Hips and chest should be roughly 1×1 to appear feminine?
Hips are about 110ish cm and chest is 105ish
Currently, with pads, both are about a meter and with my outfit it looks really real
For reference, i am 170cm tall, my chest is 75 cm and my hips are 90cm, my shoulders are almost exactly 1m
>>
>>10758155
The tita themselves are a 15cm styrofoam ball split in half, that means 7.5cm long and 30cm wide total
>>
>>10758157
damn I didn't think of styrofoam balls thats a perfect idea to save money thank you

This was overtightened but corsets are comfy.
>>
>>10758163
Just after you cut it put wood glue or something on the base so it doesn't flake off. No way you'll be able to make a perfect clean cut so pick out anything that sticks out too much beforehand, holes don't matter
>>
>>10758499
Ok update on the styrofoam cause it can warp.
Hadn't really used that big of a ball before so clothes that otherwise weren't so tight kept pulling them harder than usual.
I guess keep that in mind when going bigger. Idk if they actually shrunk or just got a bit deformed

Also what is a good craft store material that i can get to simualte skin? I think i'll br showing cleavage and i'd rather make that bit myself. Also gives me an excuse to look at pictures of boobs

You guys be the judge but there is obvious chafing and warping on the side where it was in contact with the other boob (left)
This might actually give me a better result cause it makes it less obvioudly circular and more "pressed together" but idk. I made them bigger cause they just didn't make my shoulders look that small so that might just bring back the issue
>>
>>10758499
Turns out you can buy half sphere styrofoam balls too and not need any cutting!

Longer sleeves, lolita wrist cuff type deals, opera gloves, or some sort of sleeve thing.
Cam whoring aside, something like these. Had a shirt I hacked the arms off, and found when worn backward, they made a great forearm/wrist concealer.
The gloves were separate. Just what I had on for that picture

>But dear God cover your shoulders and hands best you can
Hmmm. I have seen my share of male and female shoulders and hands, and I can say that both are quite diverse and you can't automatically (except in some rare cases) say that some hands or shoulders belong to one group and not the other. So I don't think that advice should be so generic. Maybe change it to something like "Cover your shoulders and hands if they are too big/muscular, unless you are going for a big\muscular girl impression"?
>>
>>10760466
Some range finding scopes use 19inches as a reference because from man to man it's a very consistent width.

Doing a jinx soon. I am very tall 6 foot, 135lbs so I feel like I have the scrawny down, but is there any way to make the shoulders appear less broad? The top having so much bare skin worries me a bit. Also need to look into how to do a good girl voice. I have put a ton of work and money into making the props / wig / outfit so hopefully it goes smoothly but it never really does lol. The gf has been practicing the makeup routine and while it's not perfect it is improving.
>>
>>10760579
>is there any way to make the shoulders appear less broad?
You are in luck, my friend. Diagonal lines towards the neck make shoulders appear narrower, and, guess what, they walk hand in hand winth Jinx's designs.

You can just pluck them all. It will take a lot of time, but will look smooth for a couple of days at least.

yeah ofc
I found mine on a website, cosplayshow the $74 version of the costume
it seems a little sketchy, but I found multiple reviews for both the website and the costume itself and both were very good
I ordered the largest female size, and other than the hip which I can pad, I think I actually would fit it quite well
I probably will also do some modifications, the gloves don't seem impossible to make if they don't fit my man hands

the boots were a much harder thing to find in my size, I wear a mens US 11.5-12, which is about a women's size 14
I couldn't find any women's boots in size 13 or larger, but I eventually found these from what appears to be a bit of a foot fetishist site which carried 14s
kinda worried about them not being wide enough, or my calves being too big, but some of the reviews are from men and it seems good
I live really close to where it was shipped from so those boots are arriving today and I'll be able to see how well they fit and ill post my findings here
>>
>>10761957
Got the boots just now
They fit really well
Both fortunately and unfortunately the black "boot" part is just kinda a nylon stocking
But overall I'm really happy with this being my only option
If you've got smaller feet I'd recommend looking for normal thighhigh boots, but if you can't this is still a great option

Is there a site where i can find boots that look like this in a bigger size?

Part 1: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B_z6ct7IcaI
Part 2: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ibYTgw6LUIU&t=0s

But I find usually use thinner (1") foam and taper the edges even more- at least 3" in from each edge and 6" up from the bottom.

Just find some foam, a mattress is fine.
Cut it down until you have a boars about 5cm wide, then cut out the rough shape and split it in half. Use a bread knife and scissorss. After that just taper it

>>
>>10763026
I think Korra would be a really good one to start out with
her outfit is kinda guides you towards her face so make sure its nice and clear looking
>>
>>10763040
My face is completely smooth and I don't have any acne. And I got my facial hair lasered so I don't have any stubble either. I think I'm ok in that department.

But I'm worried about having broader shoulders in that outfit since they're exposed? I don't know if sleeveless makes it less or more of a problem. I think maybe the wider pants will offset that though but I don't know much about how you dress down body parts.
>>
>>10763049
You can't really super dress them down since they're exposed, but you can probably play around with the subtleties of the armhole and the angle of the blue/white around that area to draw the eye "in", making the shoulder look smaller. I suggest you also try and create balance with more curves - boobs and a "female" waist shape and let the baggy pants help create the suggestion of hips/butt although you may want to pad anyway since they sit on the low waist/high hip, which is typically shaped much differently for women.

I'm doing Zero Suit Samus, used a bunch of foam padding to get the feminine shape correct, I have some heels ready too to craft up a bit, but I honestly have no idea what to do about the gun.

Should I just buy a nerf gun and paint it? Should I try to ask someone to 3D print it or something?

I'm trying to keep my gun budget in the 20-30 dollar range so I doubt I can just buy a replica gun someone is selling.
>>
>>10763437
Your ass is too bony, that's tbe most important part. You need your pads to be bigger. Bare minimum from hip to knee.
Idk your shoulder width, but it also looks like you need bigger tit pads. Just a bit, though, to shift focus from your shoulders

Do more androgynous characters like Hange count as a crossplay? Or like Miquella, from Elden Ring? I was considering the latter, since I've never done a proper cosplay, and I like him a lot. I feel like the most complicated part would be hair, I'd probably need a wig. I have necklength, fairly voluminous hair that I've been growing out for a bit, would that get in the way of a wig?
I really have no idea what I'm doing desu. I just want to be a little more feminine and I think this would be a decent way to start without feeling super weird about it.

any girls that cosplay guys here? gonna cosplay a guy and tfw don't know how to get over the height anxiety
>>
>>10764924
Really only in the manga, honestly. Anime Hange is I think addressed specifically (and drawn as) female. I don't speak a lick of Japanese, but apparently they're never addressed with any specific gender in the manga. It's basically just left up to the reader, but given how they're drawn and the fact they're a high ranking officer in alt-history 1940s, it makes sense to me.
>>10764927
I'm not a girl, but I mean, stressing over it isn't gonna change your height. I don't think most people will care honestly. You could also just go for shorter characters if it really bothers you.

Any tips on how to shave quickly and efficiently? I don't have the money for groomers nor wax. I spend over an hour handling my legs (two if I add my arms), and I really want this to be quicker.
>>
>>10766380
When I have to shave after not shaving for a while I do a pass with an electric razor first to just get a lot of the long ones out of the way, then it makes shaving the legs much quicker. Same for the arms. If it's short enough tho I just use a disposable razor straight away

Is there anything you can do other than just adding hip padding to make a more feminine form when your midriff is exposed?
>>
>>10769002
Big tits and wide hips
>>
>>10769002
It's not your midriff that's the issue- you have a lot of muscle definition in your arms, shoulders and legs. Not much you can do about that dressed as Jinx.

One thing you can fix is the wig & makeup. No problem with the wig itself, but it's too high up on your forehead. And your eyebrows are too low- put them above your brow line. Look at a few picture on Jinx for reference.
>>
>>10769802
Yeah, I've been working on trying to find a way to keep the wig lower on my head, it weighs a fuck ton because the pigtails are over about 6ft long. I've tried a lot of glue wig clips and everything to keep it on my head but it loves to pull itself down. I'm trying to figure out ways I can keep the hairline a little bit lower.

Thanks for the advice on the eyebrows, my girlfriend's been helping me do the makeup so I will see what she can do about that

I'm living at home with my parents while I pay off college debt which should take me less than a year with my current job. I had a crossdressing 'incident' when I was in high school that somewhat put me on thin ice with my parents. I've gained back their trust since then but they're always suspicious of me whenever I say or do anything moderately feminine. If I were caught again all these years later it would not end well for me. I do a mix of making my own and buying cosplay but I basically never order stuff for myself so they'd probably ask if I started ordering a bunch of cosplay stuff and if I were to be sewing a costume they'd also ask what I'm making out of curiosity (plus I don't really have anywhere where I can work on cosplay stuff in private). I'd also be hard pressed to find time to try stuff on or practice doing makeup. I've cosplayed some feminine dudes in the past Like Marik Ishtar from yugioh and before the incident my mom even helped me pick out fabric for a genderswapped madoka kaname though I never went through with making that one. There are some feminine dudes I'm interested in cosplaying like pic related and Griffith but recently I've just been filled with a burning desire to attend a con dressed as a cute girl and I'm growing a little impatient because I know I won't be a cute 22 year old twink forever and I want to get in as much crossplay as I can before I'm cringe and old.

>How to shake my ass when walking?
I dunno about shaking your ass, but you can make your walk more feminine by placing your feet in front of each other- see diagram.

>And what do i need to do to have feminine body language?
To start with- RELAX. So many guys crossplaying at cons are nervous and stiff. Loosen up. Act like you always wear your costume.
Don't stand with your feet parallel. Stand heels together, like an "L", but not necessarily with your feet 90 degrees apart. Put most of your weight on the back leg.
Aside from that, there are lots of ways to make your body language more feminine, but I usually try to make my movements slower and more deliberate- without overdoing it. I also move my eyes more than I turn my head- if that makes any sense. That type of body language isn't strictly feminine, but it's not strictly masculine either...
The other trick I pull is to tilt my head down slightly and look out from under my eyelashes. That's very feminine.

>I know the answer is act gay, but that's not good enough
Do not "act gay". That just makes you seem like a flaming homosexual crossplayer. Act like a girl.

Yes but that is also the corset adjusting. It is referred to as seasoning. The corset gets used to your body not just your body getting used to it.

Idk what you mean when you say "like an L"
Like the way most women tend to hold their hips slightly at an angle when they stay still, feet not side by side?
>>
>>10773388
Ok i figured out what you mean.
Posing is easy because it's premeditated, i want to know some "cheats" to feminine body language.
How should i move my arms when talking?
How should i shift my weight when moving/also talking?
How much eye contact/avoiding?
Also if i have long hair should i swing my head more?
Honestly this feels like something that just fixes itself once i'm both fully in costume and in a social context, cause it just feels super weird doing all of this for myself infront of the mirror

Epilator goes whirr. You get 1-2 weeks of full hairless. Then a face of red bumps as they try to poke back out.

Is the shirt in pic rel just a regular shirt but several sizes too big or is it something unique?
Looking at most size charts, they mostly look like they just change the width, not the height
>>
>>10773863
so i'll be ordering a shirt like this off of redbubble cause i need my own design, would this just be an L long T-shirt? I'm 170cm, which is actually shorter than most women in my country, so i have a relative idea of how it will look.
>>
>>10773148
Ok i kept trying and this is the best i got.
Looks good from far, but up close is very messy and botched and the other eye is both not symetrical and not as good.
Having to ask someone else makes me feel ashamed mostly cause i can't do it all on my own and i need help, i got friends who can do it but i really want to be able to do it myself

Are you dutch or something? Those are some tall women...
>>
>>10775889
Mediterranean. Tf you on about how tall are the women where you live
>>
>>10775889
1,68m is basically top height for almost every woman here. For them to be *above* 1,70m on average, those are some tall women. Wish I lived there...

Thinking about also getting skin colored tights so i can still wear pads, but kinda want to ave tatoos in it.
Can i just draw with permanent marker? That's gonna rub off after washing tho?

Also when getting the tights do i order them to match my size when i am wearing pads or do i order them slightly smaller or larger?
I use some old size L tights that i had lying around to hold my pads, but it doesn't really make them blend seamlessly into my skin and i need to wear pants over it in order to look good, but if i wear pants that sre smaller/tighter it looks better, so idk if this logic works with tightd?

In the USA the average woman's height is 162cm (5'4"). Btw if you're looking at sites with Japanese models, their average is 157cm (5'2"). With you being 170cm (5'7"), you are taller than 82-87% of American women and taller than 96% of Japanese women.

You'll want two pair of panty hose and some tights. Use a slightly too large pair first so you can arrange your pads underneath them. Then put on a on-the-smaller-end pair of support hose to smooth your pads out. the put on a properly sized pair of tights.
>>
>>10776837
Do i really need the pantyhose? If i do can i instead maybe use an extra pair of tights?
>>
>>10777492
The support hose really help hide the edges of the pads- and it's hard to arrange pads in support hose...

I've never tried just a pair (or two pair) of tights alone- it might work but the edges of your pads may show.

i think the nose and brows are the biggest giveaways. maybe try looking into nose contour makeup, and if you're really serious about it change up your brows
but they're still fine
>>
>>10779145
Idk his brows are covered by the bangs, but yeah the nose is too masculine. However i know women who look like that so reasonably he can still pass, though the easiest solution is just to wear a mask or scarf or something.
Helps hide my jaw so it could hide your nose

Look up some tutorials for hooded eyes. Your eyeshadow is just going to disappear otherwise. You didn't mention it- are you wearing mascara? Contour for your nose and jaw would be a good idea. And pluck your eyebrows.
Are you in a predominantly white area? You'll probably get away with a lot more than other people will, if so.

I know they say not to use ace bandages or self adhesive medical wrapping to bind, but is it that bad to use in place of a waist trainer for a weekend?
>use waist trainer
>loose in some places
>Tight in others
>shape looks unnatural
>visible under clothes
>use bandages
>custom shaped curves
>flat
>looks good
Not trying to get kidney damage, so is there anything else better to use? I feel like corsets and waist trainers try to force you into a shape and it ends up looking fucked if it cant. Custom wrapping will never get that perfect shape but it looks far more natural

So i got the shirt, found an old pair of M tights, they're white but it works well enough to see how it works.
Any skirt looks bad with a big ass, but a smaller ass makes my proportions obvious and it just doesn't work.
No skirt works best, but i really want it.
Also exposing my midriff works really well cause i have large tit pads (1m circumference, hips are also 1m) and it looos best.
Shouod i maybe just cut down the shirt so it looks like a larger cropped shirt and just roll with the sweatpants?

Sorry for shit writing my phone screen is broken, you can infer what i meant

Want to hear your opinion on this, how would you define pic related l. Is it more of a crossdress than crossplay? What if you are not trying to pass but still going with feminine clothing/wigs/makeup
