calarts cartoons full of lesbians that this board jerk to... But it IS that.
>>133135720Just wait. Bob's Burgers panders hard in the later seasons
>>133146531Tina is a clopper?
>>133146965Oh you ain't seen nothin yet
>>133144645I could watch her do mundane activities all day
>>133144190>>133144274I spend way too much of my time thinking about Louise Belcher's body.
>>133148677>coltish legs >a fleshy tush that jiggles>round belly>DFC>swanish neck
>>133148756Louise's legs are severely underrated.
Why did Josh only appear in 3 episodes?
>>133148828Because Tina has to crush over Jimmy Jr.
>>133148828>>133148866Josh had to go because there's nothing comedic about him and Tinda dating. Josh isn't some awkward weirdo that doesn't mind Tina being an awkward weirdo and worse of all is that Tina doesn't act too much of an awkward weirdo around Josh.
