Bought a big haul of some sex pot stuff (about 60,000 yen) since they had some good sales, will post a mini review for some gulls when it arrives. I used Zenmarket since sex pot doesn’t allow foreign cards, otherwise I would have used my tenso.

As a FYI, Algonquins does allow foreign cards!

Update on sex pot haul: everything is perfect. I got a lot of the oversized things because I prefer the baggy look. The custom sarouel pants are badass, comfortable, and are very easy to wear regardless of size. I think they go from like 60cm - 120cm waist.

Only thing that didn’t fit me well was a jacket that was a part of their “underground room” so only available to online shoppers or those at the Tokyo store. I have broad shoulders as a dude so I’m not surprised, but I’m capable of cutting my weight down to properly wear it.

They also included a free shopping bag. Anyway 10/10 would definitely buy more.

No, I'm too lazy and you're apparently really bad at googling.
Stop relying on the absolute top layer of the surface web. Look at actual sites instead of just Google image results. There's a fb bpn account, tags on tumblr, Tokyo fashion, probably insta, etc. None of which will be indexed on Google images.
Also, even looking at Google image results if you JUST type in "black peace now" a fuck ton comes up so idk what you're doing wrong desu.

not a gyaru, just noticing
this looks like it has a little overlap with scene. It's funny how very different styles can have similarities. Before you ask it's the hair & collar.
>>
>>10735734
anon, you must not have lived that generation. no scene girl was wearing those collars in the US. scene was colorful.

also another classic example of zoomers talking about fashions (gyaru, scene) that they don't know shit about. love how vocal ya'll are.

NTA but you must be pretty young thinking that because emo really didn't look anything like scene, you might as well say emo and goth are the same thing.
>>
>>10739620
Ok so nobody asked for this but I’m going to provide an answer from the perspective of someone genuinely involved in these communities in the 00s. emo came from the indiekid look of the late nineties (skinny jeans, big belts, striped tops, the iconic hair) mixed with elements of goth (androgyny, dark colours, emotional and often melodramatically dark music) - scene came later and definitely had emo inspiration but was also influenced by punk and gyaru with its bright colors, huge hair, tutus and accessories (and cartoon characters and Japanese influences like hello kitty). Scene music was usually more electronic. An indiekid playlist would be more likely to contain bright eyes and lavender diamond, an emo would have my chemical romance and hawthorne heights, scene was more likely to be a lot more sexual in themes with more techno influence, see blood on the dance floor and brokencyde. All the subcultures were closely related and often resided on MySpace, but they definitely weren’t the same.
>>
>>10739670
dropped image but here’s an example of scene vs emo - they weren’t that similar. but it’s not wrong to point out similarities between scene and gyaru
>>
>>10739620
they literally look the same minus the colors. same makeup, same clothing styles, same haircuts. and emo/scene girls used the terms interchangeable as well.
>>
>>10739685
the music influence is totally different , emo is based on western goth where scene takes way more influence from j-goth, you really must be both blind and retarded to not see the clear difference. even the makeup styles are totally different. and emo girls hate being called scene, you've never met one or you'd know that so please shut the fuck up about shit you don't know.
>>
>>10739689
there's no difference in music you retard. holy shit i hate children.
>>
Scene and emo being the same has been a meme forever. They are barely real fashions to begin with, considering both of them started as insults towards posers. I'm in my 30s so I know firsthand. If crazy wk anon is actually older, chances are she's scene still(and therefore autistic)
>>
>>10739690
lmao, I am literally 30 years old. they have some similar sounds, scream influence is common in both but scene music is electronic focused, emo music is "traditionally goth" and theatrical. blood on the dance floor vs mcr is a very clear cut example of this.
>>
>>10739685
>they literally look the same minus the colors
By your logic lolita and gyaru look the same too.
>>
>>10739692
>being 30s
>thinking emo started as insult for posers
Ah yes, Emocore bannds and their fans started calling themself emo in the 80s because they thought of themself as posers, right.
>>
>>10735833
What are you talking about? There was a stark difference in scene and emo people back in the mid 2000s. In fact, the name scene came to be because people would come to hardcore shows just to party, wear bright colors, and ignore most of the subcultures unwritten rules. Obviously most hardcore fans were not happy with this so they started calling attention grabbing posers as "scene". The emo subculture evolved in parallel and was its own branch of punk music. Of course since both genres kind of peaked in popularity around the same time a lot of people dabbled in both communities, hence why as time went on the styles and music did have influence on each other. However, emo looks majority of the time were way more toned down. It included side swept bangs, dark natural hair colors, hoodies, black tees, converse, and skinny jeans. It was also less about how you looked and more music based. Scene on the other hand was more fashion based and the music evolved to be more electronic. It included big teased hair, wild hair dye patterns, neon colors, hello kitty, more skimpy outfits, sharp brows, and whatever was big on myspace at the time. In addition, growing up it always felt like the scene community was mostly composed of popular weird kids, while the emo community tended to attract outcasts and you saw a lot of lone emos. To your average prep though, they were interchangeable but so were goths, rivet heads, and metal heads at the time.
>>
>>10739707
plus, not all the music had screaming in it, i.e. not screamo...
>>
>>10739693
>emo music is "traditionally goth"
Why did you have to insult goth rock like this

Has anyone bought from ACDC rag recently? I made about a $300ish order from them this month and everything got here to the US pretty fast, but the quality of the clothes feel very thin and plasticly. I had a snap on a detachable strap already pop off after taking it off twice. Luckily it was an easy fix, but I cant help to feel pretty disappointed. I'm not expecting anything amazing for fast fashion prices, but still I feel like the quality is a lot worse than most of their western alt fashion counter parts at a similar price point.
>>
>>10741265
sounds about right, ACDC rag quality is crap. Wish the western community wouldn't support they so hard. Their clothes literally feel and look like trashbags

Eh like 10 years ago I would have agreed, but most things in Japan have not gone up in price the last decade. They pretty much don't have inflation. Plus, it's not like I haven't bought nicer items from Japan at a similar price point. I'm just surprised by how plasticky and thin their clothes are, and how I've never seen bad reviews from them before.
>>
>>10741283
>and how I've never seen bad reviews from them before
they used to sell on amazon (japanese one, that is) for a while and everything had so many reviews quit it again, so I guess it's because they are mainly sold on platforms where you can't leave reviews

how do yo ueven go about estimating sizes for this stuff when you're a western man (i'm 178cm tall, reasonably broad chest)? is it just trial and error? i guess i wear a men's large in america..
>>
>>10745664
AYRT. Get a sewing tape measure and measure yourself. All JP sizes are in cm so keep that in a file on your computer so you can reference it easily. Even if you’re chubby you can fit the stuff, there are some big guys wearing sexpo and ACDC rag on IG. Go for anything oversized, especially shirts since you’re tall and likely have a long torso compared to JP men.

Secondhand market for these brands is garbage online, especially in the west, so I recommend saving up and doing a haul to minimize savings costs.

Sorry if someone already asked that, but any ideas where I could get good quality clothing to build some ouji outfits that could pass as daily fits ?. I'm really looking for solid stuff, good materials.

Jamie ANK would have some unisex pieces that could fit ouji, beyond that there is only the usual brands like h. NAOTO and Deorart.

Jamie ANK is exactly what I was looking for, thanks you anon.

I remember some seagulls complaining about them not getting enough love by Sanrio so I thought people would like that collab.

No release date yet tho.

I'm doing research on shamate fashion,
I was wondering if some anons could help me. I'm trying to know more about it's roots and social impact on the migrant worker statut in China. Also some picture would be super usefull. Any informations even in chinese is great !
I hope it's not too offtopic even tho it's chinese

Anons I'm sick of squinting in the sun and I'd like to find a really decorative pair of sunglasses to wear with gothic outfits but I can't seem to find anything. Does anyone have recs of where to look? I don't mind paying a few hundred dollars for something with a cool design.

A nice room decor brand is Virtu More, but it's definitely decadent goth rather than punk.
