A proper place for coord help.Post dresses and details about the type of look you are going for.I haven't been able to find one for a bit so I made one.
honestly id do black or red shoes bec gold looks unfitting with the rest of the red and black.
I'd get rid of the wrist cuffs and change the shoes to red or black. If you wanted to change the bag, there's a super cute rabbit-hat bag on Lolita Wardrobe.
>>10194466Ditch the tights for something that matches better. I agree that red or black shoes would be better
>>10194566I think the original tights look better, these look super cheap. Agree with black shoes though. Or maybe red ones.
>>10194466don't shoehorn gold shoes. I'd add maybe a bracelet, but wristcuffs don't work here.
>>10194725>>10194566Does it make a difference that the buttons on the cuffs are gold card suits?I did plan on black shoes I just forgot to put them in the image, the gold ones were just on the tights model. The edges of the cards in the print are gold trimmed and the cards are slightly off white, not perfect white.
>>10194725The gold shoes being shoehorned might just be a difference of opinion on this one. If you see the print irl, it has gold in it.
>>10194725Please return yourself to 2016
>>10194466Weird nitpick, but I don’t think think you’re going to like the way those necklaces sit on that neckline. I would wear a choker or a shirt necklace if the ties can be removed. Otherwise I would just go without and maybe pick up a red ring
Figured I’d ask since I’ve been struggling a little too, just recently picked this up and figuring out how I want to go about it. The only thing I’m solid on is doing a red blouse, but I’m not positive on what color shoe to go for. I’m thinking red as well since I’m leaning towards black/gold tights but I haven’t found any shoes that aren’t ridiculously sweet.
>>10195637If you want black/gold tights and a red blouse then yes, I would get red shoes. Alternatively, a black blouse and shoes with red accessories are would work.
Not my image, but I bought this dress on a whim and don't know what the hell to do with it. I'm 99% Angelic Pretty and I noticed none of my AP pinks match. Would a white blouse be appropriate?
>>10195991Oops, sage. It's Sleeping Beauty Rose by BTSSB and its missing the rose in the middle (bought second hand)
>>10195991Any type of white should be fine. I don’t own this, but based on the golds I would personally go with an ivory blouse. However, if it’s a blue toned pink I’d definitely do white.
>>10195637My friend has paired it with her Aatp 'Cabriole Legs Ribbon Shoes' and red boots. Both looked good with the dress
>>10195637use any black/gold chandelier tights (because meaning to the story)I poorly shooped the black rose in the bonnet to red.possibly use a normal sleeve beige blouse and add a nice long sleeve black bolero
From Feels thread-I let my 14 and 17 year old sisters-in-law use my Amazon PrimeI found the 4 items on the left in my wish list, which I know I didn't put there, so one of them, having seen me wear lolita often, is thinking about their babby's first coord. On the right I've tweaked it and added some options. What would you suggest differently?
>>10201066Your sisters have good taste, although shopping for lolita on amazon is a god-awful idea. I like most of what you put together, but the bjd tights are a little tacky. I would just go with some plain crochet tights in the same color as the blouse for future versatility.
>>10201066please don't buy lolita from amazon. it's like buying from milannoo
>>10201092>>10201088Not sure you're aware It's a taobao reseller, they are now on amazon too, just with more mark-up, I've already found the same dress for her cheaper direct from taobao with a ss (but it's also on english reseller sites too). I'm a daily lolita, yeah i know, I'm not dumb. Those aren't bjd. it's a frame pattern on the faux lace print far below the knee. (the alt pair to the right of those are creme hallow lace tights)
>>10201103>zooms in astronomicallyK, you’re right. Still don’t think the bow tights are a good investment, and the tights on the right are what I was talking about. I would go with those.
>>10201107future versatility is a good point
>>10201113Along those lines, while the purse makes it feel “special,” it might be smart to buy something like a gold heart purse that can be used in the future. I think it’s lovely and makes the look really shine, so it’s still a great choice. I’m just not sure how much use it will be for future outfits. I’d decide if you want to jumpstart her wardrobe or buy her a first coord. Or both.
Can I get some ideas to coord this JSK besides the classic black blouse x black tights and green/black shoes? Thanks!
>>10201174Try with wine blouse and stockings and black shoes
>>10201144I might gift her the purse. She chose this on her own without even mentioning it to me, so maybe sea prints speak to her. That actually gives me a better idea of who it is now that I'm more awake.
>>10201218Ohhhhh wine blouse might be a good shot! Thanks anon, I'll try it out!
I recently got aqua princess in this cut and color with the matching choker. Im absolutely in love with it, but I'd love to hear some ideas for how to coord it. I have mint shoes, a pink blouse to wear under and I just ordered a pink peignoir to possibly wear over the dress without a blouse. I have a general idea of how to coord it, I'd just love some extra ideas, its definitely the most 'princessy' dress I own and I'm still pretty new so I'm open to any suggestions.
>>10201174Did a quick mock-up of something you can do. White blouse with some frill at the top to break up the split block of black. Wine accents pulled out of the skirt.
>>10201252t i a r a
>>10201259That's awesome, anon! Now I'll have to buy a blouse like this, this will look great! Thanks a lot!
>>10195991I’m in love with this dress, anon.
>>10201739>>10201788Thank you kind anons! I really love the mermaid princess vibe so much. Would you be able to link me the wig or just the shop name? I'm definitely saving this for inspiration!
>>10202217I saved it a million years ago but I believe it’s gothic lolita wigs. The gyaru thread might be able to help you find hime wigs these days!
>>10201788This gives off a low key gyaru feel and I’m honestly living for it
>>10202476Oh that was entirely intentional ;)
>>10201259This kind of looks like Herajika's coord
>>10203189I don’t know who that is so it was not intentional
>>10201066honestly i love the tweaks on the right but i would keep the gold shell bag, gold shoes, and maybe some kind of gold shirt necklace/choker featuring a seashell plus a pearl, and maybe some dark blue/white/sade blue hair accessories along with pearls!! would be adorable. and perhaps a medium brown wig, in pigtails or braids, pigtails being with pearly hair ties and with the colored tiny bows on the top of the head arranged which ever way is pleasing. braids for pearls to be stuck in, maybe a seahorse brooch in the hair that is gold? and tiny blue and saxe ribbon bows arranged on the braids
>>10201066forgot to add that the tights look perfect desu
>>10201794i demand to know where the fuck that choker is from because i need it in my life badly
>>10203599okay, and I don’t mean to be rude, but if you can’t ask on a norwegian moose trapping board where can you? do you wear lolita? because what you described is very elaborate, which is fine, but I personally wouldn’t recommend a kid start out going in to that much detail, or buying that many items she will only wear once. or do you go to meetups a bunch so you have a while to prepare? idk, I just see people make suggestions like this sometimes and I’m trying to understand them.
>>10203603It’s baby. Go nuts, I wear it with everything
>>10203606nayrt but yes, reads as a lolita at heart who spends all their time making coord collages that theyll never wear, and puts a colored petticoat on said collage...
What would be good tights for this? I'm really new to lolita (just been admiring moitie for years now) sorry ahead of time. Mainly just going for very goth/gothic since that's mainly what I wear in general.
>>10202235cyperous gyaru wigs but they don't do many blondes anymore. Better off to stack two wigs when you find colours you like
>>10203856A good rule of thumb is to match your legwear/tights to the color of your blouse. In your case I would change the black ribbon on the shoes to a navy color so it's balanced.
tried to make a chocolate and cherries theme. Reasoning: hansel and gretel is a german folktale, what reminds me of germany? Ah yes, german black forest cake. This is very much shoe-horned in and vague, but I liked the fact that I needed to make my own accessories. Things photoshopped: cherries headband under the Musee Du Chocolat half bonnet, cherry brooch on the blouse, and finally the shoes will be hand-painted and i will attach a handmade bracelet onto them. The dress is the Musee du Chocolat low waist JSK in brown by Angelic Pretty.
>>10204103I feel like this is missing red accents in the middle. Swapping out the purse for one with red in it or maybe a cherry pin on the bow on the waistline might help. Really like your blouse of choice, though.
>>10204118Double posting, sorry, also I'd probably nix the OTKs. The dress is busy and you're adding an extra theme with the cherries, so the OTKs are confusing my eyes. I'd love it with plain ivory socks of any length.
>>10203856where is that blouse from anon? it is a mighty need.
>>10204103So, as today's debbie downer, I'm just here to warn you red and brown is often associated with blood and poop... the coord's cute, but I figure better you realise what you gotta avoid looking like. Also, if it's Hansel and Gretel I'd say a better dress is the Chocolate Fascinate series, though it doesn't really do cherries in chocolate.
>>10204090Thanks for the tip anon! >>10204123Your gift on taobao, I got it from a re seller though.
>>10204127>red and brown is often associated with blood and poopare you okay, anon?
>>10204121I do have some meta ankle length socks I could do instead. Thanks for the crit. I will see if any of my red bags are loliable since this coord is for Saturday.
>>10204127Unfortunately I had to think of of theme that fit my current closet instead of shopping for a new main piece this time around. Just didn't have the time. I figured chocolate was easy to shoe-horn in as part of some kind of fairytale. Lol.
>>10204127I’m sorry but wtf
>>10201174There's a bunch of colors in the print that you could experiment with. Ivory for sure, but also dark green and even that pop of color with the man's coat (not sure if it's more red, wine or orange-y). The plain bodice gives you options for layering over as well, like the blouse pictured. You could play with belts in ivory (to contrast) or in a detailed black (to add texture) or boleros/cardigans for cooler times of year. Gold could be nice for a more OTT look, and you can pick up on the motifs of letters, writing and flowers with accessories and/or tights.
>>10204103Honestly if you want to make it more obvious, nix the cherries and make a chocolate house bag or something. The cherries are kinda busy and getting lost in an already busy print.
>>10204193>>10204224It's from years of lurking the ita threads.Look, I'm not OP's mom, all I wanted was to mention that I've seen a lot of red x brown trashed that way, and then they can decide what they want to do after that. That's all, ok? No hard feelings.>>10204218In all honesty you could probably still do Hansel and Gretel, I don't think it required berries. Maybe add a witch hat and be the witch of the chocolate cottage instead. I had very little background to go on when I suggested an alternative main piece, other than Hansel and Gretel being mentioned in your post.
>>10204230>the ita threadpeople will reach for anything to have something to say
>>10204235It's multiple times, sorry to say. There's a specific Bodyline chocoberries print in red that always gets it, because it seems obvious to people to pair it with even more red and brown, but I've also seen it happen to full burando coords that's just solid brown and red.Anyways, I've said the warning I meant to say and I feel like I'm gonna end up derailing the thread, so that's that from me.
>>10204228This is a good idea, I will go all out on the Chocolate theme then.
>>10204090I've seen you spouting this bs everywhere, no it isn't a good rule of thumb, use this for exaple, black blouse black tights black shoes. See, it doesn't always works, it ends up boring or too heavy. I match blouse to shoes, or shoes and purse, shoes to bow, tights match lightest color in dress. Yes make sure each item matches at least one other thing, but stfu with your boring bland advice.
>>10204259>black blouse black tights black shoesNayrt, but this is a very old-school coording style and it can look very elegant. You match blouse, purse, socks & shoes to the lace on your dress and your hair accessory to your dress. Modern coording, like how you described, looks different but not necessarily better. Also, matching blouse to legwear works 90% of the time and IS a good rule of thumb. It’s easily balanced and can accommodate for oddly colored shoes.
>>10204259God this just reeks of conlita
>>10204259>I've seen you spouting this bs everywhere>Thinking just one person says thisWtf, this is basic coord advice
>>10204263You reek of boring irrelevance telling someone to have the only color in their whole coord be their Jsk skirt which is not old school style at all. Sincerely, a daily lolita with more life in one coord than your whole closet.
>>10204267Holy shit, just be okay with being wrong. What anon described is old school.
>>10204259I like that coording style too, just wanted to give basic advice that works for everyone. Not everyone has every shade of blouse/otk to match to their purse or random colors on their dress. But most people do have solid colored blouses in common colors, and solid colored tights are easy to get anywhere. If your goal is to make your first coord simple is better to start with.
>>10204269Follow the chain upThe dress it was advice to is not oldschool, does not have fine details and they will look heavy and boring.
>>10204267No one’s saying you can’t dress the way you described, just that matching blouse to leg wear is an incredibly common way to coordinate and is good advice for new lolitas. Get your bloomers out of your ass.
>>10204272One anon suggested adding a navy ribbon to the shoes, which would balance it just fine. The only thing I would suggest is maybe adding a bit of navy to the hair accessory to balance it out.
just copped this, any ideas? was thinking of a red x black OR red x white casual-ish coord.
>>10204127wow. i associate red and brown with blood and shit too... huh. Ita thread brainwashing, maybe.
>>10204383Red x black, definitely. I love this sort of smart, simple tartan jacket with a simple black velvet old-school skirt but that's my bias.
>>10194466Honestly, don't wear bodyline, is tacky af
>>10204383You could try doubling up on the tartan? Here's some inspiration for you
>>10206059This is a cardigan but I think you could style it similarly.
>>10206048>>10206059>>10206061>>10206061>>10206062these are adorable, cheers anons!
>>10206050Got eat a dick brandwhore conlita, there are reasons to wear it. As a daily lolita there are times and places that are more appropriate to not wear my nicest brand.Your attitude is tacky.
>>10206076No, there really isn’t. Poorfag
>>10206085Enjoy spending 8 hours getting dressed to take pictures at a restaurant. Some of us have lives to live
>>10206165Don't respond to obvious bait. These roleplayers are becoming too transparent.
>>10206165>>10206169>Implying that isn't bait and you truly believe that horse shit
>>10206176This sentence makes no sense my friend
>>10206070Glad to be of service!
>>10204642I'm always wondering wtf is wrong with y'alls bowels to associate those two in the first place. It ain't normal
Stuck on this. May be able to grab the matching headbow at least but so far I'm thinking lavender blouse, yellow cardigan, the toy parade socks by AP if they turn out to match once the dress arrives, and lavender tea parties. I'd love to incorporate more pinks as well and get a good balance of all these colors so I'm thinking about making a cute rosette. I'm mostly stuck on the blueish color as I can't quite tell if it's sax or mint cuz I'm clearly colorblind. Also stuck on bags and I don't like the bag from this series.
>>10204642not brainwashing! I felt like this before I knew about lolita.
>>10206059I can't stop laughing at the shopped meat.
I just got the le jardín des anges jsk in lavender and I’m thinking of pairing it with white lace tights and a flowy lacey blouse but I’m worried wearing it with white shoes will be too much, but wearing pastel shoes might ruin the classic aesthetic, any suggestions?
>>10209892I think I’m going with this bonnet but I’ve seen it look cute with rectangle head pieces and flower crowns too
>>10201259Where's that blouse from? I can't recognize the frame
>>10211369Juliette et Justine Spectre de Cristal Rose Blouse
Does anyone have a recommendation for a blouse/neckline style that is more suitable for sweeter military styled main pieces, but at the same time, works for someone with a shorter neck / larger cup size?Generally it's recommended to wear high collars. But those look awful on me. I prefer lower necklines or peter pan collars as they're in general, more flattering.
>>10211920Tried a square neck?
>>10211920I think AATP blouses would match your style, maybe one like this?
Would this op look good with pink striped socks (meta)?
What do you think bout this style of socks in sweet lolita?
>>10214852too casual imo
>>10214859so... that's a maybe with a super casual coord like skirt and cutsew top?
>>10214890it would be fine in a casual coord
>>10214852I like these, good for summer coords, plus they’re cheap, but it kinda bugs me when I see them paired with a really nice dress like at the AP fashion show
>>10214852Depends on the dress and the styling. It could be cute or awful, but that’s less to do with the socks and the entire category of sweet lolita and more the dissonance between these socks and more formal dresses.
>>10213134It might get a bit busy, are you thinking narrow or wide stripes? I prefer the look of plain socks with a berry motif at the top.>>10209892This might be where a gold or silver shoe works well, especially if you have a matching bag.>>10206905Sax vs mint can be a bitch and a half to match. I don't think adding all the pastel colours from the print to the coord sounds like a great idea unless you have (for example) socks or a hair accessory that has all of the colours in it - trying to do blocks of sax, pink, yellow and lavender in a single outfit is going to be very hard to balance.
Could I get a few blouse/ cutsew ideas for the red strawberry Annette skirt? Thank you
Looking for ideas for coords for this that are a bit more goth style perhaps, but I'm down for any coord ideas for this JSK.
Looking for coord ideas
I'm trying to put together my first OTT coordinate and... How much is enough?I've maxed out my poof, chosen an interesting print, flattered the cut, put on enough things on my head to feel ridiculous, tried to tie some interest to my neck and- no, no matter what I add it just seems like it makes another part of my outfit bare by comparison. Where is the balance when you're over the top? Also be honest with me gulls, is the mismatched kneesock trend a dead meme?
I'm totally stuck here. Not sure what to do legwear wise, or which kind/color of shoes to wear. Would it be appropriate to use polka-dot tights, to match the cardigan?I am also trying to decide between mint tea parties or some kind of brown oxford (or maybe something that's very classically styled with a small heel.)Thanks in advance for any help!
>>10226163honestly the bright mint cardigan seems really out of place next to the more muted colors of the dress, at least on my monitor. maybe it looks better in person but to me it clashes horribly. i'd go for an oxford or another more classic styled shoe in a brown that matches the bag and the biscuits on the print. mint tea parties would be too sugary sweet and probably too different of a shade next to the print.
>>10225875It's hard to get an idea of your coord without seeing pictures of it. A gothic OTT outfit will look very different to a classic or sweet or even ero coord. So I'm not sure what to tell you without seeing photos. But if you're going for sweet, mismatched kneesocks are a dead meme, but they /can/ work. Just depends what your coord is like.
>>10226399Thanks for your advice! I'm on that awkward edge where I'm too sweet to be classic but too into navy blue to ring the sweet bells.I did lay out my coord to take a photo but I think I answered my own questions. The floordinate looks good. Without the mismatched sock meme it looks more balanced, and it's not like I have time to get more accessories before the tea party either way. Babby's first ott will do for now. In time I will probably have a blast when I revisit this coord for improvements.
Coord ideas for my new dress. Pictured with shoe option I already own, they are real leather and very comfy. I'm sweet trash, I don't 100% know how to do this classy stuff. Was thinking about an off white, 3 strand pear choker for necklace? I own off white IW wristcuffs, I just don't have a picture of them. Mostly unsure what to put on my legs or if these shoes are ok?
>>10226955Add: - white legwear, if you can't find something with pink/beige accents, look into getting lace tights - white blouse and/or brown cardigan (doesn't need to match your shoes) - brown handbag (doesn't need to match your shoesAs someone who does all 3 substyles, you can pretty much use the same process as you do with sweet and use them to coord anything else, really. It's not like AP doesn't have their share of white/ivory dresses and brown chocolate things. The colour balance is the more important thing, and that's universal across different styles.re: going blouseless (since you didn't include one in this collage), I'd think really hard hard about it, maybe consider doing a trial run. A bonnet is usually stiff, formal and somewhat overdressed, even for lolita. So I'd go with dressing up the rest of the outfit, with a nice lacey blouse or a frilly, girly cardigan to match the bonnet to keep it consistent. You need legwear for those shoes. Something about closed toe, the shape of the shoes, suggests that they look more "complete" if worn with socks.A brown bag together with these brown shoes will echo off each other and make it look like they belong together on that outfit, if you're not happy with that you can also add a brown brooch, brown cardigan to further echo the colour. Just make sure the undertones aren't clashing, like don't put do a greyish brown with yellowish brown shoes.
>>10226163This is cute for otome.Do not match the tights to the cardigan, it really is loud. I'd advocate letting the loud cardigan be the one loud focus point and then everything else you add be less loud. If you're really stumped you could just go for white socks, but there's probably something with brown/blue stripes that you can find. Then go with brown shoes. Some people might be able to pull off mint tea parties, brown shoes are certainly the safer option.
>>10227064Good to knowOh I didn't mean to imply I'd be blouseless. I typoed. I meant "please give me coording ideas. The shoes are the only thing I was sure about and open to blouse recommendations. Found some meta antique white tights to go with so I priced together a little more of a rough idea. Blouse is long sleeve with big poofs before the long flat cuffs.
>>10227093You're on the right track with the tights, but I'd just point out be careful with the little accent colours -- the purple/lavender is just popping enough that it might clash because the dress is very obviously red/pink accents with green rather than purple with beige. The necklace will be lost with that neckline, either you layer it under the collar and no one can see it, or you layer it over and it sits funny while shifting around. If you're set on the necklace, go for a high/stand collar blouse, or go for a wide collar so that the pearl choker can be in full view. The bag and shoes echo better if they perfectly match colours. Otherwise, throw on a few more brown things (like ditch the blouse and go for a brown cardi) so that the coord skews more towards "earth tone coord with white" rather than "white coord with two different brown", if that makes sense.
>>10227145Added some tweaks, is it looking better? The socks don't have blue so much as it's a very crisp white on all the champagne background, i hope the detail shot of them helps and that they don't look tinted blue/lavish in person. I kinda hate very whitish socks even white hollow lace ones.
>>10227180Well now everything skews ivory/beige and the blouse looks too white. I'd switch to an ivory blouse if the socks will be ivory as well.I'm not convinced on the socks, but they do often look different when worn due to the material. Once you get them in hand you'll be able to judge if it looks okay.Other than that, it looks pretty much better.
I'm looking for examples of highwaist or corset skirts coorded with medium high or low neckline blouses. Most coords I have seen over time seem to include high neckline blouses, which are rather unflattering on me. Color or style doesn't matter, just should include pieces with mentioned cuts for reference.
I'm planning my first coord and I'm kind of struggling. Is black hair going to be good with this red sweets coord? I really dislike wigs. Not for any particular reason, i just think they're annoying to put on and can get sweaty. As of the moment i think the bag and the madoka shoes look out of place. I'm open to any advice.
>>10226807Definitely try it on before the tea party, even if you have no time to make accessories. I'm glad I was able to help!
>>10228772As long as it's styled well, natural hair is fine in lolita.
>>10228772i would definitely switch up the shoes, tea patties would so cute. The bag and wrist cuffs im iffy on; the wrist cuffs ribbon seems dark red? and not sure on the bag, u could try it
>>10228772I think the shoes will really pop, but that purse looks sad compared to everything else. Do you have any other red or white bags already?
>>10228819Natural hair is BEST for lolita, desu. I have yet to see someone successfully pull off a wig, especially if they're a beginner. If you wear wigs please for the love of god, style and cut them to flatter your face.
>>10229017I do agree with this! I just used the word "fine" to mean that she doesn't have to wear a wig.
>>10229014Not really. The closest color i have is pink, and neither of them really fit. One has an angel motif and the other a cat face. I'm not in a hurry though, i can get a good purse later on. I'll keep looking around for a good purse.>>10228942Looking at the wrist cuffs now yeah, they look kind of off. I kinda put them in last minute... I'll do some looking for some actually good strawberry wrist cuffs. I can do some thinking about the shoes, i have time.>>10229017Thank god. I was more worried about the black on red contrast but i think it'll be okay.
>>10228772These are avvalible on AP USA right now
>>10228772>>10229155Forgive me if I'm wrong but there is a tad of pink in the print like the spoons and some of the smaller ribbons around the circle. So in order left to rightFirst purse is available on storeenvy it's diamond honeySecond is on pacemaker, though I think a red or white heart bag could serve you better in the long run because you'd be able to use it with many more coords, they're always acceptable. Heart shape is generic and thus many brands make them and you can find them all over the play e if you take that route.Third is on my-lolita-dress(Taobao reseller so you might be able to get it cheaper with a shopping service from the original taobao store)
>>10229177My phone corrected lacemarket to pacemaker. Sorry.
>>10229155Black hair looks amazing with red clothing. Nothing to worry about.
>>10229155If you’re not sure about the wrist cuffs, maybe consider skipping them altogether? They’re not a must for a coord and I think the blouse would look cute enough on its own.
what kind of wig would go best with this dress? I almost always go without wigs but I think this dress shape makes my bob length natural hair look weird
>>10229817I'd go with something like pic related
>>10229474Really? For the longest time i thought they were essential.>>10229177Sounds good, I'll get myself a heart bag then.
>>10228772>madoka magica cosplay shoeswhat the fuck anon

Can not figure out what kind of blouse looks decent with this????? dont want to wear it with bare arms showing..... doesnt look balanced
>>10231910I think it will look fine, but if you insist, probably go with something off white and with a high neck, with minimal detail around the bodice area. I like using Axes Femme cutsews under it because it doesn't create too much bulk but has nice detailing nonetheless, and a bit whiter than pic related.
>>10231910maybe like one of those atelier pierrot princess sleeve blouses that everyone and their dog has?
>>10230718the most obvious choice: normal red tea parties
>>10231910You could also look for nice long gloves.
>>10231910You could try adding a short white blouse underneath that has lacing peaking out. You might be getting thrown off by the pink having no white on the sleeves. I think as long as you have some wrist accessories and you don't leave your neck/chest bare, it will look balanced.Pic related.
How would you coordinate this? I feel that an ivory or white blouse would not work well with the blue but I can't think of any alternatives. Shoes would be another headache as well. Probably black?
>>10238865For Classic, the typical basic bitch fallback coord is ivory blouse with brown shoes. So ivory blouse and legwear (I'd be careful about mixing white and ivory, make sure you can balance them if you do), with brown shoes, brown bag. For classic you can worry less about matching your browns/other colour. For hair accessory you could go back to a VM corsage, or get your own (high quality) flower headpiece that goes with the skirt, or use a brown or ivory ribbon. For jewellery, it's hard to go wrong with pearls (but make sure they aren't tiny or else they'll simply be lost amidst the frills).Actually if you want to get creative I think a blush blouse would also go nicely. Alternatively, a coord with a navy bolero would also look nice. You could even do white blouse with navy shoes/bag/accessories (though it's higher contrast than ivory, so harder to pull off). A grey blouse that brings out the lace accented with either navy or lavender could also work. There's a lot of ways you could coord a versatile skirt like this, but if you're really lost and need to build a wardrobe from scratch anyway, you'll at least be able to re-wear the ivory and brown things with other dresses as it's pretty much staple classic lolita so that's the better option.
>>10238865I really like navy and sax together so that would be the way I'd go, there are a few printed tights out there that mix lighter and darker blues which would help with the overall balance. Navy blouse/mixed navy and sax blue hair flowers/sax bag/mixed navy and sax tights/navy shoes.
>>10229987Thinking that wristcuffs are essential is the funniest thing to me. You can definitely skip them if your blouse looks alright without them.
Kind of stuck on what headwear to coord with this. My gut reaction is a smaller bonnet, and I'm not sure why that is when I've never worn them and am not usually into them. The rest of the coord is pretty par the course, white blouse and stockings, navy shoes. Any thoughts?
>>10240675Whatever matches the print or your outfit, really. - black headbow (if your own hair isn't black, otherwise it does tend to blend in, t. black-haired girl) - gold - a nice hat - crown - madonna crown (if you're going OTT. At least this is the right print for a madonna crown for once)If you're really at a loss, make up the rest of the outfit first and the headwear will generally suggest itself.
Completely stuck on this one. I've never worn an OP before, how the hell do I coordinate this? I want to wear it to an AP tea party so I'd love something big and OTT-y.
I'm choosing which socks I should wear with open boots that come up to a few inches below my knees. What length socks would look best? Would patterned socks look bad if they're partially covered by the straps? The boots are similar to pic related.
