There were also a couple of comments saying they've been getting the ad nonstop, but no one has said which app has the ad. The only relation I could see is that the uploader and comments are Turkish.From that, I'm assuming this ad was bizarrely geotargeted for Turks who like anime. The PUBG and Evangelion crossover has been over for a while too, so I'm not understanding how an ad for it would just now be surfacing.

No one really knows how the loops work because the creator never bothered to explain things. Some think the loops are just different universes with characters that look the same as the ones from the OG universe but aren't the same with the exception of Kaworu, others think each loop happens after the previous one ends in a "Bad End", and others think it's the same universe but that it always resets itself for some reason. So, it's hard to say what happens to the characters after each loop, maybe their souls get reincarnated and are born as new versions of themselves in a new loop once the old loop resets, or maybe they just die forever (except kaworu because his soul can't really die unless the universe collapses upon itself and ends) and the story continues in another universe with characters that look like the OGs but aren't really them. Anon, no one knows.

EoE for example was a bad end, where people could comeback from the ritual if they wanted and Shinji and Asuka got out (there's people who didn't want the ritual either so you can think they came back as well), but Shinji at least is miserable so he either killed himself later or just moved on and lived in who knows. Also it's wrong to say NGE/EoE Shinji wanted to save everyone because the characters didn't even know what was happenning. Rebuild Shinji knows what is happening, and saves everyone from being used for the ritual over and over
