Contest edition. With everybody finally getting their damn vaccinations, and with the world slowly opening back up from the plague, it's time to start plotting for social diversion. In effort to get them all rolling, I want you to post a picture of what you have planned for your next excursion.Got new coord ready to go or in progress?Planning for lawn games like graces or croquet?Trying a new recipe to share with friends?Practicing your fencing for a duel to the death with someone who called you ita?Post it all here!Rules are simple: simply post a picture of your new recipe/coord/tea set whatever with a timestamp, or post your favorite pictures of the last tea party or picnic you attended. Also be sure to send a copy to my email at screwloosecircus at gmail dot com. A winner will be selected on June 30th, and will win a new copy of Laura Martin's "A History of Tea" and some other posh goodies.
This is so nice. Cool initiative OP! (I'm not being naive and this is a real thing right?)
>everybody finally getting their damn vaccinations>tfw you're in asia and your country still hasn't rolled out vaccinations properlyAlso please don't namefag especially with such a cringey name.
>>10629677>tfw you're in latin america and chaos is the new stabilityI feel your pain
>>10629677Found the tourist. Welcome newfag.
>>10629671100% real. Feel free to dig through the archives for other contests I have held.>>10629677Oh anon, sweetie...>>10629682Everyone starts somewhere. They will learn eventually.
>>10629677>>10629679Seems kinda samefaggy.
>>10629689Nah, I'm >>10629679 and >>10629671
>>10629700Except not? Gropes is one of the only decent oldfags here.
>>10629706At least they are doing something different instead of adding randons to the ita thread or posting "hot" takes kek
>>10629706>Doesn't know Gropey or /cgl/board cultureYou can be as wrong as you want as loud as you want but are still an obvious newfag.
omfg >>10629677 was already cringey enough, but >>10629706 just takes the newfaggery to a whole new levelI'm glad you've stuck around despite this happening every time you post, Gropey
There's only six posters in this thread. Smells like a circlejerk.
>>10629700>>10629706You don't have to participate, anon. It's ok.>>10629708>>10629710>>10629726Don't sweat it. Some people just like to make fools of themselves.
>>10629733Check the IPs. The anticlown anon is posting the most.
>>10629735You're right. I checked their IP. They're a jelly hater.
>>10629735How do you even do that?
>>10629875nayrt but search for "4chan tricks"
bless you, gropey.
burn the clown and his field of edible flowers
I am about to move, but once that is over this sounds fun. I'll try to put something together.
I don't have any pics, but I made seitan and I was thinking about trying to make some tasty things for vegans. For the next picnic, I was thinking of doing a sandwich station.
>>10630011I highly recommend vegan cucumber or chickpea salad sandwiches with a lot of colorful veggies for ones that feel like tea sandwiches and will look nice and pretty when cut diagonal.
>>10629875There's an add-on for Firefox and Chrome that you literally just download. >>10629895Honk honk>>10629906>>10630011>>10630018Make it happen! I'd love to see!
>>10630018I love tea sandwiches, but they're so much last minute prep I think they're easier for smaller groups. I was thinking more like bringing proteins, toppings, and some spreads. That way, whatever your dietary needs or tastes, you can have something. Things like onion jam, roasted tomatoes, grilled chicken or pork, grilled veggies, etc.
>>10630037>There's an add-on for Firefox and Chrome that you literally just download.I learned something today.Pic isn't mine but fits the thread. Thanks Gropey.
>>10630702They look delicious! What a cute idea :)
>>10630702This is adorable and very portable if you were to close the envelope
>>10630706that would just be a regular danish you fucking retard.
>>10630728But with a cute heart. You would want the filling to not get all over the place if you were packing for a picnic.
>>10630728It looks like a pie crust, not puff pastry. Would hardly call a hand/mini pie a danish. The point of the envelope is that it looks cutesy, and the main thing doing that is the heart cutout on it, not whether it's special or unique in any other way.Take your unnecessary negativity elsewhere or share some fun recipes or other on topic stuff rather than whining.
>>10630738it is pie crust, and it's really easy to make. i want to make some now!https://lizbushong.com/cherry-pie-pastry-envelope/
>>10630760You're retarded for not hiding the thread.
>>10630760As are you, new friend.
>>10629902>his field of edible flowersI typically wouldn't respond to souphitposts but I need some explantation of this.
>>10630774probs has to do with tea (edible flowers, the op)
>>10630760Sounds like something a retard would say.Post cakes.
>>10629667This is such a cute idea! Do illustrations count? I've been meaning to make a washi tape themed around teas and tea sets, could send the layered PSD as proof that it's my art whenever I'm done with it.
In my country the pandemic is virtually over. But there's no community to meet up with and I'm too old and busy to gather people.Lonelita life
I’m vaccinated and desperate to have a meetup. I haven’t had one since last April. My garden is doing great this year and I’d love to make some candied violets with what I’ve grown and make some fancy baked goods. Even if it’s just a handful of people, I want to chill with people in person again. >Pic related, one of my violet beds plus some shit I might wear to a garden tea party if I ever get around to hosting one.
>>10631106Beautiful flowers. Also love your necklace, where'd you buy it?
>>10631119It’s from AatP. I bought it a while ago so I don’t think it’s in stock anymore, but they re-release similar necklace fairly often.
>>10631121Thanks, I'll keep that one in mind when I try to make a fancy coord
>>10630011Vegan carrot cake is super easy to make and might be a nice dessert. I can toss down a favored recipe if you want
>>10631155i'd like to see it if you have the time, anon.I'm a lonelita, but this time of year i find myself wanting a com, just so i have throw a tea party.
>>10630064Really? I have always found tea sandwiches super easy to prep and portable for events. Cucumber, watercress, and chicken salad are my go-tos.>>10630702You're welcome, and those look DELIGHTFUL.>>10630728Why so hostile?>>10630760Looks like I missed some fun.>>10630774A while back, my backyard had a huge bloom of wild violets, and I made a bunch of syrup and candied flowers for work treats.>>10631079>I SHOWED YOU MY CAKES PLZ RESPOND>>10631085Sure, why not? >>10631088Which country, if I may ask?>>10631106I dig it.>>10631208Try looking up Georgian and regency societies. There is a lot of cross over, and if you have it ok'd first, most welcome the egl crowd in coord.
>>10631256how can you eat tea sandwhiches after the moldy cream cheese story
>>10631273>the moldy cream cheese storyI am afraid to ask but must know.
>>10631292In the lolita confession thread
>>10631300if you can't see or taste a difference it's fine, i eat worse than that all the timet. issues with "wasting" food
>>10631256>Which country, if I may ask?Romania lol
>>10631088I wonder if we are in the same country. Basically no pandemic for me too and I’m also an old lonelita
>>10631400Well, you tell me >>10631399
I'm also a lonelita but don't mind it. I like doing things on my own or with my (non-lolita) friends. A picnic with other lolitas sounds nice in theory but I'm too intimidated and anxious to ever show up to one. I plan on wearing nice coordinates and going on walks to the park myself instead, and maybe I will make a few small cakes and have my own tea party.
>>10631106>>10630774>>10631256eating flowers are for vegans and witches. we burn vegans and witches around here
>>10631445“I plan on wearing…” okay so you’re a lolita at heart then? Did you just get your first devilinspired dress?
>>10631461Nope, maybe I just phrased that wrong. I mean I will just go on walks and stuff in lolita instead of events. I have been a lolita for 9 years, not that you care.
>>10631208I use this recipe but add 1/2tsp extra of vanilla: https://lovingitvegan.com/vegan-carrot-cake-lemon-buttercream-frosting/Scroll all the way down bc it’s one of the recipes where they write a shit ton about stuff no one reads. I haven’t tried their frosting though.
>>10631461>>10631510>I used to wear lolita. I still do, but I used to, too.
>>10631706not either ayrt but the initial post never implied they didn't wear lolita, they said they do stuff in lolita with normie friends and then mentioned the summer activities they plan to do while wearing lolita.
>>10631716It's a famous american stand-up joke, except the original is about weed. Only tangentially related to the tard who doesn't understand how verb tenses work. I plan on wearing underwear tomorrow, doesn't mean it's my first time.
https://yupitsvegan.com/chickpea-avocado-cucumber-bites/My bestie is vegan so when I last hosted a tea party I made these and they were a big hit with everyone. Does anyone have any other good tea party vegan recipes?
>>10631079How would I make the stems here? I keep thinking it's celery.
>>10631844Oooh those look great! Probably also good for summer rather than crackers since the cucumber would be cold and refreshing.
>>10632119kiwi or melon probably_
>>10632125If it's a Japanese cafe or recipe most likely melon based on the color and size of the pieces.
