>well shit.
>nabs 'em.
Guess I'm owning mcd in the future.
>>
Not sure if someone is just posing as secret-information-anon or not, but there's already 4 cuts of Toy Fantasy (JSK, OP, salopette, skirt) and I really don't need more.
I can't imagine it'll be a good cut either with the recent stuff they've been putting out.
>>
>>10581338
I find the new cut cute. I always wanted something like that, so I am happy.
I assume it's going to be a limited release again (not 100% sure on this one).
>>
>>10581350
No. I don't think AP would ever make a cutsew OP using cotton. It just won't drape nicely like chiffon does. As far as I remember, most AP printed cutsew OPs had chiffon for the skirt part. The only exception that comes to mind is British Bear.
>>
Can we stop giving this anon the attention and (You)s they so clearly crave?
>>
>>10581360
Nah. Stuff like fancy hospital and wrapping cherry aren’t chiffon. There’s tons of “exceptions”, if you can even call them that.
>>
>>10581362
You're right. None of them use cotton though. What I was trying to say is that cutsew OPs normally use more lightweight polyether fabrics for the skirt part. Including chiffon but not limited to it.
>>
>>10581308

I don't want socks, I want all the matching plastic jewellery to the re-releases. Toy Fantasy giraffe and Sugary Carnival pony. Please AP please.
>>
>>10581371
The celestial Cutsew OP is knit cotton. So is another one I used to have but I’m blanking on the name
>>
Toy Fantasy anon with the comparison photos, you are a champ! It’s so fun to see the print differences, they really put a lot of love into the revisions!
>>
>>10581360
Can anons stop using chiffon when they mean polyester.
>>
>>10581405
I was talking about cutsew OPs that use original printed fabric.
>>
>>10581419
Thank you! I'm glad you liked seeing the differences!
>>
Please let this week's release be Little Bunny Strawberry. I want the bloodbath over with.
>>
>>10581850
I want Jelly Candy Toys + Nakayoshi Bunny MTO. I got all my refund money and stimulus and I'm ready to GO.
At this point it's pretty much guaranteed that Candy Fairy and Nakayoshi Bunny won't be ready til beginning or mid 2022.
I'll be 31. Ugh. Over here wasting away while AP gets their crap together.
>>
>>10581854
I'm thinking Nakayoshi Bunny or Candy Fairy, whatever's next, will probably be in April or later. There was the Wish Me Mell dress in December and Sugary Carnival in January, their factories probably need a break
>>
>>10581401
Honest question - I'm seeing a lot of people thirst after the giraffe necklace, and before the recent sweet boom, only a few people ever talked about wanting it. Have you wanted the necklace for a long time, or do you want it because it became popular?

Not trying to criticize anyone. I'm one of the people who wanted the necklace for a few years and finally got my hands on it and the ring in like 2018. It surprised me in 2020 when everyone started rabidly looking for it.
>>
>>10581888

It's not the popularity, and I'm not even into Toy Fantasy. But it being popular did mean a lot of girls post/talk about it, that's how I found out about it, and I just want it because it's darn cute, not because the popular girls have it. Does that make sense? Being popular only provided exposure so that I'm now aware this giraffe exists, it's not an excuse that makes it desirable by itself.

I assume the 2020 surge in interest is due to Toy Fantasy MTO -- probably a lot of girls are looking up old coords and then finding out what the matching set jewellery looked like. well, I'm biased, I think the giraffe is just cute so I think a lot of girls would love it if they saw it.
>>
>>10581893
Okay, that makes sense. I think exposure definitely plays a part.
>>
This week's release is an ugly easter egg.
>>
>>10581906
Secret-information-anon is that you?
If it's the Easter Egg dress in the look book, it's 100% ugly.
>>
>>10581906
when will we get JCT? Please S-I-A give us the news we want
>>
>>10581909
>is that you?
Yes.
>Easter Egg dress in the look book
I don't remember the exact name from the look book. It's the one with a sack cut OP. It definitely does look like an easter egg.
>>10581911
I will as soon as I have info on it. I'm looking forward to JCT myself.
>>
>>10581934
When are we getting Little Bunny Strawberry?
>>
>>10581934
Will there be more rereleases of old designs?
>>
>>10581934
Ok but are they going to rerelease milky planet? This is the only info I care about.
>>
>>10582068
considering MP is almost on the same level as SC in terms of hype and notoriety, if there was a rerelease I don't think AP would do it willy-nilly
(I hope)
>>
>>10581888
It's been pure unobtanium since release, it just hadn't been talked about for a few years. All the jewelry from that release, desu. The re-release and sweet boom have just made it a talking point again.
>>
>>10582096
>The year is 2031
>The lolita community is in ruins, scattered gulls paying $7,000 for a milky planet in poor condition to relive muh 2010 OTT
>AP still going strong putting out 10x weekly releases but it is basically no better quality than wish lolita now
>I scroll through Neo-FB for the update on the latest release
>My eyes go wide, my hands start shaking
>Milky Planet MTO for 30th anniversary!
>Finally, my dreams have come true after decades!
>Scroll down a little more
>It’s the second release cuts...
>...In Polyester
>I kill myself

Placing bets now. It’s gonna happen this way.
>>
>>10582122
I know I'm in the minority but I really liked the second release cuts; the maid style and apron of the OP was hella cute. Also liked the addition of the Navy colorway and a more typical AP Sax. If they had kept the scallops on the bottom it would have been perfect.
>>
>>10582122
gonna need a cyberpunk 2077 trailer edit but with second hand prices, bloodbaths and dress quality pics
>>
>>10582128
My personal preference is original release colors in the special set cut with the big ribbon. I also really like the 2nd release OP, but think it would be even cuter with scalloping and maybe dots instead of the stripe fabric :)
>>
>>10582128
>>10582185
You are both sinners.

For real though, the sax of the rerelease is disgusting. It's a weird neon-y color and doesn't match anything.

>>10582122
>30th anniversary in 2031
>I'll be 40 years old
AP please I can't wait that long
>>
>>10582188
Agreed. The sax from the second release is terrible. I don’t know how anyone can like it.
>>
>>10582188
>>10582190
I don't own it, but it reminds me of Dream Sky's sax, which I own and it looks cute.

>>10582185
I wish the rerelease would have kept yellow and also introduce navy
>>
Does anyone else feel like Moco Moco bunnies is gonna get an MTO or rerelease? I don’t know why but I have that feeling
>>
>>10582190
I owned the op for a little while. It was nice and flashy for decora-ish looks, but I sold it when I was able to get a more pastel colorway. I kept the apron though, haha! Best of both worlds.
>>
>>10582282
I want a fatty-cut special set
>>
>>10582282
please no, it's fuck-ugly
>>
>>10582282
I wish because I'm still desperately looking for the socks, but AP does this thing where they never rerelease the most popular stuff. It's always the weird in-between releases and get rereleased again.
>>
>>10582282
I don't think it was popular enough. Look at what they've done in the past.
>>
>>10582282
I dont give a shit about the dresses but I can pray for more of the bunny tag jewelry.
>>
>>10582362
I wish AP didn’t hate rereleasing jewelry that’s not a boring heart shape.
>>

her name is shopgirl-chan you whores
>>
>>10582367
And your name is stinky poo poo pants
>>
>>10582188
>>10582190
I own the sax and it's stunning irl. The blue from the first release, which I also owned, was a bit muted and gray-ish imo. The re-release sax is definitely not for anybody not ready to commit to some full blow OTT though, since it'd be tough to coord toned down. The glitter on that color really stands out though.

I think the worst colorways are the special sets. Both of them are really dulled and muted. I owned the pink and saw the purple irl. It just looks weird. I wondered for a long time if maybe those were faulty runs in the fabric manufacturing, since fabric minimums for screen printing (the glitter) are 1500+ meters. The colors are just so off.
>>
>>10581308
I want tights
>>
>>10582390
same, i'm surprised people don't like it. imo the bright color suits the feeling of the print a lot more. it's like a space-y neon icecream pipe dream, and that's the appeal of it to me.

bought the lav special set for a deal and now i'm a little worried. i don't like typical ap lavender though so if it's different than usual maybe it'll be fine.
>>
>>10582390
The lavender special set is a really horrible unflattering cut that only looks good on really petite flat chested people. I sold it once I realized how bad it made me look.
>>
>>10582390
Second release sax is superior to first release sax because of how much the print stands out on it. I really like the cuts of the first release, but the colors are so muted and boring, the only good one is yellow. I wish they'd have made the second release the same cuts as the first release, but in second release colors.
>>
>>10582520
The pink 1st release cut is extremely saturated and bright in comparison to stock photos irl. Pink and yellow will always be the best colourways
>>
Anyone know what’s happening with the Freshly Picked Strawberries MTO in Japan? Did they get theirs yet?
>>
>>10582897
I've had mine for weeks

>>10583194
This blouse is darling, but I wish it came in more colors
>>
>>10583377
Why are you so mad about this lmao
>>
>>10583692
Nta but because people have been wailing for years about how AP USA doesn't get items and they are always completely wrong. The whole myth started because items sell out so fast and get unlisted from the site, so people assume they were never stocked, when the truth is they were just too damn slow, or missed the correct release. Its extremely rare that they don't. It's always just delayed or paired with a different release. It's frustrating saying the same thing over and over again and people don't catch on.
>>
>>10583530
This is pathetic.
>>
>>10583185
Three non-prints in a row, how unusual. I guess it's not really surprising though since there were only five prints in the fashion show lineup (Wish Me Mell was an MTO that took reservations in December, so it doesn't really count). There's only two prints left, besides probably some rereleases
>>
Okey but how is it with AP Paris? When do they get this release?
>>
>>10583741
Today @ 6pm VIP, 6:30pm general release (frog time)
>>
did anyone in the paris general release get a easter blouse? i saw it go up but immediately out of stock except the white, but there's no add to card button on the white lmao

Question for y’all, what was your favorite AP release and why? Did you manage to snag anything? Just curious!
>>
>>10583862
Okay cool, thanks, I know.
It's just so bad. I'm almost angry that people are buying it and tricking AP into thinking this is the direction they should go. I don't want AP to be encouraged by this shit selling out.
>>
>>10583868
Clearly if it’s selling out lots of people think it’s cute and want things like it. I’m glad AP will think things like that are in demand because I like it. Sperg out harder.
>>
>>10583868
>I'm almost angry that people are buying it and tricking AP into thinking this is the direction they should go.
...how are people "tricking AP" by buying something that they like? and why are you so bitter about a single release?
>>
>>10583869
>sperg harder
It's pretty tiring that your replies are so predictable. I don't know - sorry your dream dress is ugly?
I'm convinced that recent sellouts of bad releases are due to a large influx of new people in the fashion (whether it be them buying it firsthand or scalpers grabbing it because they know any dumb newbie is thirsty for AP). I know I'm not alone thinking this release is godawful.
>>
>>10583868
So what you’re saying is AP shouldn’t listen to what’s popular, they should listen to your tastes instead?
>>
>>10583871
Anon god damn it's just a single dress and every, and I mean every release has always had people who think the dress/print in question is awful and bad. Let people enjoy things.
>>
>>10583871
>dream dress

Didn’t say that. Why are you so triggered by this release being popular?
>>
>>10583870
I guess I'm bitter about the massive amount of bad releases. It's not just this release, but it's another in a long line of disappointing ones.
All I'm saying is that when something sells out, a company naturally thinks "that was successful, let's do it again." And yes, they were successful, because there's just so many people trying to buy every AP new release for clout, that there's no real discerning between "good" and "bad" releases anymore.
It bothers me that so many people are saying "it's cute" ...and so, that's it? It has some semblance of a pastel dress and then it's instantly worth buying? I haven't heard anyone say "it's good."
It's just my honest opinion. It's a throwaway release.
>>
>>10583878
You sound severely autistic. Get help.
>>
>>10583879
>>10583876
I feel like if anything, you should be happy I hate it so much? It's easier for you to buy that way.

Do people really get this upset when I say an AP release is ugly?
>>
>>10583878
I understand, despite these other anons disagreeing. I've been in the fashion for 10+ years and bought AP. Their recent releases aren't as well made.

These newfaglitas are just buying for the clout. I get it. But brand be that way. People are just going to buy for the tag.
>>
>>10583880
It’s not that you’re saying it’s ugly, it’s how autistic you’re being about it.
>>
>>10583880
You are very free to call it ugly because god knows I don't like some of APs releases either but at the moment it just sounds like "noooo don't buy it it's bad and you're sending a wrong signal to AP we don't want more of these and me and all my friends hate it stop tricking AP into thinking this is what we want"
>>
>>10583882
You are strangely obsessed with autism
>>
>>10583885
No I’m not. This is 4chan and autism is a common insult.
>>
>>10583881
Also just to add on. It reminds me starkly of an easter dress I wore when I was a baby. Likely other cultures outside of Baptist Christian US is going to like it, because they weren't plagued with these easter dresses as a child. The fashion *is worldwide* after all.
>>
>>10583887
Have you finally realized? Baby dresses like this are exactly what sweet lolita fashion is based on. They’re not unique to American Baptists at all.
>>
>>10583884
This, it sounds like „Stop buying things you like, start buying the things I like so we get more of it!“.

>>
>>10583896

I never noticed that they put an egg on the bodice of the jsk, it's really cute! I wish I was less of a poorfag and could buy seasonal dresses, having an easter egg coord seems really fun (though the dress being made out of chiffon would make me scared of snagging it)

what does that have to do with what they're saying. read up the thread if you're going to jump in
>>
There is no way to get Sugary Carnival mto right now right? I probably have to wait 1 - 2 years until they’re on the market again right? I wasn’t sure I wanted it when they announced but I can’t handle not having it in my wardrobe
>>
>>10584380
Fuck off to the stupid questions thread newfag
>>
>>10584382
It’s ap related you dumb cunt
>>
>>10584380
no, you can't get the mto anymore. you're stuck buying someone's faded one or waiting for people to get their own mtos and sell them for $500.
>>
>>10584383
Tbf anon, this was a really dumb question.

I'll spoonfeed you though.

No you can't get the MTO now, I don't know how new you are to the fashion, but MTOs have a limited timeframe in which you can order which passed ages ago. Just wait for October when they are shipped. Every time there's an MTO like this people buy and then realise they don't want it anymore so they sell. As long as you're willing to pay stupid prices, you'll be able to get a SC when they come out later this year. I don't know why you want it though, guaranteed everybody will be sick of all the coords come October.

I really suggest you lurk more because this was a seriously dumb newbie question.
>>
>>10584383
But it’s a retarded question that belongs in the stupid questions thread.

At least we actually own brand and aren't teenage lolitas at heart. Next you're gonna ask what Lace Market is.

This recent influx of milky planets is very interesting to me. It makes me wonder if the going price will go down because of supply, seeing as how there's apparently so many people willing to sell.
>>
>>10584485
i think people were probably just holding on to them and not willing to sell unless the price is right

and right now, the price is very very right. the jsks up right now aren't getting any bites yet though. i would bite but i hate halterneck cuts.
>>

I kind of want to give into the Milky Planet craze and get a halter one, but I have yet to see the yellow come up. There was one person selling their yellow but they were doing some bullshit auction via Instagram for it.

Looks like a limited release for Shinjuku.
I'm happy I don't like apron skirts. I didn't want the headache of trying to get something store-exclusive again.
>>
>>10585084
I, on the other hand, love it and am doomed to not have it due to that. Win some, lose some.
>>
>>10585084
Not surprising, all the really good stuff is store limited now. Too bad, it’s super cute.
>>
>>10585084
Am I the only one who thinks it looks gross?

I usually love apron cuts, but something about the bow, the lace around the heart and the weird straps is stopping me from liking it.
>>
>>10585090
Ayrt, nah I don't like it either. I think the original cuts of Toy Fantasy are vastly superior. But I wonder if this cut will be the most coveted/command the highest price now that it'll be the most "exclusive."

Milky fawn was a blogger you dumbass.
Why is Milky Chan suddenly popular?
Simply because its a sweet print?
>>
>>10581342
im sorry for doubting you please come back and give us more information
>>
>>10585161
I think it’s been popular for a while but the sweet boom elevated it hardcore.
Tbh, I was never really a big fan of the Milky Chan series, but I can see why others enjoy it.
>>
>>10585161
Probably because it's an old Ap mascot that hasn't been in anything Ap put out for a lot time. But also what >>10585202 said.
>>
>>10585262
I wish they'd bring Milky-Chan back for a new print, I'm bias since OG Milky-chan is my favorite release and I've collected a lot of it but I'd love to see her cute little self in a new print. Fawns>Bunnies
>>
>>10585294
I like just about every AP mascot and character but I definitely think milky chan was one of the cutest ones that isn't associated with toy prints.
>>
>>10585161
Guess where she got the name from, dumbass
>>
>>10585302
Nayrt but if it's generally accepted to refer to Milky Fawn by her online name and the full print as the first two words/mascot name (Milky Chan), of course people will do that to keep the two straight. Not saying it's worth wasting the time calling people newfags over it, but there is an obvious reason you'd want to have distinct names for each: one is a person and one is a dress.
>>
>>10585303
that's not even her online name anymore, alannah quit like 7 years ago and is completely irrelevant to lolita. she's been gone longer than she was wearing it. i forgot that was even her username/handle.
>>
>>10585336
She’s one of the most iconic western lolitas and is still talked about to this day

>>
>>10585445
My Japanese is jouzu enough to know that Google translate does awful with even the simplest Japanese half the time. I'm also just lazy. Fun to just post and speculate and let someone else confirm if they want than go look for the posts.
>>
>>10585428
I know this is probably bait, but in the case that you do sell them, don't direct message people like >>10585453
Just auction them. If you want the most money, always auction.
>>
>>10585464
I'm not baiting. I didn't think they were worth money since it was one of those prints you could buy for under £200 for years. I'm worried about a burger or crumpet buying it since they have international shipping issues.

>>10585453
Ayrt. Anon you could post your offer at the very least.
>>
>>10585447
Luckily we are not talking about anything more complex than this.
>>
>>10585509
Sorry, I didn't mean to be rude or offend without posting an offer! After seeing the price estimate of over $800 if you were to auction and replies from other anons, I do agree that it would definitely be better to do that, as I hadn't had that much in mind initially. If you do, I'll bid on it for sure, but now sending an offer lower than the estimates given seems rude. So, I will keep an eye out to see if you do auction it! Sorry again.
>>
>>10585794
It’s gonna go for $1200 now because stimmy

doubting over $800 for pink, the skirt is only at like $200 rn on LM. but there could be a turnaround like with twinkle mermaid, so who knows anymore honestly.
>>
>>10585859
the skirt isn’t nearly as popular so that may be why. the jsk in black and brown sold for $500-$600 and the pink could easily get $200 more than that
>>
>>10585859
That auction has three days left on it. Are you retarded? Bidding usually shoots up quickly at the end of the listing

>>
>>10583057
The time is nigh.
>>10583208
Dunno about this one. Color Scheme Gingham is less likely to get a rerelease than Topping Heart. Topping Heart has the same heart tulle fabric that AP is planning to use for Candy Fairy. So maybe if they have enough fabric left after the MTO, they'll use it to produce extra Topping Heart dresse since they seemed popular. This is pure speculation from my side though.

Okay but if this isn't an MTO, why is the ETA in October? Seems more like they just have a low production cap. I don't think these are leftovers or they are making 10 dresses just for the US.

>>10586537
I would also like to know when.
>>
>>10586543
Because there's a difference between a reservation and an MTO?

With an MTO there's unlimited (or very high limit) slots. ie if 2,476 girls ordered the SC MTO, they all get one plus whatever extras AP orders. With a reservation, there's a limit. Only x number of dresses will be made, so you can try to reserve one of those dresses in advance.

It's the difference between ordering a slice of pizza yourself and saying "AP, please set aside a slice for me."
>>
>>10586458
Thank you for being the real MVP, secret information anon.

You are the only reason I can sleep soundly on Wednesday nights when AP hasn't released news yet. Looks like tonight I can sleep early. I like solids, but not anything post 2015. And I already have the Topping Heart jewelry, so I guess I'm good?
>>
>>10586549
I understand, it's just a muddy area. I would still call this a limited MTO with a low production cap.
Lately they have been using the word "reservation" for things that are readily in stock and AP US/Paris will get in 1-2 weeks, then shipped to people who "reserved." In this case, it's obvious that AP hasn't even made the dresses yet.
>>
>>10586551
>In this case, it's obvious that AP hasn't even made the dresses yet.

Uhh they obviously already released it in Japan previously so the dresses could easily already have been made, and if BABY's timeline for shipping to their SF store is any indication, the timing of for example surface mail shipping for leftover stock could be so long that it just won't arrive for months.
>>
>>10586458
I would be a lot more excited for the jewelry if I felt confident I could actually get it, but I'm already dreading the bloodbath It's nearly impossible to get AP jewelry now.

It's not a print, but can you tell us if it's new or a rerelease?
>>
>>10586562
AP released a limited amount in person which sold out instantly, saw the high demand, and made more - that's where >>10586543 is coming from. AP most likely ordered extras with the MTO orders, and you can try to reserve those extras, which won't be done til Oct.
>>
>>10586574
I guess that still doesn't make it a MTO. It makes it leftovers able to be reserved, which is not the same as a MTO with a low cap, it's likely a ridiculously low amount compared to the smallest of MTOs and the dresses are in production or scheduled.
>>
>>10586551
>>10586578
do mtos even have a cap?
>>
>>10586623
Yes, it’s just very high so it rarely gets hit.
>>
>>10586458
Thank you for your input, shopgirl-chan! I appreciate it a lot. Guess I'm just gonna have to save up for the Color Scheme Gingham series & try to get it secondhand.
I'd do the AP USA run, but I don't exactly know if it'll sell out on there or not, plus I get paid a week after it & can't handle bloodbaths well...so saving up for it is my best choice.
