>"celebrity" cosplayers featured as guests
Sorry to hear that your guest application didn't get accepted. Don't give up, you'll get your free room and ride in the future.
>>10750727/thread
>>10750727>>10750797It's a good idea for a thread though
You can tell how much money a con has by the quality of their guest
>>10750727OP is right though. I'm a nobody working on his first cosplay and it always struck me as circlejerking.
>>10750606>Then some random cosplayers get more attention than the ""pros""I love it
>>10750606are these "nobody" celebrities actually getting paid to go there? I'm not just talking free ticket like janny trannies.Like, unless you get a free airplane ticket or a good hotel room then it's kind of a waste an afternoon or more being surrounded by sweaty incels who need parasocial relationships when you could be doing other stuff.
>vax AND masks; vax is fine but both? (looking at you tekko)>literally who english VA guests >super marked up merch
>>10750971>vax AND masks; vax is fine >but both?Literally who is saying "jab yes, mask no?" Even one? I cannot name a one. Came fairly close last week with Uchicon, but that doesn't count either, since just a test was good enough
>>10750991I see lots of complaints over mask requirements but everyone seems to glaze over the vax requirement, and that one causes much more trouble and congestion with con lines needing to verify everyone
>>10750968I think if you are a guest, you tend to get free admission and free room. Actual celebrities get paid to come.
>>10750971>vax is fineneither of the two are fine. covid was so last year.
>>10750606>"pro" cosplayer>they don't make their cosplayscelebrity cosplayers that make their cosplays are cool (especially if they have tutorials, like Kamui), because they at least work for it. celebrity cosplayers that don't make their cosplays are ????
>>10751141Evil Ted is probably one of the only "celebrities" in the cosplay community.
>>10751047Yes, thank you. I'd put up with mask requirements if I didn't have to show random ass nobodies my personal medical history.I don't even have to show proof of vaccination to get into my specialist doctors office filled with imunocompromised people, but I have to show it to get into a weeb convention???
>>10751153>but I have to show it to get into a weeb convention???Its aalways the fat staff at these cons that try to pretend they know all about health, too.>*wheeezze* WEAR THE *breathes heavily* MAAAASK
>>10751153>but I have to show it to get into a weeb convention???because weebs are sadly disgusting and unhygienic people >>10750991masks are going to be absolute death for summer cons, i thought the reason why i got 3 shots was so i didn't have to wear a mask but because weebs are so damn nasty + antivax we can't have nice things
>>10751155>i thought the reason why i got 3 shots was so i didn't have to wear a mask but because weebs are so damn nasty + antivax we can't have nice thingsthe only reason we have masks and such is because you keep listening to fearmongering staff and news
>>10751155>My medicine doesn't work unless you take yours>Safe and EFFECTIVEWhy are so many of you so easily manipulated?
>>10751246Its a groupthink thing for them.
>>10751246>>10751157you can believe what you want just as much as i can, all i want is no masks
>>10751155>i thought the reason why i got 3 shots was so i didn't have to wear a maskYou didn't get your fourth shot fast enough. You should hurry up and get it. I hear running helps with keeping the covid away, you should jog instead of driving to krispy kreme for your free donut, you're saving the environment as well.
>>10751289>I hear running helps with keeping the covid away, you should jog instead of driving to krispy kreme for your free donut, you're saving the environment as well.I know you're trying to be antagonistic but being a healthy weight and exercising does help reduce your risk of severe illness from most diseases if you have no other conditions or complications and we should walk more instead of driving; America is a land of painfully unwalkable cities and worse public transit than even Europoor countries. Vaccines are also generally good for public health when everyone or mostly everyone takes them.
>>10751246It's insane how many of you retards are confident in not knowing fucking anything about vaccination. Just say you don't want to get one you fucking retard.
>>10751352Business follows trends. Until at least 70% of people are walking everywhere, no business will have an incentive to build near houses. The best you get is fatty food trucks that defeat the purpose of getting fit and healthy.
>>10751358Im pretty sure not even you know anything about the vaccines you intake. The only people who know the truth about them or the doctors who prescribe them and the creators of them. Pfizer btw has had two straight record years of profit. I'm sure thats only a coincidence. Surely.
>>10751368>Business follows trends. Until at least 70% of people are walking everywhere, no business will have an incentive to build near houses. You're somewhat right and that's why I mentioned public transit too. Government led infrastructure projects and the right zoning are what create better planned cities. Urban planning and design is an entire career field and can have an insane impact on how people live their lives in how movement is guided or restricted. That alone would make burgers less fat. It's why US college students tend to stay relatively thin compared to sedentary older adults, from walking or taking buses around campus and their city, and why when North Americans visit Japan they lose weight despite stuffing their faces on vacation just walking and taking trains.
>>10751372Speaking of Japan, japan isnt entirely healthy. They still get diabetes and tend to get more stomach based illnesses due to their sea diet.
>>10750813Lots of money isn't always a good thing. Look at AX. Soulless monster of a con now.
>>10751385Its worse than that. A lot of the admin take most of the money and spend it on other stuff and never the con. That's how a few cons here in Texas became bad. The con staff was taking in millions but not getting any concerts or celebrities to come.
>LGBT representation in anime/video games Panel>BIPOC Representation in anime/Video Games Panel>Healthy at every size body acceptance panel for fatties panel>Japan's history of Queerness panel>Geekdoms long history of queerness and why representation matters panel>Gay, Fat, Bisexual, and Black; How I came to accept myself in a hobby that doesn't represent me Panel. >Gays in Comics, the panel>EctFucking ABSOLUTE cringe. Taking up valuable panel space, they should all be forced to share a timeslot so it's all done at once and doesn't impact the rest of the con schedule.
>>10751391I really don't know why they feel the need to do it. The overwhelming majority of attendees at a convention for nerd shit are going to be open-minded and well-meaning people who don't need to be told all this. I don't care if they want to hold neopronoun acceptance debates, but why does it have to be at the goofy anime festival?
>>10751246>vaccine>medicinaYou truly are retarded
>>10751400The truth is that the people holding these panels are projecting their own insecurities. And they also dont like that everybody doesnt believe what they like. They are also using these panels to basically force people to care about what they do, when the majority of attendees can care less. They're there to have fun. And yes there will be people who dont like gay or trans people, but they keep away from those types of people anyway. These panels make it seem like there's a band of anti LGBT people walking around telling them to stop. Most people criticize in silence. It's all stupid.
>>10750606Seriously this.
>>10751373Yeah I just meant as far as not being fat. The diabetes is connected to genetics. Their healthcare is socialized like much of the civilized world though.
>>10751352>we should walk more instead of driving; America is a land of painfully unwalkable cities and worse public transit than even Europoor countries. You're not wrong. Good luck getting anyone to walk anywhere, even for their own health. Land of the free is full of citizens who want no personal responsibility.>Vaccines are also generally good for public health when everyone or mostly everyone takes them.Yes. If America was allowing distribution and freedom to it's citizens to utilize not just FDA EUA vaccines but also WHO EUL vaccines and medications that were made available in other parts of the world as per each citizen's own discretion instead of only the three absolutely perfect and totally not flawless vaccines made available in the U.S., this statement of generally good would be accurate. The U.S. medical system is renowned corrupt and designed to fuck you over in a million ways a la medical and policy ignorance. To stay on topic with the OP>Conventions continuing to sustain vaccination mandates despite their states dropping them, especially those cons choosing to discriminate against those who were vaccinated in other countries.
>>10751391Holy shit I'm surrounded by faggots, niggers, and landwhales.God I hate LA I'm glad I got out of there as soon as I could
>>10751589A con I wanted to go to has a pretty strick vax policy but my favorite tidbit is that they will accept an Astrazeneca vax but not a Novavax...Novavax which is approved and in distribution in Japan. So either the person that wrote their policy is an idiot, or they basically just admitted in their covid policy they aren't bothering to book Japanese guests this year
>>10750606gotta thank Putin for distracting people from the COVID circlejerk
>>10750606SJW panels. Especially when they take up an entire fucking block of the schedule. If you want to have your "cosplaying as a fat gay autistic poc" panel then have at it but at least give me something else fun to do in the meantime.
I went to my first con, overheard a group of girls talking about how hard it is to pee, one of them frankly said last year she peed herself and had to hide and wash her costume because it took too long getting it off in the bathroom. I got a full erection and started breathing really heavy and quickly left the con to not be the con pervert. It's been five years, I've never gone to another con, and I still sometimes remember that and get erections. My fetish is too strong, so I can't enjoy cons.Does that count as a cringe thing.
>>10751764kino
>>10751764There's a surprising (?) number of posters on this board who admit to peeing their dresses
>>10752741I've never noticed, never peed in my cosplay either
>>10752743Same. But I remember a thread that derailed into stories about peeing yourself almost immediately
>>10752739Based fellow pissretard>>10752741>>10752743>>10752744I love cosplayers who pee in their costumes or struggle hard not to so muchI wish I had time to lurk /cgl/ enough to see conversations like thatI'm openly saying I would fap just to the storiesIt's so unbelievably hot to meWhen I hear a woman talking about peeing herself or having to pee irl, I actually see red and it's incredibly hard not to hyperventilate, get an erection, start fapping in public, or grab and grope her. No one will ever know or understand what a tough battle it is for me just to keep being a good and decent guy. The obsession is so hard to resist. I don't go out much anymore. At home I can't stop thinking about cosplayers and secretaries and office ladies peeing themselves. The worst is when women make jokes about peeing at work, I do customer service. The self control it requires to just act normal through that is exhausting. I love /cgl/ girls who pee in their dresses more than I can describe but I need to keep away from cons where I might get to experience it because I don't want to be a sex pest. I really need a gf...
please someone let me pee on them in cosplay
>>10752758If you are a pretty woman absolutelyI want to coom just thinking about it
Con Security faggots who LARP like they're soldiers or cops.
>>10752763So literally all of them. Add on to that tough guys pretending to be com security to hit on underage girls. Most pathetic shit I've ever seen.
>>10753080Conventions is a great example of why you don't mix kids and adults together in a scene where people run around, party, and drink.
>>10752763And most of them are balding, have unkempt beards, are overweight, and completely impotent in their threats. I wonder why this is... Tis surely but a coincidence
>>10751289They got rid of the free donutFeels sad man
>>10750606Never was a fan of costhot "celebrities" either.
Religious Protestors who will tell every passerby with a megaphone that they are going to hell if they don’t seek JesusFlabby Hairy Men who show up at a con only wearing a thong with no context. Can’t tell if he’s cosplaying or being an exhibitionist freak
>>10753215That was the point. To get you conditioned. Realize also the woman in that pic is fat af.
>>10753284You really can't tell? Who would he be cosplaying as?
>>10753321>silly, it's just a joke that you see my hairy ass and pubes through my thong! Lighten up! Youre not a bigot are you?!
>>10753326Um sweety don't stare rape or objectify the cosplayers they're not there for your sexualization or judgment
Female cosplayers, in your experience what are some of the worst cons in terms of bathroom access and having enough bathrooms?I ask because this thread has me wanting to go subtly creep on desperate cosplayers waiting in line to pee.
>>10753795security will be up your ass faster than your bfs dick.
>>10753796What if I simply creep from afar
>>10750968My ex is a cosplayer who was a guest at quite a few smaller cons while I was dating her. She generally wasn't paid cash but they paid for plane tickets, hotel room, meals, and obviously badges, and that was often for me as well. She did have some actual paid appearances as well but those were with exhibitors, not the con itself. She was even a guest at some con in SE Asia, Thailand or Singapore or something, but that was after we broke up so idk the details.
>>10751764>>10752747man I have some creepy fantasies about cosplayers but I'm glad they're not anywhere near *that* degenerate
>>10754078That story he said is likely fake, but in case it's not, there's a reason I refuse to go to cgl meetups.
>>10751141>celebrity cosplayers that don't make their cosplays are ????They're models, that's just what they are. Zero crafting skills, the only thing they need to do is diet and exercising to look hot in a costume.
>>10754078Yeah. My fantasies are pretty tame compared to watching other women pee.
>>10754085The story might be fake but it's clearly a dude who has a fetish for cosplayers pissing themselves in costume. Of course these days I guess that's not even that weird compared to the shit I see people talk about, sometimes I feel like I'm hopelessly vanilla.
>>10754085It's not a fake story it's legitimately why I don't go to consI could handle it if no one ever brought it up but she was so blatant and shameless about it I couldn't help becoming coom brained so I just leftThey aren't places for me I'll just read about them and look at pics>>10754109It is. Honestly the costumes are just the cherry on top or maybe an intersecting kink. I'm not a bad person or lacking in moral judgment I just find it difficult to be around women who talk about peeing or having to pee, or are obviously desperate to, because it primally arouses me. I've never been in a relationship so I'm very thirsty and lonely. Anyways I am not a kinky person outside of that and just keep to myself and live quietly. Please don't think less of me.
>>10751391yeah every con has this shit now. i miss when everyone knew traps were gay, and that was ok, without needing 3hr essays about it
>>10754157gays should be segregated from the general population in all regards
>>10751157The media has fully moved on to inciting a war with Russia. What are you talking about?
>>10752763Tacticool gear is never a cosplay. Sorry. No I don't care if you say you're from CS or resident evil. You're just being a chud that's a little bit more willing to admit what you're doing is make believe.
I want to say normies at cons but I'm not sure if they are actually normies? It's the mother fuckers who like wear a demon slayer haori and that's all. They aren't even attempting to actually cosplay. They are just wearing like one piece of the cosplay to be in the spirit or whatever. The reason I always think those types are just normies on a day trip is their con manners are always they worse. Just the most insufferable shit heads who are upset that any rule, formal or implied, applies to them.
>>10754172Twitter cringepost
>>10754184Reminds me>People who wear a LGBTQIAA+ flag as a cape
>>10754172someone is jelly
I saw a bunch of those con normies my last 2 cons and teenage guys that just look like the ones you assumed were cool in high school. I would have thought they were just there to look around but they had badges. The one piece of a cosplay thing is weird too, like go all out or just wear a cool t-shirt from a show you like. And all pre-reg/registration lines never starting on time or being all that efficient.
>>10754172(You). Also, no one cares or asked.
>>10754172I always appreciate mall ninjas at cons
>>10751373>DiabetesUnited states is 11%, Japan is 7. Neither of them are as bad as some of the shitty Arab or Pacific island nations, but the burgers are still more diabetic.
>>10754184So basically, either wear a cosplay full on or wear normal ass clothes.
>>10754989This is the most useless post. We know you love japan, doesnt change the fact.
>>10754184I knew /cgl/ hated fun but wowee why do you let how other people spend their day away from you take up so much mental space?
>College con in the middle of nowhere>$7 entry fee (I did not pay)>Literally fuck all to do except play Magic or Mario Party on N64>Going all weekend for some reason>Advertising hotels on their websiteThis is just one particular event but it's both hilarious and sad at the same time.
People who cosplay Deadpool and want to "act in character" by touching people they don't know.
>>10754198At this pointI just don't like lgbtqs and don't want to be around themThe constant unjustified guilt trippingThe smug delusions of superiorityThe dumbass assumed voices and mannerisms. The insistence of being "born this way" with zero genetic evidence and often in the face of previously identifying as straightI don't care who's shocked or who wants to tell me to go back to /pol/, I've never been there, I have nothing against gays themselves, but the lgbtq "community" cult has fucking worn itself out. It's like a mafia.
>>10755801>The smug delusions of superiorityThis is the one that makes me dislike them the most so I agree with you there. I cant even hold a conversation without it becoming some form of holier than thou in their subject. Can't we just fucking talk about naruto for once?!
>>10755801It is quite interesting to me how anime conventions are the lone place where people of extreme left and right ideologies come together for something that's usually 100% apolitical. After a few in the last month, I came to realize that there are waaaaay more (self-identified) trannies out there, and most of them seem to be androgynous baby faced girls (female). They don't seem to get too arrogant about it around me, but the conversations will devolve into that, and it gets annoying VERY quickly
>>10755801Not to mention the grooming. Gay people can be chill but the gay community is disgusting. Trying to brainwash literal children into hooking up with older men, lesbian man hate, body mutilation, claiming to be feminist while donning themselves up like clowns in "celebration " with names like Lolita VonCuntmunchGod I hate it.
>>10755820Plus using their orientation as a deflection for criticism. Call them out on their bad behaviour or underperformance and they will raise pissy hell about you hating them because they're gay. Then they'll either try to pit you against others by saying "X and Y do Z but you're not yelling at them!" or they will shift the discussion into you trying to prove you're not a "homophobe". Meanwhile I'm pan and nobody except the people I shoot the shit with know. Because what tickles your fancy is private business.
>>10754172>Anon was cucked by a resident evil soldier
>>10755826>Then they'll either try to pit you against others by saying "X and Y do Z but you're not yelling at them!"They learn from only the "best"
>>10750727I see the emails that a con gets from cosplayers wanting a free ride. We get on average of 40 of them per year. We always throw them out.
>>10755801My god, they're Gen Z's answer to Evangelicals but without a God
>>10755855>that imageholy projection
>>10754198>>10755801>>10755809>>10755811>>10755820>>10755826>>10755855Uh /cgl/SheeshCool it with the anti-semitism!>>10756039Exactly except evangelicals largely stick to policing conduct and enforcing social norms within their own voluntary- participation church communities rather than unrelated hobby groups or social circles, disproportionately support effective charities and do charity and missionary work themselves, and generally have a massively positive incidental effect on the world. Whereas LGBTs tend to do no good and are obsessed with "advocacy" by spouting propaganda at other people's children, because they have none of their own. >>10756042I want to think this is high irony in that you're briefly and in meme format embodying the soul of the tacticBut I think you're actually just a smoothbrain socially conditioned to defend a dead empire LARP about without understanding while crying vaguely about rich people existing
>>10756070You're sperging about whataboutism while simultaneously attacking vaguely left-wing people by bringing up the soviet union.
>>10754284>>10755386I’m gonna go to my first con and am wearing a class 1a uniform from mha but not specifically cosplaying as a character, mainly because I’m a wig and makeup virgin newbie cosplayer and those take skills to get right. Still going, still gonna wear it as my casual cosplay and have fun
>>10756039Well duh. The current leftist movement is literally a replacement for religion. Notice how everything they do is exactly what christians and catholics did. It just goes to show that being tribal and worshiping is a natural human thing. At least with the church we had some control.
>>10756077Not that anon but I hate you casual MHA fags the most. Literally this generation's school girl uniform.
>>10755801Tell me about itEspecially out here in Commiefornia we have some disgusting ass "trans" people who are literally still musty ass dudes but with makeup, painted nails, and maybe a sun dress. Like God damn, at least try to resemble a girl or smell like one lmao
>>10756207They'll never smell like one cause pheremones are a big thing when it comes to scent from genders.
>>10756178Fuck you nigger, don’t care. Seethe more faggot.
>>10756235Shut up you casual school faggots
>>10756207This is one thing I never understood. (I know I won't find the answer here regardless) but why the fuck do some "trans" people put zero effort into presenting as the gender they claim? I understand gender is a construct, whatever, but if your dysphoria tells you you feel like a woman what does simply saying "I am a woman" change about your situation
>>10756236Whalecel coper
>>10756253The answer is simple: it changes nothing.
>>10756256>Low functioning autism gets worse>Hypersexualization, delusions and suicidal tendencies increaseSeems to change a lot, actually
>>10756075Actually I was just commenting on the irony of your reaction. Try not to get confused here.
>>10756177Catholics and evangelicals never did half of this shit that's gone on in the last hundred years in the last five hundred. Christians are incredibly tame and tolerant compared to these psychos, any time after the crusades pretty much. People just love to blame the church for things governments do while tacking on "in the name of God" to get public support whether the church supports it or not.
Femboys looking to get their asses pounded.
Is it cringey to cosplay as a taller character if I'm a manlet? I'm like 5'9 and all my favorites are always tall. Like Alucard.
>>10756253They just invent new "rules" to justify themselves instead of actually doing anything. Not like it's a uniquely trans thing either, just look at the whole "fat acceptance movement" that's really just a bunch of landwhale mental gymnastics.

>>10756412>n-no umore whataboutism from the loony right
>>10756592Do you read the posts you respond to? Actually, do you read your own posts before you submit them? This is pathetic.

>>10756599This is what happens when there is free speech. People speak out against the horrors they see in their everyday life. We are coming for you. We will destroy you. You can not run, and You can not hide. You are the minority, and will be Crushed by the majority. You are Finished.

If your fun is making annoying everyone else then I don't respect it.
>>10755811If you're on the extreme ends of the political compass you're probably an outcast. That's why you clicked with ideas outside the center. Anime, at least until very recently, same scenario. >>10757046>You also have to let enough through to apease the small number of people who get their Jimmys rustled if they aren't there.Or you can ignore said small number of people cause they can make claims but theyll never have evidence that you did it with prejudice.

>>10757145Real classical European left wing? Of course not.Judy another retarded half baked flavor of socialism. Yeah. It's in the fucking name, they didn't make a secret of it. They just LARPed as "conservative" while destroying their own native traditions. So did Stalin, in much the same way. Not that you'd know, because you just don't read. >"haha these dumb boomers think we're communists because we wear red wow they're so dumb">do the exact same shit in the exact same way except use race instead of class as your excuse>state controls everything, religion is brought to heel instead of banned outright, same difference>make a thousand promises you can't keep taking unrealistic benefits and charity for your propagandized in-group>go to war to try and fund it while internal economy is falling apart>just happen to ally with your "opposites" doing the same shit but class instead>immediately fuck it up due to mutual incompetence>fight each other to exhaustion while colonial powers and democracies hit you from the other side>rubble and starvation, saved only by the intervention and charity of your enemies>speedrun the same overall fate as the USSR, just all in wartime>haha but we were totally conservatives though look how well we upheld German traditions, those dumb cowardly boomer fake conservatives just didn't get why it was important to have the largest war ever and reduce all of our cities to rubble and set Dirlewanger looseIt was indeed one of the primary chapters in le epic socialism and its effects on the world. No more no less, and not even that unusual in its implementation.
>>10757145>NazismIsn't a thing. National Socialism is exactly what it says on the tin. They should have added something about shedding your neighbors, like calling it a proper empire, but naming their retard ideology is one of the very very few things the nazis didn't fuck up.The other one being the uniforms. Damn I wish some other group had debuted those threads.
>>10757046I don't think anybody's continued staffing this con for more than 3-4 years. It's a revolving door of petty drama. All I'd have to do to get to the top is just outlast everybody else.
>>10756979>>10757047>>10757110>>10757158>>10757161The fact is society has moved on, and your ideology is disgusting and tolerated only because the power to ban speech is too dangerous to let anyone have. But really, you are loathsome creatures who should stay away from cons and kys instead.

They happen. Get the vaccine or don't, at this point everyone who wants it has our already so it does. Not. Matter. Anymore.Just a power and politics thing now, it's sickening.
>>10758469The irony of your post in claiming someone get something to stop dying or to die anyway is like a sweet wine these days. Your non self awareness is amusing and I will continue to laugh at your kind of ilk for years to come (still alive btw).
>>10751369We have private health insurance in the United States. The cost of the vaccines were payed for with U.S. tax dollars and payed to private companies so they posted those as sales for a profit. Unless you're saying we should nationalize medicine I don't know what you gain by pointing out their profits?
>>10758513>We have private health insurance in the United States.Insurance is a socialist practice. There is nothing private about it. It comes with the same consequences of being paid by the government, except less corrupted. It has the same features of incompetence. Nationalized medicine is not the way to go. In fact, we should be going the total opposite way and allowing an entirely free market of medical solutions.
>>10758515Insurance is an essential part of a free market. People want to be insured against risks, and they are willing to pay money to make it happen. So what really are you saying? We should make health insurance illegal?
>>10758528>Insurance is an essential part of a free market. No it isn't. Insurance is anti free market.> People want to be insured against risks, and they are willing to pay money to make it happen.Insurance don't decrease risks. It increased the prices though.>So what really are you saying? We should make health insurance illegal? Most hospitals, all government ran, will not operate on you without insurance. Making insurance a necessity is a socialist practice, not a free market one. That is why also they force private medical practices to use insurance and their medical standards or else they are not considered "illegal." You have no idea how corrupt the medical industry is. There's a reason it is the most profit driven industry in the world.
>>10754172I'm ex military and love to larp and be as cringy tacticool as I can while making boogaloo jokes. Live a lil my guy
>>10758530>There's a reason it is the most profit driven industry in the world. This only applies to the US.
>>10758560Dude, the medical industry is the global top industry next to the black market. Literally all major countries are in on it. Why the fuck do you think every major medical research facility tied to the US is in ever major country? Go read up on the medical history of every top medical company and you'll realize the globalist world is ran literally by that industry. Its why covid was marketed so well. Health is the #1 topic and grossing industry in the world, and ironically has nothing to do with health.
The dudebro normies who go to "interview" people at the con but ask stupid misleading questions to make the con ppl look like dipshits. I can do that well enough on my own I dont need you to make me look stupid.
>>10758894what kind of questions? they seem normal to me
>>10758894>they start off asking innocuous questions about the con or the person's costume or whatever then throw in a horrible comment about them being ugly or sexless>the victim usually just looks around uncomfortably confused as to why they're being persecuted in public for no reasonAbsolute pieces of slime. Like you went to the weirdo-club and found weirdos, good job, fucking owned. You can tell they miss high school.

>>10758913convention hall is rightful nerd clay
>>10750606Honestly I'd rather see a good cosplayer on the guest list than an English VA
>>10758530Insurance is a means of pooling risks because people have some degree of risk aversion, and may not be able to put up huge quantities of money right at the same time they're out of work because truck-kun broke their legs. In exchange, the insurance company usually has better access to investment opportunities and credit than you do, in part because they don't actually need to keep all the money for payouts on hand at any given time, because of the random nature of claims. They also can get better rates from providers because they can negotiate with the leverage of their entire customer base. Also, I've never heard of a provider NOT taking cash. They they may charge you two arms and three legs, but they'll happily take it.
>>10759518The costs of health is up because of that pool. What's worse is what you just exposed about insurance: they're irresponsible handling of money like a bank. They are technically a bank except you have to go through conditions to get money back. This never works in a diverse system. Only in a society where everyone is the same culture. For instance, what's the point of paying insurance if I know most of the unhealthy fat fucks are using all of the money?
>>10758515>being part of government>less corrupt than privatizedSupreme jest.
>>10761467There is nothing privatized about insurance
>>10761468Please be stupid somewhere else
>>10761474No youre stupid. learn what private and social services actually mean. Construction sites bidding for government contracts is still not privatized. There I gave you a hand out, little dog.
>>10756077Honestly, as long as you seal your product and you give it your best go (including practicing application beforehand), an attempt at makeup is better than nothing. I say give it a shot if you have time.
>>10761478Oh, it's schizo hours again. Wonderful.
>>10759544>Only in a society where everyone is the same culture. >For instance, what's the point of paying insurance if I know most of the unhealthy fat fucks are using all of the money? These two are utterly incongruous statements. Even in a monoculture, there will always be someone more overweight than someone else, there will always be someone more risk-averse than someone else, and someone more prone to illness or disease than someone else. It also makes no sense, because in a society where the majority population were obese and highly unhealthy, you'd still more than likely have a similar culture between them. You're describing a state of clones rather than having "the same culture".
>>10763209>. Even in a monoculture, there will always be someone more overweight than someone elseWhich they either get exiled or shamed for to improve>there will always be someone more risk-averse than someone elsealso shamed and exiled>and someone more prone to illness or disease than someone elseKept away from productive activities as any sane society should do.> It also makes no sense, because in a society where the majority population were obese and highly unhealthy, you'd still more than likely have a similar culture between themGood thing Im talking about a typical healthy society made of one culture (japanese, russian, europe).
>>10750971Another cringey thing at cons and everywhere:>people not realizing that a single, 99% rate-of-sucess layer of protection in a place with 10000 people means an average of 100 people whose protection has not worked, and complains about being told to use a second layer of protectionSeriously. Are you THAT bad at math?
>>10752744i-i need the thread
This is one of the most cringe requests I've ever seen from a cosplayer. Have fun meeting her at DoKomi.
>>10770146>THAT GUY playing completely inappropriate stuff on a speakerMusic itself is not the issue. Like, Street Fighter theme while dressed as Guile? Cool. Just blaring death metal or ranchera cause you can? No. Going with Japanese stuff also seems obvious but somehow isn't. Like, gatekeeping a hobby feels retarded until the outsiders are getting mad that it isn't to their liking (i.e. overhearing a guy just last night saying "Why are they playing this? I wanna go hard.") Generic club shit is anywhere, yet going with something different and thematically relevant is an issue? Appealing to the lowest common denominator never works.
>>10770146Jesus Christ. Don't even bother talking to her, that's some real diva shit. She should just have big burly security with her and do a formal meet in the flesh along with her vtuber one, at this point. That's a lot going to her head for the least subbed myth member too
>>10758515Holy shit you are dumb
>>10770146kek that's fucking pathetic
>>10770146Someone should take the bonk and post it over in /vt. I'm currently banned.
>>10770146A lot of her fans are autistic, so clearly defined rules are probably for the best
>>10770146I can understand not wanting to always be bothered by fans, but rattling off a list of instructions for people is egotistical and pretensious as fuck. This bitch should be glad anyone would even WANT to meet her.>>10770318Forming such rules in the first place is autistic. Most cosplays that are far more popular than her have no problem dealing with fans. If you don't want to be bothered by somebody there's a million ways for you to politely tell them.
>>10770333She came to her senses and is gonna get a booth next year. You can pay 50 bucks to meet her and get signed glossy, while her giant bouncers stare daggers at your frail otaku frame.

>>10772496Really? Because I know at least 10 non famous women irl that are considerably more attractive than her. She must have a great personality on her YouTube.
>>10751153>>10751154Unfortunately it's usually a requirement of the venue or even the city when they make you mask up again.Being angry about some staffer telling you to wear a mask is like being angry at a waiter that your food is taking a long time.
>>10780917>Unfortunately it's usually a requirement of the venue or even the cityNo it absolutely is not anymore. Maybe in some poz shithole like c*Lifornia but that's it
>>10780917>Unfortunately it's usually a requirement of the venue or even the city when they make you mask up again.Except this is false since most places are unmasked. This is entirely usually the con's fault.
Bumping for>No anime/Japanese stuff allowed at karaoke>Cheap MIDI instrumentals for karaoke>Everyone wants to sing some tedious dirgeI'm gonna take a wild guess and say there are no copyright lawyers in the audience at any of these events.
>>10787040what kind of cheapass cons are you going to?
>>10787042Refusing to let people sing anything outside the pre-designated "Karafun" playlist is actually far more common at big ones. Also to add another, though it's more incompetence than cringe>No visual aid, forcing people to either face a projector away from the audience or their phoneThis was never a problem when I first started attending. Now it's almost all of them.
>>10753145Weirdly enough my experience of con security has been guys in extremely crisp suits who at first glance I thought were like James Bond or Agent 47. They always look way too professional for a random con.
>>10754172Despite what you say, I see a lot of girls go up to the guys in this gear and take pictures with them. Maybe they're on to something that women like being around guys who look like they can protect them. They do the same to cops, too.
>>10788119While I do agree, there's an important takeaway from the message you replied to (which I hadn't noticed because it got filtered)>You're just being a chudThat, combined with the catty tone means it's some on-edge lardass who sees the world through the lens of Twitter i.e. not worth talking to, let alone trying to persuade.
>>10751141>Kamuii actually got to see her at yeticon 2019. it was pretty nice, and one of the few rare cosplay guests that isnt a waste of time. i even waited in line to get a seat at her panel because almost half the con wanted to see her.
>>10750606>newbie girlfriend of "celebrity" lolita as guest
>>10787040Gonna keep my music theme going, even if it's not something exclusive to conventions>Person outside blaring club stuff on a giant speaker>Everyone's standing aroundIf they weren't feeling it the first time, they're not going to after the fifth. Best tip I can offer on that front is either ease them into it with something slow and gradually up the tempo or just go have it running with mood-appropriate stuff in the background, which can actually be quite nice. If done wrong (most times), it's a painfully awkward clash.
>>10792495Im really getting tired of simps encouraging this shit.
>>10792498>having to pay to touch a fatty's breastfucking kek
>>10792495>>10792498>>10792499Damn, straight up solicitation. I wonder how much actual prostitution goes on at cons?
>>10751391The problem is from the ones I’ve been at it’s more just an opportunity for the people running the panel to cry and tell their life stories rather than a debate or actual critical discussion. If it became a shit show debate between lgbt tumbler and /pol/ instead of just saying ‘it’s good because’ it’d be funny to watch. There’s little to no justification or useful information or even cringe entertainment factor.
>>10792495Saw this kinda shit at a few cons. Do people actually pay for this unironically?
>>10751391Welcome to global homo subversion, there are people that are PAYED to bring this shit into any hobbies and niches they can find.
>>10793027Yes they do. Lots of men desperate for female affection.
>>10792495>>10792498>>10792499Why isnt this banned? I thought cons universally cracked down on the FREE HUGS and related sign stuff years ago; this just seems an extension of that
>>10794914Women are doing it so it's fine. I know, double standards.
>>10758894What about dudebro normies (bonus points if they preempt with how they're "weebs") that go to cons to "prank" congoers that involves humiliating them over their cosplay or lifestyle. Or by harassing congoers with "pranks."
>>10750971I just don't go anywhere that requires vax and/or mask.I don't give a shit if it works or not I'm not wearing a mask in a hot and humid building with circulated air like an anime con.If other people want to wear it fine but I'm not going to wear it.
>>10751154Wasn't there some American con that demanded masks despite the venue not giving a shit?
>>10792495I haven't seen that shit here yet but I fucking hope it gets banned preemptively.I'd rather deal with yaoi paddles over this horny simping bullshit.>>10793027simps will always pay
>>10794966Most venues right now dont care. It's entirely the cons pushing for it (otakon and others in multiple states). All these anime con staff are big pharma shills. I cant even call them leftists. They literally are just trendy virtue signallers who likely never ran a treadmill.
>>10794966That is literally all of them and that becomes abundantly clear when you notice people with uniforms from the center itself aren't masking. Only when you pay these shit heel convention owners does it become a problem. Funny how that works.
