>>126355980Because your judgment skills are terrible
>>126356008Man that page looks static as hell, the coreography is hard to read and the hits have no impact to them. It's bad.
>>126355328The only thing i didn't like about that issue was Frank even entertaining the idea that Cap was morally corrupt, much less actually corrupt, it felt too cheap of a way for having him shoot himPersonally i'd find it more believable that Frank was the one being framed for being corrupt and Cap tried to apprehend him, getting a shot by a sniper and Frank being framed by his "death"

>>126358435I see.I wasn't bothered by what he said, but I did find the one word in each bubble bit annoying

>>126365686oh this is from the beautiful darkness author

>>126374452>second to last pageDespite it being something he does all the time, Spider-Man just casually crawling up the wall like a horror movie monster as Chameleon desperately tries to escape works really well.
>>126376014This unironically might be the pinnacle of the medium.

help me bros. i remember reading a batman comic when i was a kid. i remember it featured azrael in his knightfall armour and bruce in a wheelchair. it had two tattood punks planning to rob a bank, one was fat and the other had a big bullseye on his forehead. as soon as azrael confronts them a big demon guy with horns on his chin assaults them with a missile launcher. help me pls i cannot find it
>>126357691I loved this issue but this logic is retarded. Plenty of abiotic processes produce carbon dioxide (wild fires, for example), and plants also respire and produce CO2. Hell, even in an atmosphere of pure oxygen they'll do what's called photorespiration, rapidly returning it to a useful balance of CO2
>>126378658It is a bit retarded but Woodrue believed it so that's what counts. And anyway what made me post the page was how the page is composed rather than what is being said.

>>126357272damn what a stupid typo, how did that get through?
>>126379146It's the page that changed everything.
Anyone got comix pages?
>>126377814No, he ALSO got into crimefighting to make money. He tried to join the F4 to help pay the rent thinking that they made a ton of cash heroing since they had all their tech shit paid for, wasn't let in, and then swung off essentially crying>I'll show you! I'll show you all!!!>...that being a hero can be profitable! His literal motive for being a hero is to prove crimefighting pays.
>>126380669Also it will never not be funny that Spider-Man's origin is just a series of villain origins.>Lab accident turns him into something not quite human>Tries to sell his talents and technologies to various interests and fails to be recognized for his usefulness>Tries to join a superhero team and gets turned away and treated like an idiot for the attempt>Hounded by a society that hates and fears himIt's just supervillain origins down the line. I think that's what makes Peter Marvel's best hero.
>>126380595I like this and a couple other pages, but I didn't like the whole book.
>>126376907Yup, the Kerascoet, it's Miss Pas Touche.
>>126381043Yeah it's kinda rough, i personally can't stand all the sex scenes with the absurdly thick 70s women, but i really love the overall look.
>>126381166A-absurdly thick 70s women you say?
>>126357102Remember being in a thread for the story time of this. The only great part about Dark Knights Death Metal, reading this was visceral and emotional
>>126357102Why's Krypto there?
>>126380669>>126380754I can't find it on Priest's site anymore, but he had an intro to his Spider-man article where he says when he was starting on editing Spider-man, he asks what his motivation was, and the older editor said somethign like "Spider-man's goal is to make money so he can take care of his aunt and move them out of Queens and into a better neighborhood" or something like that. And that was in the 80's, one of the best loved eras of Spider-man. I always liked how low key and pragmatic that was, almost like its a job than some big grandiose arc.
>>126379723Who's bottom left, is that an actor?
>>126381478ah fuck dude
>>126364062Maybe, and just maybe, impacts weren't the focus of the page. Maybe those big ass rotating panels were the focus and the combat was made to seem pointless and a perfectly executed mindless routine. Not every fight has to be the focus, not every focus in fighting has to be impact, speed or gestureThat anon was calling you a pleb for caring more about your expectations of what you where going to see than what you actually saw
>>126355853God I love Born Again, it's kino pages gallore, but this page is so great, because, well, to give context many people were left disappointed that Matt never challenges Fisk again, he never beats him with his fists, he wouldn't, he lost once already. But Born Again is really triumph of spirit, because when you look at where Kingpin is standing he's on top of the world, he pulled every string he has for the sole purpose of killing Matt, he used his immense influence as kingpin, his crime genius, probably even favors with legitimate establishments. He wasn't pulling anything. Just think about it, he doubled down on killing Matt and still failed to kill him. What the fuck can Kingpin possibly do, what chip does it have to tip the scale in his favor against just one guy, just one dude he nearly killed with his bare hands? The Nuke's name is obviously figurative, but I prefer to look at it as Fisk getting so fucking desperate his last option to try to kill Matt would be only to literally drop a Nuke on him. And even that didn't work.
This was a great read.

Reading this thread really makes me aware of just how bad at panelling and uncreative in their depiction of reality most American comics are. With a few notable exceptions, if something comes out of the Big Two I know exactly what to expect as my eyes move down the page. It's all the same framing, all the same construction. Where's the expression? The only time I don't really know what's coming next is when the panelling is so bad it becomes incomprehensible.

Honestly Lois and Clark kinda disgust me on this issue since they're basically risking the careers of everyone they work with unnecessarily.
