wow good thread op
I won a lace market auction on sunday and the seller still hasn't contacted me or read the message I sent them after winning it, should I be worried ? How much time should I wait before trying to message them again / stressing out for real? They have a lot of good reviews and no negative ones so I was expecting a quicker response, but maybe this is normal idk.
>>10756249Girl, it's been 2 days. Just message them and wait
I really wish that one scalper on yahoo auctions who keeps sniping everything remotely sought after off mercari/fril to scalp on yahoo for 5x more would fuck off and kill themselves. I'm pretty sure they're chinese too.
>>10756333I keep wondering what will happen to them, and their permanently unsold stock. Prices have been going down for months. Will they just have a bunch of crap that they never really wanted?
>>10756357Yes
>>10756277ayrt, I normally wouldn't be this autistic about an auction, this just happens to be a dream dressBut yeah guess I'll just wait, at least I'm not in a rush to receive it for an occasion or something
>>10756333I know who you mean and I’m conflicted bc I bought Elegant Marine & Stardust Fantasia off them this past week lol. Some of their stuff is really reasonably priced. Can’t stop won’t stopI think they’re just a hoarder trying to fund brand t b h
>>10756333Reminds me of that chanyeol chick on Lacemarket who supposedly has a massive closet though seems to own the same thing nwt 5x and sells for at least 5x the retail price
>>10756357Their buyers are almost all shopping services (so overseas people), so I'm not sure. >>10756612No, they're 100% a scalper and immediately sell after they buy. Someone posted their mercari acc a few weeks ago and their history was almost 1:1 shit they resold. They saw whatever you bought from them on mercari or fril, bought it for cheap and sold it to you for 5 times the price. And they will use the profit to buy more items you want to sell them to you for 5 times more.
>>10756661>Their buyers are almost all shopping services (so overseas people), so I'm not sure. How do you know that?
>>10756693Nayrt but you can see the partial username of whoever wins an auction on Yahoo, and full usernames of people that leave reviews on Mercari/Fril
>>10756612Can you post link?
>>10756693Their yahoo feedback is full of 2000+ item buyers, which is usually shopping services.https://auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/show/rating?userID=lifaau0736
>>10756661>They saw whatever you bought from them on mercari or fril, bought it for cheap and sold it to you for 5 times the price.I’m well aware of them being discussed here and on people’s insta stories and I know I’m not the only one who’s bought from them at decent prices. I doubt they’re doing a pseudo-dropshipping operation because their photos are consistent. I’m pretty sure I know where they got the Stardust Fantasia jsk bc I narrowly missed out on the fril listing lol, but I still got it for current market value/below RRP regardless so I’m not mad. No one cares about Elegant Marine which is probably why it cost ¥9500I guess a lot of lolitas (Japanese and abroad) probably won’t buy from them on principle but I have no such scruples>>10756714>>10756821
>order a red skirt and white blouse from WW>they toss the two items inside a plastic bag together with nothing in between>blouse now has pretty noticeable red dye stains on the collargoddamit wunderwelt... checked the listing and there's no pictures/mentions of these stains so it either happened in transport or was undisclosed
>>10756858It could've been a dye transfer from rubbing. I have light and dark and bright colored stuff in different sections of my wardrobe to try to prevent this
I hate the fact that being even slightly confrontational makes me feel horrible. Had another bad experience with a LM seller, honestly considering never shopping there again, unless it's a DD. I'll probably suck it up, leave a neutral review and regret having spent the money on something that ended up being in incredibly poor condition again.
>>10756944Have you tried contacting the seller?
>>10757353I have, they never replied. Our correspondence was fine before I expressed my concerns.
>>10757358Was the message marked as read?
>>10756944you can always try escalating it to paypal, anon. I have before with this exact issue and gotten my money back (as long as you didn't pay as friends and family)Just take pictures of the item and lots of screen caps of the listing and your messages. Might have to call paypal to help explain better too.
>>10757407Yes, sadly I think they just decided to ignore me>>10757439The thing is, I couldn't pay through paypal because it was a local seller, so I'm screwed when it comes to trying to get my money back. If the seller didn't start ignoring my messages, I'd probably just return the item
>>10757499if she's local go for her through the comm bb.
>>10756836What's your wishlist anon?
>Tfw it's been 1.5 months and the seller hasn't shipped out the itemIt's a domestic sale too jfc
>>10760105That's way too long, I think you should be trying to get your money back at this point
>>10760143The seller is still responsive and I really want the dress, so I'm still holding out hope.
>>10760266maybe she's just stringing you along
>>10760270>>107602661.5 months is so long, they are being stringed along. it's not really a maybe lol. no one is this irresponsible, unless they are trying to scam
This is straight up delusional
The OP cut of Milky Planet is on closetchild for 77000 yen (so more like $600). It's crazily overpriced, but I'm sure there's some desperate covidlita out there that wants it
>>10760528closet child has been doing this more and more recently.
>>10760529CC was late to the sweet boom and thinks overpriced jewelry and main pieces is still the norm one year later. Whoever is pricing their items needs to wake up. 30,000 yen or more for an unpopular dress is outrageous.
>>10756509Did your seller ever reply? I’m going through the same thing right now. She hasn’t even invoiced me and it’s been several days. I understand shipping delays but it takes 30 seconds to send out a PayPal invoice and you can do it on your phone.
>>10760528I cringed that someone actually bought it. The re-release version is so ugly.
>>10760529Good!
>posting a WTB for an extremely popular dress>admitting they can only do a payment planThis is embarrassing.
>>10760629someone bought it tho, it's not overpriced if some covidlita's willing to pay it
>>10760860that's not how scalping works
>>10760849You’d think if they wanted the dress so badly they’d actually sage to pay upfront
>>10760947Pretty much. It's laughable that people post WTBs like this and can't pay up front. If I was selling, I wouldn't want to deal with someone like this.
>>10760877scalping is buying something new and selling it way higher than the value, brand new, right after release. These are limited collected and highly sought after prints. I know a lot of you are new to this fashion and all, but just because something is out of your poorlita newfag price range, it does not define it as scalping.
>>10760957not only is that not what scalping is, but i didn't say that c.c was scalping, don't use such broad examples if you don't know what you're talking about.
>>10760860I’m not talking about MP whatsoever you illiterate fuck. I’m talking about the random unpopular shit rotting away on CC because the staff are dumb arses and thinks the sweet boom prices should be applied to their entire stock.
>>10760961Anon explained exactly what scalping is tho? You’re beyond new and beyond help so piss off forever.
I understand it’s MP but $500? Kek
>>10761101Does she know what the term designer means? Kek
>>10761070she's wrong though. scalpers in this community often buy and resell 2ndhand shit, newfag. remember takoyakico? oh right you're too new. anyway my original point was that she claimed dresses aren't overpriced as long as someone buys them. i was never claiming that c.c was scalping, but she's was defending scalping by saying it's fine if people buy it.
>>10761070I love how scalper-chans always tell on themselves by calling everyone new, poor, and "AKSHUALLY scalping means..."
This might be more for the stupid questions thread, but it also deals with secondhand sales: What do you guys expect from a LM seller when something gets lost? Is it reasonable to expect all of your money back? I personally think it's the seller's responsibly to add insurance if they want to protect themselves. I think PayPal's TOS even says it's the responsibility of the seller to provide proof of delivery.
>>10761452I think it's somewhat buyers responsibility to add insurance too or check seller's policy. Like yeah you will likely get a PayPal refund because PayPal always sides with buyers, but many sellers offer insurance and explicitly say you have to request it since it costs extra and a lot of people don't want to add it to save a couple bucks and get fucked in the end. Many sellers refuse to ship large or pricy things without insurance and some buyers beg them to for a discount. It's really dependent on if it was addressed at all. If its in your TOS and the buyer doesn't ask or asks for no insurance then the buyer is at fault for not reading and being cheap. If you're so concerned then you'd really want it to be insured right? The concept itself is predicated on the idea that you insure things whose value you're uncomfortable with losing and you don't for things you don't care about.
>>10761457>you insure things whose value you're uncomfortable with losingThat seems like a consideration for the seller more so than for the buyer though. The sale is not really complete until its in the buyer's hands, and every seller on LM is using PayPal, so they have to play by those rules.I know being an individual seller sucks, but I just charge the buyer for any added insurance without asking if they want it. Always. If they claim it's too expensive, they should have already known from my listing. I don't really understand sellers who are fast and loose with postal services. Something will eventually get lost, and a buyer is not going to shrug it off.>a lot of people don't want to add it to save a couple bucks and get fucked in the endIt's actually just the seller screwing themselves over when they don't include insurance in the shipping charges. I rather lose a single buyer than lose both the item and the money.
>>10761452You can't expect your money back if the tracking says delivered but you're claiming it's lost. Also it's up to the postal company to keep your package safe once it's left the seller's hands so it's all on them. And yes it would be a better idea if the seller adds insurance to the shipping cost.
>>10761461It's both of their fault but really more the buyer if they refuse knowing TOS says the seller isn't liable. There's also stuff like what >>10761462 said where packages say delivered but postal services fucked up or it got stolen. The seller shouldn't have to foot the bill for the buyers laziness. The transaction ends for the seller when they no longer have control over the package. You can flip it any way but really both parties are responsible. I always ask for insurance because if my shit got stolen off my porch or off a mail truck or a hurricane wiped a cargo ship out or a plane crashed, it isn't the seller's fault or even the mailman's fault. Shit happens and that shit is both people's job to deal with after the fact.
>>10761104Lmfao takoyaki co isn’t that new. Her prices weren’t outrageous like carousel kitty so who fucking cares. Do you get angry any time a person buys an item and marks up the value a bit and sells it? News flash: That’s exactly what CC, WW, gloire soleil, Onegaishi, Tokyo Alice and every secondhand shop does. You seem to be fine with CCs insane markup so why not the other stores? CC pays literally nothing when you sell your clothes to them so they’re one of the most outlandish scalpers according to your logic. They pay under 80 USD for most of the dresses they resell. Buyers are paying their high prices so what exactly is your problem? If other buyers are willing to pay higher prices, then that’s what will set the secondhand market prices. Save yourself time by saying you’re poor and shutting the fuck up next time.
>>10761452Anon, I don’t know what country you’re from but where I live, even if the package has tracking and is insured, the courier will feign responsibility and refuse to pay out the insurance money. There are also times where asswipe buyers lie and claim the package wasn’t delivered so they keep the item and make a PayPal claim to get their money refunded. I’m sick of issues with purchases going smoothly so I stopped selling on LM altogether.
>>10761104Gnomie is that you?
>>10761514you're so pressed
>>10761561You’re the one pressed over the secondhand market. Stay mad bb.
>>10761580i'm not them, i just found your wall of text hilarious.
Judging whoever buys this.
>>10761585
Alright, which one of you gulls has a bot scraping CC for AP stuff? I checked the site 3 minutes after the evening email got sent and pretty much all the AP stuff is gone. The Baby stuff is still there. CC sends their evening emails irregularly so I wanna believe this is a bot and not two lolitas glued to their phone refreshing CC by the second.Plus I'd be surprised if someone looked at these and thought they were insta-buys. I didn't think Cherry Berry Bunny in yellow was this desired.
>>10761634Have you been living under a rock?Starting somewhere early in 2020, CC became a hellscape and the site would completely crash because of how many people began to bot the site. It doesn't crash as much anymore, but bots are very much still in use. Also yellow was basically the "in" color all of 2021, and Cherry Berry Bunny became popular. The email tonight came hours after the listings were actually uploaded. It sounds like you just need to lurk more.
>>10761635>Have you been living under a rock?Yes. I'm happy with my wardrobe and stopped checking CC until recently. I didn't realized it'd turned into this competition where lolitas beat each other with wads of cash like a frilly catfight, all to snatch up decade old dresses. Good for CC I guess. Also nonny, I don't think anybody here cares if you scrape CC. The message can be found through the archives anyways, may as well have kept it up.
>>10761641Yeah I'm dumb and decided after posting that I didn't really want people asking me how I do it, etc, so I deleted it. Basically every secondhand platform has become hyper-competitive over the pandemic (especially for old AP). It's cooled off a little, but only because there's not a lot left on Japanese sites to buy. It sucks and we all pine for the days when things would sit on CC for days or weeks. If you're looking for reenter the market after a few years off, all I have to say is good luck.
>>10761634>I didn't think Cherry Berry Bunny in yellow was this desired. It was always popular and also one of the harder colors to come by.
>>10761452PayPal will find in the buyers favor usually, although if shipping is purchased through PayPal/uploaded and it shows that it’s in the postal service’s hands, I’m not sure if it’s treated differently. I assume they would require insurance to have been purchased. I always buy insurance when I ship things that I’ll be pissed off if it gets lost and needs to be refunded. I include it in the cost of shipping.
>>10761634Popular items selling in three minutes is normal now? Get with the times granny.
>>10761634>not two lolitas glued to their phone refreshing CC by the second.Have some bad news for you nonny
I think I’m done with lace market for the time being. Dealing with a seller who is being flakey about an item and it’s infuriating me. All my other experiences have been super positive but this is just testing my patience. I don’t mind if there’s a delay just give me a time frame.
>>10761749I had a flake seller too and it's so frustrating.
>>10761749Happened to me twice, I had to wait over a month for both sellers to ship out my items and then, big surprise, had issues with both items not arriving as described. Idk who's going to reimburse me for the years these interactions took off my life
>>10761634Lol no we're just fucking insane.>T. One of those lolitas who got an item within 1 min of update
>>10761842Good job overpaying for an ugly cut of a hype print. It’s not the flex you think it is kek.
Why sell just the waist ties??
>>10761749>>10761754Out of morbid curiosity how new are the sellers? I wonder how many bad sellers/buyers lately are covidlitas. Or odfags trying not to sell to covidlitas.
>>10762052Nta, but had a couple of flakes outside of burgerland. They still went through with the sale, but it's just such weird practice.
>>10762048the description literally says why
>>10762054she's asking what the point is, dumbass. not the seller's reason.
>>10762052Nayrt but I've been on LM for 4+ years and all my experiences with flaky sellers were with established lolitas as well
>>10762052My experience with flakes is they’re ita judging by the shit they buy on their feedback and they’re from the UK or South America.
>>10761749Had a buyer upset it was shipped in a week. Pretty annoying that new users can't read terms. The buyers a bit better when it comes to more expensive things in my exp.
>>10762054>I sold my Sugar Sweet Mini Sleeve JSK years ago without waist tie because I can't find it before.>I finally find it now. It's the same waist tie with Sugar Sweet OP as well, I think it should also same fabric with some AP's dress which I don't know.Yeah...I hope she offered to send it to the buyer of her JSK if the buyer covers the shipping before putting the waist ties on LM
Thoughts on this because I think people are overreactinghttps://egl.circlly.com/auctions/ap-happy-garland-garland-brooch
>>10762821No. That’s actually insane.
>>10762821>>10762825People can price things the way they want when it comes down to it. AP has always had releases that sell out immediately and go up for insane prices. It's not new in 2022.
>>10762821>>comments seething about being poorfags
>>10762826Yes they can price however they want, but if the seller really needs the money as they say, they should be pricing it at a price that they know it will move. This is just going to end up languishing on the site like that $300 Ice Cream Parlor Necklace.
>>10762821Here are examples of all listings that sold:https://egl.circlly.com/auctions/angelic-pretty-happy-garland-brooch-c67f2cb1-7778-4696-9b39-77897a603c95https://egl.circlly.com/auctions/angelic-pretty-happy-garland-broochhttps://egl.circlly.com/auctions/angelic-pretty-happy-garland-jsk-brooch-yellowhttps://item.fril.jp/b07bdf3fa4fd983aaecf286fb952bee1?_gl=1*1suvi75*_ga*NTA0MjgxMjkyLjE2MTcyMTM4NjY.*_ga_7KV9PBS698*MTY1MjcyMTg4Mi4yODYuMS4xNjUyNzIxODg3LjU1Realistically, if people are paying the prices then the comments are all ITT poorfag salty tears

>>10762837Agreed. Old schoolers are such fucking cancer.
>>10762831We truly still are in the covid-lita era
>>10762841Exactly. This thing is selling, so it justifies the price. Despite whether or not *I* personally would buy it at a high price, I don't get to dictate that. The people complaining aren't even into AP though? What? Imagine being this dramatic for no reason.
I missed the seething poorfags, anyone get screencaps?
>>10762831all those LM listings were bought by the same person, so not sure if one girl spending over $1k total on strings of cloth triangles is indicative of the market kek
>>10762853Ohhhh. Wait, that is so odd and interesting though. Are they trying to inflate the value? Or am I being an autist
>>10762854that honestly could be
>>10762854Maybe they're a shopping service
>>10762860Probably this. I don't know why anyone would do that, otherwise. I noticed the japanese market didn't have nearly as many, so it's likely japan buying western items. Did Paris get more of the release?
>>10762862That could honestly be the case, with how it released as a limited unannounced release in Paris first...
>>10762848Same, these newfags can't even post caps on a fucking imageboard
While the price may have been somewhat mind boggling, the sheer autism that happened in the comments was absolutely embarrassing. You're not a better person when you start spamming up the comments. Use the lace market block extension for chrome and move on with your life.
>>10762862So weird. Yeah they must be a shopping service

>>10762821Didn’t see the og listing but she’s deleted & relisted, presumably for the same price. I have the HG brooch and if she gets her asking price I might sell mine too, kek. >>10762939You’ve done more than that kek. Is there a way to delete your LM account? I found out this creepy chick in my comm figured out my account based on comparing listings to some of thr rarer pieces I own and stalks my purchases to complain about them to othet members. It makes me very uneasy and I want to delete my account and make a new one because of it.
>>10763703no it's not. it takes 5 seconds to get a cotton ball and remove it with acetone. these aren't like acrylics that you need to get professionally filled. they're nubby nails with chipped cheap polish.
>>10763689Do you like buying used things from gross people? She could at least not show her ugly nails on the picture. >>10763700Feeling shame over being seen as a lazy slob who can't spend 2 seconds removing her 2 month old nail polish is normal

>>10763734welcome to lolita, the fashion where people pay $200 for used socks and feel physically ill upon the sight of chipped nail polish
>>10763723>How do you know it's 2 monthsJudging by the fact that you don't know what hyperbole is, I'll say that you're the 12 year old here. Does it matter how old the nail polish is when it looks this gross? If someone voluntarily goes outside looking like that and chooses not to take the few seconds it takes to fix it, it's a red flag and something indicative of how they treat themselves and their clothes. It's like going outside with a rat's nest of hair that hasn't been brushed for a week or unbrushed teeth and saying that's normal, it's all part of basic hygiene and grooming, and this is the hill you're dying on. Besides, I just don't want to look at someone's gross or unkempt body parts when I'm buying something. They can do whatever they want, but I don't want to look at it. It's natural to be grossed out by that, and really not that difficult to understand.
>>10763809Nayrt but this is some next level insanity.Having matted hair is extremely different from old nail polish. I don't know where you learned this tier of paranoia, but old nail polish says nothing about hygiene. You sound like you have an actual phobia. How are you grossed out by that and not dead skin cells on every piece of secondhand clothing? The only thing that grosses me out in listings is seeing people's fat arms, etc, because that let's me know their brand is probably stretched out. But that has a tangible effect, unlike someone just not wanting to paint their nails again.
>>10763809it’s more akin to someone not re-dying their hair after it fades or their roots grow out, not having dirty unbrushed hair? it look bad but it’s not unhygienic
>>10763809>They can do whatever they want, but I don't want to look at it. It's natural to be grossed out by that, and really not that difficult to understand.I know we're talking about nail polish but it's funny that this is what religious nuts say about gays. Oddly enough it's equally as unhinged and stupid sounding when you say it about chipped nail polish.
>>10763711Have you ever fucking heard of gel nail polish? Stop shitting up the thread with your stupidity.
>>10763153You’d be the first name on the master list for scalping Little Witch for $600. Fuck off you moldy sow.
>>10763863>>10763863I paid a scalper for that shit and I was trying to get rid of it, I've literally posted proof screenshots before. Fuck off you moldy sow.
so where the hell is my candy fairy mto. I barely even want it anymore at this point.
>>10763809Do you have like, actual OCD or something? Genuine question, this isn't a normal feeling to have.
>>10763861Nayrt but it's obviously not gel, and you can remove gel with acetone anyway
>>10763943I have ocd and even I’m not that insane. Get your brain checked, anon
>>10763943Not wanting to look at someone's gross nails isn't OCD, anon
if you are all seriously fighting over some chipped nail polish you are insane and have more issues than the girl with the chipped polish
>>10763965For real can you all shut the fuck up about the nail polish this is the second day this thread has been fighting about it.
>>10763968Fuck you im gonna make it three
>>10763936Wrong thread, newfag
>>10763968it's been less than 24hrs, get over it.
lmao here we go again
>>10763993Lets fight about how long the nail polish thing has been going for instead. Yesterday I read about it. Today I read about it. Its the second day I don't give a fuck how many hours its been. Chipped nail polish is gross; great shut the fuck up.
>>10763934Are you…..repeating the insult that anon called you? Peak retardation.
what posses ppl to post comments like this?
>>10764580They want people to feel bad for them because they think it's ~muh right~ to fit into brand.
>>10764580What possesses you to spell so poorly?>>10764598I think they, like most people are just dumb enough to think other people care about their lives. It's not about fitting brand or not. Some people are just weird and think anyone cares what they have to say.
>>10764580Especially on Lace Market. Why? If you can’t fit it or don’t intend to buy it, just piss off.
>>10761514CC, TokyoAlice and WW sell items that are otherwise not available, since whoever sells it to them doesn't want to list them themselves.Buying items from second hand websites we literally can all buy ourselves and then flipping them, like gloire soleil, onegaishi, takoyaki and probably you do, is scalping. No amount if screeching newfag or projecting your poorfaggotry and lack of proper job will change that.
>>10764580people treating LM like some fb comment section will always weird me out. it's a special dumbass to outing yourself as a dick while you're trying to shill your shit.

>>10764791I’d buy it if the bunny was the older version desu.
>>10765014Yes! This one is so ugly

What fool would buy the princess in love jsk for 100,000 yen on closet child when there's an mto?
>>10765695I just don't understand how people fuck up altering their dresses like this, it's so easy to fix too. She just needs more matching black fabric to replace it
>>10766522Was wondering the same thing. It’s the 2014 version as well.Probably forgot to remove 恋するお姫様 from their bot
>>10765704wunderwelt at least provides a service for the people who are too lazy to sell their stuff by themselves
>>10766538if someone will have their whole life made insufferable just because they can't go on a diet do you really expect them to put some effort into altering a dress?
>>10765879Girl no it is not.
>>10766540That's a possibility
>>10763788KEK
>>10766522Came here to post this. I cackled when I saw it sold... >>10766540Yeah, either someone is an obsessive collector and really wants the ~first release~ of the 2014 version (which is c dumb, because the MTO is basically the same), or was using bots. It would not surprise me if it's back up on CC in a day or two from them begging to cancel it.
>>10763788Not everyone in the fashion is a sweetfag retard that would even consider buying used socks in the first place, both are gross
>>10766547Other places provide the same service nonna. Just say you’re okay with resellers only if its a Japanese company or person doing it and go.
God damn, I just wish Lace market didn't shit it'self to death every other week
>>10756199lacemarket is down on multiple devices for me. send prayers my way, i was in a bidding war
>>10766764Maybe you don't remember the days of comm sales, but I'm really happy we even have a platform like lm.
>>10766789Same. Most of the newfags are always complaining about LM, but it's way better than what we had before.
>>10766789>>10766790lj was much easier to use than lm is.
>>10766811How? Not much can be easier than clicking your mouse a couple of times to buy something, you don't even have to talk to anyone
>>10766811Categorically incorrect
>>10766811No it wasn’t. Especially if the seller was being a dunce and didn’t sell it to the first commenter. I lost a couple dream dresses bc of that bullshit.
>>10767148I forgot to add bc some nonita will argue over it: Even if you commented first and sent your PayPal payment straight away, they would still give preferential treatment to other potential buyers.
>>10767150this also happens on LM all the time. it's just not as obvious.
>perfect for sweet lolita
Sketchy af
>>10767221If this is on LM, it's against the rules to list something the seller doesn't physically have.
>>10767176kek what the fuck? it's literally just a normie dress. does this retard also think square dancing dresses or 1950s dresses are lolita because they have petticoats?
I have a pretty casual interest in lolita so I don't keep up as much as people on this board. Is it just me, or has the availability of decent lolita shit (or maybe just baby & AP, which is what i'm usually browsing) on mercari declined substantially in just the last 6 months? And if so, is it because of scalpers like what >>10756333 is referring to, people not wanting to sell to overseas customers for some reason, or just more and more western zoomers using mercari/buyee?
>>10767579Sellers never wanted to mail outside of Japan…you’re aware they cancel orders bought by big SS right? This has been an issue for a long time. Nothing good or cheap has been listed since the pandemic so where have you been?
Why?
why do people even make the bid and BIN price the same?
>>10767790It just makes sense to list it like that. That's a pretty good price for that item btw
>>10767790>>10767814Why the fuck are these always priced so high outside the Japanese market?A blue FH jsk & nurse cap set sat on fril at ¥40,000 for ages recently. Similarly, someone listed a white jsk & nurse cap set starting at ¥40k and it didn’t sell until she dropped it to ¥36k. Am I missing something?
>>10767878Fruit jelly is a scalper. I’m not sure why these lace market scalpers do this, they have all these listings for ridiculous prices and none of them ever sell. They probably sell something once in a while to someone who’s stupid or desperate, but it seems like it’s terribly inconsistent and they can’t be making much profit
>>10767880Yeahhhh when I was a newfag I made the mistake of buying from them. Like they were nice and all but fuck I think I overpaid by about $150, absolute rip off and I've definitely learnt my lesson lol
>>10767790That's nothing, I've seen people making the bid starting more than BIN Almost bought it just for fun but they were clearly new so I just messaged them warning about it because I felt bad
>>10767625>Sellers never wanted to mail outside of Japan…Sure but why? The shipping is at the buyer's expense, the SS handles the international shipping / customs form for the item and the buyer generally can't get a refund or complain. I've sold items to people purchasing via shopping services myself and I like it because I know they're not going to cause some problem
>>10768027They don't want items leaving the Japanese market
>>10768031that's not actually why. it's annoying for individuals to ship overseas.
>>10768036they don't have to. for mercari, which is what we're talking about, Buyee handles the international shipping process for themthe only thing I can guess is that they just don't understand how the buyee overseas selling option works and don't want to bother figuring it out
>>10768027>>10768036because they hate foreigners
>>10768073for real. do people not know about japan's infamous xenophobia?
>>10768073>>10768117Kek I'd say it's deserved
>>10768065>Buyee handles the international shipping process for themno it doesn't, are you fucking stupid?
Any of you femcels selling used socks or stockings (not washed?)
>>10768155i will. i have big smelly feet. drop contact
>>10768155Unironically yes
>>10768155absofuckinglutely drop your contact
>>10768155Yep
>>10768027Tell me you’re new without telling me. It’s been known since sites like Yahoo Auctions started that sellers refuse to ship internationally or sell to foreigners. >>10768065What the fuck are you talking about? There isn’t any sort of option like that. Buyee purchases the listing as usual and if sellers read their profile, it states they purchase on behalf of overseas buyers. Most times the seller will cancel because they don’t want anything to do foreigners even if they aren’t directly communicating and selling to them. Buyee has bought some of my items on flea market sites and the process is no different if a Japanese person buys. You’re a dumbass who doesn’t know what they’re talking about so shut up.
>>10768036>im clueless about the situation but will be as wrong as possible!
>>10768198>Most timesthis has literally never happened to me or anyone I know
>>10768249Just because it hasn’t happened to you doesn’t mean it never does. I’ve had sellers refuse to deal with Buyee and Japonica.
>>10768249I've also had many sellers refuse Buyee. I never assume I have something bagged until I get the shipping confirmation.
>>10768255it definitely happens but "most times" is an overstatement
>>10768277It happens like a quarter of the time to me.
>>10768277Nta but yes it happens “most times” for me. As in over fifty percent of my orders.
>>10756249If this was about the Marie OP, i'm sorry!!! Check your inbox for tracking!!
Wunderwelt pricing is trash. How are they even selling anything? Like don't they know that the honey cake jewelry isn't sought after anymore?
>>10769099Plenty of lolitas would still pay a lot of money for homeycake and other AP jewelry, they're not just going to lower their prices because a few girls snub their noses at it.
>>10764721I don't even read LM comment. When I have 20+ listings up I'm not going through each individual listing several times a day, just to see if someone has left a comment and then it's just some stupid shit like "omg that's my DD, gl with your sales". The email I used to to register with is also a throwaway I used to make accounts everywere, so it's filled to the brim with spam and I'm not bothering with checking that either. Have now stated in my TOS that I don't read comments, problem solved.
Not being able to have a mercari or fril account makes me sad or even the fact that if you make one and move out of japan you can no longer use it
I'm thinking too much here but how do we know that SS's aren't buying what we order for themselves?
>>10769641What are you even talking about? That if your shopping service misses something they bought it for themself? If you think that, find a different shopping service? Or realize that they would get it most likely anyway because they can buy it themself because they live in Japan? Even if they do, you have no way of knowing that they didn’t buy it before you even saw it, and let’s be real, they probably didn’t. If they did, it’s likely it was on behalf of another customer; unless you’re paying a ridiculous amount for exclusivity you have no right to be mad about that either. TLDR: we all miss out on stuff sometimes and you sound like a schizo
>>10769645Your reply was a bit extreme, you sound hurt kek
>>10769641I don't think that would happen, desu. I think tenshi sells off any items that buyers flake on, but that's about it. I think it'd be too big of a reputation risk.
>>10769676How would you know in the first place unless the shopping service straight up told you they bought it for themself? If there was an occurrence where the shopping service did that, the smart thing to do would be to say it sold out or something. I guess if your ss is a lolita there’s a risk of that happening but there’s no way to know for sure if they bought it for themselves or another customer (on the off chance you checked and saw that they did purchase it on an auction or something). It’s a weird thing to be worried about, and easily solved by using a ss that’s not run by a lolita.
>>10769641There are SS that have done this, and ones that have even worn their customer’s dress.
>>10769684The only lolita SS I can think of is mintkismet. Are there others?
>>10769780Deets?
>>10769101>homeycake
>>10769876it's a joke anon
>>10769781Celestial delinquent and tenshi are some others
>>10769885For some reason I always thought tenshi wasn't a lolita
(Before anyone starts, I already own the dress and in 2 colorways below)Anyone know why chanyeolexo on Lacemarket has had the melty ribbon chocolate jsk for sale in new or near new condition for what it feels like at least 4 times? Are they a scalper (and I shouldn't buy from them) or collector? I'm confused.
>>10770185they are a known scalper
>>10770191Ugh that sucks, thank you.
>>10770185i regretfully bought from her when i was starting out, but it wasn't a nwt item. at least she was nice and was honest about the item's issues. i just overpaid, looking back.
>>10770185I've bought from her plenty of times, there was no issues
>>10770185Because she’s a Chinese scalper that lives in Tokyo.
WTF
>>10772862Is that specifically listed on lacemarket? Sometimes things listed on other circlly pages get onto the lacemarket featured listings.
>>10772881It's probably from the BJD/doll market
>>10773262Kek
>gets my dream bag on fril >excellent condition with no scuffs or marks on the faux leather>pieces all present>smells like it was caked in cigarette smoke for at least 2 yearsI’m gonna air it outside but it’s strong
>>10773559Happened to me when I bought a dream dress off mercari as well. No mention of smoke damage but showed up smelling awful out of the plastic. Had to sell it off because it was making me sick.
>>10773559This reads as one of those forum posts that are like "Your wish is granted but with one big downside." And the downside is cigarette hell. Still, congrats! I know sometimes people don't want to disclose the stench because they fear it might devalue their item, but like, you know... They could help out by airing it out or making it smell nice or just fucking disclosing. The people buying the item will know what they're getting into and will be prepared. Wishful thinking maybe, because then you get the people who cake an item in (cheap) perfume and you can still smell the cancer regardless.
seller says their price is firm
>>10773955Evidently not that firm considering that starting bid was at $1,300 before
Getting really frustrated with LM, second item I sell in a row that has something go wrong with the shipment (never had issues with transactions before), I forgot to confirm someone's address because I was going through a lot of personal things and turns out they had listed their old address in their paypal and didn't check / tell me. If they can't retrieve it can this be blamed on me or is it on the buyer?
>>10773955Does anyone really want this? It seems like the seller is the one who wants it. Like it's kinda cute, I guess, but it feels more like a closet filler than a common favorite for most people.
>>10773966shit i never confirm addresses with people and i think someone only confirmed my address with me like once... i feel like its just common sense if you moved you would check that kind of stuff to change it.with lm they do tell you to confirm addresses, but paypal would probably side with you.seems like worse that could happen is you get banned from lm, but do mods even respond to people anymore? doubt theyd really do anything.
>>10773966I never confirm, it should be up to the buyer to get their address right before they buy, though I do appreciate when some buyers send their address to check for shipping quotes beforehand. Also be careful, this happened to me twice. First time the person I think was a scammer and filed a charge back. They won the case but I was saved because of tracking saying delivered (I gave evidence from lacemaket too). Second time I had to cancel 3 times as they hadn't changed their address as they said they would (costing me money).
>>10773966It’s on the buyer to update their address. They should have entered the new one or messaged you about moving so they dropped the ball twice. The buyer is a scammer or a dolt.
>>10773968i think it is an adorable dress, but like you said i see it as a closet filler and definitely not worth $1,400.
>>10774015Wasn't there a full set for the white colorway recently that sold for less than $1400?https://egl.circlly.com/auctions/ap-sugar-hearts-jsk-set
>>10773968I would want it if it had a different cut. I love the print, but the bra shaped bodice looks retarded.
Is anybody else cringing at the $20 Jesus Diamante dresses on WW? 2006 me would have gone nuts
>>10774016I looked at the listings and there were a couple sets for under that price. And at the risk of sounding like a poorfag, why is sugar hearts going for that much anyways? The current prices are sugary carnival and milky planet levels of overpriced for a basic dress.
>>10774031There are a few really, really dedicated fans of Sugar Hearts that'll pay out the ass for it.
>>10774031I was considering buying that listing but I knew of someone that was searching for the dress as it was her dream dress. Luckily it was a full set too! After seeing how cute it was, my interest for it has grown on me quite a bit.
>>10774033After seeing the price of it, I’m crossing it off my wishlist…
>>10773262Is she a scalper???
>>10774024You can get jd really cheap on jp mecari these days, I'd jump on it and scalp to the tiktok gals if I could be assed
>>10774066Heroin ain't cheap nonny
