dunno if its the right place to aks but probably..,What happened that pictures on COF doesn't get that many likes anymore, since like a week or so? Something wrong with the algorithm?
i'll ask again hereWhat are the chances ap usa will put up leftover stock from the freshly picked strawberries mto
>>10590763Did they turn on post approval? Maybe that has something to do with it
>>10590771they always had to approve the posts. So that didn't change
Why on socials toned down lolita, gothic that is not OTT, classic, otome and general jfashion like legit larme kei and girly fashion isn't that popular? All I see is OTT sweet, very saturated pastel outfit, crappy e-girl style outfits and cosplay-ish Aliexpress kei fashion. The only good blogs and outfits I love are mostly from Japan, China or Korea, few aren't from East Asia that have good taste. It's not a size thing because there are many options for plus size jfashion also from some Japanese brands.>mfw I like OTT sweet and pastel but I'm a bit tired to see all the IG suggested profiles are from OTT sweet lolita wearers or western contaminated jfashion that is too tacky boring af.>no, your fast fashion H&M kei outfit with clown edgy makeup isn't larme kei or girly jfashion
>>10590779Because in order to get noticed on socials now you need to somehow stand out, and normal nice well-coorded outfits do not stand out
>>10590781I think also most of these IG popular profiles have shit taste for daily life outfits because it's not easy to wear these styles if someone wears all the time sweatpants or jeans with basic bitch graphic tees or sweats inside their home and outside instead of good quality japanese fashion or cute outfits in general. The profiles I love usually wear jfashion as normal clothing not only for asspats and likes.>mfw I'm buying more otome and soft lolita items to wear daily and my usual outfits are basic bitch blouse or cutsew + skirt combo + tote bag a la Maison de Fleur and just one hairclip
was wondering if theres any influencers who wear etc you would recommend for inspo? Or any resources on otome in general
>>10590774Not sure if you’re being facetious or if you’re just new, but this is just not true.
>>10590790it’s definitely a new thing, it’s been a point of contention for years
>>10590788Yes please, especially influencers that wear other brands, not only ETC or JM or sweet style print oriented otome.
>>10590798someone please give me the casual gothic/dark sweet I so crave
>>10590779People just have shit tastealso your post comes off more as a rant than a question
Where can I get an actual leather version of a heart bag? Or even a fabric heart bag that I can use daily for a long time, and not worry about peeling? I just want a cute lolita bag I can use every day that isn’t gonna peel.>jane marple uses bonded leather which peeled and cracked on me after 1 month.I know there is vivienne westwood, but she uses vegan leather and I am wary of potential cracking.
>>10590888I think Milk occasionally does real leather ones
>>10590786I feel like this fits better in the confessions thread but that one is gone? I think? (newfag here)
>>10590888VW ones aren't real leather either? Or is it only Anglomania? That's really disappointing, I had been thinking of snatching one up 2ndhand
>>10590892Thanks I’ll check it out, but I’m scared it’ll just be bonded leather like the jane marple ones.>>10590916Yeah their heart shaped ones are vegan leather. I’m not sure about their older ones, but all the newer heart ones are stated vegan on their website.I know radleys london has a leather heart bag on sale right now, but they embossed a cherub angel on it and I’m not really down for that.I just went fuck it and contacted a custom leather bag maker for a consultation on making what i want
>>10590896Yea it got deleted because someone started posting obese gore
>>10590853I noticed it, I was just wondering why my IG suggested me the same things despite I have put many likes on the types of fashion I want to see more.I searched for these type of styles, not suggested by IG explore page. >>10590805Yeah I want to see more this style!!
what size are miho matsuda unshirred dresses normally? eyeing one but unfortunately have badonkers
>>10591037I've found Miho Matsuda fairly forgiving compared to some other brands but they tend to come in multiple sizes if they're not standard. So if you don't see it marked as a size L, I'd assume under 90cm bust and 70cm waist absolute max.
So I was ironing one of my Jane Marple skirts and noticed this cute dress printed on it. This is the 15th anniversary skirt I believe. Does anyone know if the dresses printed on it are inspired by real releases? And if so which one is this?
absolute newfag, how does buying from the dream dress thread here work? would you not get outed as a gull or do people give no shits about that now
Has anyone ordered from clobbaonline before?
>>10591164Yup. They're basically a Taobao shopping service with a limited selection and lots of handholding through purchasing and reservations. If you're nervous about buying from Taobao for the first time I'd say there's not much harm in starting with them if you just want to dip your toes in or don't want to bother with full on shopping services.
>>10591081>how does buying from the dream dress thread here work?you don't
>>10591164Clobba is really responsive and good with e-mails in my experience. Very good English as well in case you have questions about measurements or orders.
Just curious, how many times of machine-washing can typical lolita item last? Honestly I don't wash the dresses all that often because I only wear lolita out maybe once a month.. but also because I'm worried that it would "age" the fabric and fade the dye.
Okey this is really dumb. Can I take back an offer I left on LM? I bid on a dress really early and now I regret it. Help
>>10591245Message the seller asap but expect negative feedback. You can also hope that someone else will bid on it right before it ends
>>10591247I don’t want neg. feedback i guess I will just bite the sour apple and get it it’s a dd after all
EMS hasn't updated my tracking info since it was "dispatched" "from tokyo office" more than a week ago, but according to the Japan Post website it's only supposed to take 2 days to my country. What should I do?
>>10591212Most of my lolita goes straight in the wash after one use, including my dresses. I haven't noticed any fading and I compare my dresses with their waist ties often to be sure. Maybe it might age the fabric, but I haven't noticed anything and at the end of the day lolita is just clothes and you're supposed to wash it. I would suggest washing in fabric bags though to avoid scratching or fraying.
>>10591262Some sellers are nice if some legit emergency has come up (ex: I used to be a poorfag in college and ended up having my wisdom teeth suddenly cause me pain and I had to get those removed so I asked a seller if it was okay if no one outbid me to cancel the sale and they were chill since it was a legit problem), but in your case where you just...don't want it anymore feels like you should hope you get outbid or just pay and resell if you win cause I'm sure most sellers would find it rude to just hear a buyer say "well I don't actually want it now"
>>10591286covid delays, just be patient
Are there any classic or gothic lolita companies that sell cotton pieces mainly?
Should I contact WunderWelt about a package from from them that is being shipped through Yamato that was mailed out on the 7th but got RETURNED on the 8th 12 minutes past midnight? There's no way it got to the states in less than a day and the ContactUs phone numbers' robot says it's restricted when i try to call them.
>>10591068looks like the Handkerchief OP
>>10591660happened to me before, turned out to just be some random mail stuff, once it didn't even get returned, another time it got returned and was shipped out again a week later (wasn't with WW specifically)
>>10591659Most of VM's non-chiffon releases are cotton>>10591660Probably.
>>10591286same here,5-10 days postage is taking over a month
Is Axes Femme considered lolita now?
>>10591673About as lolita as AP at this point
>>10591673I think this counts. A non-lolita brand can make a lolita dress.
What can I expect going into the AP and BABY stores in San Fran (item selection, shop girls’ friendliness, etc.)? I’m visiting the area for the first time in a couple of months and wanted to check them out while I was there.
>>10591673They were always what Misako called "soft lolita" anyway.
>>10591673Yeah, they are mainly otome or soft lolita but with many items you can create lolita outfits. Their kawaii line is lolita but sometimes there are lolita items from the poetique or main line or blouses/cutsews you can use for lolita. Lolita isn't always OTT and busy prints, there are toned down looks too.
>>10591673She looks so busted and tired.
>>10591718This was six years ago so it may have changed, but I found the staff in Baby to be nice and chatty while AP were just watching me from a distance. Granted, I was a broke teenager visiting with my family in tow who were being a bit awkward.
Are stores on taobao like this legit? I’m confused at how it works? I translated everything I could but I can’t really tell https://m.tb.cn/h.4oLfQCD?sm=671eb5
I was looking up past sales of my DD on LM to see prices and I saw a listing of it that went unsold last year. Would it be stalkerish/weird to politely message the seller and ask if they were still considering selling it?
>>10591769What are you asking? There's a few stores that sell real AP for the Chinese buyers, I'd go off reviews to see if it's legit or not. Buying those dresses from the US/Japanese market seems like it would be way less of a hassle though
>>10591718I went the year before last, the AP girls were super nice and even brought out a couple small accessories from the back. I don’t know if they’d do that now though since everything has become much more bloodbath-y since then. The BABY girls were a bit quieter but also very nice.
>>10591718honestly just depends on who you get. The day I went in 2019, both AP shopgirls seemed ESL so while shy, they were still polite. I think a majority of the shopgirls at BABY are native english speakers which explains the chattiness. If you ask questions they tend to be more helpful since it shows that you're not a rando normie
>>10591780No, I think that's generally considered fine to do.
>>10591661Thanks anon! Sorry, maybe I'm super dumb or something but do you have a lolibrary link? Jane Marple handkerchief isn't giving me much on Google
>>10591821ah, i'm sorry. I was thinking of Picrel. It's pink and not green though
>>10591803No it isn’t
>>10591836nyart, it's fine. They put it up for sale and as long as you are polite in the case that it is no longer available, it's acceptable.
Do I need blouses in different colours? I only have white blouses so far, but Taylor said in a video that it was very babylita to use white blouses?
>>10591908only for non-oldschool sweet
>>10591908heavily depends on what style you're wearing
>>10591673The "kawaii" line is intended to be lolita, I think. The opening for kawaii had Misako design a dress and model for it, and there is a pannier (petticoat) that is a repeat re-release item in kawaii's shop. The pannier has rather low poof, though, it's more suitable for daily/casual.As for the rest of Axes' lineup, they're only "girly" style and "loliable". If you own enough items, or if you manage to find an Axes Femme shop to compare in person, the kawaii lineup often has longer and wider skirts -- the difference isn't much, the kawaii line will have knee-length skirts and the other lines will have skirts that are just above the knees. It's still noticeable if you manage to compare a lot of them though.
>>10591657Why is only EMS Japan delayed?
>>10591765>>10591784>>10591802Thanks for the input! It’s just going to be me and my best friend (who knows I’m a lolita), just not sure if I’ll be wearing lolita yet so I’ll definitely interact so they don’t think I’m some curious normie who isn’t going to buy anything
how tight is Mary Magdalene really? I think my tits and shoulders are pretty small

does anyone know more about this op? I can't find it anywhere on lolibrary or just in general other pictures of it online I only know that it's by BTSSB bc well, its in the text
>>10592195and that its designed by moon kana (I think lmao)
>>10592195It’s a glb pattern, I don’t think it was released to buy. You can buy the vol and remake it
>>10591908No, but it makes coords more interesting to look at when the blouse color is matched to the print, but that requires a large wardrobe.
>>10592195It's a pattern from vol.3.. don't have a better pic sry
>>10592195I don't think it was ever for sale. There's a pattern for it in the GLB that photo is from though, it's GLB vol. 3. There are a few sorta similar early OP designs from BTSSB, but they have no appliques and more lace/details generally. But yeah, that exact dress to my knowledge was never sold or produced further than that one piece moon kana is wearing. You could always make one from the pattern! (or have someone else make it if you can't sew I guess lol)
>>10592200>>10592205>>10592204thank you all!!I found a little better quality of the picture too (reverse image search)I'm definitely going to try to make it eventually
>>10591970I just bought some items from Mercari and they are stuck in Japan since 3 April.

Anyone have a link for these blouses on Taobao?
>>10592294not up yet, preorder is 11-30 april, brand is https://shop397224835.taobao.com/
>>10591836This was asked already in a recent previous thread and all who replied agreed it's no problem as long as you're polite. If the item didn't sell, why on earth would it not be?I've made multiple sales this way, sometimes I just get tired of relisting something that isn't budging, so if someone comes along who clearly wants the item enough to have been tracking it down I'm more than happy to have a buyer.>>10591908Why are you taking coord advice from a full-setlita? Also, what >>10592202 said.>>10592079For most items you need to be max ~85cm bust and 66cm waist. Not sure about shoulders.
>>10591908not really. at most for each substyle you need 2 or 3 colors total unless your wardrobe is big. tyler's coords are meh-tier at best> gothicblack and white, maybe an accent color (like moitie blue)classic> ivory and maybe whatever color appears most in your main piecessweet> same with classic except replace ivory with stark white
Anyone know where i can buy a mint green blouse? I know bodyline has some green but its an offcolor one. I'd like one that fits with this color skirt. I want to buy it but idk about how easy it will be to find a blouse for it
>>10591908I only wear white blouses because I look bad in warm colors like ivory and cream. If you are sweet you can start getting like pink blouses, but I don't think it is weird to pick a basic you look good in and expand that way instead. I dress in BTSSB sweet mostly and I just have white blouses.
>>10592330Bless you, anon
Does anyone know who these girls dancing are? I kept seeing gifs of them on discord and tumblr years ago but I never knew who they were.

How do I know how much something will cost in total if you have to do a taobao deposit? Is it generally double the deposit or is there some other way of estimating it
>>10592643Usually when you do a deposit the listing on taobao will have it in the description. The final payment (and just the full payment as a whole) is usually determined by the shop itself. So for an example, if you get a piece that's 400 yuan total, and the deposit is 150 yuan, when its time for the final payment you pay the remainder of what's left according to the listing.
>>10592645thank you, that means its not a mystery I just have to look for it in the description
Can axes femme blouses like this be worn business casually? I’m going from a t-shirt and flip flops workplace in california, to a business casual one in texas. I don’t want to buy ugly jcrew work clothing if I don’t have to
>>10592675Yes, I wear jp non-lolita brands to work. Most everything I wear is axes femme, ank rouge, ETC, amavel, and other similar brands.
>>10592613I found one: 未華きゅうり
>>10592675Yes of course! You can also mix girly jfashion with normie non jfashion that look cute or formal but not too boring like items from Red Valentino, Twin Set, Kate Spade, Lazzari (Eurofag here, it's an Italian brand that has otome looking items), Miss Patina and so on.>mfw Red Valentino had a pink coat with scalloped edges that looked like something out from ETC but it was too expensive
>>10592675>>10592762nayrt but just wanted to add that fint, liz lisa and jesus diamante are all good ones too — I wear all of these to work myself as well as axes femme and jane marple
>>10592772Ah, thanks anon! This is exactly who I was looking for!
>>10592618Well wearing shoes indoors is gross
I want to find this dress, how do I do it? The store advertising is selling stockings/socks not the dress. Can anyone help me find the name/shop?
>>10592952It's called The Gold and Silver Tree of Starlight Lord of the Rings inspired set by Ichigo MikoAs far as obtaining it you'd probably have to look for it secondhand
>>10592939If you live in the west a lot of old buildings with wooden floors have a layer of built in grime and you wouldn't want to set foot inside without shoes. Sadly, a lot of places aren't clean enough for that.
>>10592955Um, maybe you should just clean your fucking floor and have it properly sealed lol
>>10592226Hey anon, I own this volume and can scan the page if you need a high res image!
>>10592954Thank you
>>10592959Sorry your reading comprehension is nonexistent
>>10592976Excuses, there are old asian houses too
Is this still considered a hold if I can pay for the items on Lm in full , but ask the shipper to ship it out in a month? Is it rude to ask this (i would ask before purchase)I’m moving to another state and unsure of my next address until in 3 weeks
>>10592979Asian households don't wear their shoes indoors regardless of age but thanks for proving how much of a dumbass you are.
>>10593002i don't think this is rude just ask the seller and explain your situation
>>10592226This volume is also usually on y!japan with patterns included. Like, I'm talkin' when I got mine recently, there were several others for sale and I see them a lot when looking for other volumes. So, if you fit the standard sizing and want a physical pattern to trace rather than having to draft everything it's pretty easy to find.
Does anyone have good IRL pics of this bag?
>>10593062Ask in the worn thread dumbass
>>10593005Slippers are still shoes.
>>10593271Either threads work you ape

I would like to buy something from Japan again (a Maison de Fleur tote and some other items idk what yet) but EMS is indefinitely on delay and I have a package stuck somewhere in Tokyo. It's advisable to buy from Japan but with another shipping method right now? I don't want to buy normie plain bags for my jfashion pieces.
>>10593825couriers like UPS and DHL still work. Adviseable for light and non-bulky items like the cloth totes. Don't buy a bunch of rigid totes, platform shoes, and coats right now - you'll pay out the wahoo.
>>10593825FedEx and Yamato also work if you’re in the US, I’ve found fedex to be the cheapest/fastest surprisingly
>>10593872I'm from Europe, Italy and FedEx seems really expensive. I have to check the other ones hoping they won't be the same because most of the time I use SAL, Airmail or EMS (if cheap) because I don't want to spend a lot for few items.
>>10593876I checked, FedEx is my best bet because the other methods are too expensive and could be 30-40 euro for a 500 g package, it's still somewhat not really cheap but compared to other couriers it's not that crazy expensive.

how long takes buyee shipping to Europe (The Netherlands)? I've seen people talk about that it takes very long to the us nowadaysI'm thinking of using EMSAlso for any Dutchies, how much have you guys had to pay for custom fees?
>>10594804I live in a neighbouring EU country. I've used both EMS and Airmail shipping for my orders from Buyee. Both have been pretty fast to arrive in my country, but Airmail parcels spent longer in the customs. The longest I had to wait for a parcel was 2 weeks.

ive just got my first dress and I'm thinking about what to get to coord it but I have one stupid doubt : the dress don't have any lace, the headress which was originally sold with it doesn't have lace either. Is it weird to coord it with accesories with lace ? I guess it could be more versatile to get non main pieces with lace if I get more dresses but I know I will not buy some in a long time.
where can i find nice, not cheap looking, cotton blouses that fit fatties? I've looked at meta's and they're nice but pricey, same for lovely mam, and am looking for used ones to be cheaper (yes am poorfag) but can't find any
what kind of lace is that wide middle strip on the cape? does it have a specific name?
>>10595194I normally don't jump on the "poorfag" train but jesus anon, plus size blouses regularly show up secondhand for under $50. Taobao has cheap plus size but it's not nice. You could also try Anna House.

Is there a comm in Norway? Ive been considering trying to immigrate through school.

>>10595366Not sure, but there are comms in Finland and here in Sweden, so I think it is a possibility.
>>10595370okay thank you ! I will research what type of lace could look good with the dress, I'm super picky with lace in general so I was a bit trown off.
>>10595366Yep, there is a comm.
>>10595366In Oslo. No real active comms outside of there though.
is it common for lolitas to spend all of their money on brand or is it a meme?
Are there any Taobao reseller sites that are untrustworthy?I saw glitzy wonderland and my lolita wardrobe as alternatives to devil inspired in a blog post, but the 2000s anime banner and low quality jpegs are putting me off.
>>10595432When I was in college I only spent my extra money on brand and heavily budgeted everything else. Buying $300 dresses is hard when you make $10 an hour doing part time work, even if everything else is paid for. Now I make real money and buy at the same rate so it's no longer an issue.
>>10595234Idk, but this dress? cape? Looks cool, sauce?

I'm a complete newbie lolita. How experienced should one be before they join a comm? I have 5 main pieces and enough blouses/shoes/etc to make at least 2 coords with each of them but I'm not sure if that's considered enough. I do plan to wear lolita as daily wear for a bit first so I can get a better grasp on coording before joining a comm.
>>10595677That's plenty. You're way better off than the newbies who feel compelled to join without even a full coord
>>10595677Seconding the other anon you have way more than 98% of newbies in comms
Are taobao blouses generally considered bad, shitty quality or otherwise ita? I'm pondering whether it's better to wait for the right type of blouse I want to pop up as secondhand brand, or of I should just buy a taobao one.
How do I message a seller on mecardi through buyee?
>>10595880Anon, taobao isn’t a brand. There’s a wide variety of quality.Pay attention to the lace details etc and don’t buy crap. I have a mostly brand closet but also have a bunch of taobao blouses. There’s good stuff you just have to hunt and not look at resellers because they have the crap. Maybe look at clobba for some ideas.
>>10595880In your case, yes, they are
>>10595880Taobao stuff varies widely in quality. If you're the fatty chan that made the last blouse post you will likely end up with something shitty because you sound cheap as hell.
I'm from the US and want to buy something from Baby's Japan site. Is it better to buy directly from the Japanese website and have it sent to the US via EMS, or is it better to fill out the Special Order form on the US site? Anyone have experience with one, the other, or both?
>>10596037there's no EMS right now, so you'll be waiting a few months unless you use an ss and pay courier pricing. jp site has reward points, so it's better.

>>10596052someone posted about hearing an efamous lolita taking a massive shit in a tea party bathroom, she flips out and makes a whole "anti-cyberbullying" campaign that does fuck-allnow she's diabulimic and probably on heroin
>>10596059Not that I care, but she probably isn’t on any seriously addictive drugs because if she was she would probably be selling all her shit to pay for it. Heroin may be cheap but no one does heroin casually. It’s pretty all or nothing. She has talked about smoking weed, maybe she just does benzos or something
>>10596105She did sell a huge chunk or her nasty pit stained shit in a couple of waves fairly recently.
>>10595883you don't.
>>10596249why not
>>10595432I'm in college right now and doing what other anon did. I'm careful with my money and have a good amount in savings, but anything extra goes straight to lolita.
are there any Japanese techwear brands out there?
>>10596277japanese sellers don't sell to westerners or obvious shopping services, faggot. if you need to ask a question about an item use a personal SS like tenshi, she can ask questions for you. fucking retard making me spoon-feed you
>>10596469this is the stupid questions thread, retard.
>>10596469jesus fuck you don't have to be so pissed about it how am I supposed to know that shit?not only that I literally asked it in the stupid questions thread so I already know its "stupid" no need to tell me twice
To Alice/To my bear on taobao is good quality? I mean their non lolita non printed more plain items. Ages ago, I bought a gothic non lolita jsk with embroided crosses that was really nice for the low price but sadly I choose the smallest size because I'm small chested and the measurements seemed right. It's just me or the quality lowered? I saw their lolita items in real life inside the Harajuku To Alice shop and they were terrible quality.
how do I become Mana?
>>10595883Well, as you've already been told, you can't unfortunately. I would recommend Tenshi's SS but if it's an item you want quickly (like it often is for me lol) then she's been incredibly slow as of late because of her workload. I would suggest another SS but I don't really know of any others that are good.
Are there any indie brands who make custom peplums? I’m looking to commission someone to make a soft tulle one like the one on Crystal Dream Carnival.
>>10596506thistledown emporium i'm pretty sure
>>10592079What are your measurements? I know that if you're a US 6 you won't have an issue. You could probably fit into some at a US 8 as well but I'm not sure. If you fit into Victorian Maiden you won't have an issue fitting into MM either.
I made a big order with a shopping service and they gave me the option to undervalue it to get past customs. Should I?
>>10596597It's not worth it
>>10596598Thanks, anon.
Does anyone know the brand of this dress? reversed image sereach only gave me the taobao reseller I saw the dress on.
>>10596493I have a few t-shirts from them and they're nice enough, and a swimsuit which is on the low quality side but it's cute
>>10596597Unvaluing is only worth it if it's a small item/box because then the value remains believable. The guys at customs aren't retarded enough to believe that the giant box with 4 dresses, 3 pairs of shoes and a purse cost you less than 22 euros.
Does anyone know when AP USA will have their Jelly Candy Toys release?
>>10596498get rid of your nose
>>10596597Knowing what country you're in would help
>>10596640US.
>>10596661You don't have to worry about customs, so don't.
>>10596661Don't worry about it unless it's over $800 or you have items you expect to arrive on the same day in the US that total over $800
>>10596679i have shipped 10K of furniture to the us, they don't check anything
I'm using Tenso for the first time. What's the best / fastest shipping to the US during these times? I know there's no EMS. Is AIR or SAL reliable?
Why do anons hate poly fabric so much?
>>10596713doesn't breathe like cotton, less structured (although i prefer this for blouses), often really cheap feeling especially on newer releases, just kind of underwhelming mostly
>>10596713Autism.Srs answer: Anons are mad brands are putting out mostly poly dresses as a way to cut costs and are using very shiny, flimsy, cheap feeling fabric. Poly isn't always bad and has some benefits, but it sits a lot flatter than cotton and is less breathable, among other drawbacks.
>>10596709They're only offering surface and DHL to the US. They charge out of the ass for DHL but it's still worth it, if you pay for surface prepare to wait months, and that's if you receive your stuff at all.
Any advice on finding US size 9 shoes ? (yes, I'm female) I can't just keep wearing demonias with every coord, but I'm scared of taobao sizing/custom going wrong
>>10596724Sad that Tenso isn't offering Yamato. I'm looking at $40USD or more shipping for a headbow and socks.
>>10596713poly feels really cheap to me, I'm fine with it for a taobao dress or Chinese cosplay but would expect a better fabric for a dress that costs hundreds of dollars. Cotton is comfier, doesn't get tears easily like poly, and generally doesn't feel like I'm wearing a fancy trash bag.
>>10596493Nice anon! It's better I stick with blouses and tees mainly, I would like to get a non lolita dress but lately I see only cosplay-ish stuff/not suitable for daily use and these weird balloon skirt dresses that look like crap on someone that is 'bottom heavy' as myself. I wait for new releases then.
I meant to reply to >>10596606 ops>>10596713I have many poly things that are mainly chiffon or from jfashion brands not just lolita, they are fine for me, btw I endure easily hot climate especially if dry, sweat a little and hates cold weather even mild cold so my opinion is biased. I only dislike cheap poly that looks like garbage bags and feels coarse, not silky.
I'm gonna be visiting a large park tomorrow and will be doing 1.5-2 miles of walking. I want to wear my Kera 08s (pic rel) because I'm extra but also don't want to totally hate myself. Should I just wear my flat mary janes instead?
What are masks like the one in this VM ad called? I know if they’re an anime mask then they’re called animegao but I’m not sure what these more Victorian doll inspired ones are called. I’d love to own one if I could look up the name of what they’re called thanks :)
>>10596762I can relate to this surprisingly well, I recently walked a couple miles in my kera 08s myself. It wasn't too bad, except since they're pretty heavy my legs got tired. No blisters or major discomfort though. If you're bringing a bag maybe you could bring your flats in case it gets too uncomfortable?
>>10596787They are also called animegao kigurumi but the more realistic ones like that are refered to as bjd masks.
is the lolita dress that has historical blackface dolls on it real or was that a fever dream I had
>>10596877Maybe you’re thinking of the little cat sambo dress from Jane Marple?
>>10596878YES! Ok, it wasn't lolita but I'm not crazy either. Thank you anon!
I bought something from CC two days ago and still haven't gotten an order confirmation email, just the automatic one. Is this normal? They haven't refunded me nor said that it's out of stock... What's the longest it ever took you to get an order confirmation email from CC?
>>10596877>>10596878If I remember correctly, Jane Marple released Tribal Sambo first which was deemed insensitive. Little Cat Sambo was released later and they just replaced the character from the book with a black cat.
>>10596725I feel you anon, also US size 9. When I was in Japan the only store that sold shoes that fit me was Bodyline
>>10596725I am a size ten and fit into some LLs from brands(think tea parties/things with a lot of toe space).25.5 sizes are about a 8.5/9 depending on the brand. If you want to go that route look for used shoes and resell if they don't fit.If not Taobao, Bodyline, and Cotton Candy Feet are options. I haven't tried CC and have heard mixed reviews.
Shipping an AP bag and shoes. Would the humidity destroy them during a surface mail journey? I'd rather spend $20 more for safety than end up with peely pleather.
>>10596898If your items come from different stores they might be waiting for all the items to arrive at one location. I've waited up to 5 days to receive confirmation before. I don't think you have to worry about your item being out of stock cause whenever that's happened they told me it was out the day after I ordered.
>>10596981Thanks for the reply anon. I'm a bit worried because it's just one item, the delay seems weird. But hopefully it'll come soon.
>>10597004Remember to take into account the time difference, the time of day that the stores actually pack and ship, and the days off/holidays that each store has. It's rare, but I've had it take several days to get a proper confirmation/shipping email
Crossposting from the taobao thread but: >>>10596660Trying to find this blouse (pic related) which I saw at the bottom of this listing. Anyone know where I can get it? I can't find it in the related bar of the store. TIA!https://item.taobao.com/item.htm?spm=a1z10.1-c.w4004-1556110489.30.587d6cafpbBz2b&id=582292623735Still looking for the blouse and wondering if I should also post it in the WTB thread
>>10596898If I'm ordering one item, usually I get the manual confirmation 24 hours later, then shipping 24 hours after that. I live in the US and it's shipped by DHL.Are there any special shipping restrictions that changed for your country recently? CC customer service is really nice and I'd personally send them an email just saying "I placed order XXX on YYY. Is there an estimated date it will be shipped?" They usually respond within 24 hours (unless it's the weekend in Japan) and they've answered all my stupid questions. I use this contact form (you can probably email them directly too, not sure if it makes a difference): https://www.closet-child.com/guide/shopping/contactus/
>>10597069Thank you anon, I've just sent them a query (unluckily right on the weekend). Hoping for the best and that this doesn't mean the item was sold out and they forgot to refund me, it was a DD. For me as well CC has always confirmed in 24h for one item. Will update once they get back to me.
Do usakumya/kumakumya bags hold up well?
>>10597088Crossing my fingers for you! CC has replied to me before on weekends, but I think it might be based on availability of their English speaking staff. Worst case scenario, you'll have a reply on Monday (Japan time).
has anyone ever gotten a replica when ordering from Japanese second hand?
>>10597131Got a reply from CC! Turns out they sent the confirmation email but due to an error it never reached me. The item has already been shipped, I couldn't be more relieved. Thank you for your help anon!
Egl appropriate bedding? where to find, what would it be called? I’m down for some marie antoinette looking shit with bows and ruffles. Or something like twinkle journey print sheets?
>>10596510Is that just for dresses? I could barely fit into a quarter shirred skirt at a 68cm waist. Now that I'm at 73cm I doubted anything would fit but I don't know how much their shirred dresses stretch.
How I can wear Chocomint bow bangle bracelets without risking to losing them? I have tiny wrists and many types of bracelets except elastic beaded ones are very large on me. Wrist cuffs would help? I wear this type of bracelets also in jfashion non lolita coords, that means wrist cuffs aren't the final possible solution.
>>10597471Roma pri! I think also Franc Franc has similar items if I recall correctly.
Does LM have some bug where it only sends you an email for purchasing BIN items and not auctions? I recently won an auction that I didn't get a notification for, but items that I purchased immediately have consistently sent an email.
Where the fuck are the secrets already??
>>10597666They come out on Saturday night calm your tits
>>10597670It is Saturday night though
I’m eying up a cornet JSK (unshirred) with the 2005-2008 tag on it and was wondering if anyone knows the average measurements of cornet dresses from this period?
>>10597678It's still the afternoon in burgerland and every other country is irrelevant
Anyone know where I can get an old-school style cotton detachable sleeve blouse? doesn’t have to be genuine old-school or anything
>>10597701bodyline but they're probably out of stock by now
Do you usually tie bonnets and maxipad headdresses under your chin or behind your neck/at the base of the skull?
>>10597823Depends on the look I'm going for, but generally maxis get tied behind the neck secured with bobby pins along the backfacing edge and bonnets under the chin.
>>10597823I find tying it under the chin secures it better for me. If I don't want the ties to show, I do a half knot and loop it around my neck to tie in the back
>>10597823Under chin unless there's a bow on my chest and they compete too much
>>10597827>>10597828>>10597829Thank you anons
>>10597699pretty small, if you're above 85cm bust and 70cm waist it may not fit
I'm seeing a lot of length measurements listed like this on lolibrary, what do BC and BNP stand for?
>>10597910BC: Back Center / The length in the BC means the length of the product from the top to the hem in its back center.BNP: Back Neck Point / The length from the BNP means the length of the product from the base of the neck to its hem.
>>10597919Nice, thank you!
>>10597852I’m 86/68 so I might as well give it a go. I can always sell it if it doesn’t fit
Pleather cannot last over a decade without at least some peeling right?
>>10598225I have aliexpress purses that havent peeled for a decade but AP I know does.
>>10597823I find under the chin is unflattering on my face shape
Pretty stupid question, but I guess this is the place for it.What constitutes tea party shoes? Are they just mary janes with more elaborate, loliable elements? Is the only thing that sets apart mary janes from tea parties a bow?
>>10598253Hey are a much more elaborate kind of mary jane. Usually with frilly lacelike detailing, often more straps (that may or may not also be detailed), and with one or more bows.
Would these Demonias be decent in a gothic coord or just ita?
>>10598258Personally I think that stompier boots like that have to really, really suit the coord in order to work. Lolita itself is so specifically feminine that I feel like those boots only really work when the coord is less lolita and more gothic, especially more Western gothic influenced, with harder metal and leather elements throughout.I also think they tend to work better in EGA coords where the silhouette is longer and taller. I feel that tall boots tend to not balance out the skirt of a lolita coord very well. That's just my aesthetic preference. I've seen them done well, but I've more often seen them done poorly, so I would look up a lot of gothic coord dumps and see if you can find specific coords where they work and find the common thread.
>>10598262Thanks anon I thought that might be the case
Anyone have suggestions for higher-end platform mary janes that are made from real leather? Preferably comfortable to walk in so not Vivienne Westwood rocking horse shoes.
What is the best way to suggest an MTO or rerelease to Angelic Pretty? Is it worth it to email AP Paris/AP US? Or is it just hopeless either way?
How do you know what is a "wanted" or expensive piece and what isn't (old school wise)? I finally made my full list of dresses I would love to have someday but I'm not gonna throw every single one of them in the price check thread obviously. Is there maybe like a guide or something?
Any cute lolita hair tips for hair without bangs?
>>10598475look for listings to see what they sell for or what they have sold for in the past. Taadaa
>>10598531Thank you I really am stupid for not thinking about this earlier
>>10598523Don't use huge head bows. Stick to other accessories.
>>10598523look up Subject "without bangs" in the off-site archives for old inspo threads
How/where do I buy realistic bangs that blend in with my hair?
>>10598601you could probably get a human hair bang clip in at a normie hair store or site
