ITT: Post your favourite beer
>>18195358its spaten for me
>For me it's an independent thrice-hopped smoked marshmallow and sour mango IPA from The Independent Crazy Raving Tiger Brewing Company independent brewery
Like a perfect alcoholic kvas, if i could only pick one beer to drink for the rest of my life it would be this.
>>18195358For me it's the beer born in the land of sky blue waters
>>18195358nothing beats Goldochsen
It's the simple pleasures.
>>18195358Vb longneck at quarter to 9
>>18195909Who are you talking to? So far most people have been recommending German or Belgian beers.
>yet another thread where americans act like average german swill is the end all when it comes to brewery because their own beer is hobo piss
>>18196320does your favorite have to be the end all be all?why can't it just be your weekend go-to?
on the pricier side, but well worth it.
If you want a good German macrobrew try this
Always makes me think of that time I travelled to Spain on a whim and ended staying there for almost a month.
>>18195358Erdinger Dunkel is quite nice.
>>18196263How is it? I've never had cream ale before.
>>18195358It's out of rotation now, but damn i cannot wait for it to come back around.
I love this bready motherfucker like you wouldn't believe.
>Honey the poors are trying to talk about craft beer againD15 is the best stout that has ever been made, no contest.
>>18195992This my family's beer of choice. Cheap and plentiful. My dad likes it cause it's sprightly and doesn't conk you out like the rice swill from Anhauser-Busch Incorporated
>>18196263If you like that you should try this one. Not sure how difficult it is to find out in the wild but I always keep this stocked in the beer store I manage.
It's the champagne of beers r
I don’t give a fuck that it’s an adjunct lager. If I were only allowed to drink 1 beer for the rest of my life, it would be Orion. I don’t know of a more refreshing beer when it’s hot/humid as fuck. Even in Japan, you’ll never find it on tap unless you go to a restaurant/izakaya that specializes in Okinawan food, or live in Okinawa (fuck that shit). Pic is draft Orion I had in Osaka at an “Okinawan” izakaya. And yes, the dish is tempura spam. Because Okinawa, which is because America.
>>18195396>>18197103Patrician taste, these the only two that aren’t just “yeah it’s pretty good I guess” tier so far
>>18195909>doooood though. Have you tried those new fruited smoothie dessert sours though they got now? I had this one I bought from a guy on Instagram who went and stood in line outside the brewery for the drop the other day it was a strawberry chocolate cheesecake papaya milkshake dragon fruit blueberry crumble key lime pie sour with lactose, vanilla bean, turmeric and cacao nibs that shit was fire dude it was only $60 for a 4pk
>>18195358Erdinger is one of the worst Weizen beers. Absolute pleb choice.
the king of beers
All the Alchies in the thread. This is a real number one:>no dehydration>no crazed state>no hangover>nobody hurts>nobody cries>tastes better>quenches thirst better
>>18197103Love this stuff.
>>18197409Why is this so good?
>>18197177Dubs of truth
I could really use one right now
>>18196224GarbageMiller is better
for me it's the local lager that's 10x better than molson/bud and is the same price.
hahaha i am such a beer hipster with good taste posing my trapist beers made by TRAD monks hahaha
>>18196224This. But in a can and close to PA.
>>18195358Good taste, anon. Erdinger is fucking awesome.I used to hate Hefeweizens until I tried that.
>>18198101oh and I also like Schneider WeisseBut I'm not a fan of Hefes when they have too strong of a clove or creme fraiche flavor
>>18195992Based and Hamm'spilled
>>18195358aware its not the best, but this is my go-to at the grocery store
>>18195992Based, I wish they sold this where IiveComes out to 15 dollars for a 30 pack after tax, that's a great price for 2022 standards
You're not a real man if you don't like Budweiser
For me it's a Texas Belgian Tripel
>>18197890Based Tap No. 7
>>18198159piss water, i'd rather drink Pabst
>>18196765Nice. RBBT b1 is also up there for me personally. Arabesque has been the best beer I've had recently.
>>18198187Pabst is kinda gross, it has a weird wine flavor
This shit rocked my fuckin world
>>18197890I had one yesterday. Excellent doppelbock.
>>18198202The white wine notes are what makes it good
>>18199639It also just tastes less clean in general I don't mind having one or two of them but there are times where I buy a lot of them (it's often the cheapest beer a bar has) and it's rough getting through themI much prefer Budweiser and Coors Banquet
>>18197876it's honestly one of the better domestic macrosslight citrus taste, little bit of the corn adjunct, just enough hops to balance it.
>>18198159The goyim beer.
>>18200391t. Hazy IPA drinking fag
>>18197154never heard of it. how does it compare to asahi/kirin/sapporo
>>18200394Enjoy over paying instead of enjoying the champagne of beers like a real American
>>18195358Your beer is in a weird looking bottle with a fancy tie on and I cant fucking stand to look at it
>>18196320Are you actually getting jealous Americans prefer German beer rather than your own?
>>18196765You must be insufferable
>>18197356So you're telling me you get dehydrated, crazy, hungover, and you start hurting people and crying after a few beers?
>>18199506It fucking looks good mate
>>18200494Miller High Life is barely cheaper than Budweiser
>>18200602But it is cheaper...and better...
>>18198159>king of beersdo americans really?
>>18195358For me? Its Stella Artois.
>>18200453I find it a bit lighter/cleaner tasting and more refreshing. But it’s really not worth it outside Japan because of how expensive it is, if you can even find it. When I see it in the US it’s like $18 for a six pack. Even in Japan it’s more expensive than the other 3 on the store shelf because it has to be “imported” from Okinawa. It would be like a Hawaiian beer in mainland US.
Yuengling amber lager
>>18195358anything belgian or english
>>18201188fun fact: it's called Yuengling because americans are too fucking stupid to write Jüngling correctly
Had this recently.Pretty delicious and the smell was exactly like a chocolate cake.
>>18196096Looks like marketing stunt more than a good beer, did you try it ?
My favourite, personally, is the Naughty Vicar triple IPA from Twisted Farmstead Brewing which is a local craft brewpub in the old post office on main street
>>18201330OH FUCK, someone cares about their local economy and local business? SHUT IT DOWN!!! What as LAME PERSON, probably a bigot too, everyone knows mega international corps know what to make and small towns SUCK!!!! Local cultures? Phhhff!!! I'll stuck with Megalo-Beer, THANK you!
>>18201654dickriding your local failson's hobby brewpub where you can choose from a range of mediocre IPAs with heckin cute monikers is not the same thing as supporting your town's industry. I support my town's industry by redpilling people into becoming communists on the internet
>>18199040this shit isn't bad but I hated how prevalent it was when I visited london. it's not that great, I'd rather drink sam smiths.
unfortunately I have to pay import prices for this stuff
>>18201674supporting lame white people overpriced shit is still supporting the local economy and is always better than going to walmart or buying bud.
>>18195358Give me a stout so thick and dark you can't see the glass.
>>18201703for me it's barleywine
>>18201703I need to find this
>>18201707The wheat wine from Driftwood is amazing
Tried one at work today,, super enjoyable sour
>>18201722hey victoria fag. i'll try it, don't think i've seen it in any liquor store around downtown, maybe I'll have to try vessel or liqour plus hillside
>>18201702some parts of the "local economy" are masturbatory and worthless. your local brewpub is a stain on your town
>>18201755nah my local breweries are integral parts of the economy and our beer is served in almost every pub and restaurant in the region.
>>18201757to be fair I'm only this hateful because I live in Ontario and our breweries are dogshit. if you're American there's a real chance your local brewery actually makes good beer and isn't totally cringe
>>18201784vancouver island, we have way better breweries than we should. also I've seen like maybe one or two ontario beers so maybe that is true, quebec is way better.
>>18201755Big Business can ALWAYS out perform small businesses. It's just economics, Goyim
>>18201276>retarded letters with dots Fuck that dumbass shit.
>>18201792>quebec is way betteryepI think Ontario's problem is that there is some terrible blight on our souls that makes us evil and incapable of creating good"There is never a case when the root is in disorder and yet the branches are in order."
>>18201702>anti-corporate zoomer-screeching Nah, I’m not going to buy shit products just because it’s made by some retard “local” to my address.
>>18201834Enjoy when Chang and Pajeet are stealing your "secure" job and your children's future
>>18201276fun fact: it's called Yuengling because he changed his name to fit into the English culture into which he was assimilating. he did this because back then it was considered desirable to get along with other Americans and to be seen as truly one of their own. Also they didn't get a perverse satisfaction from browbeating people about getting their name wrong
Love all kinds, but this one takes the cake for me
>>18201808economies of scale are real. doesn't mean they always make the best beer, but the brewpub down the street is not going to produce a beer that competes with Coors Lightthere's nothing wrong with small breweries though, some of them make great beer, and those breweries have earned their success. I just object to the much more numerous mediocrities that would have died a natural economic death if not for the legions of "Buy Local" fanatics who almost don't care that the beer they're drinking costs twice as much as a Miller High Life and tastes half as good. Keeping a terminally shit brewery on life support because it's "local" is embarrassing for everyone involved
>>18201903I hope you mean "doesn't compete with coors lite" in terms of price/production, because even the most mediocre shitty IPA/lager from a C tier local brewery is 10x better than coors liight
>>18201911>I hope you mean "doesn't compete with coors lite" in terms of price/productionDuh. Fucking retard.>because even the most mediocre shitty IPA/lager from a C tier local brewery is 10x better than coors liightIt's not.
>>18201934it is, coors and bud are water with a small flavor of malt liqour with no alcohol to back up their flavor, I'd rather chug club soda, if I want refreshment ill get sapporo/asahi or a local lager.
>>18201944t. never worked a day in his life at a physically demanding job
>>18201954>I NEED low quality beer to work my jobactual retard brain take, disregarded, I've done kitchen work and painting, never had a bud, water was good, and i had good beer at home.
>>18201957lol that wasnt the implication, mouthbreather
>no Duveltastelet thread
>>18198146my grandpa loves this stuff and i love him
>>18202051Been eyeing it anon,, I'll grab some this weekend and try it.
>>18198159Budweiser or Hamm's are the only ones that taste like they have any hops whatsoever in them.
For me it's PBR. Widely available and cheap.
Only the best for me
The best beer of all time
>>18203466i like the white one more
>>18203466>>18203750Based 1664 chads, the blanc version is the best imo. Apparently in france it's bum juice, dunno i love the stuff
at least it was until they reduced it from 5% to 4%fucks sake
>>18201944You must be talking about the light versionsCoors Banquet has a lot of flavor
>>18202646I'm surprised by how noticible the hops in Hamm's are
>>18202051not bad but overrated
>>18204068What when? it's was 5% in America
>>18198203I tried this once and it tasted like actual vinegar.
in no orderMacro:corona extramgdcoors stubbychangMicro: lagers and pilsnersno dark beers or ipas, i think i dislike 'ale' in general, and am not fond of coffee or chocolate notes in my beer. it absolutely has to be well carbonated, none of that pour it and its flat eurotrash swill.
>>18195909You need to keep up with the scene. Stouts are what the soys gravitate towards now. Nothing like a nice warm pecan salted caramel blueberry muffin mocha stout after dinner.
>>18197356Either patrician ex alcoholic finding a tasty 0%er. Or a virgin who found a tasty non alch and convinced their frat or whatever it's booze.
>>18197356you need to be at least 18 to use this website
>>18195358this is something between a strong belgian ale, a cider and white wine. Very complex and crazy but still balanced, never had anything like this.>>18196461this one is very nice>>18196471it's only in your head, because that shit is just your average macro lager not any better than bud or hineckent. catalanfag>>18197115based, I love their coffee stout too
>>18202018>muh niggabest Canadian macro by far, I tend to grab Alpine, too.as far as micro stuff? I tend to like the more chill stouts that aren't super hyped up chocolate dessert styles and pilsners.
>>18205518I can tell this is happening because the number of gay and retarded stouts at the LCBO has been on the risehad a "peanut butter and raspberry shake stout" a few months ago, I had to try it because it sounded so awful. it was the most revolting beer I have ever had in my life, I poured it out rather than finish it which is something I have never done with a beer before. the overwhelming thick peanut aroma makes you want to retch before you've even taken a sip
>>18198146>aware its not the best, butfucking hate how internet snobbery makes us talk like this. as if I can just get any better beer in the world in my midsize town. downtown faggots going to the coolest bars with the best imported beers lording it over anyone who has the bad taste to say that the best beer at their local retailer is good
>>18205870I know, it's always just opinions, but you're right anon. Newcastle fucking slaps, I don't care what anybody thinks!
>>18206012hahah sike, you just outed yourself as a tastelet
>>18205502That last point is why I much prefer Guinness Extra Stout over Draught
>>18206061too late bitch, i don't give a fuck what you or anyone thinks anymore!!!
>>18205040it was always available in my country at 5% then it just vanished pretty much overnight for a few yrs and recently returned to the shelves but suddenly at 4%dunno why they did it as they never had an image issue that required rebranding like some brands that had developed negative associations and reputations
>>18195358After years of trying almost every type of beer and craft brewery imaginable one day I bought a six pack of Rolling Rock and realized, this was the beer for me.
This stuff is fucking delicious
The number one
i had one incredible memorable bottle of this. i tried to buy more, i did, but they weren't nearly as good, i don't know if i just got lucky or if we live in a society.but my go-to is Carlsberg. same price as Heineken but way better
>>18197876based moosehead. also, I live next door to the local brewery (not the OG one)>>18197103i only buy fin du monde when i'm out of vodka, and I need something stronk at the dep.>>18197342no this is king of beers>>18207258Czechvar is the best beer available in Canada, by far. Fuck your bearded micro-daddy.
>>18197890Extremely based beer.
>>18207328based on what
>>18201703That's probably a good beer, but why does it have to have such a terrible label on it? It looks like a god damn mountain dew can. It's so repulsive from grown man's perspective that I honestly would find it difficult to buy one even if someone I trust recommended it.
>>18207336Medium-high alcohol content, strong body, somewhat complex taste (I would call it versatile) of dried fruit and banana, maybe christmas spices? Low and balanced bitterness, cloudy (I like cloudy) and affordable. I mean what's not to like about it? Even the bottle and the label is nice. I hate modern breweries that make their packaging to look like a fucking nintendo game. Makes me sick.So yeah, all that is based about it.
don't get a lot of stuff up where I am but when I travel a little further to the marginally better beer store they occasionally carry this and I think it's great
>>18195396I've got to agree with the Anon here. Chimay is life.
I'm sorry germanboos, not only Belgium produces the best beer overall, but also the best weissbier
Not sure if pleb taste or not, but It's very good for me
>>18202660Had this 2 days ago, good stuff
i love krieks
>>18196367they cost like 1€ in belgium. Amazing too
No picture available, but it’s a seasonal from Bossier City, Louisiana’s Flying Heart Brewery. It’s called Blackberry Bomb I suspect because of its proximity to Barksdale and the owner’s history in the air force.I had it for the first time in one of those copper mugs. Then I ordered it a week later and learned it was a beer.It was over 10% and tasted like gummy worms.
>>18207957Nice. They're around 16 burger bux over here for a 4 pack though :(
>>18205602>never had anything like this. There are a few, pic related is my favorite but it is very hard to find outside of belgium. You could also try saint bon chien from BFM, pretty neat
>>18195358Good ol Murphy's!
what is the best place in the usa for the man who hates alcohol, hates beer, hates wine, hates vodka, hates liquor, hates whiskey, and hates all alcoholic beverages in general
>>18208344Probably that retarded mormon state.
>>18197154Mah nigga, Orion is beyond based. Gotta have the big nubby bottle!
>>18199525based and perla pilled
>>18208344Utah is a nice state.
>>18208314Why cant I find this anywhere
>>18206339Do you by chance play the shitty games that suck ass?
>>18208714What kind of question is that
>>18207766The Classic is better
Fuck, I love IPA's.
>>18208704You're not missing much. it's a worse version of guinness. way more watery, yet somehow annoyingly bitter. It does have a stronger chocolate note than guinness though from what I remember.
>>18198162Texas? That is brewed in Pennsylvania my man.
I fucking love Coors Banquet
