Depends, do you also want the extra fatty flavor you normally get from toasting them on the griddle in either butter or beef fat? If not, just steam or microwave, but if you do then wrap it up 5 Guys style in foil for a minute or two before you eat it. It'll steam enough to soften up the toasted part of the bun.
