Haven’t had one of these in a while.

>keep it Lolita related
>no vendettas

What’s the stupidest shit you’ve seen posted online lately?
>pic related
>>
>>10502665
Lmao I just capped this to post it. OP is a retarded sjw and i remember her sperging out over uniform inspired clothes in another group.
>>
>Ackshully, muh murican problem is a global problem now because I said so
>pulls out race card
>educate yourself!!!!!!!!!
this is why no one takes sjws seriously
>>
>>10502713
Do people like this even realize they’re the reason nothing changes?
>>
Some dumb white bitch crying about “her oppressors”
>>
>>10502665
I posted this to a humor group as soon as it came out and the mods never approved it. The full coord is silly. I don't understand why people are so ignorant as to not know or look up what Japanese police look like when it's made by a Japanese brand
>>
>>10502665
The girl who posted this complains a lot about how Disney is an oppressive corporation meant to ruin poor peoples' livelihoods too. She's unhinged as fuck.

>>10502722
>thinking the liberal sjw mods in the humor group would approve an acab post that was made by a black woman
huh, wonder why your post didn't go through
>>
>>10502665
I hate how SJWs have completely taken over western lolita groups. No, I don’t want to talk about trannies, BLM, etc, I just want to talk about dresses. And I say this as someone who is staunchly left wing.
>>
>>10502715
No. They're the definition of useful idiots. Already the Biden team is quietly ignoring all the stupid shit they asked for, but they won't learn anything.
>>
>>10502665
While we're talking about this post, who the fuck is that girl who keeps using the fake accent? Is she trying to type in scots? At first I thought maybe it was legitimate and she was just refusing to turn her dialect/accent off, but I looked at her page and it seems that she only started typing like that in September/October of this year. Everything before that is in standard english. What the fuck? I can't understand a word she's saying.
>>
>>10502732
Whoa anon, she’s just trying to embrace her culture! You’re being so mean! I know we don’t do /s here but it felt appropriate
>>
>>10502726
Lol not who you think I am. I live in Japan. Look up what the set looks like and tell me it isn't funny
>>
>>10502734
Almost got me there anon. I'm already riled from learning that its a fake accent. If someone defended it here I might have exploded.
>>
>>10502713
to be fair, Japan also had their own multiple protests against police brutality, in solidarity with the US and to protest the beating of a Kurdish man that happened around the same time as George Floyd. So it's not like Japan doesn't know about what's happening over here
https://www.japantimes.co.jp/news/2020/06/07/national/protests-rallies-race-police-brutality-tokyo-japan/
>>
>>10502740
Yeah but this release was first teased back in February. Where was the outrage then? Oh that’s right. Fuck the police only counts when it’s trendy and screaming it makes you sound woke.
>>
it pains me to see these people immediately think that dressing up in police outfits means you support them, instead of it being a counter culture mockery of them for decades.
>>
>>10502748
My favorite are the people who have "always been hardcore acab" but literally never heard a peep from them until it was trendy.
>>
If police themed outfits are pro police and glorifying our oppressors, then everyone who wears military styles is glorifying war and the military, right? And wearing victorian inspired fashion is glorifying "the good old days" of women's oppression, right? Except no one's saying that. Women are oppressed in some places in the world, and wars are happening right now in some places of the world, but those things aren't trendy hot issues so no one cares.
>>
>>10502756
Might as well count it as one since instagram lolitas count as a comm.
>>
>>10502751
What’s satire, right?
>>
>>10502665
Kek. The absolute state of online comms. Constant social media usage and dopamine kicks from outrage culture has literally rotted people's brains
>>
>>10502732
yeah the rping girl is fucking obnoxious and I want to call her out but don't wanna deal with being dogpiled for it
>>
Military lolita is cute on its own but anyone i have met who wears it is the biggest cringelord
>>
>>10502732
I really thought she was one of those Americans whose personality that their great-great-great-grandfather is from Scotland, which makes her a Scottish princess!!!1! at first. Turns out she's English iirc.

>>10502817
Imo, military is one of those styles that looks great in photos but cringe as fuck irl. It looks like you're trying way too hard to be edgy.
>>
>>10502816
Sorry if I'm out of the loop but is she RPing her accent or being a lolita?
>>
>>10502719
>insinuating military servicemen/women are oppressors
>being so privileged that they don't realize that military servicemen are more exploited than they could ever fathom
>equating people in the military to fucking police

idiots
>>
>>10502719
Imagine being one of the most privileged and richest people who have ever lived on this planet and crying that your bougeoise fashion reminds you of your "oppressors"
>>
>>10502713
This is a perfect example of how anyone who still uses Facebook unironically is a fucking moron.

It’s not like this is the literal nazi-inspired d walkure meta fiasco
>>

if it were just rotten enough for them to die of, this would make my heart bounce happily
>>
>>10502713

Military lolitas are annoyingly edgy, and in my experience are either a nazi, bootlicker, or just straight up annoying.

>>

That's fair. I don't really follow releases outside of AP or occasionally Baby and Meta, so didn't know it came out that long ago.

Right? When she first posted the dress in CoF, there were so many positive comments I thought I was losing my mind. I had to ask another lolita friend about it and double check that I wasn't crazy,
>>
>>10503673
Rather than make a new size range, I rather AP stop making everything a high waist cut
>>
>>10503702
This. It’s so fucking unflattering. They use to have a nice variety of cuts but now it’s all the same pattern used over and over again, repurposed with different fabric.

>>10503715
Different print, yes. Actual different fabric no it’s all woolly viyella
>>
>>10503671
Hey Americans, how big is "plus size"? When I started wearing the fashion, I think it was above a 100 cm bust but reading the comments, it seems like it's now above a 120 cm bust?
>>
>>10503720
Burgers think plus sized starts at 120+ cm. I used to be 116 cm and even I was never that entitled about brand fitting my lardass, I just made an effort to lose weight and not bitch about the Japanese and their clothes sizing.

>>
>>10503758
i expected the worst but was still disappointed
>>
>>10503820
not fashion, but I've seen a little bit of the same thing in the mermaiding community. Not quite so bad as lolita, but similar "wealth gap" issues, since you can buy a cheapo spandex mermaid tail for around $75 to $200 (the taobao of mermaid tails) versus $3000 and up custom-made silicone and/or sequin mermaid tails, the Burando of the mermaiding community. In general the community is pretty hugboxy like modern lolita groups (for instance, asspats for a girl bawwing about the fact that she's a mermaid but doesn't know how to swim???) but I haven't really seen any hateblogs or cgl-esque forums that are salty like lolita has, but that could also be because I was whatever the mermaid version of a lonelita is
>>
>>10503758
These are oracle cards, not tarot. I hope she isn't trying to say that's a tarot deck...
>>
>>10503826
Oh anon don't forget to mention the insane amount of fatties in the mermaiding community. I swear there are more overweight mermaid chicks than average sized ones, or maybe the fats are just the most spergy. Thankfully there's not any whining about not fitting shit since it's all custom made.
>>
>>10503758
Goddamn, at least I know that competition is nonexistent if I'm ever inclined to make either lolita-themed oracle or tarot cards. Fuck
>>
>>10503720
I guess as a burger and former fattychan I'd consider "plus size" lolita to be something like 110cm bust, 100cm waist. Maybe 120cm bust if you're talking about an OP or a very unforgiving bodice shape like high waist dresses.

Basically I'd only use the term "plus size" for releases that are either specifically made for fatties (ex: MAM's lovely line, Meta's new Plus and Plus Plus pieces, Bodyline 2L size) or for a non-plus size piece that's VERY forgiving (ex: Meta's fully-shirred skirts, Baby's Shirring Princess JSKs)

100cm doesn't make much sense as "plus size" because that's well within the upper range of a ton of brand releases. Nearly every single brand makes stuff with a 100cm bust or more. Fitting regular burando releases =/= plus size.
>>
>>10502868
They're probably the same lazy cunts who cry oppression when we point out that ironing their skirts would be a good start if you're serious about the fashion. Always something to cry over, most cluster B behavior.
>>
>>10503861
agree with this, as a britfag our 'plus size' range starts at size 18 which is 105cm bust and 92cm waist
i think something should class as base plus size if the shirring maxes out to around 120cm
>>
What a fucking tyre fire the No Nuance November discussion is
>>
>>10503349
An apparent genderspecial acting dramatic and attention-seeking, what a shocker.
>>
>>10503671
they won’t stop posting about it on ap usa’s tenth anniversary release, how embarrassing.
>>
>>10503671
fatties being fat. how about losing weight instaead of whining about the label?
>>
>>10504759
>Fatties bawwing about brando not catering to them
>Fatties arguing over what size defines obesity

Not surprised. Go find a better hobby for your body type, like child rearing.

I'm kinda mad that moitie had the nerve to release these IW looking kc wtf

>>
>>10503720
I'm 91.5cm/36in bust and I feel like that's plus sized. I can't fit into a lot of older brand pieces and certainly not some of the current brand dresses/tops.

Here's to quarantine weight loss hopes.

High waist looks terrible on everyone who are you trying to fool? They are ugly and boring, and I’m tired of there being no variety in cuts anymore.
>>
>>10502665
Bodyline comes out with a new police costume/fashion item every year. It's just an aesthetic choice.
Personally I want the new aatp top it's punk af and I think it's extremely rebellious to wear something that's ment to resemble a police uniform it's like almost against the law and I'm acab as hell I'll do anything thing that is even slightly breaking the law

American here
It really depends on the brand but yes, plus size is usually the 100+cm bust, 38+cm shoulders, 100+ hips (which sucks because sometimes it's not the hips and the ass is just big) and/or 90+ waist.

>>10505842
Not to mention if you wanted all new pieces and just went the taobao route. It's a starter coord, after all. It doesn't have to be particularly good quality or interesting, it just has to have all the right pieces to create a complete look!

I mean, I threw this together in about 5 minutes. It's $200ish and if you went through a good SS or tried working directly with the brands you might cut down the cost even more. And this is including shoes, a purse, and a good petti, which guaranteed most 'starter kits' wouldn't have. The only thing it's missing is wristcuffs and jewelry.
>>
>>10505887
This is cute as shit anon. Maybe someone should start a thread where people make coords for fun. Similar to the capsule stuff but just for one coord.
>>
>>10505935
>Maybe someone should start a thread where people make coords for fun.
There's kinda a thread for that, with people making coords based on specific parameters or asking for coord assistance.
>>10463096
>>
>>10505916
It's by Alice Girl, and it's got a bunch of different detachable parts to mix and match so I thought it would be perfect for a newbie. No idea what the quality level is like, though!

>>10505935
Thanks!

I make a lot of random coord collages just for fun. My own wardrobe is very tightly curated, so it's a good way for me to scratch the shopping itch without actually buying a bunch of crap I'd rarely wear.
>>
>>10505887
I was actually considering buying that skirt next paycheck. Couldn't decide between the red or black one.
>>
>>10505981
black seems more versatile imo.
>>
>>10505886
she was going to sell it for $10. zines are meant to be a collective of artists, to share art. in this context it was going to be under her shop/her name, the artists who submit were just going to be "bonus" content, and included in her subscription boxes that she profits off of lol. very different intention here.
>>
>>10502665
Did yall see R*se Nocturnali*'s vid about this release? She said she saw the thread about it on RC but that was a blatant lie
>>
>>10506521
I did. She claimed she went back and forth with people on RC? Anyway video was great and I’m glad to see her express her honest opinion as a black woman on the issue people kept trying to make about black people. I really respect her.
>>
>>10506521
>>10506524
She did. Some white sjw was screeching at her about how she was wrong while getting pats on the back by the black OP.

>>
>>10506521
Are you high? She clearly did see it, although it was rc:u and she did comment. What was the lie then?
>>
>>10506521
I get her response, but saying we can't affect Japan because we're not Japanese when European colonialism is what gave them police in the first place is...okay then. "We" as a niche group, most likely not, but "we" as a English speaking society, there is potential.
>>
>>10506693
There really isn't as lolitas and no one outside a handful of SJW lolitas care. So no, there is no influence we have.
>>

>>10506707
I'm sure China is as well
>>
>>10506521
I watched the spat as it was unfolding, and she was commenting. Why do you think she's lying?
>>
>>10506693
Holy shit just stop. Yes, Japan established their "police" during the Meiji restoration as a way to curb insurrection and that police force was based on the broad European general idea of a "police force", but the concept of police has not a damn thing to do with European colonialism. You are ignoring over 2,000 years of the Edo era police which had nothing to do with colonialism.

You clearly did not get her response. If you can't even have this conversation with a Japanese person in Japanese, what makes you think they even care what English speaking society has to say?

This is peak smooth brain. Fashion can be political. And at the end of the day, the SJWlitas can keep crying over an ugly AatP police-inspired uniform but they would never boycott or sell their Baby stuff because they're spineless and not rebellious punks like they think they are.
>>
>>10506718
Japan also wasn't colonized but I wasn't going to go there, there's no point arguing with these people, they're as bad as the qanon people.

You do realize a lot of us here speak different languages at home and where we live and use English on here because it's board rules, right? >>
>>10506891
It's so obvious which group is which because of the high levels of sodium and RC would have nuked that post after the first few whiny pissbabies posted.

The best thing to do in these situations is tersely but politely acknowledge and move on especially if you think you look better than them, or just ignore it altogether. Commenter may look like shit but PL just comes off as way too defensive and like a Karen in her response.

>>
>>10507199
>little_asshole_girl

Their username explains a lot. Not wking but I don't like kids leaving stupid comments like this on my posts. Nobody asked what they did or didn't like about the picture so why they felt the need to share their shit take is beyond me.
>>
>>10507333
How dare people share photos of whatever or whomever they want to on their personal account
>>
>>10507199
Honestly? Good for her. Curating your online experience is the way to go.
>>
>>10507393

You would think so, but honestly, there will always be people who don't like your stuff. No matter how many people you block, it's reactive rather than proactive. Better understand that some people just won't like your shit and control your kneejerk reaction to it. They're just trying to get a rise out of you after all, the worst you can do to them is not give a shit.
>>
>>10507393
Exactly this. Who wants to be pestered by shitty kids and trolls.

>>10507401
Places like TikTok and YouTube foster an environment where anyone with an account feels compelled to post their shitty opinion and its grating. If that person doesn't like what you posted, who the fuck cares? Keep it to yourself because you should be called out for it. Or better yet - do me a favour and block me if you won't out yourself.
>>
>>10507404

If you really wanted it that way then make your account private. Or get off the internet. Throwing a shit fit while you block the person also does nobody any favors and probably is an open invitation to actual trolls.
>>
>>10507407
Do you proofread before posting or are you autistic?

Posting things online isn't an automatic invitation for comments from trolls or shit posting on a random persons accounts that you don't like something about them.
>>
>>10507415

Name calling is so original.

If you post publicly online you know that there's always a chance someone won't like your shit. And that person didn't. Honestly, it wasn't even a particularly shitty take or troll comment. She went overboard on what was a mostly positive comment.
>>
>>10507421
I was asking a serious question because the way you reply is the same as someone with autism but whatever you say.

Posting "I did not ask for criticism is going overboard?" Seems civil to be honest. Sounds like you have a vendetta against that girl over something as harmless as responding to a rude normie.
>>
>>10507424
I meant to type "I did not ask for criticism" is going overboard?

Yeah but I guarantee this poor girl is going to be pregnant by this old hick by the end of the year.

Weird how social media puts people from such different class backgrounds in contact. But personally if someone like this commented on my page I’d just delete it without making a public stink about it. Like scraping dog shit off your shoe.

Yea she made a post earlier asking if she was too old for lolita. But i bet her parents were old even when she was born. Having kids late in life usually returns this breed of autist that never leave home or get a job
>>
>>10508601
My parents were 40 when they had my sister and she’s smart and well adjusted as heck, currently going to an Ivy league. Meanwhile they were 27 when they had me and I’m a weirdo who spends my free time either sperging on 4chan or trouncing around my small town dressed as a Japanese princess. Can’t blame everything on egg age.

there’s a Tallahassee group called Tallahassee EGL Society, but it’s incredibly dead. Since all the students are out of town, no one wants to participate in anything.

Both the “Northwest Florida Lolita Society” and “River City Lolitas” collaborate in online meetups pretty often, so try those. If you have a hard time getting in, reply back to me with an email drop and I’ll invite you.

There's a fairly well known lolita that always copies coords of lesser known lolitas and it's really bizarre. I hadn't noticed it until a friend pointed it out with some side by side pics. Anon was talking about how Lolita gets shit on when CCS gets a pass when it's arguably worst. You're not supposed to feel good about Deloris x Whatever his name was, where as you were in CCS. It was even a somewhat major plot point in one of the movies/TV specials where them losing their "love" is shown to be a bad thing.
>>
>>10526307
>You're not supposed to feel good about Deloris x Humbert

depending on the adaption, you debatably are. and I can get behind either, but I'm pretty sure calling ccs "gross pedo shit" that "normailzed student teacher ships" is not debating the narrative perspective of nabakov

but go off i guess
>>
>>10524550
isn't 'children's fashion' a very recent concept and children at the time would wear clothing that was identical to adult women's fashion?
>>
>>10526311
In the original you are not. The adaptations that make you seem like you should feel good or horny or supportive of it are a reflection of things that are wrong with men preying on young girls, society's obsession with women's youth being associated with their beauty and value, the sexualization of minors, Hollywood in general normalizing weird fucked up shit, and more.
>>
>>10526313
yes, 100%
>>
>>10526313
Yeah other than being less restrictive so they could play children with money for the longest time just wore mini adult fashions. >>
>>10526315
okay, babe, but its still dumb to cancel ccs
>>
>>10526319
I wasn't the person saying we should, and I haven't seen enough of it to know the context of it and I don't think you have to cancel a piece of media/fandom because it contains problematic framing of certain situations. You should just remind people of the aspects that are wrong and make sure impressionable young kids don't take those things to heart.
>>
>>10526315

I don't even use twitter and fiction/media doesn't groom children as far as I'm aware. It might set a poor example but as I said >>10526321 here it doesn't mean you should cancel it all the time. I never said it's your obligation to educate other random kids. Obviously that's the role of parents and adults involved with their kids or whatever to discuss that. Why are you acting so attacked and pretending someone is trying to force you to live your life a certain way? I thought it was implied the educating younger people is the responsibility of their caregivers, not randos on the internet who also like CCS.
>>
>>10526331
>I thought it was implied the educating younger people is the responsibility of their caregivers, not randos on the internet who also like CCS.
Just going to jump in, but people like >>10526324 tend to act like it IS the job of random adults on the internet to denounce anything that might be difficult for children to comprehend. Your lack of Twitter may be how you are missing the meta context of this conversation (if you can call it that)
>>
>>10526335
Thanks for reminding me that I should just never start using Twitter.
>>
>>10526337

>>
>>10526335
>>10526330

I feel like we should give less credence to the influence of woke furries on Twitter and just try to assume the people we are speaking to are being reasonable until they give us a reason to believe otherwise. The conversation would be more productive or people could get their thoughts across better and actually communicate how they feel rather than spending half the conversation accusing someone of being hardcore left, right, pedos, overreacting, etc.
>>
>>10526337
It's bad for anything social but great for Japanese brand updates.
