RWBY was getting consistently better from Volume 1 > 2 > 3. Volume 4 dipped back down (personally I think it’s right about the same level as 2, overall weaker but the end is much stronger unlike Br**ch), Volume 5 was sub Volume 1 even though it had a decent beginning and some decent moments. Since Volume 6 it’s also been in a constant increase, but started from a higher point (I’d say Volume 6 is better than 2 and the beginning of 3) whilst ending at a lower point (I actually liked Volume 8 but it had a serious fight problem and you could just tell COVID fucked it over)
