Yes
Bunch of creepy Frenchmen fawning over an underage cat boy. Disgusting. An older, more masculine Chat Noir would look godlike anyway...
>>3497639I bet you're of the same breed of cunt that throws money at sakimichan for her awful "aged up" art.
>>3497639>older, more masculine Chat NoirWe already have Nightwing, anon
>>3497639Hey I'm not French!
>>3497639So find some aged up pictures and post them yourself.

Is this show any good? I don't anything about it and I don't honestly enjoy cartoons that much, but this cat boy got me acting up.
>>3527235I only watch it for the catboy/Adrien (and sometimes other characters, but mostly not)
>>3527235so if you want cat, yes.

No.
>>3523815No. Well, not exactly.Generally, it's hard to tell the difference between the French and the Burghers and the Anglos just from the face.
>>3497551Do you really need to ask, anon?Better question: is there any Western toon character who also deserves their own thread?

>>3497639>>3527208>>3528553Adrien is 15. But at least for me, there is nothing sexual in my admiration (I am a huge fan of the show). Adrien is a personification of self-discovery and freedom. In one episode (pic attached), Adrien is forced to dress up as Cat Noir. Plagg says something extremely important - "the costume is what you really wanted deep down, isn't it?".A recurring theme in the show is that various supporting characters are given a miraculous in certain circumstances. At certain points, different people activate the same miraculous - and while there's always some similarities, the costumes are always noticeably different. The magic of a miraculous is that it frees you from shame, doubt, and inhibition - and allows you to become your true self. I desperately long for that opportunity, but also deeply admire the person Adrien becomes as Cat Noir. The fact that he is physically ideal only helps to reinforce this admiration. So no, I am not fantasizing about having sex with Adrien. I am fantasizing about waking up as Adrien, or at least having my own miraculous.
>>3530711Damn, you didn't have to hit so close to home with your discourse
>>3530711>feeling a constant emptiness and overwhelming anguish whenever confronted with your own identity, so you have to dress up in fetish wear to soften that crushing burden sitting on your shoulders whenever you leave your fantasy worldYou are mentally ill.
Pic is just a stock image from the show, but it does a good job of showcasing the personality change between Adrien and Cat Noir. >>3530739I came across miraculous at a dark time in my life. It helped give me a sense of optimism when there wasn't much going my way. >>3530915I'm mentally ill in the sense that I'm shy, lack self confidence, am lonely, and depressed. I don't dress up myself (or have any strong desire to do so). I just admire someone who has the confidence to express themselves in public without self-doubt or shame. I can do that behind a keyboard for the most part - but real life is a different story. Humans have used fiction to gain perspective on problems at least as long as we've had literature. Some of the oldest written works we have are fiction about superheros. It's an old theme. As for "fetish wear", you're seeing something that's not there as a result of our hypersexualized culture. Modern superheroes have worn tights / body suits since the first comic books with superman, batman, spider-man, etc. You can show off and admire the human form without it being a fetish or even a sexual thing - doubly so when it's something innocent, cute, or similar.
>>3530999Huh, well for me the issue isn't being sociable or confident. I envy Adrien because he is physically perfect (which is impossible in real life) and because he has all that power at his disposal. The fact that he's a model who attracts attention wherever he goes is also something that I find very appealing
>>3531050My life is shocking similar to Adrien's. I won't say that I was as attractive as him, but I had no problem getting dates. Took a cheerleader to senior prom. But my life was not my own. My parents, and later my dad (after my mom died...) planned out all of my activities for me. I was on the swim team, I got my Eagle Scout, 2nd degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do, took Spanish at school and private tutoring in Chinese. So I was popular and successful. But it wasn't ME. I never had an opportunity to find myself and grow comfortable being that person. I am a successful professional at a large company. But I think most of my coworkers would look at me like I've got 3 heads if they found out I watch cartoons. I've only heard cartoons mentioned once or twice in my decade there - and always in the context of something their kids were watching / doing. As just one example. That's why the Adrien / Cat Noir thing resonated with me so much. When he's Cat Noir, he looks how he wants, acts how he wants, and doesn't second-guess himself for it. I've never had that freedom. At this point in my life, I don't even know how to do it.
great thread, I approve!
he has one of the cutest character designs ever created
>>3530999Nice digits>>3531172I agree. In some of the episodes when he's running from rooftop to rooftop he goes on all fours like a cat. It's just too much.
>>3530711Yep. I love the little bugger for these reasons. When he's free to like girls and be himself it's awesome.
Apparently it's normal for friends to hold hands in France. Must be nice.
>>3531434Isn't that also the same in the Arab world?
You know, liking a character isn't in principle creepy, nor does finding them sexually stimulating to look at, but thinking of them as real and go as hard as this guy on the parasocial justification bullshit?>>3530999>>3530711>>3531161Now that's fucking scary and creepy.Just post pictures and shut up.
>>3531546Having feelings about fictional characters doesn't mean that you think they're real. Their creators spent a lot of time writing them to portray certain thoughts and feelings.
>>3531546There's no need to sour the thread with vitriol, regardless of what he said. It doesn't help anyone, not even you. Unless you enjoy depreciating others, of course. There's no shame in admitting it if that's the case
>>3531434And Indian too.
>>3531746They made them for money and to sell toys, don't be fucking naive. No wonder you're fucked up if you go around believing those guys care about you just because they said so on social media.
>>3531825... Are... Are you joking? Nobody thinks a cartoon character is real... Humans use fiction to create idealized versions of a person, both for entertainment and to inform. We use "suspension of disbelief" (first coined by Aristotle) to allow ourselves to care about a story and characters we know are imaginary. We've been doing this since the Epic of Gilgamesh over 4000 years ago, and probably for much longer with oral stories. It doesn't matter whether it's Gilgamesh (who was 2/3 God and 1/3 human), Hercules (who was half God, half human), Superman (who was an alien), Harry Potter (a wizard), or Adrien (a normal human who was given a magic ring aka miraculous). They are idealized creations meant to appeal to us by embodying certain traits. We start to like them, get emotionally invested in what happens to them. We wish we had the strength of Hercules, or could go on adventures like Harry Potter, or run around in a catsuit while making cheesy puns like Cat Noir. And this is an image board - bumping the thread with talking is nice, but I always try and post pix too .
>>3531846You talk a lot but say so little, amazing.Who are you trying to impress, really? Also. I don't bump.
>>3530711>So no, I am not fantasizing about having sex with Adrienwell i am lmao
>>3531544as an arab, can confirm. it's normal to us for same-sex friends to hold hands or sit on each others laps. pretty sure that's also the same in russia too
>>3531846it was samuel taylor coleridge who coined the term "suspension of disbelief"... not aristotle... aristotle only explored the concept in its relation to the principles of theater, wherein the audience ignores the unreality of fiction in order to experience catharsis, but he never actually uses the phrase "suspension of disbelief"...

>>3532184>it's normal to us for same-sex friends to hold hands or sit on each others laps>pretty sure that's also the same in russia tooI don't know who told you this shit, but please don't ever try this in Russia unless you want to be beaten up. It's normal to hug, but holding hands with a male friend is something that is accepted for, like, kids under 10 or so. There is even a video where two (straight) guys walk down one of the streets of Moscow holding hands as a social experiment. Needless to say, they are met with a lot of aggression, insults, and even some physical assault.
