Idk what happened to previous thread, so here we go. Can someone recall the retail price for Carnival second edition?
>>10398429Got to find anon posting on this matter https://warosu.org/cgl/thread/10113874#p10116834
>>10398429This color? No more than $400.
>>10399193Anon says MTO order was ¥48900 before tax. Probably it happened to be more pricey to make all the scallops and pony appliques in 2017.
size m, white colorway
>>10398429How can you tell the difference between the editions? I was thinking of buying one but I want to make sure I know I’m getting
>>10402900From what I know the only difference is the tag. I've asked so because I expected the latter release to affect the price of both so it's somewhere near re-release retail price.
I try again... gloria with matching headdress?
>>10403021last dress sold for 180 but i guess with cape I'd probably say 300+ because I doubt anyone would sell the cape by itself
>>10402900Besides the difference in tags, I noticed the re-releases in pink and pink x red being a darker shade of pink than the originals? I haven't been able to tell the difference between the black releases, though.
Wondering..... Second hand, without accessories.
>>10403013This isn't 2010, anon. No one remembers Gloria being scalped. I had another super scalped old AATP dress and had to sell it dirt cheap. Newfags have memed all old Moitie and AP into being scalped nowadays while Baby/ AATP/ IW dies in popularity
Princess Cat bag? Curious.
>>10406413Saw it on mercari for 10K yen recently. So $100 or so sounds about right.
>>10406726>Newfags have memed all old Moitie and AP into being scalped nowadaysplease tell me when this hasn't been the case? 2007? AP and MMM have always been the most popular brands with expensive prints.
>>10407727There was a pretty heavy dip for both old AP and Moitie within the last couple of years. People even speculated Moitie being the next brand to go under until WW took over because they weren’t releasing anything and no one cared about the 2nd hand. If you were buying from like 2015-2018 then you landed the sweet spot, prices are insane now compared to what they used to be for both brands.
kind of curious about this one, especially in this colorway
>>10407727I used to get MMM bargains all the time on the non-print stuff back in the mid-10s (the prints have always been scalped though, you're right). For example, I got the Rose Tulle skirt for €80 in like 2014 and it sells for easily twice that now.
>>10408011Sorry, Tulle Rose, not Rose Tulle.
considering selling, does anyone know around what i should ask? its like new, no damages
Princess Cat Jsk in pink?
>>10410623200~250 in good condition
>>10408034I’ve been wanting the sax OP, but it seems like it’s not going to happen so I’d be happy to buy this off you. I’ll give you $400, email me if you’re interested.
>>10414102Fuck that’s cute
How much do you think an all black princess shirring jsk will go for these days?
>>10414145Honestly? $50 max, possibly less
>>10414145One just like it recently sold on LM for $112. It’s one of the few old schoolish dresses that’s accommodating to larger lolitas so there will always be a decent market though all one color is the least popular style. Do an auction, I’ve never seen Shirring Princess not get a bite on auction and I’ve sold three over the years. I think if anything people tend to under price them as a BIN and miss out on money. Start the auction at $80 and see where it goes
>>10414148>>10414154Thanks for the input gulls. I figured it wouldn’t be worth much. I bought it as an easy loaner piece for any of my friends that wanted to try out lolita. I guess I’ll just keep it for shits and giggles
Had this lying around for awhile be hard to let go of it but think it would be better off going to someone who would actually wear and appreciate it more. Idea on price?
>>10418393A-Anon, when you get a price, do you plan to post it in the BST thread or on LM? I’m really interested in this!
>>10418430I plan to post it up on Lacemarket eventually.
>>10418444Okay, I’ll keep a close eye out, thanks!
>>10418393I think you could get close to $100 for it. An identical one sold a month ago for $90 and AH retains value really well
How much do peppermint fox pins go for? I have a bunch but I don’t really like most of them. Some were bought as part of a lucky pack so not their most popular designs
>>10418588I think on average $15-20ish a piece if they’re cute. More like 10 for less cute ones. The less cute ones would be ones that look just like a plain gem or egg or like a military ribbon. Any animals would be worth closer to twenty
How much do qpot jewelry pieces go for? Rings, necklaces, I haven’t seen much on lacemarket.
>>10418648there's a bunch on closetchild
>>10418497a bit offtopic but what happened to AH? they just stopped, never made an announcement or anything
How much does Lady Rose usually go for? Looking at the skirts and maybe JSKs.
>>10418666Their website is still up and they have things for sale still, but yeah, it’s been the same collection for at least a year.
Why is the MTO of Honey Cake going for $300+ when everyone here hates it?
>>10419070Because not everyone goes on cgl probably?
>>10418430https://egl.circlly.com/auctions/automatic-honey-angel-tears-acrylic-necklaceNta who owns it but just spotted it up for sale and remembered you, anon
Anyone know what cream cookie collection is worth these days? Took a hiatus from lolita and missed the MTO back when it happened. I love the dress but I don't have $500 and wonder if I should just give up searching for it for a better price
>>10407699The western market might be able to fetch around $50 more than that on it
>>104077272010-2017 was a good time to buy older AP pieces (solids), for pennies to the dollar. I’ve scored so many solids for under $100 but now they’re double the price
>>10419288I got mine for 300 recently
>>10419195Just saw this because of work being busy but I just bought it! Thanks a bunch anon!
>>10419533All the cute old solids that would sit for months cost $200+ and sell instantly now I hate it here
>>10419948For real, the amount of listings on LM is way smaller than it used to be because everything is snatched up instantly. I blame the Chinese lolitas. Every listing I’ve made recently I’ve gotten questions about whether I’ll ship to a Chinese lolita with a forwarding service address that’s not listed on their PayPal
>>10419968If I ever get a request like this, it's going to be a hard no from me.
>>10419974Yup, that’s exactly what I said. She bought the item anyway and was like heehee it’s fine, right? She got an instant negative and black list from me
>>10420003Thank you for doing god's work.
Anyone know the price for Alice and the Pirates Time of the Roses OP in blue? I've seen the black OP and JSKs go for 180-185$ but have no idea about the blue. I'm thinking of selling.
>>10419968>>10419974>>10420003No offence, but isn't this the exact same with Japanese sellers and westerners? I know cgl isn't a hive mind, but neraly everytime someone couldn't buy from a japanese seller because they blocked the ss or something like that, it was met with negative comments towards the seller. Where is the difference? Nearly every argument towards western market not opening up to china can be directly applied to japan not opening to our western market.
>>10420023I have no problem with the SS buying it. I have a big problem with someone buying it and expecting me to send it to their SS when their shopping service isn’t listed as their PayPal shipping address. And this is what they’ve asked me to do. By sending it to any other address other than the one listed as the paypal shipping address they can say they didn’t receive it and scam me out of a free dress
>>10420023there's a huge difference between regular SS and the weird "dropship" SS shit anon is talking about.
>>10419288One for $300 here anon:https://egl.circlly.com/auctions/ap-cream-cookie-collection-jsk-c8fa4f9d-2924-4662-abc6-88de7f6bad19
What is cotton candy shop worth these days? Thinking of selling mine but unsure what the market price is now
>>10420761Last one that I remember being sold with KC and socks was a good bit over $200
>>10420747Thank you anon! For a second though it was BIN and got excited, but then realized it's auction only. I'll wait and see how high the bids get
Whats the most ya'll would spend on Melty Cream? Im a fool and my wallet is about to part ways
>>10420890(personally) jsk ~260 usd, op ~320. lines up with a lot of the prices in the history, although I'm sure other people would go higher
>>10420890 The MCD JSK in pink would easily go over $300 in an auction. Unless there is a piece just called "melty cream" I don't know about and that's what you mean?
Anyone know what the lavender dolly cat low waisted jsk is going for?
>>10421301I want to know this too. I thought people hated the low waist version, but now I see it getting sold for ~$200 or even ~$250? There's also that listing sitting on LM for $400 BIN. I want to sell mine in the future because I finally found the regular pink JSK.
are these worth anything anymore?
>>10421318I bought it on a whim and it doesn’t fit right now. Even when I lose the weight that low waist is gonna look hella weird on me because I’m short. Like...uhhhhhhhhh. I want it gone.
I'm debating on selling these. I've never used them but they were in storage so their saddles are severely discolored and parts of their ribbons are slightly frayed. If I can oxyclean their saddles to hopefully as close as their original state, how much could I get for them?
>>10421407Each i meant
Is wrapping cherry really worth 300 now? I like the dress but can't imagine spending over 250 for it
>>10421408I think the anon did mean $250-$300 each (as long as you can clean them). Lately these are going for more and more.If you have the blue x white one, I would be a very interested buyer. He's the last one I need to complete my favorite colorways and I'm willing to drop some benjamins.
>>10421412I should add, I know I missed this one twice recently. I had put in an order with my SS twice and both times they were 10 minutes too late.
I have an original release velveteen babydoll JSK I’m probably going to list for sale. What is a reasonable price to ask for this?
>>10421417A badly damaged one seems to have sold for $166 on LM. Maybe put it up for auction starting at $150.
>>10421408Yes, each. That brown x pink one was listed for $250 recently and went fast.
>>10421426Anon, how does that make any sense unless the one they have is also badly damaged? I say start at $200, that dress goes for a ton on the Japanese market, especially in velveteen
>>10421407Well shit, I might as well sell it. I wasn’t aware they were worth that much.
>>10421403There was an anon in I think the BST thread looking for pony bags anon, might wanna check them out first
>>10421476$150 is a bait price, it's obviously going to sell for much higher.
>>10421522Go with a ridiculous price, some retard might go for it. You can always lower if shit doesnt sell
>>10421403How much discolored are they?
>>10421409It only inflated when someone posted a WTB post here. It's not worth that much, people are just scalpers.
>>10421899The pink x brown isn’t as discolored as the pink x sax, which has yellowed significantly. Gonna try oxyclean or a plant based cleaner to whiten it before I even attempt selling (if I do, still debating on it).
>>10422100*brighten, not whiten
>>10422038I posted it, and now feel guilty. I wasn't the one who bought it, but I saw the pink one was reduced to $250 before it sold so at least it wasn't scalped to whoever got it.
>>10422100learn to store stuff better.
>>10422209Not trying to sound like a bitch but where can I store it? I had it in a large storage tub with other lolita accessories and it managed to turn gross.
>>10422222Why did it turn gross? Do you live in a humid area?
>>10422222>>10422223Nayrt but I'm not sure if it's the humidity or the plastic in the tub that makes things yellow? I keep almost all of my items in the open air and haven't had things yellow or discolor. I always thought I was either magical or everyone else was really unlucky.
>>10422223Not sure, maybe there was just a lot of space in the the tub that wasn’t used? And my closet tends to trap heat. But yeah I do live in a humid place so I imagine that doesn’t help. I’ll just oxyclean the saddle since the pony’s body has no dirt and isn’t matted.
>>10422223NTA but yellowing is caused by a lot of different things, sweat or other bacteria oxidizing, mold, mildew, and being in a storage tub won't keep the air out. this is why vacuum sealing is so important, even for short term stuff. keeping the air out when storing things is what prevents the mold or discoloration. it's really impossible to know what happened though. just make sure to vacuum seal all your items, especially if they were used.
Same anon as dolly cat. Still wanting to know price on dolly cat but also if anyone knows about the pink girl’s heart jsk then that would be swell.
>>10422230God, I treat my dresses and blouses with the utmost care but treat my accessories like shit. I needed to hear this, thanks!
Was someone looking for this?https://egl.circlly.com/auctions/ap-op-set-btssb-accessories
>>10422225it's the plastic tub
>>10422322nayrt but fuck, I store some of my dresses in a plastic tub, what else can I put them in
>>10421403if above anon isnt interested in pinkxsax due to discoloration feel free to email me as well! i definitely might be interested <3
>>10422225>>10422322it's not literally the tub but storing them in a closed space in general causes mildew.
>>10422323>>10422333BHT (butylated hydroxyl tolune) in plastic causes yellowing my dudes
>>10422323you want a breathable cotton storage bag otherwise the fibers in clothes will break down
>>10422326I’ll let you know if I ever decide to sell them! I bought them when I was still a OTT sweet lolita and don’t want to end up regretting parting with them because sweet has a special place in my heart.
>>10421318Hey, anon! Follow up! I didn't get an immediate response so I had the idea to google search wunderwelt listings that had sold. Low waisted Dolly Cat seems to have gone for like $211 in good condition, then closer to $150 in poor. Granted those are two different colorways than I have. But it's something to go off of. Hope that helps. (also I did the same thing for Girl's heart and just took a stab so I'm good on answers. Thank you everyone.)
>>10422342no worries i totally understand! i only have one right now and i absolutely adore her so i totally understand why they would be hard to give up
>>10422338>>10422341would something like this work? https://www.amazon.com/iwill-CREATE-PRO-Household-Collapsible/dp/B0831D2448/thank you so much anons
>>10403021>>10403162180 is low for this dress, especially in red. They can get way more for it than that even without the cape, if they're willing to wait more than a couple of days for it to sell.Source: bought it in black.
>>10422235I’m guessing around $150 max. This dress wasn’t popular at all.
>>10422596Sold for like $220 earlier today on LM iirc
>>10422597Really? It was in stock forever. I guess pink dresses usually do okay, though.
>>10422594Adding on to this: the red set with cape sold for about $500 recently and $415 a year ago so I would start somewhere between there.
>>10422599Yeah, I was bummed since I was hoping it would get reduced. I'm hoping to find it for cheap since it was so unpopular. Imagine my surprise when it actually sold for the asking price, and it had slight damages
Price check for Sugar Hearts Jsk set in white.?
Pricing for IW blouses? I just found some in different sizes from an old luckypack that I apparently packed for a move and then never unpacked or touched. So they're old despite being BNWT.I'm actually thinking of selling similar sizes in lots rather than one by one, is that better or worse?
>>10422827Depends on which blouses they are anon, I think even in new condition IW blouses won't go for more than 100 dollars. Which ones are you planning on selling? Since I've been looking for their chiffon stuff.
>>10422205They should go around the $150 mark. Sometimes people see the WTB posts on here or on the DD thread and think they can turn a profit due to scarcity of a certain dress. Trust me, it'll come up, you won't need to cave to whoever is scalping it for their own gain.
>>10422827If it’s the kind of blouse in the pic, you can probably get like $60-$70 max, and that’s if you’re patient. IW has a cheap secondhand market and their blouses aren’t that popular in the west.
>>10422811anon are you selling? if so email me willing to pay what you think is fair, i also have a friend whos been looking forever who i wanna give priority to
>>10422945It is a maybe at the moment. Been trying to find the pink set before selling it.
>>10422851NTA but I only found one has been sold for 150 in the history of LM, with most selling around the 250 mark.
Is this real life? I have the yellow colourway of this necklace and I can't believe how crazy AP jewelry has been selling for lately
>>10424437I was wondering about this. It's almost at 400 USD now. I know it's AP, but man...
>>10424457>>10424437I'm the anon that bought a necklace for $200 awhile back, and even I find this egregious.
>>10424491why do you insist on continuing to bring this upliterally no one cares
>>10424437Yet you barely see anyone wearing it, it's hilarious.>>10424494Mental illness, probably.
>>10424494Because you still care, anon. Also, mostly for context.
>>10424491Buying a $200 necklace is not a personality trait jesus fucking christ
>>10424491holy fuck. this has got to be a joke at this point
>>10420761Hey! If you're selling then look my way!
How much does Kuma Kumya’s Marine Island go for? I have it in the worst colorway desu
>>10424491What necklace is it?
>>10421403Anon! I’m in the BST looking for these babies! If you ever think of selling one please email me!
How much did y'all pay for Honey Cake, the mto one? My budget is $400 and it feels like it's not enough lmao
https://lolibrary.nyc3.cdn.digitaloceanspaces.com/images/1bf88290-26f8-5c10-9a4a-91466bb122a7.jpegHow much for Sugar Pansy with/without set?
3 dream dresses and any of AP's plush bags, just so i know what to expect when hunting
Big feeler, I have this JSK in orange and have worn it once in the years I’ve had it. I’m not sure I’m going to sell it anytime soon, but how much can I realistically ask for it? I do not have the hat or pin, but I have the JSK and necktie. I’m starting to feel like it’s a waste if I’m not using the items I have, the collector joy has left for the most part.
>>10426595I think putting it up on auction would be the best idea. I'm not sure if it's still a sought after dress(last time I saw the black colorway, it sat at 40k on mercari for more than a month before getting deleted), but at least one anon in the DD thread keeps posting it once in a while.
>>10426595I know 3 people personally who have this as a dream dress so I would agree auction is the way to go.
>>10426558Our lord Chick-chan has no price. He transcends monetary values.
>>10426634i must possess him
>>10426640For real though, I think the last time he went up for sale was a yahoo jp auction for $300 or something. I got my divine baby a little over a year ago (from a different listing) and can't imagine what the resale price is now.
>>10426597>>10426631 Thanks for the advice! If I do decide to sell I’ll likely do an auction.
Toy parade jsk in lavender. Secondhand, no accessories
Meta cat bubble bath jsk in this colorway. Its one of my dream dresses and I want to know how much I can expect to pay for it on the secondhand market.
What would the price be for Rose Ribbon Embroidery, and which colors would be more expensive than others?
>>10427938at least $800
im unsure if this even pops up secondhand but i want this for my wedding
>>10427943Only the velveteen version
>>10428303doubt - past sales would price it more around the $200 range, plus there was the re-release that people missed out on and are feeling the FOMO that'd be willing to pay more.Start bidding at $200, see what happens. Or BIN at 250.
>>10427917200+ for sure, 150 would've been the price a year or two ago.
>>10428306Toy Parade was not re-released recently. That was Toy Fantasy. Why do people always get this print mixed up? They look completely different.
>>10428383because I'm fucking stupid, anon.Regardless, >>10427917 is worth 200+
>>10428165They only made velveteen versions, 15 of each color and that’s it. There is no non-velveteen version. Velveteen is made of cotton so if you hear people say they say it described somewhere as cotton, they’re still talking about the velveteen version
I have memorial cake halterneck jsk that’s badly damaged. When I bought it the shirring was so badly stretched out that I haven’t fixed and I think I’ve given up trying to fix. There’s also discoloration. I also have the matching cloth bag and otks. I’m not sure how much to list it for.
>>10428380>>10428395I feel like most sweet dresses often sell with headwear so anything secondhand with no acessories at all I think $200 max is more fair (especially with how many LM people these days list something as like new when it's probably realistically more like gently used). But of course people are thirsty and it would likely go for more with an auction.
>>10428627Shittttt I’ll probably have to hold onto it then and fix it.
>>10428595do an auction, start at $95
>>10428595not to leech off this thread but depending on the discolouration i'll buy it off you anon, i'm in the market for 2010ish sweet prints
>>10428595Do an auction- I have a friend who desperately wants this JSK and is okay with damage.
>>10428595That’s fixable damage, anon, especially if it come with the tote bag which can be used to fix repairs. I agree with the others and start an auction
There is one on LM right now but it is on bidtrying to figure out how much it is really worth
How much would you pay for a damaged SC jsk? There’s damage on the skirt (2” cut) and yellowing on the under arms, but the main thing I’m worried about is the tag placement. Everything seems legit in terms of lace, buttons, built in petti. But the brand tag is sewn into the bodice area vs on the back. All the posts I’ve seen on LM don’t have that so idk why this one is positioned this way
>>10429532the lace looks really scratchy, are you sure this isn't a replica? If its not then I'd say 150-180
>>10429532I'm not sure about the tag. Usually the front, middle bow and the lace at the bottom hem are the give-aways for replicas.Do you have pictures of the cut? You may just want to put it up for an auction starting at like $50.
>>10429532The lace doesn’t look quite right, and the tag placing is bizarre. I’d use caution if you want to sell it, the last thing you want is to sell someone a replica, even unknowingly.
>>10429537I was worried about that as well since I know there’s been incidents where replicas have had brand tags sewn on them, but the seller said she got it 10 years ago (can confirm from the last worn pic which had a time stamp cause it was from IG), and the lace trim checks out? Here’s my 2 birds pic with the cut and the lace
>>10429541I’m actually the one buying not selling haha. The seller is being super honest about the situation and is looking into her buying history to see if there’s more info
>>10429540Here’s a front pic of the dress. Seller said shes not sure where the waist ties are either but it’ll come with the KC. She said she’ll try to find the waist ties before it ships out tho
>>10429545Sorry to continue the spam but it looks like the total damages are:-2” cut on the front left-missing waist ties-yellowed pit area-broken lace on the back corset area And of course the strange tag placement. Again, I’m the buyer not the seller!!
>>10429546The tag placement is really what gets me. It’s just too weird. I’ve never seen any brand dress like this. It could very well be legit, but that’s a hell of a “misprint” (I’m not sure what to call it).
>>10429546Sorry, my bad! I assumed you were the seller. This is a picture of my rereleased SC and I'm worried that yours doesn't seem to have the pink "icing" border thing?
>>10429552No worries, I appreciate you taking the time to take pics of yours to compare! This is the closest pic I got for the bodice to show the yellowing and it looks like there’s some pink frosting at the bottom but none at the top?
>>10429550Yeah that’s the part that had me come running to you guys for help haha. I’ve never had an AP dress where the tag was dead set on the front vs on the side.
>>10429554Hmm I'm not sure anymore? Mine is also like that on the sides. What gets me is that button for the JSK straps is like... perfectly the same.
>>10429554Actually zooming in more... it looks like there might be the pink icing border on the front?
>>10429564Oh I see it!! So it might be legit but these damages tho...should I offer $200 for the set or is that still generous considering? She might have the OTKs too, she said she’s looking for them
>>10429567>>10429542The only other thing that bothers me is the border on the hem. The white space on mine is perfectly parallel along the entire bottom. In your picture it kind of slants and disappears? But it's so weird. It doesn't seem like a staple replica. I'm so stumped.I think $200 is too high. It has a lot of damage in my opinion?
>>10429567>>10429568I forgot to add... This might be because mine is a rerelease. I don't have the original release, unfortunately.
>>10429567$200 seems generous, even though I’m now leaning towards it being the real thing. It still has some damages, so I think $180 is more appropriate.
>>10429568I’m also stumped. If it is a replica, it was made with an exceptional amount of care and attention to detail. There’s dozens of Holy Lantern replicas out there and none of them look remotely as close to the real thing as this.
>>10429568I never noticed that until you brought it up!! I can see in the full pic that the white boarder disappears or appears uneven. Not sure if it’s because it needs a steam or what tho. I’m also concerned about laundering it since I know it can be washed in the machine but that cut could get worse right? I guess I’ll throw $180 out there and hope for the best. Thank you for the help!! If any other anon wants to weigh in, I’m open to more opinions
>>10429574Right? I wish I had the original release so I could have an exact comparison... Usually something about the replica is a dead giveaway. The tag is the most suspect.I wonder if the seller could take a picture of the fabric care label in the lining of the dress? Although that probably tells us nothing because if the replica-makers sewed the AP tag in, they probably sewed the fabric care label in too.
>>10429578I can take a look at the tags when I meet up in person for the dress. I know the seller well enough to know they wouldn’t actively pass off a replica as the real thing, nor are they the type to own replicas in the first place. But that tag is like a thorn in my side. WHY IS IT THERE?! And what’s up with the wonky boarder? Perhaps it is the first release and it was just shoddy craftsmanship from AP? My other guess was that the previous owner altered it and moved the tag. But that’s weird to me too.
