Do you own any rings with metal ring from older releases? How did they preserve over the time? Is that realistic to expect some intact ring?

how are UK comms? I'm pretty much a lonelita and was wondering if I should start actually searching and joining my local comm, though I'd imagine that they're quite far away from where I live

Is pic related's blouse okay for classic lolita, or is it too gothic?

What are everyone's current favorite bell shaped petticoats? I have an A-line from Ariel and aurora, but they don't seem to seem bellshaped ones in a color other than the rainbow one?

I didn't pay attention at the post numbers so I'm asking this again: Are socks from Jane Marple, ETC, Pink House for bigger calves possible?

How many years of experience of being into/wearing lolita is acceptable for starting a comm? specifically in a small area with no other comm there, if that changes anything
>>
>>10551903
Just get some pals in the same fashion together and have fun. Instant comm. Basic rule is just wear the fashion. You can grow together and learn to coord better. It is more fun with friends around.

Why is closetchild absolute shit now? What happened?

It's bots and scalpers. I use a script and I can't even checkout fast enough.

>>10551878
I'm fairly certain that's the cross arch lace

Personally I feel the cross arch lace in particular leans a little too obviously gothic to be used in classic, but I do think that depending on the motifs of the coord/dress you're pairing it with you could get away with using it for classic, specifically if you're doing something with a medieval theme. I think I Do Declare's fashion shows/pieces might be worth a glimpse to see what I mean with medieval inspired classic.

On the other hand if you're just talking about the style and intend something like >>10551871 where the lace is more delicate and floral, I think that works with classic just fine.

So I have a JSK that's trimmed entirely in cotton/torchon lace that I really like the silhouette of with one of my blouses, but the blouse is trimmed all in tulle lace. They're both solid black so I'm thinking it won't be as obvious but the styles feel a little discordant.

Is it weird to mix the two, or am I just being neurotic?

>>10551960
How do you like the level of poof?
>>
>>10551988
Might be a little weird but not too noticeable if they're both black, if the blouse is long sleeve try and layer some black torchon wristcuffs with it?

I made myself one of those old scraggly usakumyas using a GLB pattern and it turned out really well. Had so much fun with the project that I want to make more, but will never need that many for myself. How wrong would it be to put them up for sale, given that they are good enough to sell? What is the proper jp term for rectangle headdresses, when searching for secondhand stuff?
>>
>>10552293
What styles are you looking for? Anna House's blouse styles are a little dated, but great quality and comfortable. Dear Celine has the best quality for blouses on taobao, in my experience. Victorian Maiden's mainstay blouses can sometimes be found for cheap on JP secondhand sales but fit small, but are excellent quality.

Personally I really dislike Baby/AATP's blouses. I find the fit and quality to be poorer than many other brands- overdesigned and underexecuted.
>>
>>10551946
I'm a cc customer since 2007 and there was always these buying battles there. CC lists items which are also in their physical stores and it can happen they update with stuff which is already sold out there. This happened to me a few times already.
I admit it got a bit wilder abd more competitive over the years but the updates have a lot of more items than back in that time too.

I think over all it didn't change much. It's just that there are more people interested in Lolita and especially in older items which doesn't help the competitive situation.
>>
How bad quality is bodyline and is it easy to alter it?
I’m interested in getting some secondhand and getting it altered to remove the petticoat poof, and turning them into cute casual normie dresses and skirts
>>
>>10552396
nayrt but I find AATP blouses fit me the best, so I'm surprised to hear that you find their fit to be poorer than many other brands.
>>
>>10552466
I always just felt like the construction had too many 'one size fits all' details compared to other brands that made them feel like I was wearing a costume piece. Things like wrists that are shirred but the shirring is quite loose for my small wrists. My shoulders are also quite petite although my bust is average (~88cm on a bad day), and I always felt like the shoulders and sleeves were hanging off of me. Collars often felt too loose/big around my neck as well.

IW and VM are my favorite brands for blouses, I don't often buy them from other brands anymore besides the occasional taobao or axes femme.
>>
What's the best way to store a very heavy velveteen JSK? I don't want to hang it up by the straps since they're only attached to the bodice by a couple buttons, but I heard folding velveteen can cause permanent creasing and isn't recommended either.
>>
>>10552514
You could try sewing hanger loops into the bodice lining of the dress (I'm assuming it's lined if it's velveteen). That way if there is any stress damage it'll at least only be on the inside and not damage the dress's wearability.
>>
>>10552408
I don't think you've been paying enough attention to CC in the last year then honestly, or maybe you aren't buying the most popular items. It used to be that if you were on the site when it updated, you could get at least one good item (I got a ton of good stuff that way). The problem isn't that things are sold before they are posted - I see the listings live, but by the time the "add to cart" page loads, someone's already bought it. Also the site crashes now when it updates because so many people are trying to buy things. I've had CC charge me even when I didn't secure items because there's a corner case where if two people are checking out at the same time, the system will charge both of them (while only one person gets a confirmation email). I've messaged CC at least 4 separate times and they had to do a manual refund for me.
Like I said, it's got so bad I built a script and figured out some other advantages, and even the script isn't fast enough for popular items. I think around April or May last year is when it started to become insane.
>>
Can someone direct me to a tag, a post or something where lolitas with huge collections are sharing their wardrobe storage/setup?
I have somewhere between 50-60 main pieces not including skirts and I'm trying to figure out what to do to avoid my home ending up looking like a store
>>
how difficult is it to snipe a listing on LM? there's a dress I have my eye on ending in 3 days but idk if I should just bid now or in the last few minutes
>>
>>10552578
Beware of other snipers but no it isn't difficult. If you bid on it now, you raise the price unnecessarily but if you don't, the seller might reserve the auction for someone else in the meantime
>>
>>10552380
I don't think there's a term for rectangle ones specifically, your best bet is to just search for headdresses in general using ヘッドドレス
>>
>>10552457
it always depends on the item, like printed dresses tend to be worse than solid ones from what i've heard, from my experience the quality is fine, can feel kinda bulky at times
i recently did some major altering to their jsk and it was pretty easy to work with, plus you dont really have to worry about messing it up since its secondhand bodyline

I’m excited, will go get some bodyline shit to make cute summer non-lolita dresses!
yeah sometimes i wish i can alter brand a bit, but then i feel guilty because its brand. But since its bodyline who cares
>>

I got my first AP dress recently, it's a near perfect condition 2013 release and I happened to notice the buttons at the waistband were really loosely attached. I thought this was strange since the straps at the top of the dress are better secured. Is this normal for dresses released at that time? And, would it devalue the dress If I sewed on the buttons better? I'm going to take a needle and some white string and just reinforce the button through the same holes the original seamstress did it with.
>inb4 fatass
The left button has a knot that is smaller than the hole the seamstress passed it through, I'm not sure how it hasn't fallen out by just sitting in my closet.
>>
>>10552874
>Is this normal for dresses released at that time?
Yes
>And, would it devalue the dress If I sewed on the buttons better?
No
>>
is it possible to block/blacklist someone on lm? or just decline selling to someone bc of personal reasons?
>>
>>10552874

I think it's normal for clothes in general to have loosely sewn on buttons. My friend's grandmother would resew all of them back on. I think a while ago here I saw someone mentioning it's so buttons are easier to put on, but obviously it results in buttons loosening a lot faster then.
>>
>>10552875
Straight to the point, thank you anon.
>>10552877
Maybe you're right, the blouses I own have buttons that range from loose buttons to tightly secured buttons that also tend to slip out on their own. I know a little bit about sewing and love learning more about it, so this makes me excited to know how more recent AP dresses are built. I'd love to pick up a baby dress too and discover how it was made and how it compares.
>>
>>10552876
Put it in your terms. It really depends if the mods are feeling nice or not though should that user buy anyway. But if you're comfortable naming them in your terms, I would think that would work.
>>
>>10552874
>>10552892

Just a note that the waist ties buttons very specifically are supposed to have a thread shank, it reduces pull on the main fabric and makes it less likely to rip or something.

Last time someone asked about "loose threads" it turns out she didn't know about this and thought they were all supposed to be sewn close to the fabric like the buttons on the bodice.
>>
>>10552901
Noted, thank you for letting me know.
>>
>>10552901
Thread shanks are for flat buttons; many waist tie buttons tend to be shank buttons which have the shank as part of the button already.
>>
>>10552909

AP and Meta both still do it to buttons that already have shanks.

I'm not debating if they should or not. I just wanted to make people aware that having some thread between the button and the fabric is a thread shank and is done on purpose (whatever that purpose is), not a loose button.
>>
>>10552925
Even so waist tie buttons falling off ridiculously easily even on new dresses is a common problem amongst all sweet brands that people have mentioned on cgl before. It's weird because jsk strap buttons never seem to have this issue, just waist ties.

Not saying you're wrong or arguing. Just kind of addressing this strange phenomenon
>>
>>10552578
Be warned that LM has a nasty habit of suddenly going down and staying down for several hours. If you really want the item, it might be worth placing a bid beforehand.

I've been eyeing used VW rocking horses with heavy damage to the wooden sole (pic related has similar damage, it's not the pair I've been eyeing but I'm using it as a reference since the damage is similar)

Since the sole is wood, wouldn't sanding and adding new lacguer technically help at least somewhat? Do any gulls think it's doable for someone who has basic knowledge of power tools and woodwork projects? I would like to try it myself (and use professional shoe repairshop if I end up fucking up). Since the shoes would require a lot of repairs I probably wouldn't sell them in the future anyway, so it's not like someone else would be getting my DIY repaired rocking horses after me.
>>
>>10552874
This is often done in clothing manufacturing to minimize the risk of the fabric tearing where the button is before it reaches the end customer. If a button pops off, no big deal to put it back on. If it rips somehow, that's stock you have to discount or can't sell at all.
>>
Does ap paris ship online orders on days they're closed? I was hoping my order could arrive before my birthday, but if it's going to ship on Wednesday I have no hope
>>
>>10552977
Sanding will hide the cosmetic damage but what I worry about is the structural one. In your example it looks like the wood is separating at the base, its o the front and back there. If that is on the one you are looking at, it likely will get worse with wear. The back sole also matters too, because if the wear is to the wood, you will need to find a way to build that area back up to make it flat again.

Not sure how much a professional shoe person would know about restoring the wood.
>>
I love the cutsew OPs that AP (and occasionally Baby/AaTP) release, and want to pad my wardrobe with some more. What's the best search term to use on fril/mercari? The ones that pop up on LM have been so stupidly overpriced except for the NWT listings.
>>
>>10553027
The pair that I've thought of buying don't seem to be separating at the base, but the wood is otherwise pretty banged up like the one in the pic. I see your point tho, the back sole is pretty worn in my pair too.
I guess I could show a pic of the shoes at my usual shoe repairshop and ask if they'd be able to do anything to the wood, and refrain from buying the shoes if they say they're are a lost cause.

I'm sweaty as shit and, in order to not get any marks from sweat or aluminum, is it best to after applying the deodorant, immediately wash the area with water, as to not allow sweat to cause any stains, or allow the aluminum to stain the clothes? Also, do any of you have deodorant recommendations?
>>
>>10553120
Someone mentioned the kosas deodorant which uses acidity to kill/keep bacteria from growing. There are also natural deodorants from other brands that use microsilver to create inhospitable environments for bacteria as well to reduce smell without clogging pores, but since it's still a metal idk how it will help avoid staining.

Basically products that get rid of skin bacteria without leaving residue are probably your best bet, there's a bit more variety these days than there used to be.
>>
>>10553123
a lot of 'natural' deodorants still use the aluminium usually called something else. so you have to be careful.
>>
>>10553126
I did specify the one I was thinking of using silver, not aluminum. I just looked it up and the brand is called nuud.

Hey cutsew lover! I just search by ‘tops’ category and it populates with cutsews.

AP does not make many cutsews and they seem to be popular, so just fyi you may not find much/at a good price. The lowest they go is about $40 usd. There are also more on jp yahoo auctions
>>
How long is the big sale on Cc going for? Can’t find any info on when it ends

also short with tree trunk legs, the answer is crew socks. btssb and aatp otks will likely fit you, but give up on 99% of AP otks.

they probably meant it sold on mercari recently, don’t be daft
>>
>>10553123
I did some involved research on this topic. tldr; Acidity that kills the bad bacteria also kill the good kind and in the end, fucks up the flora balance. It's best to use probiotic deos that introduce good bacteria that feed on the bad ones or use a antiperspirant that blocks the glands enough to not produce sweat that feeds bad bacteria.

I tried about 20 different ones over the course of a year. Deo containing ingredients such as coconut oil, magnesium, charcoal, etc etc WILL stain, and they aren't that great at preserving natural/good flora balance
>>

>>
Would I be able to fit into AP tights/stocking-style OTKs? I'm 5'6" and 130 pounds. I carry most of my weight in my butt and thighs. Not sure if the biggest hurdle is my height or big hips.
>>
>>10553400
It's your armpit, not your gut. Odds are it's probably better to just kill all the bacteria than try to seek out nonexistent probiotic deodorant. If it blocks your pores it's just doing what aluminum deodorant is doing in which case armpit pads are the solution to reduce stains if you don't want to change products.

Also, good bacteria doesn't mean it smells good. So sure you can have a balanced armpit microbiome but it can still smell.

Um...is this for real that I can’t wash my bunny college cardigan in water???!! How is 50% wool/50%acrylic going to be ruined if i gently wash it in water? Anyone know?
I haven’t worn it yet but I don’t want to bother with dry cleaners if I don’t have to
>>
>>10553471
You can probably wash it if your washing machine has a wool setting, otherwise I wouldn't recommend it.
>>
>>10553472
Ohh ok, and what if I hand wash it? Is Hand washing ok?
Does the tag just mean, don’t put it in a laundry machine with water?
>>
>>10553471
So most laundry care labels are a complete lie and just assume the consumer is dumb and wreckless. I've washed a 100% heavy wool sweater in a laundry machine before and it was fine. Use a laundry net so the fabric doesn't get pulled out of shape, delicate cycle, and don't put it in a dryer. Wool will shrink like crazy. Just be smart/careful and most likely nothing bad will happen.
>>
>>10553471
>>10553478
Forgot to mention, always use cold water too. Never hot.
>>
>>10553478
>>10553479
Ah thank you, that makes sense. I was over here thinking maybe the water will cause the dye to run or something.
I might just hand wash but i will for sure get a laundry net and never dry or put in hot water
>>
>>10553481
You can do a spot test to see if the dye will run, but most colors other than red are set pretty well.

Manufacturers just assume you'll throw the piece into a machine willy-nilly with like heavy jeans and abrasive soaps, and then chunk it in a dryer on high heat, which would easily ruin it. They don't want to be responsible for any damage, so they always put the most restrictive guidelines possible to minimize fault.

Happy washing, anon!

If you include the cost of materials + hat it'll be the same price as a chinese brand hat unless ur already crafty and own all the possible mats already.

You know, i totally forgot aliexpress was a thing, dumb me. Thanks! I was looking at brand on mercari but they never have pics of the underside or if theres a ribbon
>>
>>10553861
Honestly my advice is DIY any straw headpiece (bonnet, boater hat, etc.) because the straw hats tend to be cheap and even someone who isn’t fantastic at crafting can pull it off well. I just personally feel like most brands way overcharge for straw hats they slap ribbon on.

Petti recs for extremely lowkey, casual A-line volume, like to wear with JM's shorter skirts and JSK's? All the pettis I've flipped through from MLT, a&a etc feel like they would be too full and cheap low poof costume pettis are the wrong shapes

I’ve said it before and I’ve said it again: Classical Puppets Daily A-line. People complain that their pettis aren’t as poofy as they used to be, but that’s actually perfect for this purpose.
>>
>>10554200
get a crinoline petti, you can adjust the shape at those
>>
>>10554231
I've looked at it before but judging by the stock photo of it under the example skirt I think it would be just a bit too much under lighter fabrics, I'm looking for something that just gives a little bit of structure without a lot of swish.

>>10554241
Thanks anon, I'll try shopping around for those options.

Has anyone purchased off of mercari with the buyee option? How was the experience, and how is the cost compared to other SS that shop on mercari?

Also can buyee purchases be bundled with tenso?
>>
>>10554398
Buyee is by Tenso and the fee is charged by weight instead of a set %, so it's really annoying for heavier orders.
>>
>>10554408
So then all buyee purchases will be stored with my current tenso packages, and I can consolidate them? The few things I want to buy are very small and lightweight, so that works in my favour.
>>
Got an item described as in "great condition" with no flaws, it came to me filthy and with huge rips but still usable. Seller refunded me half of the price, should I still leave negative feedback or does it makes more sense to leave a neutral one?
>>
>>10554475
No, you were scammed. Leave negative feedback. You should have either gotten a full refund or sent the item back.
>>
>>10554475
Seconding >>10554478, if they'd given you a full refund I would say neutral but you should definitely leave negative.
>>
>>10554398
I just got my shipment with them today and everything was packed well(I did not use protective packaging bc it was clothes)and came safe and quick bc dhl is like one of the only options from them atm. I had free shipping tho bc they had a special for new shoppers so I felt like I got my money’s worth. They were very quick to buy my items so that’s definitely a benefit. Haven’t used other SS yet so can’t really compare but I like their service.
>>
>>10554487
I've used tenso before so I'd assume it's the same quality of service, I didn't know buyee has dhl, hopefully that will apply to tenso as well, sea mail sucks. I have two tenso packages in the warehouse right now, I just submitted my buyee order and *hopefully* I can combine my buyee order with the tenso orders... If anyone can let me know if that's possible to combine both I'd really appreciate it.

On a side note, I didn't really like using buyee right now, it's probably more expensive than tenshi and she offers a lot more than buyee does. So if you haven't used other SS yet I recommend you try some different ones, I consider tenshi the best but I use japonica when I don't need super personalized/specific service or speed. Both also do one charge for a whole order, I did not like buyee's cart system...
>>
>>10554492
Oh I definitely only used it because free shipping was on the table. Service was good but yeah more expensive than others. Tenshi is on my list to use in the future. I’ve only heard good things.
>>
>>10554398
I've used buyee once and I'll never use them again. I bought 2 items for my friends birthday, a cushion and a picket, and everything was fine, I thought the fees were decent. But when it came to consolidating them, they wrote down the weight as over 4000kg, on a box that was about 600kg. I asked them to weigh it again, they said they did and that that was the actual weight (I weighed it and shocker, they were wrong). So I had to pay like £60 in shipping, which made my package high enough to pay customs (as they wouldn't lie about package value for me), resulting in £120 of shipping on 2 cheap items.

Now I use White Rabbit as my ss and Blackship for my Japanese address and they've never fucked me over, plus they're cheaper

How long do those "Sold Out" listings for Mercari and Fril stay up? I thought those were like records that were saved, but now that I think about it that can't be it.

>>
>>10554492
Anon, unfortunately you can’t combine Buyee and Tenso orders since even though they’re run by the same company, they’re different services. Tenso is basically a warehouse where you send items that you can order yourself but can’t ship directly outside of Japan, while Buyee is a proxy shipping service who can help you buy from sites where you may not be able to sign up for due to needing a Japanese phone number or other information.

I’ve used Tenso a bunch and I’ve had a great experience; however the consolidation fees really add up after ~5 packages!

Fuck, my dumb ass assumed from the first anon that replied to me that I could combine the two, so I already put in a small buyee order that is not worth international shipping on its own... Thank you for answering my question though anon, I wish I waited a bit longer to see your reply.

I've used tenso a lot, (especially now with covid restrictions) and avoided buyee like the plague over the years from horror stories on fees/poor service, now I finally know why. Sucks that their tenso service is great while buyee is severely lacking.

I'm about the same size, stocking style OTKs are a big no. Unless you like thigh muffin top. Normal OTKs are usually fine. Surface printed tights are technically wearable but look bad if the stretched out thigh part is showing. Screen printed tights with a vertical design are better. For both tights, they're kind of short but can be held up with something like bike shorts.

Is it considered bad/rude/gross to reuse Amazon boxes or boxes from other things I ordered for selling lolita? I feel like reusing is important but they usually have other shipping labels and stuff that I black out with a marker
>>
Incredibly embarassing question but I’ve been wearing lolita for about 2 years and I’ve still never learned how to tie my own waist ties... the only time I’ve had them was when I got a housemate or my boyfriend to tie them before a meet, but 90% of the time I don’t have anyone there to do it for me and I don’t know how myself. Every time I’ve tried it just looks ugly and lopsided! How do you guys go about doing it??

Rip off the original shipping labels and it’s perfectly fine, as long as the contents are safely and neatly packaged idc what box it comes in

angelicbrittney on tiktok has a tutorial on it (couldn't post the link, filter thought it was spam, but she only has a few videos)

>>
>>10554836
No, I do it all the time. I put it in my terms I use recycled boxes and bubble wrap. If a buyer wants a new one, I'll charge them a small fee, though I've never had to. Everyone compliments my packaging, but I'm not trying to use garbage bags or boxes that were destroyed already.
>>
>>10554836
It's completely fine, I've had people send me stuff from abroad using amazon and shoe boxes with no problem, I've never even considered it being a bad thing. I'm 5'5 and 103, and I find AP tights really uncomfortable. I only have the fantasy theater tights and dolls tea party tights, both bought new. They kinda stretch out the print/the colour kind of looks weird. Like I have DTP in black, and you can see lines of white like the print is stretching.
Also, the crotch hang is real.
My hips are like 34/35 and ik I'm not that much bigger than AP models so idk if it's just the tights.

>>10554837
Here's a video from Baby:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4gco5r4Dzjc

Personally I'm not bad at tying them behind me since I just practiced until I could get it down; most of my dresses have detachable ones so I only have to get it right once and then I just unbutton one side to get in again. You can also take it off and fix it up so it looks nicer once you have it tied well enough.

>>10554882
When you say bangless, do you mean only a fringe? I have side pieces but no fringe, and I like twin-styles (twin braids, braided loops), milkmaid braids, and other updo's like fancy buns. I wear classic, so YMMV on what works for your style.

Headbows are a definite no for me, though, you're correct. Accessories on the side of the head or at the back of an updo work really well instead, as well as fancy ribbons/ties on twintail looks.

>>10554882
Why not get clip on bangs?
You could also try some kind of alice hair like picrel

I have some layers around my face but no fringe. My shortest pieces are mid face length. I can do simple twin braids, but def need some practice on updo’s. I wear sweet and have medium length hair on the thin side.
>>10554912
I have not been able to find clip in bangs that look convincing. I change my hair color often. I need human hair ones that I can custom color. They’re still an option though. Any recommendations on sellers?
>>
>>10554985
If you change you hair color often... i don’t know if you can do anything besides getting clip on bangs made of real human hair , that match your normal hair color enough. Its a lot of effort to dye clip on bangs but maybe it will work for you.
I never had a problem with clip on bangs looking fake and i had some shitty ones from Claires and target before. It might be you’re overly critical of how they look on you. I don’t wear them anymore but you could probably find some from etsy
>>
>>10554928
larpers are only annoying because they try to give advice. if you haven't worn anything, you don't really understand how a coord collage differs from an actual coord. being able to judge how outfits look doesn't necessarily make you good at putting one together. larpers generally have the same issues with coords as noobs do, because they are noobs.

Is Yamato/UPS getting slower recently?

In the summer, I'd get my package in 4 days from Japan to the US. Then it crept up to 5 days. Now it's looking like the earliest it will come is Monday, which makes it 8 days because they don't deliver on weekends, and I'm kind of frustrated.
>>
>>10555685
I have noticed my Yamato packages getting slower but UPS delivers 7 days a week in my part of the country. My HC socks went missing recently because my UPS driver never actually delivered them despite claiming they did though...opened an investigation but heard nothing back yet. I hate this.
>>
>>10555691
Wtf. Now I'm just worried. My packages are always expensive and I'd be really stressed out if one went missing.
I live on the west coast in a very densely populated city. I don't know why there's no Saturday delivery here for worldwide expedited shipments. I just kind of hate when packaged don't get delivered Friday and they sit in some warehouse until Monday. Way more opportunities for it to just get misplaced or lost.
>>

>>
>>10555719

>>
>>10555707
Yeah I live in a fancy place that uses a package locker system to UPS should have had the package photographed and places in a locker or placed in our package room but it was nowhere to be found so I'm thinking the driver just lied and never delivered it or even showed up that day.

You can find some in aliexpress I mean most of the ofbrand shoes are the same kind of quality, brand teapartys are delicate but they wont fell apart, I am 41 and LL size teapartys from ap don't fit me :(, I had a pair of CCF and they are fine, they don't get easily scratched and they are in one piece they worth the value due the price and the quality of the brand ones and they make shoes in your size and the LL size is tricky is larger but not widther

I don't know where you can get one commissioned, and Brown blouses are dificult to see in ofbrand stores, you can consider use a cream blouse they allways goes good with Brown and the most of colors that the chocolate prints had, it allways be a good combo if you use cream blouse and cream legwear, just be sure your creams match, AP allways use a yellowish tone, iw usually goes well with off withe, baby is allways a pain with cream because they use a lot of materials but they live in the sandy brownish tone and a little dark toned off withe, but mostly of they'r chocolate/Brown prints goes well with of withe

You can ask for a full refound and you had to return the ítem with your money if you get it by Simeone of the community, if you get it from a store you can ask for the money for the to return it, and you can write the story and the condition of the ítem when you receive it, sometimes someones don't have they're eyes trained to recognize flaws and if you considered and acept the 50% as a fair amount of refound, a neutral feedback Is ok, you can leave negative but well everyone can do this kind of mistake and not everyone had a lot of experience or are familiar with the retail and auctions culture and rules inside in this community

Is there such a thing as plus size skirts not from taobao, I'd like to wear more at work but from what I can tell a lot of them start out at 60-70cm waist with very little shirring or stretch in the designs.

Meta LP skirts

meta's fully shirred skirts go to 100cm and the japanese secondhand market is lousy with them, all for under $60 usd

been having the same problem because I love cardigans. try wearing a thin fabric blouse like chiffon or a non puff sleeve cutsew?

If you wear it buttoned and don't plan on taking it off...why not just wear the cardigan and jsk only? Of course it won't work on an OP but it cuts down on bulk for jsk.

Is there something like a sweet style dolly kei and I don't mean cult party kei, which don't use obviously sweet prints, at least I didn't found any pictures of such.
I want to style my very prominent sweet prints in a more mature way without getting too casual or ott and I really like the idea of dolly kei with classic lolita. Somehow I can't imagine this style with sweet so any inspiration in that direction is highly appreciated.

Is this ok to do or is it too much?
I’m new to selling on Lm. and had put on my ToS that you need to confirm you got my invoice within 4 days of me sending it, or i’ll consider you flaked out. (And you’ll need to pay the invoice within 1 week).
Anyway i sent my buyer a dm on Lm asking if she got my invoice the same time i sent my invoice out to her. and its been 2 days unread so far.
Just wondering if my terms of service are reasonable or not?

What's a good way to store dresses? I'm paranoid about sun fading so I keep them away from my windows, damage over time by hanging and gravity terrify me so I keep them folded in plastic, and permanent creases and wrinkles are my nightmares so I unpack all dresses and air them out. What should I do? I feel like I'm just keeping them in pristine condition just to sell them off. Also, how do you store your petticoats? I had crinolines until now and I'm terrified storing them wrong will deflate it prematurely.

Also also, is the wunderwelt cupcake petticoat worth it? I remember lor kept endorsing it before she made her Cream and Sugar video.
>>
>>10556667
I mean this in the nicest way possible but you sound like you need professional help.
>>
>>10556667
I hang my favorite pettis inside out from a closet hook so that the lining can breathe and the floof stays hanging loose, and the rest of them are mashed into a storage bag because they're already kinda squished.

I hang all of my dresses too, I am sort of worried about the straps like you say but my dresses are packed so tightly in my skinny closet that I imagine they're all sort of holding each other up and supporting the weight, lol
>>
>>10556667
I fold my dresses at the waist and stick them through the hanger that way so the straps aren't stressed, although it does sound like you're being a bit overly paranoid. Do you not own an iron or steamer? Wrinkles aren't permanent damage so I don't understand why that would be such an issue to you.
>>
>>10556667
>is the wunderwelt cupcake petticoat worth it? I remember lor kept endorsing it before she made her Cream and Sugar video.

Actually she was also shilling MeLikesTea for a while as well. Probably more worth the price but most people just recommend Aurora and Ariel.

I'm usually this paranoid most of the time so I didn't think it was problem. Although I was aware that my paranoia was going too far when I would worry about my house burning down while I was on vacations or away at work.
>>
>>10556667
As someone who grew up poor and never had nice things, I sympathize with this mentality. It helped to realize that these dresses are simple cotton (or poly) dresses, they won't melt if they're exposed to water or turn to ash if worn outside. Maybe after a decade+ of hanging, dresses might need some elastic repair but that's a simple fix for a tailor; would rather hang my clothes for 10 years and pay $10 down the line to repair some elastic than hang/fold my clothes all weird and worry. Also for worries presented in >>10556683 maybe check out getting your collection insured, something I plan on looking into myself now that my closet is probably worth past the 4 figure mark.

I know that baby uses ems and it says on their website that they won't ship to the usa until ems opens back up again, but is there any way to ask them to use yamato/dhl without being rude? Or have any americans bought from baby in the past year and gotten their packages yet?
>>
>>10556732
No, they won't even if you ask and offer to pay more for it. What they're actually doing for US orders is shipping to their SF branch and fulfilling from there. It can take months though.
>>
>>10556732
I ordered from the Japan store in early June and got my order in early August. They had to ship my dress to the SF store then the SF store shipped it to me.

I expected it to take a lot longer than that. Not sure how long it would take now.

Buyee-mercari anon here again with another dumb question: one of the items I got has yet to be purchased by Buyee because the seller was questioning them in the comments, and raised the price twice since they replied to Buyee's comments, now the price is about double that of the original which is totally not worth it.

So is buyee going to charge me/take money out automatically or ask if I want to go with the sale first before buying it? I was hoping it was a placeholder price but the two price changes is making me nervous.

>>
>>10556756
Every time I have checked out with Buyee I pay the price upfront. Are you trying to buy an item that's not able to be bought with the special "buy with buyee" or whatever button on mercari?
>>
>>10556756 I have heard of some seller raising the price if they realise it's going to a western person, or even anywhere outside Japan, justifying it because that's supposedly the market price out of Japan. I don't know what buyee will do, but I think it's best to use a shopping service that doesn't make it obvious that it is a shopping service, if that makes sense
>>
>>10556756

Thanks for the replies! I ended up trying some distilled white vinegar I had kicking around and that took it right out. But these are all pretty good, I'll keep them in mind in the future!
>>
>>10556759
It was an item that had the "buy with buyee" button, but I guess the seller's terms still required commenting before purchasing? That or it was an old listing. Buyee still charged me for the original amount, I just wanna know if they'll automatically take out money again without asking me if I want to go through with it more. I know I sound stupid but I've always heard horror stories on buyee's lack of communication throughout the years.
>>10556762
Yeah I think that's it. The first price change happened after the seller's reply to buyee, asking if it's going to be resold. I thought they were just confused about what buyee is given buyee's last response explaining their service, but now it seems like they just don't wanna deal with a western buyer, hence the final price increase. I usually use other SS, this was my first and last time using buyee.
>>10556763
yeah, probably going to have to do that, hopefully they see my inquiry before they do anything stupid
>>
I'm the anon with the paranoia issue with another question. How do you clean your dresses? Especially if they're secondhand? I keep them in my freezers for 72 hours then hand wash them after doing the q tip and waist tie test.

>>10556865
Dry cleaner if applicable. Hand washing is fine too. Hope you get your anxiety/paranoia under control anon.

What's the deal with AP camisols (the decorative ones)? I'm assuming they're meant to be worn as blouses and it's just the terminology getting to me? Some of them have ruffles instead of sleeves though, and I'm not sure if that's immodest or not.
>>
>>10556732
I made an order in August of last year and another order in September. They sent the first order to the SF store in October and I got it shortly after that. I'm still waiting on the second order. I bought the second order right after they already packed everything up for the SF shipment, so they couldn't combine shipping with my first order. It's been 5 months. If I were you I'd use tenso or an SS.

Anyone have suggestions for escaping bra straps with square neck blouses and OP's? My shoulders are quite narrow so my bra straps like to fall down as it is unless I pull them pretty far inward but then they pop out from under these sorts of necklines. I don't want to resort to a strapless if I can help it.
>>
>>10557137

casual lolita. If you look for GLB scans around the years they came out in, it was a pretty popular look for summer.

>>10557174

Use a safety pin to keep the bra strap and shoulder strap together.

A better option, if you're handy with sewing, is to permanently sew a snap and thread to hold the bra strap to the shoulder straps. The safety pin pokes a hole in the shoulder straps, and moving around does cause some stress to the holes, so doing the safety pin for a long time can cause quite a large hole to form in the shoulder strap.

Why does /cgl/ , or at least 1 vocal anon, hate nefferinthia?
