Shame the spoiler tags didn't work properly... hopefully you guys like how I mixed things around a bit this time though.
>“Hah, hah…!”>I run from the rooftop to the schoolground in less than seven seconds.>It’s more than a hundred meters. My speed is so fast that normal people would see only a blur.>But that’s…>“Man, those are really good legs. It’ll be a waste to kill you here.”—Lancer from the prologue. Cu was confirmed to have a great taste by then.I love the scene mentioned in the OP (Based Shirou but the line "If I'm to have a female master, I want someone like you" is a bit weird since...he already had a female master, and he was also very satisfied with her. Makes you wonder if it's a translation problem, or just Nasu didn't have Bazett's character in his mind fully yet. Probably the latter since he didn't even have a concrete view on the 4th war, let alone a pseudo-sequel.Also for future knowledge, OP, spoilers don't work on /c/.

>>4096671I love the fanart we've been getting from that dress
>>4096840Yes, gotta carry on the habits of our lovely dork>>4096841Rin looks gorgeous in that dress. Thanks fgo for your occasional gifts, I guess.
>>4097511Oddly unnerving image. Probably the large needle. Thank God for Rin's soothing presence.
>>4097688Well, I had my share of bad experiences with doctors and their pointy things, so I can get that (fuck dentists, man). But having a nurse as beautiful as Rin would have made it easier, probably.
>>4097893It can be a blessing or a curse. The dentist I went to when I was young had a cute assistant. She figured out I was into her when my hormones started acting up and started teasing me. Reminds me of a certain someone, really...

I keep telling myself doing these kinda of image dumps isn't the brightest idea... but a man cannot resist sometimes.
>>4100273In case anyone wanted it full
Rin cute!
>>4101455Yes, but you are stating the obvious.
For my fellow UBW friendshttps://youtu.be/gVTVIfxYFE8
>>4100273>>4101193That Chinese website is a bit confusing and strange to be honest. On mobile the first two images have a signature while they don't on desktop. You can download a sample from mobile while you can't from desktop. The filenames are atrocious too. Is the other art good? Because while those pics are absolutely amazing it making an account doesn't feel worth it.
>>4102379Kino
>>4102396Well, it isn't like I have an account myself. I just got the image through the browser inspector lol. The weird thing though is that the image I got (which is the same image on booru sites) was with smaller size despite having the same resolution, and with no distortion or anything like that. So it's kinda weird. Also the tag search is done locally per artist, not globally on the site. At least that is without account, with an account it might be different. And that artist hadn't done Rin before, it was their first time apparently. It isn't really worth it to make an account specifically for it. I searched it for artworks and while some of the results were nice, there was nothing spectacular. picrel may be the highest quality one I found there, and even then it is not that good.
>>4102540I mean as you can see from the pic in the post you're replying to I don't have some exceedingly high standards (that artist has made a lot of good art, but that specific has some issues, even if I still thought it was worth sharing) so that pic is perfectly fine by me lol. A lot of (if not most) Chinese (and also Korean) artists would rather share their artwork on Japanese sites rather than their own so it isn't shocking to find that the Chinese websites themselves don't have that much good art, or art at all. Either way, I don't have any real set concrete standards for how technically proficient vs how much of that truthfully unquantifiable amount of that attribute we call "soul" a piece of art needs to have before I save it, it's mostly "I know it when I see it" most of the time.
>>4102613>so that pic is perfectly fine by me lolOh, yes I know. I just meant not good enough to go through much trouble. That image on its own is fine and would be very good if not for the chest and the polygon face.>that artist has made a lot of good art, but that specific has some issuesYeah, that artist is great. It's probably turned out like that because of time trouble as they are doing that 100-day thing and they had to finish it in a day.I think I prefer their older works though.
>>4103012>That image on its own is fine and would be very good if not for the chest and the polygon face.I didn't even notice that... I still kind of like though.

>>4104267That's a very...unique artstyle (in a good way), and the image is kinda old too. How did you find it, anon? Or do you have it saved since back then?
>>4104445Here's the source, in case you want it: https://www.twitter.com/yuzuha1718/status/867202571961647104 I sometimes like to save the links to tweets with a very small amount of likes and so on so I can help out the artists if anyone ever ask for the source, though I often forget. As for how I found it... I'm not entirely sure. It was a few months back and I thought it popped up through my searching through the #遠坂凛 hashtag but I just checked the tweet... and apparently not. I suspect it might have been when I was a reverse image searching a few images through Google (since SauceNao wasn't working and I was a bit desperate). I remember finding a few nice ones through Google Images so that one must've been among them as well.
It should be illegal to be this adorable
>>4105633Perhaps I ought to re-read Hollow Ataraxia...
>>4105759It's my first time. I've been slowly reading it for a couple months but ever since Rin appeared I started having mysterious heart palpitations so I've been stalling a lot.
>>4105759>Half the game with no RinGood luck with that. It was tough for the first time and I am sure it will be tougher on the second.Probably I also should reread it though, as I don't remember most of it.>>4105879>ever since Rin appeared I started having mysterious heart palpitationsI know this feeling lol. Have fun with the rest!
>>4105888>Half the game with no RinIt was really tough. Before she returns there's a couple cute scenes with the pendant, cleaning her house and sending the letter that tided me over somehow. Still it doesn't feel like there was much of a point in having her gone for so long. There could have been scenes from her perspective in London during that time imo.Maybe I'm biased but once she does return the game gets much more energy and most of her scenes are noticeably higher in quality. It's not Fate for me without Rin.>Have fun with the rest! Thanks!Just out of curiosity since it seems like it's been fairly long since you two last played it, have you used the voice patch? It's a fairly recent patch unless I'm mistaken.
>>4105907>Before she returns there's a couple cute scenes with the pendant, cleaning her house and sending the letter that tided me over somehowYeah, I remember all of these, they were very fun. The Tohsaka Shrine was probably made for that reason too. Shirou stating that life isn't as fun without her around (wording is probably different) was a highlight as well.>Still it doesn't feel like there was much of a point in having her gone for so long. It's probably because of the Archer bridge scenes. Archer can't fight Shirou on Tohsaka's watch, she would stop them. Also the Edelfelt reveal was done through her London experience. You could probably do it with other methods but it is more fun that way.>once she does return the game gets much more energy and most of her scenes are noticeably higher in quality.I thought the same too, but I am very biased, so not much of a judge. I always found Rin's personality to be the funniest out of the main characters.I played it when the voice patch came out, which was like, 4 years ago? Maybe more? I don't remember when exactly but while it wasn't very long ago, it wasn't very recent either. Add to that the fact it doesn't get much discussions because there is no anime and because it's mostly SoL and comedy.I think I remember most Rin's scenes though, but not to the greatest detail.
>>4105968>It's probably because of the Archer bridge scenesI figured that too, but it's not good enough of an excuse for me. Even after you defeat Archer there's still a lot more to go before she actually comes back. How I would've done it is have Rin talk him down herself instead of having the obligatory battle scene and move the battle elsewhere if necessary.>it doesn't get much discussions because there is no anime and because it's mostly SoL and comedyControversial opinion I guess but I don't care much about the shonen stuff and these along with the (Rin's) romance are my favorite parts of SN. Hollow is great because of this outside of the fact that it's made to appeal to fans of every route, so some scenes I can't bring myself to read. It sometimes has this issue where I find myself thinking "which continuity is this scene supposed to take place in". Also Rin seems to thankfully avoid this issue for the most part but there have been a couple instances where I've gone "?" on some scenes. Either they aren't written by Kinoko or he was on something while writing them. These seem to happen only when it's not a one-on-one scene. The biggest offender so far was the whole play sequence at the halfway point. Felt like a fever dream.
>>4105991>Controversial opinion I guess but I don't care much about the shonen stuff and these along with the (Rin's) romance are my favorite parts of SNIt's hard for me to tell which is my favorite thing about Nasu's writing, it varies from a story to story and from route to route. But if we are talking about UBW specifically then yes the romance and Rin scenes are the highlight to me. The couple of fights at the end are great too though.>The biggest offender so far was the whole play sequence at the halfway pointDamn. I hated this so much that I completely forgot about it until now. Probably the lowest of HA along with the Himuro detective thing.
The voice patch for HA came out in 2017.>>4105879Have fun anon!>>4105888I was going to say that as much as I love Rin there are other things I enjoy about Fate but then I remembered it's FHA we're talking about and it's mostly SoL... Yeah, I can say the majority of the funniest moments in FSN had Rin in them and none of the other characters really come as close to being as compelling as her in that department. Though I do remember some pretty funny moments from the others in HA, even if not as vividly as some of better comedic moments in FSN, like the fake Bad End from the Fate route when Shirou refuses to cook. However some friends have been for some reason begging to write fanfics (Rin/Shirou ones specifically) and I guess I want to be up to date on the lore if I do...?>>4105991>Controversial opinion I guess but I don't care much about the shonen stuff and these along with the (Rin's) romance are my favorite parts of SN.I wouldn't say this is especially controversial desu. There truly is no real consensus among Fatefags about which aspects of the story are best, which route is best, etc. There are some prevailing attitudes but nothing solid. It can often be sad to see how non-Rinfags talk about Rin's romance and her role in UBW, and even infuriating when they say shit like "Oh I feel so bad for Rin, she got sidelined in her own route, thankfully she's got HF" because frankly I don't think you have the right to feel "sorry" for a character you clearly didn't respect enough to properly pay to any of their character development and relationships with the other two main characters, but you should never forget just how much people love Rin and her romance. I often do sadly. I have learnt to remind myself however.
>>4106233I love how passionate you are Rinbro
>>4106192I guess Tsukihime remake kinda soured me on his fight scenes. That game goes from boss fight to boss fight and everything else feels sidelined. It's like almost all the most important scenes happen during boss fights. Also the superhuman feats Shiki performs just to include him in the battle scenes go past even Shirou levels and yes I saw that they kinda explain it at the end. Back to the point, the most honed quality of his writing which to me is characters is lackluster because of this. I might be projecting this on Fate though. I can't deny that the Emiya theme makes my imagination run.>>4106233>The voice patch for HA came out in 2017.I guess I was wrong, but that's still fairly recent considering how long ago HA came out. On a side note I'm amazed how well these games have aged in every department. It's almost like it came out today. Aside from Rin's flip phone.>Have fun anon! Thanks!>It can often be sad to see how non-Rinfags talk about Rin's romanceI can't say I've seen this anywhere other than that certain other board. That argument is just another non-sequitur since she's pretty much a main or at least very important character in all three routes, unlike everyone else. They've probably either never actually read the story or looking to get a rise out of you. Or they've only seen the anime. I haven't seen the anime since it came out and I remember nothing from it. So I just assume it doesn't do the romance justice. Only someone who's completely indifferent towards Fate could come up with the kind of shit they post there. It's better to filter it as interaction with them will never lead to anything. The impression I get from these stories is that Rin is written with love on a different wavelength than the others. To me she feels much more real. The author absolutely couldn't have come up with this stuff without it being personal.Fuck, I can't find the image I wanted to post. I need to sort this mess.
>>4106192>Damn. I hated this so much that I completely forgot about it until nowForgot to reply to this.Sorry to resurface old traumas but this scene is just unbelievable. It teases this scene at the prologue. That part is great and has a cute Rin moment. But the full event half a game later is atrocious. The problem isn't even only the play, but the whole sequence leading up to it and even what happens after. It starts with a fairly cute scene about Rin not knowing how to operate a fax machine but that's where the cuteness ends. The play speaks for itself. Even Karen's introduction at the end is handled badly, considering how the game has been teasing that moment as something important from the very start
>>4106233>I can say the majority of the funniest moments in FSN had Rin in them and none of the other characters really come as close to being as compelling as her in that department...and triple posting but I wanted to reply to this.I wouldn't be as into these games if not for Rin but other than her the monster in the room for me is Kotomine. Love most of his scenes outside the UBW one. He's a total dick and I kinda hate him but I can't help but laugh with this guy. Also as far as HA goes Shinji has probably had the best comedic moments in the game. Also Sakura's diary and Zouken's comments in it.
>>4106233>write fanfics (Rin/Shirou ones specifically) and I guess I want to be up to date on the lore if I do...?Yeah, you should reread it if that is the case. A SoL heavy story like HA will give you some good ideas certainly.Do you have any thing in mind?>>4106457>>4106459>>4106467Cute miad Rin! Sadly there will never be enough.
>>4106457Maybe you frequent completely different places than I do but wherever I go to not even participate in but merely spectate discussions on Fate, the same old reoccurring hot takes keep popping up. It can be sometimes frustrating since the Rinfags who decide to engage with individuals making such ludicrous claims are not particularly bright, erudite or well-informed enough to properly tear apart the nonsense that is being spewed. Whenever I do engage with such people, they tend to fold rather quickly...>I haven't seen the anime since it came out and I remember nothing from it. So I just assume it doesn't do the romance justice.Funny, in my experience Rinfags tend to have to more positive views of the anime than non-Rinfags since they either love the way the romance was adapted and thusly forgive whatever issues they may have with it or they are more willing to give it a fair shot rather than immediately dismiss it because secondaries have bad takes about Shirou or whatever. Personally, I love it.>Fuck, I can't find the image I wanted to post. I need to sort this mess.I definitely know that feeling... I've come to find my routine of checking how often an image has been shared if at all through desuarchive to make sure we don't just cycle through the same shit all the time rather frustrating by now, especially given how many of the images in my folder I've shared by now.>>4106550Well, some friends asked me if I could pen an anthology of SoL stories about Rin and Shirou's last year in high school together with a mixture of mostly comedic stories with some more weighty but wholesome romantic stuff thrown in there. Apparently there isn't a whole lot of that in English language fanfics and translating Japanese ones can be a chore. I guess I wanna read HA to get a better hang of their classmates at the school and their personalities, as well as the layout of Fuyuki, before I commit to anything.>>4106428Thank you...
>>4106550I prefer her canon maid outfit, but for some reason it never gets any art. I guess people don't play HA.>>4106697I think the only place where I have had any touch with the english community is /a/. I guess that was enough of that for me. I just hope it isn't all as bad. I mainly just frequent 5ch and futaba. Well, just yesterday I saw a take there about Rin supposedly being bad with money and not making a good wife because of it. Not gonna lie it kinda pissed me off. I didn't really get it as she's obviously great with money and constantly planning for it. But when it comes to romance I've not seen these kind of takes. Someone in that same thread even pointing out the デレデレデレ future Rin scene in HA in favor of her making a great wife. But you should be able to come to that conclusion from UBW alone if you've read it right.Just pointing out that there's a throwback to the original works in fgo's latest event in the form of Ishtar and Archer. I know >fgo but just throwing that out there.
>>4106832>I prefer her canon maid outfit, but for some reason it never gets any art. I guess people don't play HA.I mean, HA isn't the only maid Rin out there. There is this one by Takeuchi, a couple of different ones in prillya, and ufo made one in a HF commercial.I know that none of these are really "canon", but they are still official material.>Just pointing out that there's a throwback to the original works in fgo's latest event in the form of Ishtar and Archer. I know >fgo but just throwing that out there.Man, this scene made much more impact than I expected. The Japanese really love this kind of throwbacks I guess.
>>4106941I usually tend to skip events in FGO but seeing they were going through the archer class I made an exception. The thing is though, for some reason I was thinking the Shirou face would show up with her instead. In retrospect it doesn't even make any sense.
>>4106832Huh. That's interesting. The horrible "Rin got sidelined in her own route and isn't really important in it"/"UBW is actually the Archer" is a rather common opinion in the Western fanbase among non-Rinfags. It's nowhere near as bad as /a/ elsewhere however -- most people saying that aren't completely unreasonable, just kinda dumb and inattentive. If you take your time to explain it to them why they are wrong, they will usually concede. The people on tend to have a hatchet against Rin so they're a bit special. I guess I'm a bit surprised that it isn't that common among the Japanese, given that dumb joke in the final Tiger Dojo made by Taiga about Rin's being irrelevant in UBW and how DEEN butchered her and her romance in their UBW film adaptation (based on how they adapted none of the romantic scenes before Your distortion, including the confession, but almost all of the ones AFTER it, I suspect they realized that Rin actually IS important upon reaching that scene).>Just pointing out that there's a throwback to the original works in fgo's latest event in the form of Ishtar and Archer. I know >fgo but just throwing that out there.I don't keep track with FGO so I'm actually not sure what you're referring to...>>4106941I'm actually really fond of the HF commercial maid Rin. Not so much for the the dress, which is kinda eh, but because of the really cute pose she has. I'd post it but I already did that some time back: https://desuarchive.org/c/thread/4067674/#q4071111
>>4107201Honestly cannot believe how many mistakes I made while writing this out...
