my favorite is with homemade sourdough and homegrown tomatoes. Mayo and pepper is good important. In my climate that is 5 months away.

Back in November 2021 I made a loaf of zucchini-and-cheddar soda bread, cut some slices and built a BLT with a little yellow mustard, and it was superb. The acidity of the tomato perfectly countered the alkalinity of the baking soda.With sourdough- or yeast-leavened bread, I usually prefer to swap out the tomato with cheese.
