I think it’s an issue of skewed perspective to a degree. Groups focused on improving are way less likely to make a big deal out of concrit, while groups with thin skin will turn a molehill into a mountain over the simplest critique. Good groups and soloists aren’t nearly as discussed on this board, because there’s way less drama there and let’s face it, we all love a good bit of drama. etude are an older au group.
they started off as a ll group and have always been one of the more popular groups.
they were one of the first groups to transition away from ll and are now releasing original music. they're pretty drama free and safe.

faeble are ex members of ll group mews. they were also one of the more popular groups but were pretty drama-ridden from what I can remember. they started moving away from ll after one of their members ria (now in citrus) started performing with ags102. mews is pretty much disbanded with most of the members doing other things. faeble do one-man cover lives that are pretty lackluster and often filled with too many guest acts to pad for time.

anyways. i honestly think the only redeemable groups there are in australia is amuse project and etude au. (watched series ai and was introduced to etude au from there)

neonism setlists get really boring and sometimes the original songs they release during shows are a bit iffy. everytime i watch a snippet from citrus plus or faeble future i wonder if they even practiced. anon from above is absolutely correct, faeble cant hold a proper show by themselves and needs guests to pad the runtime.
denpa is straight up unwatchable, id rather watch himes solo stream.
there are lots of other groups that are in australia but they have either never performed or are still in the cosplay phase or even worse just straight up cringe. youd think that being completely seperate from the rest of the international idol community that australian idols would be much more better but its the same if not worse than here.
