The blue x black is unexpectedly pretty. I'm so tempted even though wearing long sleeves in this heat would be suffering.

>>10490177Misc. detail shots.
>>10490180This headdress looks new as well? Dump done.
>>10490184It does! I love it already. Come to me, baby.
>>10490184isnt the ring new as well?
>>10490174Love the OP, I think i’ll get it but undecided on the colour. Which one do you gulls think is more versatile? I prefer the style of the collar on the blue one, but I feel like there’s only so many ways you can coord Moitié blue...
>>10490172the details are super pretty but i'm sad about the fit...the bodice is so unflattering and paired with the really baggy arms. I know there's supposed to be a puff at the cuff but it's so ill fitting. I just wish it was more "sleek". I feel like it would fit taller people better if anything.
>>10490174Ugh, I love it so much but I'm worried it will look baggy. Does anyone have experience wearing a dress that is 12ish cm too big in the bust? Does it look silly?
>>10490217Actually nvm, looking at the model picture it does look stupidly large on her. Guess I'll pass.
>>10490217Yes. We have the same bust size anon, and I have a couple dresses that I sold off cus they were 10+cm too big. The construction/material doesn't help it either.
>>10490169missing the old days when moitie sizing was smaller..
>>10490211they should have done the cuffs tighter. I have a bpn op with this kind of sleeves and it looks a lot better since the cuffs start higher and they are super tight (in a comfortable way).
kinda awkward when actual Sisters look at you wearing this ngl
>>10490226I mean it's halloween season rn and there's plenty of people going around wearing cheaper and slutty looking nun costumes..Just tell them you love jesus so much you're willing to wear something nun inspired. Lol.
>>10490169Do we have the model measurements?
>>10490169>>10490172>>10490174Am I the only one that finds the bodice supper baggy ?
>>10490262nope, not just you. I find it super baggy too.
>>10490174I wish they made smaller sizes too, new moitie would completely drown a more petite girl.
Someone is selling the old short OP in size 2 on Mercarihttps://item.mercari.com/jp/m92857952057
>>10490174They should honestly make the bust sizes more far apart to 'fit' a wider range of girls. Why release two that are 4cm apart?? They should have done 97cm and 87cm or even better 95cm and 85cm to match the sizing to the other No. 13 dresses released recently. Cross Rose JSK was 82-92cm. Its such a strange move for an OP that you would not need to put a blouse underneath. >>10490184That sheild ring is gorgeousss.
>>10490417As far as I know they purposefully went for a baggy aesthetic, but you are right about the sizes being so close to each other, a 10cm difference would be more logical.
>>10490184wtc the black lace gloves? those are cute
>>10490226There's this Met exhibition about Catholicism in fashion, you may have heard about it. Collars like that is common in vintage clothing, so they may just view it as a black dress with white collar. I'm not from a Catholic country, so it took the 2015 nun trend for me to realise that people considered any white flat collar to be "nun aesthetic". The few nuns in my country don't wear such collars
>>10490174im happy about the sizes desu.i bought a few new dresses and they fit perfect. i am 5'8

>>10491936Atelier Boz has released a lucky pack, with both a women's and a men's version. The 2021 Women's Lucky Pack costs ¥46,000 and comes in M and L sizes. It consists of a blouse, JSK, capelet, jacket, and jabot.https://www.atelier-boz.co.jp/products/detail/272

>>10491940Atelier Boz is also accepting reservations for their new Clarissa OP.¥ 28,380Sample size: Bust 92-100cm Shoulder width: 37cm Sleeve length: 64cm W83-95cm Length: up to 102cmCollar width: 5cmhttps://www.atelier-boz.co.jp/products/detail/266
In the atelier boz store it says they do international shipping, but when you make the order it only allows you to imput a japanese adress. Should I contact them?
>>10490172saw andrea wearing this and it looked tight around her bust. sigh
>>10491941Oh my fucking god. That's marvelous. The cut is so clean, I love it.
>>10491938The JSK looks like a rerelease of the Yulianna JSK. It's a shame, I wanted the Yulianna but I don't care for the rest of the pack.>>10491941This is beautiful. I was planning on getting >>10490174 as my first nun themed OP, but the Boz one is over ¥10000 cheaper and just as pretty. Genius timing on Boz's part desu
>>10491941im a newfag, how long do boz reservations stay up?
>>10490226haha i went to a catholic school and this reminds me one halloween my friend came to school dressed as a nun. the sisters were not impressed.... it'd probably be the most interesting part of their week though
>>10491941How is it so big? It looks pretty fitted on the mannequin. I mean I know it has corset lacing, but even the minimum listed measurements are big.
>>10492122I tend to consider the minimum measurements of Boz as being the "normal" fitting measurement of the piece. It means it could probably fit smaller sizes with the corset properly tied down.
just got my first moitie pieces after being a strict AP wearer since i started, holy shit i'm in love. i feel cool as hell
>>10492226Welcome to the club friend!
>>10491934Forgive me if I'm being a dumbass here, I was going after this in the Black x Blue Ribbon x Blue Rose and it's apparently already sold out before orders opened on their website? Wtf?
>>10492432Yep, salon members get first dibs
>>10492433Ahhh thanks anon, haven't gone for Moitie stuff on release before and thought 'salon' meant their online shop
>>10492434fucking got taken out of my cart while I was checking out
I can't believe the Rose Cross Arch Headdress sold out while I was busy. Fuck this shit. Did you gulls get what you wanted?
>>10492519I gave in and bought the salon membership as the discount for this round was worth it for the price. Happy to not deal with bloodbaths ngl
>>10492434man shut up
>>10492534Are you guaranteed the item if you're in the salon?
>>10492584No, there's just a presale period for salon members that gives you first dibs.
>>10492084>>10492557On their front page you can see all the past reservations in the What's New section. The reservation for the Matilda OP is still up and it's almost 2 months old.
Oh damnit, Boz’s Mistress blouses that have just arrived are only in the ladies size this time. The ladies size fits, but I find the men’s size comfier in the shoulders and armholes. It’s just a surprise to see them only releasing the one size for such a staple item.
>>10492519I got myself a rosary necklace, but jewelry always takes forever to sell so I didn't have to set alarms or anything like that.
Can I ask for recommendations on shoes that’s under 2 inches heels? Price range from $100 to $1000, this tall anon can’t wear heels or platform everywhere I’ve already checked American Duchess and Fluevog
>>10492447every listing I've seen is selling them for 3x the price, so I can't blame anon if they want to do that too
>>10492797bait has some

I ended up buying two of the bat ring by accident... do I keep it and wear two, or do I sell it for a loss?
>>10492936Just sell it at retail/break even cost Assuming you’re not in Japan, someone will buy it from you just to save money on the international shipping.
>>10491941It's quite short in the front. For reference the model is 158cm or about 5'2"https://twitter.com/BOZ_OSAKA/status/1320319191476416515?s=19
>>10494629Wow, it looks horrible worn
>>10494632Some Boz looks terrible worn, I have an op from them that the shoulder is incredibly wide, like 5 cm wider than most of my dresses, it looked straight up terrible on me
>>10494632what about it doesn't look good?
>>10494709nta but i think the sleeves look way too big. (the whole thing just looks too big honestly, maybe it would look better on a different person) and the clasps look pretty wonky as well. all in all it reads as cheap to me. honestly i think that in general, OPs with few details need to be perfectly executed or they look really cheap.
>>10494727The problem with the fit is it needs someone taller to model it. I’ve seen this with a few of their pieces, and this shop staff member is very petite, with some of the pieces just drowning her unfortunately. This unfortunately is just not one of their best designs.
>>10494746this, you can see how the waist is too low on her as well
>>10494763>>10494746i know that big, loose dressed have been a trend in other jfash so i hope it's not something that they plan on doing more.
>>10494766ugh same. not to chubby cope but the oversized look really only looks okay on twigs, tailoring was invented for a reason
>>10494766Things being too loose and too long are different to the design being intentionally baggy. The sleeves on this are clearly meant to not be super fitted. The issue here however is that they are far too long on the model, as well as things being cinched in as small as they can go pretty much from the look of it. The fit is simply as bad as it is because the model is so petite, from the looks of it, even by Japanese standards.
>>10494794This isn’t a deliberate trend. This is simply the shop staff being too petite to fit the clothing she is modelling well. If you see her in other pieces modelling them for the shop blog, it’s a common thing for the clothes to be too big on her, especially height wise.
>>10494925Yeah I get that. I was just responding to other other anon
>>10494629Good, I’m short as shit.
>>10494925>>10494921the trend is clothes that look like they are the wrong size, not just baggy shit. it's perfectly reasonable to worry that is leaking into other styles. research before you run your mouth.
>>10494986Yeah, I’m aware of the trend. This isn’t the case here, it’s that the clothes are just too big for the model. Boz have been sticking to their style for donkeys years. There’s no need to get that rude.
>>10495008if you're aware then sit down and shut the fuck up. maybe take a look a the dumpster fire that the other styles are because of this shit. the dress looks intentionally baggy, especially since it fits her fine in the waist.
>>10495028Yikes, sorry about your PMS. You're really worked up for no reason
>>10495028It does not fit fine in the waist, get your eyes checked, retard.
>>10495028nyart but getting this worked up is pointless. chillax. it's clothes. Nothing to set yourself on fire about
>>10495028It’s really not. If you follow the shop blog at all you will recognise the model and see that everything she models is too big on her, even though Boz aren’t exactly huge when it comes to their minimum measurements. If you look at her in more fitted things, you will see just how tiny she is. This is a fit, not design, choice. You really do need to calm down.
Who else hates it when people mix up gothic lolita and dark sweet one?
>>10495838I don't care when people mix styles because it can still look good. Frankly, I really hate how anal lolitas are about keeping substyles separate when they blend into one another so often. I don't get dressed thinking "today I'm gonna wear gothic lolita", I just put together an outfit that looks nice.Sure, it's kind of retarded when newbies call an entirely AP coord in black gothic, but anyone more experienced can tell the difference so it's not like it's doing any harm.
>>10492226I mostly have AP in my wardrobe but I def have a mixed bag of Moitie, Meta, and Physical Drop in there.
Two new items from SheglitSwallowtail JSK & Swallowtail Ribbon CorsetThey're also having an anniversary event; if you spend over 30,000 yen, you get a custom lace tote.
>>10495838Do you mean mix up as a in combining sweet and gothic items together, or mix up as in confusing sweet pieces for gothic?Either way, I don't really care. There is no strictly defined border between different substyles and not every coord falls into obvious categories. What makes one of these nun OPs classic and the other gothic? Pretty much just the brand. And they could both be easily styled into a sweet coord. Why is MMM's Juliet OP gothic and AP's Ennui Doll JSK sweet? The answer can't be the lack of ribbons and lace on Juliet, bc plenty of gothic pieces have lots of ribbons and lace. Cut and color don't make sense either bc Ennui Doll comes in black, Juliet comes in cream and bright colors, both are high waisted dresses, and many dresses of both substyles have similarly wide or narrow skirts. They're both even a gingham pattern, ffs.The substyles just exist to help us describe certain aesthetics and styles. They aren't rules, they're adjectives.
>>10496253The IW dress has an A-line shape to it which isn’t really used in gothic as it gives a very classic looking silhouette and gives off a ”classy victorian lady” sort of vibe, especially combined with the bottom ruffle. The moitie dress has a simple yet very full black skirt giving off a ”gothic doll” kind of vibe. The difference is subtle but it’s still there.
>>10496264Except A-line is pretty common in both gothic and sweet lolita, and victoriana is a very gothic thing.
>>10496264Uhhh... The new Nun OP is clearly based off this older design-- which has a clear Aline shape. Also, if you just scroll up a bit, you'll see multiple Aline cuts in this thread alone. The "gothic doll" vibe isnt the only aesthetic to gothic lolita & Aline skirts are EXTREMELY common.
>>10495838>>10495884The only time it ever bothered me was when some idiots were claiming they were gothic/classic lolitas who HATE sweet, "please no sweet pls".All the while posting pictures of btssb and AP in darker colours. While at the same time spewing nonsense about how retarded sweet lolita looks. Like I get it, they have mental issues with admitting they like sweet lolita, but why do I have to deal with it just because they have some sort of mental problem. If they were just quiet and dealt with it themselves instead of sperging their self-hate problems all over the internet I'd be a lot less annoyed when people blend/mix the substyles.
>>10496253ID on the IW dress ?
>>10498246Fleur-de-lis Lace Nun OP
>>10495838i dont see the problem when people mix substyles, if it is done in an interesting way while it still matches it can look really cool!
>>10496213Underbust is an awful cut
Is shegllit quality worth the price?
Tamie put Moitie's logo on her expensive gaming laptop and I'm in love
I'm not really interested in fashion or lolita stuff, all I know is that I want to fuck Mana, simple as.
>>10499133>>10499131i always wonder what she does for a living, she seems like she got so much money
>>10501657Family money. It isn't clear at first but she either has some shitty retail job or none at all, so you can guess the rest. She also buys normie burando on a regular basis - mmm is actually chump change for her.
>>10501667God, I wish I could be rich without effort
>>10501669Ngl I want her life and wish I also was a high flying lesbian socialite. No hate to her at all.
>>10501667Definitely family money. I once looked up a necklace she bought on a whim and posted in IG stories and was fucking floored that it cost over $10K, but definitely no hate- it was cool to see someone actually show details and share the piece.
>>10499131actually pretty rad
>>10499131home girl has a $55 bottle of moet ice champagne casually in the background. I don't recognize the other bottles, but I'd bet they're decently expensive too. I wish I could be her sweet lolita gf, she has great taste.
>>10508592$55 is standard for decent champagne isn't it? I was too impressed by that fancy ass laptop than to even notice that. >>10490169Is anyone else bothered by the way the waist ties attach at the bodice? I didn't get this release because of this, it seems to add extra bulk at the waist even if you fit it fine. If it's too big then they just emphasise the looseness.
>>10508645I'd say $15-30 is standard for decent champagne. Of course I'm talking about wine store prices. I know by the glass in most bars/restaurants, Moet Ice is usually $16-18, and if you were to buy a whole bottle in a bar/restaurant it'd be $90+.
>>10508645I don’t see it actually adding bulk? It just is gathered. It’s the same as the long op and gardenia op
>>10508648I don't think I've had $15 champagne that was decent, but we also have crazy import taxes here for alcohol so everything is inflated I guess.>>10508651I feel like the gatheredness makes the waist appear larger than it is? I'd have preferred if it was a belt across or if the waist ties were the regular ones that aren't gathered.
>>10508657Cupcake prosecco definitely isn't terrible and it's like 10 bucks at most grocery stores in the US. Kriter blanc de blanc ice is basically a cheap version of Moet Ice and it's $15 and pretty good. I guess being a Burgerlander isn't the worst all the time, at least we can drink decent bubbly for cheap to forget about the whole no healthcare thing.
>>10508667Thanks for the recommendations anon, I'll keep a lookout for those. It'll probably be like $30 here after import taxes. That comment about healthcare, oof. Take care out there anon.
>>10499131Link to her social media?
>getting an extra $200 on this coming check due to covid spiking again>starts seeing what to buy as soon as it hits my bankI'm about to order 2 sets of OTKs and a headbow from MMM, new wig and a blouse form taobao.I'm super excited to finally get more MMM items as all i currently have is an cardigan from 2014ish.
>>10499131Her coords are nice but the photos are so grainy. She can afford a better setup for pics.
>>10509663She, and honestly her friends too, seem to abuse filters and that ruins the quality. You can see it easily when you look at that V chin.
>>10509705She is over 40 so it’s understandable. I would like to see what she really looks like and wouldn’t judge her for wrinkles.
>>10509707SHE'S OVER 40????????? damn
>>10509832Actually I just realized I mixed her up with someone else who wears a lot of moitie and recently mentioned she’s over 40, but I’m pretty sure Tamie is too.
>>10509845Source? She did mentioned she is in her thirties in her stories but 40???
>>10509921She's been around for an age, since the early egl livejournal days. Most folk from that era are in their late 30s, early 40s by now, unless they joined as a younger teen.
>>10512211Sorry, it was this other mmm fan who mentioned she was over 40 in her stories recently (on twin tails day).
>>10509845Nah pretty sure Tamie is 35. I think she was well established on daily_lolita/egl by the time I got there in 2008 and might have been early 20s then - username was different though, like tamu love or something? >>10512348Wonder what she looks like without filters.
>>10499This is so cool

I'm tempted, but i hate you can't pick the colorway just cause i want the black/black colorway..
>>10518727I’m gonna try for it. I couldn’t decide which one I like more so I’m sort of glad it’s random lol
>>10518727I'd prefer the black x white, myself. Would be happy to trade if we each got the one we didn't want.
>>10518849Deal. The white lace is cute but besides black my only colors are wine, and mmm blue. So i feel like i have to buy more white accessories for it.
I honestly don't get what's the point of scalping this blatantly. I mean, japanese buyers can even see in their feedback that they bought it from one platform and resell it on another. I'm sure they regulary use the search function too. Don't japanese even have a bigger shame culture than the west?https://item.fril.jp/99a4678facb10ef63a63f5d6cec00617https://www.mercari.com/jp/items/m91210835060/
>>10521351I noticed that as well, what a shithead.
>>10518727So the lace on the dress might be different in the release next year. Any bets on which lace it will be?https://twitter.com/moitie_official/status/1340900512846123008
>>10521550I'm guessing either the arch lace or rose lace, if lucky maybe the candelabra lace. And yeah i passed even thought the deal was good, but i don't want the chance of getting the whitexblack and then struggle finding someone to trade with. I rather just pay a bit more if it's released for a higher price to get the color way i want, though i'm hoping they add a blackxblue colorway.
>>10521543I wish japanese would just block those assholes already but I guess they are too polite.https://www.mercari.com/jp/items/m15028584742/https://page.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/g473814317
>>10498950Yes>>10498835Disagree. It's fine as long as you aren't fat nor too busty
What's the difference between 2019's two MMM Silent Moon OP re-releases? I've read something about the improved printing technique, is it really that noticeable?
>>10498835It entirely depends on your figure. Personally it’s my favourite cut.
>>10523303The black and blue got better, it got brighter, more of a blue blue. The printing technique is comparison to NGA having loose glitter. Other colours had no change
Gulls, did anyone get the Cross Rose JSK? What's the verdict on the sturdiness of the straps? They seem so delicate so I was hesitant to get it, afraid they might be prone to quick wear and tear.
Some pics of Moitie Misako
>>10523857Personally I think she looks great. I’d love to see her to modeling for Moitie
>>10523857I honestly love misako in Moitie, i would like to see her become a model for them.
>>10523857she looks like a completely different person with black hair, i'd love to see her model for moitie tho
>>10523859Misako really is tiny!
>>10523859the bagginess of the bodice is actually pretty cute now that i see it on someone
>>10523857Love the black hair and strong upper lid line look on her

In case anyone wasn't aware, Moitie is accepting reservations for an MTO for Nun OP they released in October, starting on January 16th at 3pm.
>>10532945I might go for this... The reservation will be open through WW?
>>10532980100% WW has been full on paired with MMM for awhile. They even had the MTO cross jsk last month up there.
>>10532945I want to get excited about this, but Nun Bib with no High Collar? Why?Speaking of, do you think Moitie will ever go for a priest vestments type of look for a men's release? just as a compliment to all the nunnery happening.(in b4 that's not what nunnery means. i know. It's Joke)
>>10533184Honestly I wish they had rereleased the proper original Nun Rose OP, the trim was much nicer looking, the collar had a high neck and it looked much nicer with the bib removed. This one is so boring in comparison.
>>10533188There's only so many things you can do to a nun's habit before you run out of original ideas. They could try bustling the back or pin tucking the collar but then it wouldn't be quite a moitie look, would it?
Inspired by >>10533265, I'm going to dump a bunch of nun and nun-influenced main pieces suitable for gothic lolita.
>>10533355Antique Beast Immoral Sister removable collar
>>10533368And on that note, Boz has announced that they're taking reservations for their Clarissa OP in a new blue x white colorway. ¥28,380Expected to arrive in early February.https://www.atelier-boz.co.jp/products/detail/298
>>10533366Praying this gets another rerelease
Is it just me or do gothic lolitas list things second hand less often than other lolitas? I feel like goths hardly let anything go unless there's a fit issue or it's being replaced entirely due to damages>>10533339I take it back, I suppose i never realised how many variations there could be on the theme.Didn't Ate Pie make a redXblack nun OP? I feel like they did. I liked it a lot. Switching the colors around really did a lot for the look.
>>10533528100% thisi'm on secondhand sites everyday all day, and i barely see gothic anywhere like maybe every 2,000 sweet i see a gothic piece MAYBE
>>10533528I definitely think this has always been the case, I wonder whether it's because gothic lolitas often find their items more versatile and/or wear other variants on gothic fashion as well so are more likely to keep gothic lolita in their wardrobe rotation.
>>10533628I always assumed it was this. Same for why more versatile, especially solid or floral classic pieces also rarely pop up- because they can also be worn easily for more normie-looking casual looks.
>>10533528Dunno about red, but there was one in blue that I would love to get my hands on https://lolibrary.org/items/atelier-pierrot-sister-op
>>10533528>>10533776It came in blue x black, red x black, and black x black.
>>10533820Thank u, now I want it in red AND blue~!
>>10533820Thanks, gulls. It had been bothering me all day. Thought I was loosing it.Still kicking myself for not getting it.
