If one of your posts gets shadowbanned, how long do you wait to make your next post?
>>10617753You post 2-3 pics in shadowban and live through the less exposure and you get it back afterwards
>>10617764And avoid whatever tag got you banned
So are there new Accounts to follow? I don't care about the style and numbers of followers, just name everyone you like
>>10617936What kind of accounts? Cosplay? Jfash?
>>10617947Oh sorry, Lolita or other J-fashions
>>10617770>And avoid whatever tag got you bannedThat’s just it though, I don’t know how my post got shadowbanned. I didn’t use many tags and I checked each one, but none are broken. The post itself doesn’t contain anything inappropriate either, so I have no idea why this happened
>>10618282Any containing the word lolita
>>10618297No I’m a cosplayer
>>10618311oh okay just delete your account then
>>10618311kill yourself, whore.
Yikes. Barely started and already derailed? Here's some girls whose style I look up to/admireasamimoononlyfrillsandhorsesmag.sugarmintkismetconfettiribbonartdunoirdeadxsweetnessmarianne_emmanuellekurumisaki0315minori00monelectricspacecarouselkuronekoakiyomarlessa
>>10618317>>10618364Sure is summer in here
>>10618311I'd say try reposting the same content with different tags to see which gets better reach, but that experiment might be impacted by your current ban.
follow me!orgasmicyogurtweeb/jfashion/ they/them-lifestyle
>>10617764Does your reach go back to normal after 2-3 posts?
>>10618384The first four alone are hideous. Get some taste, anon.
>>10618701None of those first four are hideous? And at least half of them have been pretty influential since the livejournal days.
>>10618692Every time. I normally have a reach of about 7-14k when I'm shadowbanned it's way lower. After a few posts it's getting back to normal and I'm shown in #s again. I've accepted it and just keep posting in hopes that the reach is still up when I'm uploading

>>10618793>lucrezia.doll>baninabeartheir content is so bland I have no idea how they got so popular. Is it just because they’re more pretty than the average lolita?
>>10618796On today's news, basic bitch instagram users like basic bitches. Also water is wet. Also why Fanny is so popular despite posting random ass coordinates. They are pretty and appeal to a broader base of users.
>>10618691>they/them lifestyleWhat the fuck does that even mean
>>10618701lmao jealous loser
Does anyone have suggestions for primarily classic lolita coord accounts to follow? Searching through the tag gets so many lolicon, product advertisement, and just plain irrelevant normie results it's unreal
>>10618827I think they're "trans"they post a lot of SJW trash and begs for money every other month.
>>10618691fuck off scrote
>>10618938I'm a little loathe to post people here because of all the salt, but search brand tags like innocent world and Victorian maiden and I like most of the people who consistently wear those items. Also #marymagdalenejp has become the tag of choice for MM as the original tag is just inundated with jesus fags and cult larpers for obvious reasons.
>>10618691why orgasmic yogurt? that's as awful as baby duck enema
>>10618691>genderspecial bullshit>account has posted suspiciously suggestive lolicon imageshmm
>>10619011>>10619040>scrote>account has posted suspiciously suggestive lolicon imagesnta but tf are you talking about? none of her pics are pedoshit and she's clearly a woman, though the name is honestly awful. I'd recommend changing it to something else
>>10618692Actually no, anon doesn't know what they're talking about. It depends on that type of shadow ban you have, if you're being banned completely from hashtags or if you're just being limited from explore/popular tags. The second one is worse, because you can be banned for 90 days. The complete tag ban can last for up to 2 weeks.
>>10619056god you are such an idiot and a new fag. Jordy has been featured in one of the lolita docs but I forget which one and im too lazy to find itYour brain is so rotted out you think feminine clothes = woman
>>10619105nevermind i found it quickly so here https://youtu.be/W0QSyv8tEggthats a man baby
>>10619056>orgasmicyogurt>GenderspecialJust because someone throws on a dress, doesn't make them a girl. Read the tags, idiot.
>>10619026^ this. Also, while it may seem like a good move to search the classic lolita tag on IG, it's inundated with sweet and old school, because apparently no one knows what classic is.
Here are my reccs, mostly sweet style! royal_kawaii_kimbuuchaprincess_honey_bunitsvanillabeartoastchaaanmintypileantisocial_unipenguinthewickedpumpkindreamy.kuriberryanne_milkfemme
>>10619170>royal_kawaii_I gotta wonder... does this girl have a job or does she have a rich family/boyfriend? She posts head-to-toe brand coords pretty much daily, is always posting stories of her going out or shopping, and posts MASSIVE hauls. She also has an entire room dedicated specifically to lolita. What the fuck do I have to do to achieve that kind of lifestyle?
>>10619838Says she is shop staff. So likely some dressing up is her job. She doesn’t have a big wardrobe, likely buys and sells a lot. It’s all fake
>>10619838>What the fuck do I have to do to achieve that kind of lifestyle?unironically, work a tech job from home. and not something like medical coding or freelance web dev, but consultancy or some kind of development. if you play your cards right you can make a lot. then if you have a partner, you're raking in twice as much.(not implying that that's what she does. just what i do, and i have a shit ton of brand and the money to go shopping/nice restaurants/whatever other hedonistic thing. if you want a cushy life but weren't born wealthy and don't feel like gold digging, this is the best option.)
>>10619838She turns her wardrobe over very quickly, sells almost equal amounts of dresses she buys. And it mostly just looks like she has a lot of dresses because she's a lifestyler but she repeat wears the same dresses a lot.
I went through my own follows to find some accounts to contribute to this thread. These are all sub 500, post mostly about lolita and look cute enough in my book. I could probably find some more if I bothered. Nonetheless, I hope somebody enjoys this.chrissy_eglsolace_saphylostomoyochibosadpartyqueenrabbit.maidenbumble_treechuzziebearpiratandenneekymomoeden_of_manzarinfrillyamaiyahiyoooko__erikarieglpeachy.pumpkin.teaentennekolilynuciferadistracteddreams_himehensoumeikiyokorichteajennyunderthebonnetmarmelala1stepphes
>>10619170I feel like itsvanillabear is kind of over lolita. I just get the vibe she wears it only for IG these days. Though maybe more Lolitas are like that than I realize.
Are the accounts gaining reach and follows all paying for engagement?
>>10620764That’s so true she’s always complaining about not getting enough likes/engagement. It’s so ridiculous to me when people ask for likes, comments or whatever. I will like what I like not because of pity! Isn’t she managing the social media for a company? I’m honestly surprised she should know better.
>>10621112Pretty common these days, desu IG is useless nowadays and probably will die soon if nothing changes, it only really works now if you pay for shit.
>>10621201ayrt and yeah its a really bad look. no one is owed engagement, and she's not even a business, she's just a person posting outfits.I feel like her style is kind of tired at this point, like she'd rather leave lolita but won't do it out of fear of losing her following.
>>10621201>Isn’t she managing the social media for a company? She’s a stay at home mom (ie not working) now. But either way, even regular, non-social media savvy people know that begging for likes and engagement drives people away.
anyone got reccs for love live cos centered accounts?
>>10621311I wouldn't doubt that there are people out there who only cosplay love live, but imo you're going to have better luck looking for cosplayers who tend to lean towards shoujos as they tend to also make detailed love live builds. That's my experience with cosplayers on my feed anyway.
>>10621364>>10621311I forgot to ask, do you still want some recs even though they're not completely centered on LL?
>>10621379they don't have to be completely, i forgot to make that clear previously sorry
>>10619056>>10619105in all seriousness though, this "Jordy" is larping as trans, he will never be a woman. he's a really cringy weeb trash and has post loli uwu content on their feed/stories.
>>10621554lmao you say her name in quotations but she didn't even change her name. you clearly don't know anything about her.
>>10621863did you honestly think "Jordy" is the birth name? lmao

>>10623442Please don't encourage them to be a creep.
>>10618739Are you high? I looked up one of the random accounts you mentioned and they look downsy.

>>10624145Wish this site would just ban the ip addresses of every zoomer...
>>10624145As much as I like her current casual outfits I like her older lolita outfits a lot better. JS.

>>10623488No one is being fooled here, even if he is only interested in men, they'll never see him as a woman anyway.
>>10624145Being in the fashion for a long time doesn't automatically give you a pass for looking good. I'm sorry you think her cheap deflated coords and haggard face are worth recommending to others. Like I said, get some taste nonny.
>>10624145>nobody cares that you need to be edgy and hate on well stablished lolitasI bet you think WF is 'established' based on this logic and worship her posts too kek
>>10623471>>10623442It may appear that way to you because straight people generally don't write about their sexuality in their bios...
>>10624552Yeah, I think straight lolita's tend to be more quiet about it, which is to be expected.
>>10624552>>10624744This, being straight really has little to do with sharing coords so I don't mention it at all.

>>10621379wondering too
>>10623471lol like most of my comm is either bi or lesbian
>>10624744>>10624803Honestly wish there were lolitas who were as loud about being straight as the lgbts are. It would be HILARIOUS to see the entire online comm have a huge meltdown over straight lolitas.

My wife and I do it all the time>I am a homesteaderMe too! My garden has rare edible plants and herbs, really adds to the cottagecore aesthetic Trad wives are just lesbians in comp het usually, which explains the self hate
>>10628314If you're straight, there's no point announcing it on your socail media unless you're either single and looking or trying to pull the equivalent of white pride.>>10628347I'm straight, and being exposed to so much lgbt talk in the lolita hobby got me to consider the idea of being attracted to women theoretically, but in the end I've determined I'm just not willing to give up the dick. If 2D futas were real, I'd be down to date one; but I for sure don't want a vag-only relationship or some dude with titties.
>>10628347Honestly I'm bi in a loving relationship with my fiance but cottagecore life has me daydreaming about a cute wife I can live the dream with. Doesn't help my best friend who is lesbian is literally living that life. Plus I wouldn't have to deal with the hard edges of masculinity. I'm sure there are drawbacks and I'm content right now but that's social media for you, making shit seem way better than it probably is.
I want to know about your recent struggles.>the app wants you to post more reels>tfw low view count and shitty engagement on all my latest reels>the app wants you to make multiple posts a week>my engagement is worse if I post more frequently
>>10628314straight girls don't want to wear lolita because they want to be attractive and wear attractive clothing.
>>10630558>don’t post for awhile >finally have time and content for social media >2nd post since coming back gets shadow banned for no reason What’s the fucking point? Social media used to be fun and this is killing the fun for me. Sometimes I wonder if fb is trying to make Instagram bad on purpose
>>10630558>lolita blog, new to posting regularly, little engagement>finally, someone who comments who isn't a friend>oh, it's just a foot fetishistWhy do I bother
>>10630558>free time starts to become infrequent, almost non-existent>what is left, I spend doing low-energy activities like watching tv. hobbies fall to the wayside>posted an update when I was active promising an upload the next week>that was may>i have the footage in my camera, but no will to finish>the guilt is stacking
>>10630573I've noticed one out of every few posts of mine will get shadow banned. It won't get shown in any hashtag. I use safe ones and change some of them depending on the post but Instagram is no longer fun for me either because of shit like this.
I belive nobody mentioned them yet, but their coords are nice:candy.twinkleprinsessin.valiumcadneysobisoba
>>10631561>sobisobalol
>>10630558My reels have been doing way better than my photos and that's disheartening. My posts have all gotten shadow banned as well, I don't know why.
>>10631574nayrtMight have shitty friends but is a great dresser
>>10631586Ig also just prioritizes reels lately because they want to compete with tiktok
>>10632130Thanks for the laugh anon. Absolutely nobody thinks that but good try.
>>10632412('~`;)
I’m quitting Instagram partly because of the rise of garbage like this. People putting boilerplate captions about “privilege” and “inequities” under picture of themselves in $500 collectible luxury dresses purely for clout. It’s dumb as hell, tone deaf and I hate that so many are drinking the kool aid
>>10637963Jesus wtf is even that coord? Those hideous shoes, the awkward length and questionable lace on those socks, a Louis Vuitton bag that matches nothing? (Side note LV is entry level luxury and usually ugly and basic).
>>10637963Her captions along with a couple of others have been so cringe. I'm not here to get lectured on privilege I just want to see coords.
>>10637963I could tell who this was from the caption
>>10637999The thing is I'm an insufferable academic and follow people like modernwarrior on TikTok, etc. I just think that acting like your expensive niche fashion blog featuring nouveau riche clout items is not the place to talk about it, and acting like it is suggests an IQ somewhere around room temperature.
>>10632130Her coords are mostly meh
>>10637963>discussing privilege, discrimination, poverty, civil rights and so on>posts a picture wearing several hundred dollars worth of niche frilly clothesThis shit is exhausting and why I stopped following lolitas who started posting captions like picrel.
>>10637963>>10637999It's so obnoxious when people shoehorn in a social justice caption on a completely unrelated image (usually ones showing themselves/their possessions off). If you really want to talk about a social issue then take it seriously, don't slap it onto a photo of yourself for attention
>>10638083>Thinking TikTok is academicYou're just as cringe as she is, wtf. No wonder the younger generation is doomed.
>>10637963>positivity is a privilege I’m all for civil liberties, but christ they’re really scraping the bottom of the barrel on this one>>10638083>your expensive niche fashion blog featuring nouveau riche clout items is not the place to talk about itAgree, but last summer people got everyone to believe that if you weren’t commenting on social justice daily, even on your hobby account, then that automatically meant you were racist/homophobic/transphobic
>>10638134I’m a PhD candidate, lol. Just figured that a TikToker would be more accessible to readers here than the scholars I have to read.
>>10638175I think TikTok is great as an intro to stuff but a lot of times information is oversimplified or crammed in. There's also the issue that other than a few trusted people TikTok is full of people acting like they know shit but actually don't, and TikTok doesn't give a shit about differentiating. So after you watch one let's say scientifically informative tok the algorithm bizarrely then routes you to a naturopath. It's really not great, there are better alternatives for easy consumption of complex concepts that may not lead to misinformation or incredibly hot takes meant to generate engagement.Sage for this not really being related but reels is basically ported TikTok anyways.
>>10638175>I’m a PhD candidatenot sure why you have to keep sperging about how acAdeMic you are. What a tryhard, like all the other tiktok trash
>>10638257Thats a future Dr. Anon, show some respect kek. No, but yeah, i've noticed humanities peeps tend to throw around their useless credentials a tad more than other folk
>>10638258A Ph.D could be in just about any non medical field though, which could still be in a more "practical" area than humanities.
>>10638257All I'm saying is I'm exactly the kind of annoying person that's supposed to be the target audience for this stuff and even I am annoyed by it.
I found this in BSOLF.>I know I shouldn't worry about these things but lately my instagram gets a lot less likes, I was super proud of this coord but I wonder if its missing something or maybe its more about my photo-taking or posing? I wonder whether to get a tripod? I just feel like I'm lacking confidence so any tips would be greatly appreciated on how to improve my pictures!
>>10624803desu it's bc ppl assume you are straight.
>>10639424Who goes to that ita infested group for asspats? Its a meh coordinate with shitty lighting and costumey makeup, that's why you're not getting likes.
>>10639424The e-begging is embarassing. I truly don't get attention whoring when you're not even cashing in from it
Well the bastard who runs Instagram finally admits out loud that he’s doing everything he can to kill off Instagram.I’m definitely pissed off about this. Instagram was the best place to share photos and over the past year or two they’ve been making it more and more shitty for people who flocked to the app just to share photos only. I’ve gotten several thousand followers on there, but now it’s like what’s the point if most of them are going to be restricted from seeing my posts? I guess it’s just time to start over on a new app. Where are you gulls jumping ship to? I’ve heard a lot of people say they’re moving over to Twitter. I never really got into Twitter before, so if you guys know the ins and outs of Twitter etiquette, I’d love to hear it
>>10642431whatever, time to go back to tumblr
>>10642431Hearing the news felt so sour. I was barely getting my account going and mostly had the energy for reposting my tiktoks, but I was looking forward to actually taking nice photos once I finished the cosplays I'm working on. It's a pipe dream, but I hope people can bully him into atleast splitting his attention to photos too. I'm pretty frequent on twitter and it's not a bad alternative. They just removed the mega-crop on photo previews, so that should be helpful to jump-shippers. The thread feature is great for cosplayers like myself to share WIP progress. As for etiquette, this is what comes to mind:>Don't quote retweet art or posts that you want to give traction to the original creator for because qrting is the equivalent of duetting or stitching a tiktok (remixing on insta), you in essence create a new post when doing so and any traction your "new" post gets will not go to the orignal creator. Instead we create a new tweet and use "LRT:" or 'last retweet" to share thoughts. This rule wouldn't apply if you're adding an addendum or correction to a post.>any engagement (likes, rt's, comments, shares) promotes content so if you see a dumbass take, it's usually a better idea to take a screenshot (crop the username) and make your own post about it than to fight directly in the comments. Or you can just ignore it lol>when commenting on a thread, it's usually best to comment on the first or last tweet in the thread because commenting directly to a random tweet in the thread will get buried by the way the app displays comments and threads. >don't leave memes or english comments on non-english speakers' tweets. There have been many instances where a westerner will leave a "delete this" or "im gonna kill you" tweet that is intended to be playful in english but comes off threatening or mean to non-english speakers and has resulted in them deleting their post (specifically art) or leaving entirely. In general, it's best to use LRT as I mentioned previously.
>>10642432Yeah I'm headed back there too. Always hated insta so this is a good reason
>>10642431I started posting pictures and blogging a little again on Cosplay Amino. It's pretty dead and there are a bunch of underage MHA fans that will always show up on the latest posts feed, but I don't feel as hopeless as when looking at Instagram. Instagram's profile page really is a nice portfolio but they really just want to be TikTok2. I can't stand Twitter because even trying to look at the media tab of someone's account is just a bunch of the same few reaction gifs and screenshots of gacha pulls. I've never used Tumblr but last I heard they were actively killing the site with content policing too, is it really an option for replacing Instagram?
I always liked insta because it was so easy to find new people. I’ll try to stick with insta for a little longer and if a big move happens with others I’ll go to Twitter, but not back to tumblr.
>>10643331Ntayt but as long as you're not posting porn, I haven't noticed them silencing anyone or blocking content. Twitter and insta do this regularly tho. Maybe Tumblr does too and I've never heard or noticed. Unfortunately tho Tumblr is half dead so without a mass migration back, don't expect a lot of content interaction.Wish we had a new platform
>>10643331The actual problem with Tumblr is that it's full of porn bots, and the site owners are doing nothing about it because it brings them traffic. So if you don't want to constantly have porn shoved in your face, don't go to Tumblr.
>>10643372>>10643369Just block porn bots. Thats what I do. Tumblr is nice. They do kinda police posts, but unless you are posting what they consider anti covid shit or white supremacy, you're good.
>>10643372It's pretty obvious which blogs are porn bots, just block them when you see them following you. It takes 2 seconds. Besides that, tumblr is still my favorite social media site. It's just a bunch of women in their mid-twenties and late-twenties who never left, enthusiastically doing their thing. And on my feed there's pretty much no Discourse(tm), it's a lot easier to avoid than 5 years ago.
>>10643372>So if you don't want to constantly have porn shoved in your face, don't go to Tumblr.you must be willingly following blogs with nsfw content yourself then, I get followed by porn bots too but I don't see their stuff unless I consciously look at their blogs. just block/ignore and you'll be fine, deal with them the same way you'd deal with sissies or legwear fetishists on ig, you can't escape the degenerates anyways because they're everywhere
Instagrams dead, go to Vero if you want hi res photos and growth.its where all the high profile cosplayers are now
I’m thinking of making a Neocities because as many have mentioned, I really do think we lost something in the community when blogging died out.
>>10644710definitely play around with neocities, but i’d also recommend a Wordpress since there’s so many modules and features available. just makes it easier to get what you want out there.but if you’re into olde internet blinky gifs and html, you do you! i’m gonna transfer to a blog soon too. having followers sucks.
>>10644713You go to wordpress? I cant decide between wordpress and blogspot. I dont know html to make a neocities so thats out of the question.
>>10644713>>10644710I do think that blogs and personal websites are about to have a renaissance as people get social media fatigue. I was admiring ita.toys today and pondering the idea of slapping together my own website
>>10644781Isn't there templates available for neocities or some kind of base codes at least? idk since I've never used nc myself but I kinda doubt there's so many people with coding skills that good
>>10644937oh yes i'm certain there's a lot of online resources for basic website templates. probably just a quick search away! but most of the sites there (at least the ones i've seen from lolitas) look pretty homegrown, using basic html and some css skills. a lot of people have basic web design skills from being past Neopets users, actually. just a weird tidbit.>>10644781i would recommend wordpress > blogspot. i think i've mentioned this before, but wordpress is open source and they don't lay claim to the content you post. if you want to own your information (as best as you can, at least) use wordpress. plus blogspot is a legacy platform and kind of on its way out.
>>10637963I hate this so much. I've seen ones of people grinning so widely whilst talking about the people being brutally murdered... how do these people not see that it's tone deaf?
>>10643394>tumblr is still my favorite social media site. It's just a bunch of women in their mid-twenties and late-twenties who never left, enthusiastically doing their thing.Created a tumblr again just because of this comment anon, you better be right. I want to make some new connections, make friends with people and give and receive advice and concrit. Anywhere zoomer infested tends to have tons of drama or politics, and I don't want any of that.I would make a wordpress again, but I don't know... I get kinda antsy talking one-on-one. Kind of just want to start out in an already established community and start building friendships there. Would go to discord but eh, discord is discord. Probably not anyone worth my while there.
