And taste like shit?
that's a blin
>>156353671) Ignore the Americans ITT;2) It looks fine;3) What recipe did you use?
>>15635367Looks fine to me, what's so shit about it?Pancakes are awful anyway, I'd make crêpes instead
>>15635367Looks ok to me OP. I'd go a bit darker on the color
Add lamb sus
You need some smetana and verenye for those pancakes
One cup of flour, two cups of milk, three large or four small eggs, three or four generous pinches of salt. I also like to add a heaped tbsp of sugar for better browning. One reason why your pancakes dont look so great may be your pan. cast iron or carbon steel give deliver much bettter results for frying at high heat because they give off much more infrared radiation than other stuff.
>>15635367>milk>flour>butter>sugar>salt>optional cinnamonPoint what you missed
Just needs more heat. Maybe make more smaller ones as well.
>>15635367You need more heat. Replacing some of the liquid with sparkling water at the last minute will give you more bubbles and better texture.
>>15635675Nah, that's a nordic lätty. They're meant to be big.
>>15635653Cinnamon is yucky.
Call them naans and sell them for 3 dollars apiece
>>15635738no, u
>>15635367looks like you forgot the baking powder
>>15636291this is a french crepe, not a thick americca pancake
Your batter either lacked flour, didn't have enough baking soda/powder in it, and/or you didn't let the batter rest for a bit before cooking.
Waffles > pancakes
>>15635571That must be really thin.I use:1 cup of flour1.5 tablespoons of sugar1 teaspoon baking powder0.5 teaspoon salt1 egg4/5 cup of milk0.25 teaspoons vanilla1 tablespoon melted buttermix wet and dry separately and then add wet to dry and mix, but not too much. it doesn't hurt it if it has a few small pockets of dry that didn't get mixed in.The pancakes generally come out quite good and thick.OP's "pancakes" don't look like they have any thickness at all. He probably uses way to much milk in his.
>>15635571>>15635653>>15636291>>15636512>>15637734This is exactly what I mean here >>15635393Americans associate pancakes with those thick round fluffy cakes they cook in pans and douse in corn syrup. The rest of the world associates pancakes with something akin to what the French call crêpes. Here's a recipe:>All-purpose flour - 1 1/2 cups>Milk - 1 cup>Eggs - 2>Oil - 4 table spoons>Salt - 1/2 tea spoon
>>15635393>>15637778No Americans had posted, you obsessed faggot. Stop seething while watching Denny's commercials, it's just restaurant fare. Being different from what you cook at home is the point, just calm down
>>15635367Too much grease in the pan. You want as little fat in the pan as possible
>>15637778If pancakes were made to be thin, they would be called something like panthins, not pancakes.Besides, what self respecting rancher would eat his calf fries for breakfast with wimply little pieces of dainty crepes?
>>15637788bullshit. use butter for every pancake, it's part of the flavour.
>>15635367this is a crepe, sir
>>15635367do yourself a favor and spend $20-$30 on a wafflemaker. waffles are literally retard proof
>>15637734 (me)I've thought about adding chopped pecans to my pancakes but for some reason I never think about it until I already have them cooked. What would be the best way to do it?1) Just chop them up and mix in with the batter?2) Chop them up and sprinkle on top of the pancake when first dded to the pan?Would it be better to toast the pecan pieces first?
>>15637831>If pancakes were made to be thin, they would be called something like panthins, not pancakes.
>>15637855You can mix melted butter with the eggs if you're that desperate for butter flavor.
Didn’t use pic related you nonce
>>15635367I wanna make pancakes for dinner now
>>15635367
>>15635367I'm gonna make some today because I won't get bread until tomorrow.
