Why did they retroactively make Genosha the majority of mutant population? It makes it hilarious when nobody treats it as THAT big of a deal in Morrison's run.
Retroactive nothing. Genosha has always had a high mutant population from when Claremont introduced it
>>123701123Did he mean Genosha to be literally over 90% of the mutant population?
>>123701242Well it was a fully functional not!South Africa with the entire economy built on kidnapping foreign mutants exploiting their labor back when mutants were actually rare
>>123701021Genosha was supposed to be most of the mutants on Earth.
>>123701494I think Morrison thought they were way more than 16 million mutant worldwide.
>>123701021This is probably my favourite X-men uniform.
>>123701021Apparently Morrison thought that there were alot of mutants so killing off Genosha would pretty much be nothing
>>123701021It wasn't retroactively made that, it became that. During the height of the Legacy Virus, Magento was given the island by the U.N. due to the mutant and mutate populations being ravaged by the virus. After the cure was released, Magneto rallied mutants to attempt to take the rest of the planet, the X-Men "killed" him. This was the immediate story before Morrison took over and wrote New X-Men.
>>123701021And then the X-Men had the audacity to be mad at the Avengers and Nick Fury for not helping even though only two of them even bothered setting foot on Genosha after the attack.
>>123702222Yeah, but that story never said that Genosha had fucking 16 million mutants, Morrison made that number up because he never read any X-Men stories after Claremont.
