I have lost all pleasure I used to have in cooking food. All the effort to prepare the ingredients, using 2-3 different pans, bowls, tools and the washing up that entails, the price and effort to source interesting ingredients these days just isn't worth it. I just cook a simple sloppa of ground beef and pasta or rice or very occasionally something like a simple curry. That's about all I can be bothered with these days. How do I reignite that interest in cooking slightly more interesting meals? I definitely think my days of trying to cook ambitious multi-course meals using advanced techniques and high quality ingredients are gone.

Introduce an excess of sugar, fat and salt into your diet until your body starts craving it every two hours
