Guys I'm stressing out about this. I have this cosplay like this, but it needs to be plugged in the wall. I want to do it at the atrium level of the Marriott at Dragon Con, because that has a lot of people walking by, but I don't know what kind of outlet is there. I saw it once before, but it's not a regular American outlet! I don't know what kind it was. I'm not an engineer. I tried calling the Marriott, but they said to call back during business hours.Does anyone know what kind of outlet is right here at the Marriott?

You can get one of those big battery pack things... the ones you plug into a wall to charge, then it has all sorts of sockets you can plug into it, USB, electrical, etc.
You don't need an outlet. Really. It's a thing called a battery. Has the thought of one ever crossed your mind before you thought to make this post?
>>10613494>>10613505no no I plan to stand there for at least 11 hours because a lot of people will be there all day so a constant electric charge will be necessary haha
>>10613764This is a shit idea. There are game rooms for this. Don't be an obstruction.
>>10613764>standing for 11 hours wearing a tvyoure gonna give up after 1 hour
>>10617462Look, you have to understand, I lift stuff all day for my job! A TV is nothing. I'm not some dumb bitch with big tits and a weak back "ooohh look at me, my back hurts!" Shut up, bitch. And when I don't want to hold it anymore I'll just prop it up on a chair, hello!
>>10613764>standing for 11 hours at dragon conNah you're going to stand for 2 at most, then give up and sit down. You know you're in atlanta during summer righting.>I saw it once before, but it's not a regular American outlet! you mean you saw a 240v outlet meant for heavy equipment? Everything in the US is a US outlet retard. It's just a different NEMA type depending on the output needed.
>>10620774I believe your strong enough to do it, you'll just be a gigantic douche bag after the 30 min mark, no one is gonna ACTUALLY give a shit about your autistic waste of floor space
>>10613441It was probably a twist-lock type, NEMA L5-15 or L5-20.That said, the others are right, you're almost certainly not gonna want to stand there for that long and batteries are the way to go.
>>10613441This is a very Dragoncon-y idea. However like others said you’ll be taking up a decent amount of space if you just post up in one location and stand there the whole day. Not to mention it won’t be as fun for you if you’re forced to stand in one spot for an entire con day. Why not bring multiple power banks and send a friend to go charge them as they run out? Then you could cycle them throughout the day and have the ability to walk around. It’s not a cheap method, but you have to expect that sort of thing when doing eccentric cosplays like this.
