The forgettable fatty human segment is dragging this movie down from perfection.
>>125759510It’s sort of a weakness of later Pixar movies that their desire to be simple and accessible to kids takes the form of gutting more complex ideas. A mostly silent film about two robots on an abandoned earth could’ve been interesting, and even the humans on the ship may have been compelling if they had been more than just chubby clowns. Somewhere along the way they started to lose the lesson of “show don’t tell” I feel.
>>125759510A bit fucking late to do anything about it now.Retard.
>>125759510>WE'VE COMING DOWN TO THE GROUND
>>125759549>It’s sort of a weakness of all animated moviesFTFYDisney, Pixar, Illumination, it don't matter it's all dumbed down to the lowest common denominator and then some. For an example, take Biggering from the Lorax's original concept, it's a great song demonstrating greed, the kind people still talk about despite not having even been in the movie, but they cut it because it was 'too dark' and replaced it with a meme song.
Why couldn't a society as advanced as theirs just settle on another planet once earth became unmanageable?
>>125759510We get it Dan, you didn't like the second half of the movie. fuck off now
