lol what an ass hat.

How do people not know how auctions work? Like, who comments on an auction that has been bid up to $450 to tell the seller they need to lower the price? I agree it's a bad alteration but what a retard
>>
>>10561993
Probably a poor fatty chan
>>
>>10561987
I mean, the person is stupid enough to have their user name set as their personal email so the bar is pretty low here.
>>

>>
Oh man i feel bad for this poor wtf burando...thing, seriously wtf is it though.
I’m kinda thinking to get it and use it as a picnic dress. i feel sad for it if you can ever feel sad for an item
But also wtf burando
>>
>>10562017
It’s just a striped sailor op stfu sweetfag
>>
>>10562034
Now i’m confused, do you think this actually looks nice?? Is that why it’s been on Lm for a while with the price steadily decreasing?
I’m aware it’s a striped sailor op but why does it look like a garbage bag on the model? Sleeves are so loose and baggy. There are ties on the waist, did they not tie them for the op pic? Or is that what it looks like tied?
Maybe it looks better in person.
>>
>>10562017
Maybe I’m just retarded but I think it wouldn’t look so bad if there was a defined waist and a less frumpy shape?
>>
>>10562061
the buttons are also gross
>>
>>10562017
Would be cute...for lolita maternity wear
>>
>>10562082
Same anon, just a few drinks later. Yeah the buttons look like shit. Those could probably be removed and replaced but what won’t fix much. desu that one Bodyline OP looks cuter than this.
>>
>>10562039
It looks completely fine you sperg. Guess you don't understand how classicfags operate. IW has released similar cuts many times, as have other classic brands. A lot of IW looks baggy on the models (see modern IW) but look perfectly fine on normal lolitas.
>>
>>10562039
You'd be surprised how many dresses from classic brands are in perfectly good condition and quality but don't get any buyers. The demand just isn't there. Like >>10562034, I think it's cute too, but I have no need or space for it in my wardrobe, so I will not buy it.
>>
>>10562133
It blows my mind that people sell etc, milk, etc. For $200+ dollars. I never see them move on lm either. Most of the time it looks like normie junk to me, except some of the cuter small berry prints, balloons, etc. I say this as a classic lolita...
>>
>>10562017

It's not my favorite, but it definitely doesn't belong in wtf burando. Model needs to pull down her petti though.
>>
>>10562017
this completely normal op is what people consider wtf burando these days?
the absolute state of lolita
>>
>>10562161
Classic is the new “ita” for newfags. We’ve seen this over and over recently with people calling totally normal classic coords ita.
>>
>>10562133
It's true. I can't move any of my sales so I've just stopped relisting, I'm going to wait and see if the market for classic ever gets better.

On the other hand, it means I can frequently scoop up great pieces for cheap.

It's funny how smug she is about it, if you price things too high it just won't sell. Especially when that is just a generic gingham dress. But maybe someone will be desperate enough to get it, who knows.
>>
>>10562628
Kinda sucks bc this dress is on my wishlist (as well as the blue colorway) but I wouldn't buy it above $200, and certainly not with that attitude
>>
>>10562633
I'd admit that I don't always price my pieces at prices that'll get them moving fast, but you can just let the listing sit till it sells or lower your price.
The buyer taunting seems unnecessary here, since it's not even a rare dress.
>>
>>10562628
This is very tacky. You can just politely say in the listing itself that the price is firm and not to wait around for a price drop
>>
>>10562746
I follow her on Instagram and she's also very openly autistic though, so maybe that's why it comes off badly. Maybe that wasn't her intention.
But I agree with you that she could have just put it in the listing instead of making weird assumptions about the people who liked her listing.
>>
Idk why but this caption just sent me
>>
>>10562628
Honestly my first thought when I seen this was, maybe consider people want to buy but just don't currently have the funds? I watch shit all the time that I don't necessarily plan on buying at that time or expect a price reduction. Not everything sells immeditely so someone might want to go back and buy it at a later date if it's still there. Which judging by the time left on her listing, this has been up for a while at least?

lmao "weird assumptions" would be right. The irony here is that the pricing makes it so that if I had a "generic gingham" lying around, I'd probably be one of the watchers -- if hers sold, then I'd put my generic up for sale.

So definitely, in addition to all the others who: watch several dresses and then chose one to actually buy, watch them as a wishlist, watch them to check pricing (future buyers), watch them instead of buying them as shopaholic therapy, etc etc, there's very real reasons over half the watchers don't actually want the dress at all.

One thing I will never understand: If scalpers really trigger you so much, you can just not buy it??? It's not insulin.

I mean yeah it's annoying when prices go up, but if someone else is willing to pay more for something than you are, tough shit. Yeah it's stupid to ask $100 for free plates, but if no one buys it, then she just looks stupid and you can take satisfaction from that.

I swear this thread is the perfect intersection of newfag and poorfag. Yes lolita costs money, and anyone who has been around long enough knows that what goes up eventually comes down.
>>

This. So many sperges about the fact that some of us would easily spend 600+ on what's trendy rn. As an oldfag on a budget, I've just accepted that I can't afford to buy 2010 sweet rn. It's not "unfair" and the community isn't "toxic" or "scalpers" for selling things at market prices I can't afford. If you *really* love the dress, and you're not just in it for the clout of having Milky chan or Milky Planet while it's trendy, just wait for the tides to turn and snap it up later.

>>
I think balanced scalping (up to 150% mark up) is good.
Shopping from Mercari can get expensive quick, fees and shipping add an extra $100.
Buying a few items here and there to resell makes it a lot more affordable and gives people who don’t want to deal with shopping services a chance to buy.
>>
>>10563828
haven't had the issue with lolita items specifically but i've bought printed tshirts that come with a strong vinegar smell. seems to come from the dyeing process iirc. washing it should get rid of the smell without too much trouble
>>
>>10564042
This. At the very least, i want to cover the cost of shipping. If I buy something from Mercari and don't end up liking or wanting it, I'm already taking a big loss just by trying to sell it at the price i originally bought it for. In an ideal situation I'd want to pocket a little bit just for the trouble of importing it
>>

>>10564042
>>10564051
Who cares about shipping, or fees? It’s not that bad, just sell it for whatever you can get and buy something else. Trying to scrounge up every penny for something is pretty peak poorfag behavior.
>>
>>10564105
Yeah I have stuff from 15+ years ago that’s yellowed and I try to keep it clean, it just happens
>>
>>10564051
Oh no anon. This thread is for people who expect to pay no more than 15% of the value and who honestly believe that other people's time and effort have no value.

I already have to drive like 40 minutes to the Post Office. I'm not also going to lose money on the importing. I buy a ton on mercari, and when it doesn't suit me, or I just don't want it anymore I sell it. I've been accused of scalping constantly even when I price quite reasonably. After gas, import and SS fees, I usually end up losing money not even counting the time it takes out of my day.
>>
>>10564140
If it's only a few pennies, then why don't you cough it up when you buy it secondhand?
>>
>>10564142
Honestly, when I buy stuff and it doesn’t work out for me I don’t really care if I lose money or not, it is what it is. I’d rather just sell it for whatever I could get and get some thing else, instead of trying to calculate exactly every penny I spent on fees gas and time. Who fucking cares? You lose what? 50, 60, 70 bucks? Big deal.
>>
>>10564144
I do if I really want something. But I do most my shopping on yj and Mercari. I rarely buy from lace market
>>
>>10564145
I have an extremely demanding work schedule and I work in M/A so it's not any real effort to calculate. But with my schedule as it usually is, I'm not going to take time out of my day to manage a LM sale, AND lose money doing it. It's not even necesarily the money, it's the principle. Maybe I'm a cheapass, but if you don't want to buy it, then don't buy it. But don't pretend that everyone charging the actual cost of an item is a scalper just because it's more than you want to pay.
>>
>>10564150

You do not have to sell it, just donate it then. Why are you making it sound like it's a heavy cross that you have to bear? No one is making you buying stuff on mercari that could or could not fit, and no one is forcing you to sell it.

>don't buy if you're not willing to lose any money
funny how that apparently doesn't seem to apply to everyone
>>
Can we just agree that people generally selling clothing after they enjoy it are entitled to sell at market rate but scalpers deliberately buying a large portion of the stock to artificially inflate prices are assholes? It's not a hard concept but y'all keep wanting ctp for $50
>>
>>10564360
This. I bought a pair of NWT AP shoes on Mercari for ~$38 and got accused of scalping for selling them on LM for $100, including shipping after they didn't quite fit. Since EMS was dead, shipping to the USA alone was about $42 (Yes even after accounting for the other items in the order cause DHL is a bitch and Id already waited for about 3 months to see if EMS or something else would come back), plus the ~$16 it costs to ship in the USA. Add in my 300 yen shopping fee, and the shitty PayPal conversion rate and I'm actually losing a few bucks. I don't really care about the money but I get real fucking heated when people accuse me of scalping when I am literally losing a few bucks by selling to them.

Literally my shopping service refused to even try to ship Seamail because the ports were so backed up it was estimated to arrive in 6 months. Even then, sea mail would have been $27 Fuck off poorfag.
>>
>>10564384
It's not like the buyer wouldn't have to have also paid those same fees in getting the item to the USA/Euro. This is what I'll never understand about complaints of "scalping" or whatever from Mercari.

Even if you were able to buy that item yourself, you'd still have to pay the markup for importing and SS fees. It's the dead giveaway that poorfags have no idea what the real cost is for items on Mercari. And if no one bites the bullet on those costs then the item gets snapped up in Japan and never even makes it to the western market.

>>10564375

Does Yamato/UPS not exist outside of America/maybe Canada? Cause my SS and WW both use Yamato, which is generally reliable; I only use DHL when shipping from China (FedEx always causes problems) or with CDJapan cause it's pretty cheap with them.
>>
>>10564368

Do you like chinese scalpers who buy up the entire stock in jeans and a stretched out salopette anon?
>>
>>10564409
wut
>>
>>10564405
I've never had Yamato as an option. It also doesn't really matter. People aren't obligated to eat costs so you can have cheap burando. Period.
>>
>>10564348
Losing fifty bucks isn’t really a big deal unless you’re a poorfag
>>
>>10564150
I’m not calling anyone a scalper, I just don’t think it’s a big deal to lose a few bucks on a dress
>>
>>10564412
y'all are really going out of your way to be difficult at this point. a one time loss of $50 isn't a huge deal, but if you're losing $50 or more with every dress you sell, that adds up quick and is easily enough to cover the cost of another, brand new dress. Personally, I would rather have that money to do so. Not all of us are dumbasses with no concept of money
>>
>>10564411
>People aren't obligated to eat costs so you can have cheap burando
This.
>>10564412
Then cough up the 50 bucks and quite complaining anon.
>>
>>10564411
Oh, I wasn't even speaking in reference to scalping and all, just expensive shipping in general right now, Yamato isn't much more than EMS would be for me for most mid size items so it is cheaper for me to buy from JP secondhand sites very often for what I want.

At the same time I don't mind people bringing items into the western market since it helps make it easier to have prices and info to reference later. If someone overcharges for something or has practices that I dislike, I don't buy from them, which is I assume what most people do?
>>
>>10564419
Oh my fucking god did you even read the thread? I don’t care about paying a little extra for some thing that I really want. I just don’t understand people that try to squeeze every penny that they can get Out of a sale, and end up not able to sell the item for a long ass time. I myself would rather get it Off my hands as quickly as possible so I could buy something else
>>
>>10564423
This. Like the infinite amount of bid sales lately just to inch out every door they can for little stupid items.

It's one thing for an item that's trendy right now but most items LM feel like they're set to bid with poorfags trying to suck out every dollar they can, without a Buy it now option.
>>
>>10564437
bid sales end quickly though? >>10564423 is right but you sound like a poorfag
>>
>>10564411
I never said they were. It's your choice to eat unnecessary costs and charge it to buyers. You'll still get called a scalper. Scalpers will still be complained about no matter how much you justify your inflated prices.
>>
>>10564459
You're also not the anon they responded to there, I was the one who brought up Yamato and like I said here >>10564422 I was just mentioning there are reliable COVID era shipping options that don't completely fuck you price wise.
>>
I dunno, of course not everyone should think the way I do, but I see a lolita as a hobby/entertainment/extravagance and I kinda came to terms that there will be a loss of money here and there. Not everything I get is supposed to be either worn to death or sold with a profit, that goes for normie clothes too. Maybe I'm just not very wise in financial sense and other anons are actually right when they count every penny and charge buyers for gas they spent to drive to the post office. Personally I just stopped buying lolita for a while when I realized I can only get a fraction of a cost back if I sell them (I bought not very popular non-print items to begin with).

I was the one who commented about donating, and I did not mean $300 dresses of course, but some cheaper items after they got a lot of use. I give away accessories I do not want to lolitas in my local comm, we also do swap meets once in a year or so. I gave away couple of items that did not fit me to a local lolita for free, and my friends also gave me dresses for free (slightly damaged or unpopular burando). I do not think that I'm entitled to burando for cheap or for free, I guess I'm just not very enterprenerial by nature. Not saying that everyone must do they same way if they are successful in selling, but if selling is too much hustle maybe it's better to reconsider how much you buy?
>>
I’m in hell. I sold two things but I mixed up the packages. Buyer 1 got his first and let me know something was wrong. I gave him options of a full refund and walk away (and keep wrong item) or me trying to get the packages back and get his correct item to him and the other item back to buyer 2. He chose package swap. I contacted buyer 2 who was into the package swap as well. Buyer 2 worked with me and I paid for the package to get sent back to me and I immediately sent it to buyer 1 but it’s stuck in the mailing system due to the storms even though I paid for priority mail. Buyer 1 has ghosted me and stopped replying to messages and opened up a PayPal claim instead. Sent a message through PayPal simply stating hr threw away the shoes I accidentally sent hi
but he won’t acknowledge the fact that his package is on its way and is acting like I haven’t sent him like 15 messages through PayPal updating him with tracking and what was going on every step up the way. I’ve fully refunded buyer 2. I know it’s my fault this happened but buyer 1 is such a duplicitous cunt. I’ve already in the negative by paying to mail a package twice. I’m just so upset that he dealt with me in such bad faith after I did my best to do right by him and buyer 2 did too even though she doesn’t even know that person or me

>>10564511
I had a package mixup happen once and it ended up okay and swapped properly; I'm so sorry you had to deal with a shitty buyer anon. Fuck men desu.
>>
>>10564368

Not every inflated price is due to scalpers. Honeycake infamously only got popular after the fact, I think AP had to have sales for it too. So yes, it is a bit different between a market price floating higher due to demand vs some scalpers buying 100 dresses at once and hoarding them to sell at scalped prices.
>>
>>10564512
Nta but i feel like i’m the only seller i’ve seen on LM who puts in my tos that i specifically won’t sell to men. I always felt weird about it. But its good to see other people also do this?

>>10564511
Shit anon that sucks and i’m sorry to hear that
>>
>>10564522
I don’t specifically say men. It’s easy to word it so you can skirt around outright saying it. Right to refuse sale for whatever reason etc. I’d feel disgusting if I ever sold to a man.
>>
>>10564437
Wtf. I use auctions when I legit don’t know how to price an item. Besides, what’s the alternative? Leaving money on the table for no particular reason and letting someone else scalp it?

>>10564459
>inflated prices
Anon, charging what an item costs is not “inflated”
>>
>>10564526
Oh gotcha, do you think its bad to outright say it? I have been able to sell things without issue so far, but just wondering.
What do you do if a man does try to buy from you? Just cancel invoice and relist? Do you say anything?
>>
>>10564526
I just say I reserve the right to refuse a sale for any reason, it's pretty standard. Even my dentist has a sign that says they can refuse service for any reason.
>>
This thread has gone over the same thing for like 6 months. It’s kinda interesting as an old fag. Every time the market shifts and prices go up for certain items there’s always a following scalper witch hunt. Yawn. No one outside this thread actually gives a fuck.
>>
>>10564511
Fuck I'm so sorry anon. This is literally the worst nightmare and the reason why I keep checking addresses 10 times like someone with an OCD.
Also with the paypal case, if no one is giving in, they usually settle with the buyer having to send it back on their cost. Calling paypal also helps in cases like this to not let the buyer fuck you over.
Also name and shame the scrote please. Everyone deserve to avoid him.
>>
>>10564529

You poor soul. I will never forget the time she scammed me out $15. I let it go because she was so insufferable I’d rather let the money go. She then tried to force me to sell to her again and I would have rather lit the item on fire than do that song and dance again.

>>
>>10564548
Who cares? You still look like a crazy poorfag when you go on assuming you know exactly how much they paid.

I honestly think people should price however they like without getting shit over it, if their price truly sucks, then no one will buy and they'll lower it. Honestly, I've found pricing high to be a really great way to get around cheapos hassling me to lower shipping costs, or allow payment plans. I've sold some of my prized dresses for well over 1k, and each time it's been an excellent transaction. Every single time I price something desirable even a little on the lower side these days I get messages asking me to do things on the cheap or devalue for customs. So yeah, I charge whatever price I think will scare off anyone annoying.
>>
>>10564364
idk I think there's a difference between charging $100 on a pair of shoes you bought for around that much (an expected price to pay for AP tea party shoes secondhand where they retail at around $160 - $200) vs paying $100 + shipping for a plate that was a free novelty gift and was bought for $25

>>
>>10564592
Yeah, I go by what I would have paid. If it's overpriced, I don't buy. If the markup is ridiculous, it's obvious.

>>10564640
>You must be poor
I don't buy your shit, I know how to use an fs and ss. It's not hard.
>>
>>10564592
>if their price truly sucks, then no one will buy and they'll lower it.
This. People in this thread seem to have forgotten about basic economics. Rn it’s very much a sellers market for sweet. If I have a new milky planet, I only need one buyer to think my price is good. Any price that attracts loads of buyers is actually a huge inefficiency. I’ve got time, so I start high and slowly lower until somebody bites.

This is not the kind of market where there are lots of substitutes for goods, and if you sell a piece like that you may not ever be able to find it in new condition again. So of course I’m going to make it worth my while to sell because t b h I really don’t care if 99% of people can’t afford my dress, I only need one buyer.
>>

I’ve had really good sales lately. I think people are seeing a couple specific AP prints going for a lot and they think the markets really high in general and are over pricing. I just put up a bunch of random stuff some sweet, some old-school, some closer to classic and it all sold pretty fast
>>
>>10565338
Yeah, but it was black, a notably more popular color (and more wearable with other dresses than the random dark pink) and it was already in the western market. Plus when it comes to headbows, $100 vs $150 is a big difference.

It’s not just AP. I bought three baby pieces of from Chinese secondhand and 2 were replicas. One was a cape, and I could tell immediately. It had the logo stitched in, but the material was WAY off. The other was the older cotton Christmas jsk. The only reason why I could tell is because I already own it in the white/pink color way and the print was enlarged on the replica. The fabric also wasn’t quite the same as the typical baby double gauze style cotton. Replicas are a huge problem out of China, and they’re not always designated as replicas by price or title. Neither of them were cheap or listed as a replica and since it’s across borders you’re basically sol.
>>
>>10565424
this is why im not buying from xianyu. too risky.
>>
>>10565424
I have been away from the fashion a few years. When did the replica situation get this bad?
>>
>>10565427
Around 4-6 years ago, during the chiffon boom, replicas started getting better and better where they got more difficult to tell apart from pictures. Chiffon was much easier for them to copy. Then they started adding inside tags and even fake AP tags nowadays.
>>
>>10565424
Did they have the brand tags too?
>>
>>10565429
I get and don't get why AP still sticks with their polyester prints when they are easier to replicate. I know their customer base supposedly wants poly, but this can't be good for the secondhand market.
>>
>>10565434
why would AP care about the secondhand market tho
>>
>>10565431
Yes, the price tags and everything
>>
>>10565436
It’s not even about the secondhand market per se, it’s more that if people know they can pick up a replica on the secondhand market for cheaper and readily available, they won’t buy first hand from AP.
>>
>>10565440
The people buying replicas wouldn’t buy new from AP anyways dummy

>>
>>10565446
I'm not talking about you literally, I'm talking about their customer base. Their sales are centered around hype.
>>
>>10565441
This. And the fact that the community vis pretty viciously anti replica. As long as replicas can be identified and the comm self regulates, ap doesn’t even need to intervene

i don't get your argument lol. if somebody doesn't want to buy from AP because they won't get their money back, they're a dumbass. if somebody doesn't want to buy from AP because they could get a replica, they're a dumbass AND an ita.

i would only impulse buy from AP directly because i want to support them. secondhand not so much
>>
>>10565456
>if somebody doesn't want to buy from AP because they won't get their money back, they're a dumbass

I disagree honestly. I don’t think Lolita should always be an appreciating asset but at the same time, I don’t buy dresses that won’t hold up over time. If I spend 350, I expect resale to be at least $200, which is why I don’t buy polyester pieces from like 2014. They’re made like table clothes. At that price I expect the garment to last, and therefore be worth at 30-40% of what I put in depending on how much time has passed and it’s condition.
>>
>>10565443
i wish this was against LM rules (if it isn't already)
like i get that plus sized lolitas can be more desperate but this is just almost a scam,im willing to bet the blouse is like 5$ on taobao
>>
>>10565450
I think the issue is replicas are harder to identify, which for me is enough to make me not even want to own the real deal from AP for many AP chiffon prints despite liking how they look because it makes me feel like the quality can't be that good if it can be so easily and closely replicated at taobao prices.
>>
>>10565456
I see that you don't get my argument. It's not an argument. AP does care about secondhand sales of their dresses. If they didn't retain some value, people would be discouraged from buying.

> rinse
> repeat
>>
>>10565489
>If they didn't retain some value, people would be discouraged from buying.
that still doesn't make any sense if you solely mean monetary value, which is what this discussion was about in the first place. where are you drawing your statements from? just because you would be discouraged from buying a dress you like because you can't resell it for $400 doesn't mean most people are.
>>

>>
>>10565495

>>
>>10565494
I think a lot of people, if given the choice between two dresses that they think are both cute, would choose to buy the one they know they can resell for at least 50-60% of its value versus the one they won’t be able to resell. Or just choose to not buy one that you know won’t sell and focus instead on all the other dress as you own. Not every purchase, but certainly of the fourish dresses I buy from AP each year, perhaps that would influence my decision in buying one of them. That’s a 25% decrease in sales. Obviously that number varies person-to-person but if it factors in even once that’s less business for AP. They’re not making such a huge profit margin’s that a 25% cut in business wouldn’t affect them enough to take measures to prevent it. I’m not saying every purchase is like that, I’ve bought dresses to alter for a special event coord and I just bought girly sticker on sale and right now the resale value of that is zilch, but there are other dresses that I have that I might not have thought if I didn’t think I’d ever be able to sell them. Also in a fashion where every dress only comes in one size and the cut and shape of the bodice is very so much from dress to dress that you can’t predict it will look decent on you, it’s a real thing that people would be more reticent to buy if they didn’t think that they could sell it again if it didn’t work out for them. And sometimes a dress isn’t worth $325 but once you think about the resale value being, say, 225, then dress is definitely worth 100. I have a large wardrobe about 30 mains, but I’m also not rich so I rely on reselling/cycling my wardrobe as my preferences change, as do many other people

>>
>>10565514
You can’t because it’s not the replica in photos
>>
>>10565440
Ap sells out of nearly everything in minutes. They're fine no matter how many replicas exist
>>
>>10565544
No they don’t. They sell out of some colorways of some cuts of hyped prints. Never all cuts or all colors, and that’s of the most hyped stuff. Mocha bunny JSK is in stock black and the OP is in stock in pink and black and that was just a super bad bloodbath. The only thing they sell out of is accessories but even then only the hyped prints. Even hyped stuff will sit there if it’s the stocked too long after the hype. There’s neon star diner jsks in stock on AP USA right now. So for 75% of the dresses, no, they do not sell out right away. And if there’s one on the secondhand market for sale for half the price, someone will buy that. I’m not saying they would knowingly buy it as a replica, the problem is they’re so good you can’t tell the difference, or it’s a bait and switch and the buyer may never even notice

i'm around 60 as well, since i recently sold off some stuff i don't like. i don't see it as too large either because all of my friends are also in that range

80 seems large to me, 100 excess. 30 is where i was like a year after i started
>>
>>10565572
why would you zero in on that specifically and ignore everything else they said? this is why this board is shit

>>10565575
desu 60 is large, 30 is about average but it doesn’t really matter in this context
>>
>>10565575
lolitas are so fucking out of touch, in what world is 60 dresses worth at least $100 each not large. I don't own more than 10 each of different articles of normie clothing
>>
>>10565572
Funny you judge when you haven't even been talking to the same anons the whole time.
>>
>>10565583
because i wasn't in that discussion, was speedreading through, caught that last bit and it made me snicker.

>>10565585
what? ok schizo
>>
>>10565582
I’ve been in lolita for 4 years and I only have just over 30 main pieces, but maybe it’s a gothic thing? I feel like sweet lolitas own more than gothic or classic tbf
>>
>>10565339
>>10565349

Uh well ok but I'm talking specifically about mary magdalene it's literally 4 dresses getting relisted forever and maybe new blood coming in like once every 2-3 weeks. This was in response to someone commenting all classic brands except MM are a desert.
>>
>>10565588
it might be! tbf i feel like gothic lolitas have it harder when it comes to finding pieces sometimes, but maybe that's just moitie. i don't know because i don't wear it. also i feel like the same pieces in a gothic wardrobe can be mixed and matched in a lot of fresh ways without feeling dull. but when you're a sweet, it's like... i can't wear my space dress with my biscuit socks, so you end up buying more
>>
>>10565588
There are more mentally ill shopping addicts in sweet.

I wish I was better at the second hand market, all I've been able to get are preorders or MTO. At least sweetfags have plenty of stuff to buy from other people.
>>
>>10565584
Agree. I’m >>10565513 and I have 30 mains, but I also have 20 blouses, about 50 pairs of socks, two giant ikea wardobe drawers of head wear, and about 15 pairs of shoes. 15 bags, a couple dozen ish wrist cuffs, and a ton of jewelry, clips, sashes, aprons, scepters, parasols, etc.
It fills to the point of stuffing two giant wardrobes. How is that not large? It’s obscene consumerism and I won’t try to deny it. When my friends and family see if they’re shocked because they know how much each one of those things cost. I added up what I paid for all that a few months ago and it’s close to 30k.
>>
>>10565588
>>10565593
I agree, I feel like there are just less gothic releases per year overall plus less gothic lolitas than sweet, which means less sold secondhand. Also like mentioned the pieces are more versatile so you have less reason to sell something off because maybe it didn't go with your wardrobe's style, or whatever.
>>
What are you talking about? There's more gothic than sweet lolitas.
>>
>>10565593
it's not like gothic is entirely interchangeable either though. you have to be really picky about motifs.
>>

>>

>>
>>10565637
this. plus 80% of normie goth is just egirl shit now.
>>
>>10565443
tbf to the seller, with shipping that price isn't outrageous at all considering how much fabric goes into a 3XL item. It's only what fatty chans would pay for a fast fashion normie blouse unless it's some bottom bargain dreadful plastic from wish. I'm surprised it hasn't sold, otoh, I'm also surprised that anyone in the 200 to 300 lb range would want to look cute instead of getting down to a cuter size.
>>
I almost accidentally scammed someone on LM ;_;
I got scammed when i got it and thought it was legit. I didn’t check.and then my buyer messaged me. because something doesn’t seem right. They were right, it was a replica.
I apologized to the buyer, canceled invoice (buyer had not paid), and reported my own listing.
Is there anything else i should do? I really hope i don’t get a horrible review. Feels pretty bad
>>
>>10564688
Which melty royal choc are u looking for?
>>
>>10565648
except that 3XL in most asian lolita and lolita-adjacent brands isn't even that big compared to the equivalent in western or normie brands. just checked out the measurements and at most, someone who would fit into the shirt would be just kind of chubby, not landwhale level.

i'm a tall and have a 99 cm bust and 80 cm waist and don't have trouble finding brand dresses that i can fit into, but brand blouses are almost always a no-go unless it's full shirring. if I want something that I can button all the way up, then it's usually going to have to be an XL or XXL taobao blouse, even if I wear an L in regular US sizes
>>
>>10565735
Oh we're the same size, be my friend anon-chan we can trade cute clothes and tower over the smallitas <3
>>
>>10565628
Ehhh less so than in sweet though. Like, do these black socks go with my black dress with the crucifix or my black dress with the architecture? I’m a gothic Lolita and adore it but definitely think it’s easier to interchange items between outfits than in sweet. The only time it ever really doesn’t work is if I try to wear things that are extremely ruffley and lacey and romantic (most Moitie, AtPie) with things that are much more clean cut and structured and military inspired (like Boz)
>>
Maybe this is more of a feel or belongs in the unpopular opinions thread, but I'm so sick of people's WTBs of popular AP items.
Yes, a hundred other people are also looking for Milky Fawn, Milky Planet, and cotton AP blouses. Unless you're offering $2k or something, just get in line.
>>
>>10565492
When I was a babylita I definitely bought a few listings on Lacemarket that were available cheaper elsewhere. Retarded, obviously, but I didn’t know better. That’s probably what they’re counting on
>>
Is my closet child order safe if it's on my orders page and I got an order confirmation email?
>>
>>10565801
Yeah, cute/popular AP comes up for sale all the time, and sells faster than it goes up lately. (we are starved) There really is no point unless you are willing to pay a lot more than normal

I wish so many WTBs for really common dream dresses didn't clog up the sales groups also I don't think this is an unpopular opinion
>>
>>10565805
Mostly - there's a small chance it was sold out in store before they listed it on the website and they'll confirm in a separate email about a day later.
It's rare though. It's only happened to me maybe 2 times in about 100 orders.
>>
>>10565809
thanks anon, fingers crossed! I got so excited my hand was shaking while I was checking out.
>>
>>10565811
nayrt but seconding you are going to be fine 99 times out of 100 if it's there in your orders page. What did you get anon?

their fabric most likely is worth close to nothing, that being said it probably weighs close to nothing too, making the shipping super cheap to anywhere, like sending a big letter.
This could be on like an h&m discount rack for 5$ and they'd still be making a profit. You're just paying to have some sad ruffles on a poor quality blouse.
>>
>>10565820
That's a beautiful jsk and I'm genuinely happy it went to someone who's going to cherish it instead of some scalper's bot. I'm going to keep my fingers crossed for you

>>
>>10565805
>>10565809

My ratio is higher, from the last 10 orders I did, 4 items were already gone. This is really disheartening since one item sat in their shop forever so it got on sale too and still it was gone when I ordered it.

Good luck anon but start making coord plans when you actually got the second confirmation mail.
>>
Maybe it's just me, but does anyone else feel that Closet Child's hardly worth bothering anymore?

It's not even just the difficulty in getting anything in new drops, but everything about buying from them is so cumbersome. Even though their prices are amazing, their photos suck- you can barely tell what some items look like, much less the condition they're in, and the site is really poorly sorted. Wunderwelt's pricing might be a lot higher but to me the better item information/photos and way better site are worth it.

I hardly check CC anymore since even if they upload great items for a deal, chances are a bot or one of dozen of other buyers is going to get to it before you anyway. I'd only buy to get big lots of cheap axes femme at this point since those sit around for ages.
>>
>>10565891
Im fine with you not checking CC, I have gotten some good deals recently. I dont know why ppl say there is bots, it just a lot of people trying for it but I have gotten great deals in the last few months.
>>
>>10565891
>the better item information/photos and way better site are worth it

it's not really THAT much of an improvement though, the sizing info on wunderwelt isn't that much better, and if you know what you're looking for the photos don't make that much of a difference especially as I've found CC's condition ratings pretty accurate
>>
>>10565907
As someone who buys a lot of black, 80% of CC's item photos just look like a solid black blob haphazardly falling off a hanger. At least WW can be bothered to properly display their items.

Also, since I tend to buy a lot of lesser known or impulse items from JP 2ndhand aside from just well-documented brands, being able to see items you aren't already familiar with properly is nice.
>>
>>10565891
Yeah I agree, everyone should give on CC not to make things easier on me or a-anything
>>

>>
>>10565958
i checked out her insta and uh, yikes. yet another ita newfag getting mad at scalpers
>>
>>10565905
Nta but you're not buying the popular stuff then. Anyone who thinks it hasn't gotten a lot worse than 1~2 years ago probably wasn't in the group of people fighting for popular items before, and so now they also can't discern how hard it's gotten.
>>
>>10565891
I don’t bother checking the new updates because the drops are at 3 AM my time and by the time I’m awake most of the good stuff is gone
>>
>>10565891
I hardly ever check Wunderwelt because their item ranking and pricing is whack af. They rank basically everything as a C, I’ve seen C items with holes and rips, and other C items that look regularly gently used, and they would both be listed for 20k because WW doesn’t even discount their items that are literally ripped and disgusting
>>
>>10565958
This gnomie bitch is a poor bitter cunt. She constantly whinges in RC and EGL wall of shame about how sellers price their items.
>>
>>10565878
This makes sense though. The longer the item sticks around, the more likely that it was sold in stores and they forgot to remove it/perform an inventory check.
My 2/100 ratio is from ordering exactly when CC updates, so it's much more likely the item hasn't sold.
>>
>>10562809
My lacemarket hobby is getting high and browsing. I need to use the watch function to go back to when sober to see if anything is actually worth buying.
>>
>>10565958
I think this is great tho. Like more people should call out scalpers in the comments.
>>
>>10565907
I hate CC for being lazy and never listing the material. Also they're overexposed and items are much darker than depicted.
>order "white" blouse from lesser known brand
>it's a thick cream color, which washes me out
>to add insult to injury, some scratchy polyester
