Any styles welcome. Everything jfash and plus size relatedDiscussion of tips and tricks for plus size girls, clothing finds, plus size friendly brands, favorite chubby coords, etc>inb4 shit postingThe general consensus in these threads usually goes:1. People rather see fats dressed cutely/well than dressed like slobs2. People who feel better about themselves are more likely to succeed at losing weight and being healthy vs those who feel self conscious >thread may be helpful for those who are fit with naturally large proportions such as large bust, large shoulder width, muscular legs, etcI'll be posting my resources and favorite finds! Hope its helpful to some people
https://store.punyus.jp/ Punyus a good store with varying sizes. Also larger size shoes than most JP shops would carry.Naomi Watanabe is an icon we dont deserve
Does anyone know what happened to plumprimo? I loved getting their clothes but they just seemed to vanish with no news of whats going on
Ofc the notablehttps://www.etsy.com/shop/TejaJamillahttps://www.sockdreams.com/https://www.welovecolors.com/for tightsI know Im missing some but I cant recall the other brands at the moment.
Maxicimam has a new print series out now in normal size and lovely size.
>>10179901Violet Fane and Komachi are both great. Komachi are made to fit and stretch well around larger legs, so for fat or muscular girls. I've seen a girl wear Violet Fane tights over an 8month preggo belly and they were apparently still comfy.
Inori Hashimoto a cute chubster from the jpop group "Big Angel"https://twitter.com/inocorn_chanhttps://www.instagram.com/inocorn_chan/
>>10179918Komachi! I was trying to recall them but couldnt remember their name. Good to know about Violet Fane. Appreciate it anon
>>10179920All the members, old and new, of Pottya and now Big Angel are so cute but Inorin really takes the cake for being fashionable and chubby. She always wears cute outfits and I’ve loved her for that forever. Inocorn best girl.
>>10179887It got folded into regular dreamv sizing. You now need to check individual items for sizing as some only go to L while others go to 3L
>>10179885>>10179904For shops like these, would I just use a SS like when ordering through taobao? I'm a fatty-chan so these would be my first times ordering things.
>>10179879>plus size thread>op image has to do with ice creamKek
>>10182646There's a thread on Japanese shopping services if you check the catalog
>>10182646I always use zenmarket personally!Used to use fromjapan but they went into the shitter
I wanted to share a good find I had recently. I always love pleated skirts but it's hard wearing them. I'm pear shaped so even if I find one that fits the waist (which isnt too difficult for me), they are never long enough and barely cover my ass. I found this shop and decided to take a chance with them for the custom sizing https://www.etsy.com/shop/AriShaeCosplayTheir stock photos are meh but looking through the reviews people seemed happy and customer photos made them look nicer. They arrived recently and are worth it! I'm not a seamstress at all so I cant give an indepth review of the sewing. They appear well constructed to me. They even have surged stitching inside which i know uses a different machine. The fabric is not see-through and seems sturdy enough. Fit to the measurements I gave. I did give her a slightly bigger waist inch than my own and I'm glad I did. Because the fabric doesn't have much stretch. If it fit super snug I'm sure itd dig into your stomach.Anyways here a quick rundown-order and inch or two more than your actual waist size-the 20 inch length box pleat skirt was my favorite over the knife pleat skirt. -if you are looking to order in colors that match a pastel wardrobe I rec the petal pink and lake blue colors (the lake blue swatch looks wack but its color irl is perfect)
>>10182646Maxicimam can be purchased from cdjapan, no SS required.
Anyone have a list of plus size lolitas I should follow on insta?
>>10184212I have only a few good ones. Its harder to find girls who have cute coords plus dress well for their body shapehttps://www.instagram.com/rosecremebrulee/ https://www.instagram.com/snazzytazzes/ https://www.instagram.com/bowsbeforeboyss/
>>10184212It's not a list but, I like my.bunny.valentine.
I need help trying to figure out how to get a petti to sit right/fit under my skirts. I'm either trying to pull it up and it looks retarded, or pull it down to look better and it still looks retarded. is there anything chubby lolitas do in particular for this issue? I'm currently losing weight and I've lost 20 pounds so far, putting me on the border of overweight/normal for my BMI, but... I'm still a chub with petti woes.
>>10184239I'm trying to imagine what the exact issue is here. Are you apple or pear shaped? I get my petti to sit on my natural waist but I'm a pear so it's easy.Is your petti a good size and shape for you? Aurora and ariel does custom sized waists and I got a great petti that doesn't choke my stomach
>>10179901Ew I bet you dress like shit.
>>10182646Punyus has an international shop linked on their website.
>>10184254I'm a pear. I guess my petti just isn't right for me. I'm tall and wear old school mainly, and my petti isn't short enough usually (it prett much ends a cm before the skirt] and.. I don't know. the shape is just wrong and annoying and no matter what I do it doesn't look right. I think I'll try to get a new petti soon, the ones I have are 2nd hand.
>>10184212some of these are hit or miss sometimes but this is my compiled list-snazzytazzes-deerylou_thefawn -minty_stars (also tall)-ohgodwhatisfashion-tea_angpang-fatimahteatime -bowsbeforeboyss-killer_show-karamellydolly-chantillic -tofuhopper-slugs.princess-meltyberryqueen-asamimoon -milkyteadolly (also tall)-thedevilscreampuff-ruedonite (very plus size)-petticats (very plus size)-captainmeriderp-suji_plays_dress_up-coffeefarism -hyperkiss-dameningyo-happy_tomato -kirakuroto
>>10186225Add Princess_Honey_Bun to that list!!
>>10186334not going to add you, sorry. make your own list.
>>10186348Don’t pretend to be me, asshole>>10186334I will, thank you!
>>10186225>>10186334Maybe because I'm American and desensitized, but some of these I don't consider plus sized.
>>10186598I myself am gaijin plus size and I thought this was a pretty good list that included people who carry body weight in different places. I consider anything asian plus size to be “too” tall, “too” muscular, “too” chubby, broad shoulders, wide ribcages, etc. with some logical crossover and exemption of very thin lolitas.I really apologize if I put you or someone you don’t consider plus size on this list, but if it makes you feel any better, I am very picky about the plus size lolitas I follow and put on rec lists.
>>10186598I havent gone through the list yet but I will personally admit what I find to be plus size in lolita is not the same =/= as what I would consider normal plus size outside of lolita (at least in North America)To me personally anyone who qualifies for "plus size" lolita is basically anyone that has trouble fitting into mainstream Japanese brands. But because I know anons like to argue about it, I try personally not to post anyone that would be considered too skinny to be plus size.Sorry just read >>10186615 and I really agree.
Does anyone have any suggestions or instagrams for any other types of jfashion besides lolita? I always think silhouettes from fairy kei, menhera, or decora type styles translate the worst onto plus sized figures and tend to look messy. I would love to see any type of good jfashion that’s not necessarily lolita!>>10186691Go fuck your dad for some more validation, you coat hanger aborted cow. Stop baiting and derailing or at least sage ffs. Maybe lose all your limbs and stay inside.
Let's get back on topic. I know that plus size threads will always attract angry ana scum but at least they sometimes have good info.Let's talk about dresses that actually give good waist to bust proportions. I think a lot of us would benefit from those types of dresses but they seem to be nearly impossible to find in sweet?? Even when the dress looks like it has a waist and full shirring, inevitably it just becomes empire waist on people with larger boobs... I find that I actually look much less plus size when wearing more normie dresses because they account for that fit and proportion. Are there any AP or Baby dresses that go beyond just "hey it fits and has extra room" for you?
full shirring JSKs with shirred straps are great for busty lolitas who don't want to feel like they're wearing a tent.
>>10186959Dropped example pic.
>>10186961I don't think I've ever seen shirred straps? But straps with buttons do wonders for me. Just resewing the button 1-2 inches down takes me from boob loaf city to decent. Also halter neck jsks are the best. I wish there were more of them!
>>10186961I hope you mean full back shirring. Full shirring looks awful on plussize people. It makes you look like a rolled roast beef.
>>10186971>>10186978Shirring Princess JSK has those very nice straps, but iawtc halter-neck dresses are great for larger busts.
Enough bickering. Post more chubby-chans
>>10187019God I love her huge wigs, she always looks so put together.
Which substyle is best and most flattering for plus sized lolita? Most of the plus sized girls in my comm wear sweet, but I feel like the gothic ones in pics look much better. I haven't seen many plus-size classic lolitas so I don't know about them
Reminder to sage and report off topic and bait!
>>10187049chunky girls in gothic give me vague early Jessicka Addams vibes.
>>10187068I see it and dig it. Would be cool to see a coord literally based on her
>>10187077Jack off Jill is very lolita imo, I can imagine going to one of their concerts in a coord with a bunch of friends.
>>10187175read the filename?
>>10187068Does anyonr have any recs for gothic lolitas? I can only think of devilscreampuff off the top of my head.
>>10186978I do semi agree with this but I think full shirring can be fine if they cover up the bust portion with a cardigan or something
>>10187049As a plus size girl, anything but sweet unless toned down by not going overboard with tacky food themed accessories out the ass. And wearing a very flattering cut with a-line petti. Cupcake shape petti just makes bigger girls look so much more rounder.I love seeing chubby lolitas in classic, gothic or traditional styles. I can’t say much for obese girls though. To me they always look bad esp in sweet. Makes them look like ageplay.
>>10187019anyone know any info about the wigs and hair pieces she uses? I’d love to get some similar.
>>10187028Congrats on the face, dang
>>10187573I think they're Prisila? Not sure though
Where does everyone find fitting tights?
>>10188280I mean, fitting AND suitable for lolita?
>>10188280God this is my biggest fucking challenge being plus sized lmaoYou can get some alright tights at welovecolorsJust plain solid colors or imo the whitexcolor strip tights are cute https://www.welovecolors.com/shop/plussizedwhitestripedtights.htmI havent ordered from them yet but there is sockdreams that stocks tights and thigh highs. I wouldnt say everything is lolita ofc but if you keep your eyes open you can find a few items that would be suitable. Ive been eyeing https://www.sockdreams.com/sheer-daisy-tights.html for awhile. I didnt order from https://www.etsy.com/shop/TejaJamilla for a long time because I'd say the style is more suitable to classic/gothic. But I did realize she makes a clock and key print. Which on the white goes well with Alice in Wonderland inspired coords. And just my thoughts if they are helpful. TejaJamilla tights are the best in quality and in print. She does the printing while the tight is stretch, so when you wear them the image isn't horribly distorted. Which is a problem I have with many MANY places that advertise plus size friendly OTKs or tights. Even if they "fit". The image will look fucking horrible stretched out on my chunky legIve also been thinking of making up a few designs and printing them for myself off of artsmoo. If you are familiar with their tights they fit and dont have the bad warped images like I described. So maybe something anons can consider for themselves if they have any artistic abilities
>>10188583What about komachi? They're literally made for plus size
>>10188583One thing about TejaJamilla, I bought a pair of tights from them and although I'm not fat, I'm tall, and the listing said they would go up to my height.I don't know whether she put the wrong size in or something but the crotch stopped literally halfway down my thigh. Not sure whether they stretch better horizontally or I just got a bad one, but I spent £20 on a pair of tights that didn't fit.
>>10189124tights usually fit me horribly too because I'm tall. it sucks.
>>10189124I‘m tall and chubby and her tights fit me perfectly and are super comfy and pretty. I even think they would still fit me if I was 20cm taller, so maybe you got a wrong size? I tried looking up what size I got but it’s not in the order confirmation. She was really nice and kept me up to date on my order so maybe you can just ask her what size you need (give her your measurements) and let her know which size you ordered before so you can work something out?
>>10189134As far as I can remember I did correspond with her, and she did recommend a certain size when I gave her my measurements, which I bought. It straight up didn't fit, which sucked. What works for one won't always work for another, I guess. I don't even have particularly thick thighs or anything. Just thought I'd give you guys a warning.
>>10189136Oh that sucks, I hope you find something that works for you!
>>10188607I haven't tried them yet! I want to but i dont have high hope. I think the images will probably warp but if any other girls have experience I'd love to hear about it
>>10189195God grumpychan is such a lolita crush for me.
>>10189193This girl is plus sized? Is she tall?
>>10189199I thought this brand didn't fit fat girls?
>>10189241She looks plus sized, did you link the wrong post?
>>10189315Iron Gate stretches to very large sizes. I've seen very big girls fit it.
posting some from my inspo album
>>10189477Not the jsk. I learned that the hard way and had to sell it.
>>10191517So how accurate are the measurements on lolibrary? Do you know?
>>10189198is this poodle-chan? this is so damn cute >>10189516didn’t this cause a lot of drama when it was posted to cof with gulls saying she was “bursting seams” on this dress? She looks fine to me, just sorta busty.
>>10191545All it says there is 82cm bust. That seems accurate. Don't even try if you're bigger than that. But the waist was way smaller than I expected. I expected 68 or 70 but its got to be like 62 or something. It's curvy but very small
Is there literally any way I can look cute being chubby, tall, and with a pointy chin and nose? Or should I stick to mature fashions?
>>10191755I think gothic has lots of potential to be adorable! But if sweet is what makes your heart soar, make up and losing weight helps a lot!
>>10191857Thank you kind anon, this made me feel a lot better!!
>>10192086I’m pretty sure it’s janitors cleaning up though
>>10187573I'm pretty sure she's mentioned using various Dreamholic wigs and clip-ins.
Can I get bra suggestions for busty lolitas please? I feel like a fitted, proper bra might be throwing off my fit because I'm top heavy.
>>10187049In general, darker colors are just more flattering on big girls. If you want to do sweet, colorways with darker colors like black or navy are the best option rather than bright pastels.
>>10191586Thanks but the girl in>>10189199 looks way bigger than 82 cm bust
>>10192643nayrt but I think they meant the jsk, not the op. Moitie dresses without any shirring are very small, but they will often release a shirred op that is very forgiving as far as stretch goes. Iron Gate is an example - others are stained glass, silent moon, and cathedral. Then there are dresses like divine cross, ritual, and holy queen. I can’t speak to iron gate in specific, but the shirred moitie I’ve owned can stretch to 100cm, maybe more.
What are your favorite indie brands that offer plus/custom sizing? pic for contribute
>>10192710I dont have much experience with indie dresses but I love my lotv dress. I'm going to order the bee one once its available.
>>10192710Soufflé Song/Neverland(no pics are mine)
>>10192723Dear Celine is good for plus size classic-leaning pieces.
>>10192725Ooo seconding dear celine. Ive never tried a main piece from them but i buy so many blouses.I can fit certain brand dresses and cuts fine. But OPs and blouses are always a no-go for me just because of shoulders. DC blouses are my absolute favorites from the various taobao brands I've tried.
>>10192710Lady Sloth. Pic related.
>>10192581If the neckline of what you're wearing allows for it, I like wearing a high-impact sports bra. Not the soft, flexible ones designed for lounging around or doing yoga, but the ones intended for running that have stronger elasticized fabric good for squishing down the bust area. Some mid-impact sports bras also have cups sewn in, which can prevent boobloaf.
>>10192949Oh yeah, I love LadySloth... Who Very Berry Picnic here? What cut?
