the way that I had to make this thing twice cause I didn't get the captcha right, but like wtf is this even
>>10629861 What happend to this link? Am I the only one not seeing the photos anymore?
>>10643901no, it was definitely cleared out for some reason. i tried downloading it the other day as a zip to see if the site was just spazzing and the folder's empty.
>>10643907My guess is "lolita" triggered some mod on imgur. Keep in mind all sites are moderated. But, damn. They really had to go and delete everything. Maybe it got a bunch of reports for the name or it triggered an auto moderation. Not sure.
>>10643901>>10643907>>10643908fuck thats so sad I didn’t have the time to look at it yet and now it’s all gone
>>10643901>>10643907>>10643922I have it downloaded, where should I upload it for everyone?
>>10644484I'd say Mega is a good option, that way it can be easily downloaded by others
Anyways what's helping yall survive this heat in lolita? I'm sticking to pieces with built in petticoats for the hotter days.
>>10644574 hair up, no petti, thin cotton ops, skipping legwear for more 90s looks, parasol
Would dr martens look okay with old school? They are my go to shoe for normie fits, since they're so comfortable and all my lolita shoes fit pretty horrible like I can't wear those out while doing actual things haha
>>10646361I recommend getting some mary jane dr martens in a dark brown rather than black if you wear classic or sweet leaning old school. Gothic I couldn't tell you
>>10646361not a cute look (or a matter of taste I suppose?) if you ask me, unless they're the really high ones or maryjanes like the other anon said
I know this is literally two years old, but in one Old Media thread some anon asked for the gyaru youtube channel TokyoMoEStyle, who turned out to be country-restricted on the entire world.Somehow, it is completely unlocked now.
>>10646361I think dr martens like these would work. The non-boot platform style ones
>>10644484Please upload it, anon
Even uglier art then before. I'm impressed
>>10646361I just got picrel. They got broken in so quickly and are comfy and let your feet breathe. I wear sweet but have a lot of black in my wardrobe and would feel confident wearing them with more casual coords.
>>10646440Why tf don't they do a Moitie blue colour? That pink is ugly and out of place. And why the loong rapper Tshirt? I swear, they shot themselves in the foot every time. Hope they just go bankrupt and stop their tacky passion project.
>>10646451I think these ones would also work, it's a shame that they don't sell actual Mary Janes
>>10646452>loong rapper Tshirtt shirt dresses/oversized tees are a thing and this looks like comfy pajamas or casual wear. reminds me of sexpot revenge tops that are all so fucking long.
>>10646440The thing is, I feel like no one wants random printed t shirts... lolitas want actual lolita fashion. I just don't get the hype for this kind of thing. It's not even lolita-inspired loungewear or some other cute style... it's just generic tshirts/hoodies etc.
>>10643900ADNMMez stuff bro, it's just the sliders that are a bit queasy
>>10646440the art would be much cuter if she stopped slapping it on the cheapest tshirt she can get her hands on. friends don’t put friends art on their worst products
>>10646454They do (or did); you can still get them vintage
>>10646691I hate the new captcha thing
>>10646361the ones on the right have a really taobao look to themalso maybe going with monochrome ones would be a good choiceanyone's got some cool less common/irregular footwear inspo?
>>10646484But the vintage ones hare hard to find honestly
>>10646739they're actually fairly common on the secondhand market but a lot of people are interested in them
>>10646740I find them pretty often on eBay
>>10646739Old things are hard to find, water is wet
Does anyone have any recs for bags that can be used everyday with more casual old school coords?
If you don't wear a full latex catsuit you aren't old school
>>10647235Brand tote bags and the Milk heart shaped bag
>>10647238agreedPerhaps adding to this, I prefer square-shaped bags (like picrel) for everyday wear because they usually have a simple, non-distracting design pand are quite spaciousOn the note of totebags, it doesn't have to be a brand tote, you could also try to decorate/diy a plain one given you know what you're doing.
>>10647271I saw someone sew lace in the shape of a cross to a black tote bag which I thought was a cute idea
>>10646440I think the print is kind of cute, but I do agree with >>10646462. The designer is capable but everything they have recently released is kind of tacky and it pisses me off I have faith they got some better stuff in the futureWPK4P
>>10646440Lmao this is so low effort, literally just reselling their 5 minute doodle on a teespring shirt.
>>10646454these look like the shoes schoolchildren wear in my country. i never want to wear these again in my entire life.
>>10646454>>10646451I'd rather someone wear the boots than these ngl
>>10646440WTF is happening with this indie brandI know the owner knows what old school is, and what lolita is, and what lolitas want, and this shit is so not it...
>>10646440But why don't they at least print this stuff on cute lacy cutsews or something? These items can't even be worn in a lolita coord
>>10647727She’s got those “how to turn tshirts into cutsew” tutorials, I don’t get why she doesn’t just buy the bulk tshirts cheap and altar them to look like a cutsew. It doesn’t seem like it’ll be hard for her
Does Maxicimam ever go on summer sale ? I love their designs but I'm hesitant on dropping 100+ bucks on a blouse of a brand I never saw worn irl.
>>10646440You know, if she just bought shirts with designs printed on them, then DIY altered them into cute cutsews, it would be way better than... whatever kind of boring, nonlolita stuff this is. she would probably even get more sales, especially from the old school people that she tries to cater to.
>>10647763I've never seen them go on sale ever, at least they don't on cdjapan
>>10647773I don't check things enough to see if there are sales but they have their own website separate from CDJapan; you can always Check their main site and see if items are discounted or a sale is listed, and use a SS to buy direct from there.
>>10647772>if she just bought shirts with designs printed on them, then DIY altered them into cute cutsews, it would be way betterThis. I could buy a plain tshirt anywhere. We want cutsews.
>>10647772I'd blame it on laziness because altering normie shirts into cutsews is extra work - although she knows how to do it, she just doesn't for some reason
>>10647791>>10647824Why would she get plain t-shirts with designs printed and then alter them all rather than get a custom printed cutsew made? Or making cutsews from scratch herself since she's used to handling the labor and then getting those printed (any local print shop can do that for single color print, just gotta call around for minimums and prices)?I get the sentiment that they'd work better as actual cutsews than t-shirts but production wise (and ethics-wise, considering RRM has a slant toward sustainability and junk), it makes more sense to make the shirts herself and print it herself or have a local shop do it. Screenprinting is super easy but ink disposal/cleanup may be complicated in a domestic environment like her home so outsourcing just the printing part makes the most sense rather than having a t shirt made just to cut it up.
This brand just keeps on getting more hilariously terrible. A shame since she can clearly make actual nice things, she just chooses not to for some reason.
>>10648905What's with those god awful edits they've been doing recently? Not the best idea to use your ugly friend as a model if you want to sell something as tacky as a leather mini hat either
>>10648905ig they're trying to be a bit tacky on purpose with their promo images to emulate that "old glb ad vibe" and I don't really mind it but that tinty hat just looks funny in a clown kind of way
>>10648915It’s not even good at being that
>>10648905The brand seems to just be going downhill fast since she joined itShe seems to have the taste of those crazy homeless hoarder ladies so no wonder
>>10647840Because most places that screenprint shit only have shitty products. Plus, it is super rare to find actual cutsews from anything not brand. Even indie brand shit looks bad when it is marketed as a cutsew. Like those ugly things from lors dance company, and the ugly bodyline -cutsews- that everyone wears.
>>10648905That ladys skin looks super ashy and chalky and gross, guessing that is why they made a weird edit to cover it... cant really see the product because of it though... makes more sense to put the weird filter over the non-product pictures.
>>10648939That doesn't answer the question though. If all screenprinters have shitty products, that's all the more reason for her to handmake the cutsews BEFORE they get printed on rather than altering low quality t shirts into cutsews. It's honestly much easier to make a bunch of items in bulk from scratch than to alter a bunch of t shirts in bulk. The suggestion to alter those t shirts into cutsews is weird from a production standpoint; it'd make far more sense to simply make the cutsews from good material and then pay a place to print on them (and you might even get a better deal per unit since you're bringing the shirts rather than having to buy them marked up from the print shop.
>>10648905Literally all I want is for them to restock the shit they already put out like the socks, why do they keep doing this hot garbage.
I dug my lolita stuff from 15 years ago out of storage and was very dismayed to find that my ballet style RHS have fallen apart. Antaina doesn't sell this style. Anyone know where to buy a new pair, other than from VW?
>>10649084aliexpress has bodyline RHS
>>10648905Whenever I see this person they look crazier than the last time
>>10648905This brand has turned into replica central holy moly
requesting old school coord inspo with coats/outerwear arigato in advance
>>10648905Is that Venus Angelics mom?
>>10649562How is it a replica?
>>10649631Spica currently has hats almost exactly like these in stock on their storefront right now
>>10648905what brand? i don't seem to follow this one on ig
>>10649641Can you post a link?
>>10649077anon it seems like theyre having some fun doing what they want with their brand instead of trying to please cranky old schoolers
I woke up early for the rrm drop and half the stock is shitty gravelet jewelry
>>10649763God, I know. Why do they colab with her? All she does is put gems on shitty Chinese base necklaces. Groundbreaking. So oldschool.
>>10649567some more outerwear
>>10649782sorry it's all rather gothic
>>10649748>>10649779many thanks anon(s) this summer heat has been getting me down
>>10649763 did anyone manage to get anything? I got one of the ops, the first time I've managed to buy something before it all sells out
>>10649777Him. I don’t like the guy, but it doesn’t cost you anything not to misgender him.
Ngl I'm starting to get annoyed at this bidder for bidding so high every time in the first days Jesus Christyes I am a poorfag ranting about her having money too, but every old school dress I click on I see her bidding like 300+
>>10649763the amount he charges is insane to me, especially when the resin is all over the frame, sometimes has hair in it, sometimes isn’t even fully evenly dispersed through the frame… i see much better jewellery makers woefully underprice themselves whilst he asks quite a lot for really subpar stuff.
>>10649818nta but i agree with anon though, its the same bidder that was claiming the babydoll dress a while ago, she really gets on my nerves
>>10649815It’s literally not made up, “him” is an existing pronoun? idk, I just think there’s ways to critique somebody without diminishing your argument by being an arsehole.
>>10649818Lmao at least they’re honest kek
>>10649823I didn’t even want that dress lol, just saying that if you start claiming dresses before the bidding is over you’re annoying
>>10649826Do realize im not the op of the screenshot?I have enough money lmao, and even if I didn’t, I did not say anything about the money part anyways? So why call me a poorfag, or are you just projecting nonnie
I don’t know why RRM girl doesn’t just make more of the skirts, headbows and bloomers that made everybody interested in the brand in the first place. This new restock is really underwhelming, and at a significantly higher price point. The bloomers from past releases were cuter and more reasonably priced, and way more popular. This new stuff isn’t really doing anything for me. RRM releases used to be bloodbaths.
>>10649814>>10649821nayrt but you're making a big deal out of someone referring to a brand as them instead of knowing it's just a he. no big deal. we can move on.
>>10649841No I’m not? They literally referred to him as “her”?
>>10649842it's okay, please stop derailing the thread
>>10649837The apron was a nice idea however there were some design flaws. Completely agree with you on the skirts though. I just want a couple of them in different colors for daily wear.
>>10649763does anybody even buy it?
>>10649821>>10649814No one fucking cares. We're not trying to get brownie points with troons. They are NOT one of us.
>>10649747They're not gonna last long then, they went from everyone being desperate to get their shit to absolutely no one wanting it.
>>10649858>The apron was a nice idea however there were some design flawsWhat were the flaws?
>>10649837I felt underwhelmed by it too. Everything I was interested in seemed to be priced unreasonably high. Like I'm not paying 100€ for some bloomers. But seems like people are buying it so good for them ig
>>10649898besides being a jane marple replica? idk
>>10650059I wouldn’t call it a replica, it does look like she drew some inspiration from it but it’s not a replica.
>>10650092boohoo lol, it's 4chan
>>10650092and misogyny, homophobia, racism, discrimination,.. sadly nothing new here
>>10650092Transgenderism isn't real. We rather help them by not feeding their delusions>>10650096Go back to facebook if you can't handle peoples' honest opinions. This is an anonymous image board
>>10649641>>10650081is it possible that they got the patterns for these items from glbs? I'm not aware of all patterns ever included there but if that's the case, their items are not /quite/ to be considered replicas right?
>>10650102I'm not going to indulge in another person's fetish.
>>10650102youre never going to change their minds its a waste of time and energy i get that it’s frustrating but if you want to enjoy your time on this board youre gonna have to learn to ignore it
>>10650098Im >>10650096I don't use Facebook, literally just pointing it out since the other anon said there is transphobia hereI meant it like yeah and so is all this, there is nothing we can do about itI can handle peoples' honest opinions kek, otherwise I wouldn't be here
>>10650092>having this argument in the oldschool thread of all placesthis is why lol, can't go nowhere without needing to coddle the poor widdle tranny. go away
>>10650109They're literally all fujoshis who have been told it's problematic for them to get off to yaoi as a straight cis woman lol
>>10650101You can't sell items made with GLB patterns
>>10650126Glb doesn’t make the patterns the brands do. As well the people involved are all on the fashion still. It’s scummy if true
>>10650130Just because the brands aren't going to go after her for it doesn't mean it's okay to pass off other people's designs as her own...
>>10650144Oh fuck is this for real how can someone look at that and think it looks good enough to sell, i’m crying lol
>>10650137She isn't copying designs though. A similar design isn't a copy.
okay but design copies or not, is her stuff worth the price tag? i was excited for this drop then saw how expensive most of it was in comparison to stuff from the last release.
Quick unboxing pic but I just got this OP from Little Bear on taobao— and I’m decently surprised! It’s cotton with torchon lace throughout. And detachable sleeves! Just sharing as I recall some anons asking about taobao old school style a few threads back
>>10650144I'm not meaning to defend anyone but it looks like hand-embroidered work on jersey fabric. Of course, this would have been much better if it was machine embroidered and not looking puckered af but this just seems like a lack of experience desu.
What do we think about Good*Luck anons? Also thoughts on Garaus and Milky Ange older stuff?
>>10650292>but this just seems like a lack of experienceI'd hope that someone running a business would have some experience in the thing they're asking money for
>>10649816Didn't she beg people to buy her stuff because her bunnies were dying or some shit? Gross get over your shopping addiction.
>>10650322She was also crying about the recent incident on her stories. Posting about how cgl was full of boolies, and then her drama with that Juju girl when she called her out. She even tagged Juju in it like some psycho.
>>10650290Was this a preorder? Looks lovely!Slightly OT, but does anyone know where the parasol in picrel is from? I'm assuming another Chinese brand
>>10650290Damn, that looks really good. I haven't bought from Taobao in years but I think I'll keep an eye on this brand as long as secondhand prices for old school are still sky high.
>>10650433https://item.taobao.com/item.htm?spm=2013.1.w4023-10469671679.4.69052f68Sl1Hgk&id=570038375741here u go :]
>>10650322oh what the fuck
>>10650309sorry I'm so bad at Taobao, but which dress is it? or was it a preorder or something? I can't find it bc I don't have an acc either lmao
>>10650451Tysm anon! Going to get one next time I make an order
>>10649837I agree. I think the reason the prices are higher is because of the sustainability factor though. It makes me sad. She could do so much better I know she can.
>>10650290 oh damn, I pre-ordered that but mine hasn't come in yet. I'm super excited about it now, it looks good
Jfc jannys, you couldnt even leave that spica link up?
>>10650744It's still up, nonny >>10649746
>>10650506I could understand the dresses etc costing more on the sustainability front but £95 for bloomers seems a bit much, even for “sustainable” clothing.
>>10646440The tote bag is really the only thing I would ever buy and every time I go to checkout I realize I can just make one at home
>>10650462It was a preorder, so they might have leftovers up soon. I’ll keep an eye on their weibo
anyone know what brand the skirt / necklace is? it's an interesting motif, i've tried searching the library but not found anything
>>10650290oh god maybe i will learn to use taobao
>>10649816cannot fathom a reason why you'd bid on anything with multiple days to go so many people start bidding as soon as something is listed it makes me so mad everytime WHYYY
>>10650935nervous bidding and low impulse control
>>10650930if you can't find a single trace, chances are it's handmade or by a brand that's been dead for a long time - good luck though, because I have no idea either
>>10650930Jane marple, that skirt regulary pops up second hand
>>10650930iirc both are from jane marple
>>10649816>>10649825>>10650935I'm a snipe bidder but there are reasons why people do this. Sometimes people PM the seller and try to work out a BIN while the auction's still active and if there are already bids on it the seller is less likely to give it to them. Also sometimes LM goes down while an auction is about to end, so they could be trying to prevent losing out by bidding early.
>>10650930Can confirm they’re both Jane Marple to the text on the bottom left. I’ve attached a larger version of the scan for you.
What year do y'all consider the cut off for old-school? Just curious to know what people think.
>>10650966For me personally it's 2005 at the latest. Everything past that is this weird transitional period, most main pieces from which I wouldn't wear or consider old school
>>10650966I would say 2006, it’s the year where some releases are still recognisably oldschool, and some are more modern-ish. But any later than that, I don’t consider to be actual oldschool. The amount of people I’ve seen push the cutoff point all the way to 2010 is insane…
>>10650966there’s a girl in my comm who likes to wear “transitional period” lolita and she seems to go for stuff mostly from 2006 and later so i always thought of 05/06 as the cut off because of her
>>10650948>>10650949>>10650961oh shit thank you that makes sense actually it has the feeling of JM of that era, it did remind me of the jm jsk with the alice + rabbit lace a little
>>10650503Is the parasol even available? It looks like the items that have this picture on the taobao shop are the listings for the OP.
>>10650958>Sometimes people PM the seller and try to work out a BIN while the auction's still active and if there are already bids on it the seller is less likely to give it to them. I've done this before actually and pm'ed a seller of what was a wishlist of mine a BIN suggestion which they politely declined because another bidder appeared before they got to open my message. Because both I and the other bidder were desperate and smooth-brained, we ended up driving the price up by bidding against each-other just 2 days into the auction. I still ended up winning the auction but it was an utter bloodbath in the final minutes and I simply could've not bid this whole time. Because I started bidding so early, I felt like I had to keep an eye on it all the time when I just could've tuned in for the last 10 minutes of the auction which is indeed the wiser, more controlled approach.
>>10651099*a wishlist item
>>10651064it's available through the link the other anon posted
