>"and now we deep fry"
dropped

is there any solution for easily deep frying at home? it's such a pain in the ass and it's so wasteful
>>
Pan fry
Coat in Oil and bake in the oven also works okay.
>>
You could get a Fry Daddy, I store oil in mine for weeks at a time and use it infrequently. It holds the oil at 350F so you don't need to worry about getting too hot or too cold on the stove top. It's small so you need to do batches. You still have to filter the oil from time to time and dispose of it though, which is the real pain in the ass part for me.

I dont fry at home very often for those same reasons, but if I absolutely have to I just half ass it with a thin layer of whatever oil I have on hand and flip frequently and cook a little longer.
It's not ideal but it works

Buy a fucking ad Adam
>>
>>18621217
>buy fry basket
>fill big pot with oil
>turn your stove to max heat
>deep fry
>strain and store the oil for future use
Simple as

scoop out the solids and pan fry it
put the thing you gotta deep fry in the pot
no waste

I don't people watch.
I think it's rude.
Last thing I wanna do is make somebody feel worse on a bad day. Like, you do what you have to bud. Other than some fat hispanic who won't stop talking but that is what is and you move on.

>Fry Daddy
Wait this looks great. Do you get much splatter?
>>
>>18621217
you just need a large vessel and a thermometer. can skip the thermometer if you have an outside space and can just boil the oil, which gets less soggy results. I've made gobi manchurian that way.

i currently don't eat any oil because i prefer my skin not hurting

>>18621403
my dad had one of those. it ran a bit colder than i preferred, for safety/splatter reasons, making the food a bit soggier.

i stopped using it after my brother put duck fat in it

Uh dude whenever I post tha0t frog on Facebook - the site I use except for when I'm looking for people to reply to me telling me to go back - they always call it the 4chan frog and tell me to go back to 4chan

Shallow-fry.
Fill a small saucepan with 2cm/1ish inch of oil.
Set on the flame.
When hot, add thing meant to be deep-fried.
Flip/rotate if/as needed.
Remove and drain on kitchen paper.
I do it often. Fish fingers, chips/fries, tendies, floured squid, vegetable fritters, samosas/singaras, lumpia etc. It's not wasteful or messy at all.

use a stock pot and a spider to deep fry.

The only people who have anything against frogs are Redditors.

Huntsman or tarantula?
>>
>>18621558
This
In fact, this is the best form of homecooked fried chicken. When it's darker in the middle, you know its like mama used to make
>>
>>18621722
Tarantula, bigger is certainly better
>>
>>18621736
Huntsman is bigger. The biggest 'ranchla, the goliath birdeater, has a greater mass but the giant huntsman has a much greater legspan.

Embrace the challenge anon, I did about a year ago and now I fry all the time.

I use my cast iron skillet and veg oil to shallow fry, trying to get a Dutch oven to deep fry, among other things.
>>
>>18621322
>thinking they can talk shit about "messes" when they're frying in a shallow cast iron and covering their kitchen in a fine mist of oil
>>18621379
take your meds
>>18621403
It's deep frying. There's no way to inherently avoid splatter, but if you use a splatter shield on a deep vessel you've contained 90% of the problem.
>>18621561
And have to empty it out every time to store the oil? Fuck that.
I store it in the fryer and throw the whole container in the bottom of the freezer.
>>18621413
It's because they use shitty thermostats. You just have to calibrate it - get a thermometer that goes up to 450-500 or so and see what the temperature actually is when you set it to 400. If it runs a little cold just set it to where it needs to be.
>>
>>18621895
if you throw the whole container in the bottom of the freezer doesn't the char build up so much to give the oil a bad taste? also you could just use butter for deep frying and use the excess oil as gravey or sauces. I deep fry a chicken in 1kg of butter. if you flour the crust it gives it an amazing crust.
>>
>>18621367
>render fat
no one wants their house smelling like a tannery
>>
>>18621895
>throw the whole container in the freezer
don't do this it creates an oil bomb
>>
>>18621367
why wouldn't you make laridum? fry up the fat slice with vinegar and sprinkle salt.

I tried it once and now the wall behind my stove is covered in small oil stains
>le slash guard
I had one on. Didn't help.
I'll leave frying to commercial kitchen and niggers.
