How are you dressing up and keeping the kawaii spirit alive while on quarantine, seagulls?>Favorite kinds of roomwear>Do you actually sleep in your roomwear or do you change before bed?>Brand recommendations >Are you dressing up too or just wearing loungewear?
Cute roomwear like this used to be popular back in the early 2010s but jfashion is less "cutesy" so this is harder to find now.
I've been shopping for slippers lately, so I'll share the images I saved.La Luice
>>10375892Ebay. I don't know the real source.
Anyone have sources that aren't closed/defunked
>>10375892drop links if you can anon! i would love to get my hand on cute slippers. i feel like a slob in cute roomwear with ugly socks.
>>10375897Rakuten. I think they're sold out, but there are similar ones on Ebay, but those have a back so better for colder climates.
>>10375899Shirohato is the main one I know of in japan that seems to ship to US. they also have a rakuten storefront. But their stuff isn't as cute as it was years agohttps://www.shirohatoshop.com/en/shop/r/r1006_p2/
>>10375903Les Secrets by Laduree is a roomwear brand that Misako promoted in a recent video.
>>10375910Betsey Johnson. I just ordered these from Macy's because I wanted a simple open toe design.
>>10375911DearMyLove. Haven't checked if they're still in stock.
>>10375922Gelato PiqueThat's all, folks. If you see some more lacy ones like the first ones I posted >>10375892, please share.
some korean brands have cute roomwear, like Chuuhttps://en.chuu.co.kr/category/pajama/1480/
>>10375947i have this one and even though im on the chubbier side it still fits! its really warm so i don't actually sleep in it. it comes with a scarf thing i don't really know what to do with.
>>10375880im ugly as hell during this quarantine
>>10375880This thread has inspired me to get more cute room wear! Sometimes I sleep in room wear, depends on the material and how comfy. brands for room wear: Peter Alexander & Angelic pretty. >just in lounge wear cbf to get dressed
Bless you for starting this thread anon. I was too lazy to start one. I found a few cute optionshttps://item.taobao.com/item.htm?spm=a312a.7700824.w4002-22602072171.38.5e0461b77ndPx0&id=603647772814
>>10376063>Angelic PrettyAre we going to get anons in a tizzy because someone sleeps in AP sack dresses again? Please say yes
>tfw to elegant gothic lolita aristocrat vampire romance for comfortable roomwear
>>10376104Doesn't AP actually have roomwear? I'm pretty sure they used to do it in the early/mid 2000s
Because of corona chan I cancelled my gym membership, have to go in to work only once a week, and on other days get up, start with some cardio, and spend the day in work-out gear as a reminder to myself to get more activity in. To sleep/relax, while it's cold plaid flanel PJs from Muji that I got for Christmas, one blue/green and one grey/red, fluffy grey robe from costco, and now that it's getting warmer white cotton and lace PJs, still preferably with longer sleeves/legs, but this >>10376009 is goals. Cotton floral robe on top when it's chilly at night. In the summer when it's stupidly hot pastel shorts with pastel care bear t-shirts as tops.>>10375910Love Laduree and am going to look into buying some of their roomwear.
I've been wondering if VM's room wear release was planned long beforehand or is a response to the current shituation.

Nemeth Wild makes camisoles and bloomers in a light cotton that are very comfy to wear under lolita or while lounging/sleeping. The camisole only seems to come in black though.
>>10376234Should I buy it? I've been debating... If so, which colorway?
>>10376266Reservations ended around 15 hours ago, anon.
>>10376277If you hear a shrill ringing in your ear, it's me screaming in pure AGONY.
>>10376282Yes I can hear it please make it stopYou might have another chance in about two months when the reservations are shipped out. The Raspberry and Blueberry colourways haven't sold out yet.
>>10376025fuck, I wish my lounge wear was this cute
MaddeNightwear on Etsy also makes some lovely historical nightgowns for those more Classic & Gothic inspired.
Just got myself stinking cute pink Laduree PJs.>>10376301>twelve customers have added this to their cartIt looks beautiful. And they have it up to 6XL, fatty-chans rejoice!
>>10376301I love this, I wish I could sleep in something pretty but I know I'd rip this off my body and go back to an oversized tshirt and pajama pants, the long sleeves and high collar would bother me so much
>>10376301I love this aside from the neck, the lace makes me feel itchy.
>>10376422It looks like cotton crochet lace, it's probably way more comfortable on the skin than any other type of lace
>tfw fattychan means i cant get cute roomwearWorking on it, but like wew depressing in the meantime
>>10376104>not knowing about AP roomwearAh so this is the absolute state of cgl
>>10376493>not recognizing this is a memeCalm down. I know AP has actual roomwear, I was just hoping sackdress anon would surface again
>>10376502I actually know someone who considered getting an AP sack dress as room/sleep wear but I have my doubts she's on cgl.
>>10376513I don’t think it’s a horrible idea really. Last time it came up the “you’re ruining THE COMMUNITY’S clothing” squad came out
>>10375995holy shit this is gorgeous, what is the set called?
>>10376513I bought one of AP's cutsew OPs as lounge/sleepwear and I feel no shame. That dress was too short to even hold a petti and still look lolita anyway and I'm not tall.
>>10376552that's a great idea, anon!
i got pic related off amazon. it's pretty comfy and cute. you can find a lot for cheap just by searching "vintage nightgown" or "victorian nightgown".
I miss dreamv's cute loungewear
maan, this is such a wholesome thread, makes me wanna have a sleepover where we do cute things like play old flash games, eat snacks while we put ribbons in our hair :(
>>10376985we could gossip and do each other’s nails
>>10376985I'll bring some magazines and tarot cards...
>>10375880>Favorite kinds of roomwearIt depends on the temperature, during summer I love wearing comfy bloomers and camisoles as roomwear. When it's cold out cutsew dresses work really well. I also have a BtSSB hoodie OP that goes with any pair of bloomers to make a warm cozy roomwear outfit.>Do you actually sleep in your roomwear or do you change before bed?I definitely sleep in my cooler roomwear, it's comfy enough and it seems strange to change into something else to go sleep, that way I might as well wear a regular outfit instead.>Brand recommendations Almost all of my cutsew dresses are (older) Baby, they seem to use the softest fabrics and laces. For camisoles I've found a bunch of cute stuff by brands like Algonquins, Franche Lippee and Rose Marie Seoir. Generally more casual Japanese brands have the best roomwear-able stuff. Taobao has always disappointed me with roomwear since it's rarely made with comfortable, breathable fabric.>Are you dressing up too or just wearing loungewear? The longer the lockdown has been going on, the less I can actually be arsed to wear a full coord.
Gelato Pique is a Japanese brand that also has an American store. Their emphasis is on really soft, comfy pastel roomwear.
I found this taobao store that has a few vintage looking nightgown options: https://shop472037661.taobao.com/
>>10375910Anyone know where to find these? Tried looking but can't seem to.
>>10377199Shirohato have their PJs. There's a couple on mercari but not much.https://search.rakuten.co.jp/search/mall/laduree/?sid=190468&v=2Slippers: https://search.rakuten.co.jp/search/mall/laduree+%E3%82%B9%E3%83%AA%E3%83%83%E3%83%91%E3%83%BC/?v=2Also a couple on mercari.
>>10377171>bloomers as roomwearI recently discovered this and can’t go back
>>10377174>describes themselves as the largest and most luxury roomwear brand in the world>$75 pants>most luxury >whatAside from that weird description this is great. Thank you!
>>10377199i went to the secretsbyladuree website and hit the cart icon. i think you need an ss though.
its a stretch, but any cute stuff that would fit a US dress 24? prednisone got my weight fucked up hardcore
>>10377331Generic advice: You could commission nightgowns off Etsy. What are your actual measurements in inches? US 24 could mean anything.
>>10377331>US dress 24Whew you're one big bitch.
>>10377356They're probably at minimum a 3XL or bigger for reference, since pajamas don't need to be particularly fitted/can look cute when oversized.
>>10377358medications are one hell of a drug my dude. i was a medium before i started
>>10377358I was over 250 lbs at 5'1" before losing weight and even at my highest weight I wasn't a US 24
>>10377331Prednisone is an awful deal with the devil, I'm sorry.
>>10377363>5’1”No shit, do you know how big of a difference in sizes 5’1” and 5’6” are?
>>10377331MaddeNightwear posted upthread goes to 6L.
>>10377374What I'm saying is, they must be huge to be a 24 even at a more average height with their weight distributed better than a short person. It'll be hard to find a ton of jfashion options at that size.
>>10377329Does anyone own the bodyline cutsew OPs? I'm specifically interested in the sailor and unicorn ones and if they're comfy enough for room/sleep wear.
>>10377400Your not wrong, but it’s less than 140 cm according to the size charts I found, which means it will fit fully shirred brand from a lot of places without hitting max.
>>10377407I think a lot of fully shirred brand maxes closer to 130 from what I've seen. but you could squeeze into some meta and baby stuff.
>>10377402ive seen the unicorn one irl and its sweatshirt material and kind of scratchy
>>10377410Atelier Pierrot, Enchantillic Enchantilly, Meta, Baby, and obviously Maxicimam all go that largeSorry, I did some googling for a thing and i remember stupid shit like max measurements easily
>>10377431Which pieces? Because the majority of Lolita pieces from Meta BABY and even Maxicimam have been pretty tight on me at a 130cm bust. Especially blouses.
>>10377465>majorityI never said all, just full shirring.
>>10377625I'm referring specifically to the full shirring ones except MAXICIMAM since their stuff is just cut bigger to begin with for the lovely/large size (none of those prices would fit me if they didn't have full shirring.)That's just my own experience. If you know of pieces that are actually frequently available first or secondhand that go up to 140cm+ I'm honestly quite excited to hear about them cause I'd appreciate knowing about which pieced to keep am eye out for.
the natural-kei thread found this christian website that sells made to order clothes at a discount because god wants them to help make women modest again or something. they have nightgowns, etc. that would work for classic roomwearhttp://www.thekingsdaughters.com/nightgowns.html
>>10377329I have a Bodyline order on the way because I need more cute things to lounge in. I hope these are comfy enough for roomwear!
>>10377927Could you give a review of the bloomers and the sailor dress?
>>10377762Those prices are still too high for a frumpy design that would take a newbie with a sewing machine an hour and a half to finish, and I don’t want to be giving money to some kind of weird sub women cult even if they’re not making much of a profit. It’s beyond easy to find this kind of nightgown elsewhere, including at thrift stores if used sleepwear doesn’t bother you.
>>10377927That mermaid shirt is cute, does it come in men’s sizes?
>>10377762these are fugly, anon. don't do classic lolitas dirty like that.
>>10377927>>10377932I have the bloomers in white, the lace is nice but the fabric feels like a cotton poly blend. All in all, I like them for lolita but I haven't worn them as lounge wear yet. Seconding a review on the sailor dress please.
Has anyone bought a Maxicimam cutsew dress and do you rate it for roomwear? They don't look like they'd be great to sleep in, but the ones with less fussy bibs look like super comfy house dresses.
>>10382313I've bought one and as long as you're not busy or have a shorter torso, they fit comfortably once you remove the bow from the collar area. It's t shirt type material so comfy enough to sleep in imo.
>>10377961>that would take a newbie with a sewing machine an hour and a half to finishI always see people on cgl say this, but nobody I know finishes things that quickly, even if they have years of experience. Is cgl full of professionals or something?
>>10376301I love you I’ve been looking sth like this for very long time. Gives me Crimson Peak vibes
>>10382333No, it’s full of liars
>>10382333It is simple but would be more of a one day project, not an hour and a half. Especially if you choose to finish the seams.
>>10382333It’s called hyperbole.
>>10376301This is beautiful but I'm already uncomfortable just thinking about sleeping in something that covers my neck.
>>10382386That’s not what hyperbole is
>>10382360Yes it is. These are the same kind of liars that claim you can learn all katakana, hiragana and kanji in a day and pretend to be fluent when someone asks for a translation. Obnoxious shitposters.
>>10383534Hyperbole is a literary device that’s meant to be understood as fake, but exaggerated for effect. That person was just being an idiot and didn’t know how long it took to make a gown.

Any Japanese brands with nice sweatpants and hoodies?
>>10399575Angelic Pretty does hoodies but not pants. If you get a cutsew dress, you could wear local solid-color swestpants underneath.
>>10399581Sorry but I don't like AP that much. I'm looking for places that currently have sweatpants and hoodies in stock, not dresses since I already have plenty.
