holy shit, the feels
>>3872340How much did you cry when playing this game?
>>3872383As the autistic empty shell of a "human being" I am, I cried a lot. Unironically. What about you, Anon?
>>3872432I cried on every route, but Rin's bad ending and Emi's good ending were the most tear-jerking for me
>>3872591For me, the most powerful tear-inducing moment probably was Hanako's panick attack (thanks to Cold Iron and the amazing sequence of illustrations, too) + the scene where Hisao and Lilly go to see her in the evening (with Hanako lying on the bed). I felt so... helpless. It was a stark reminder that those scars and that social anxiety weren't there just for design purposes: just when Hanako seemed to have become a little more familiar with Hisao and her surroundings, bang! A fist full of memories right in the face. It was probably then that I truly started caring about her as a person and not as a cute, somewhat autistic anime girl. I started caring about her not because I thought she was "broken" or something like that, but simply because I wanted to know and understand her better. And I think that her route does a great job about it, refuting the stereotype of the fragile and broken girl waiting for a white knight. So yeah, the panick attack-related scenes showed Hanako's troubled side, but lead to a very different (and more satisfactory) outcome than expected.Enough of the fag talk, pic (more or less) unrelated
I just recently finished the alpha, Hanako's true route made me shed some happy tears (the closing sentence was pretty weird tho)
>>3872591There's really people wanting to see bad endings? I'm not that of a masochist
>>3875175Part of me wants to see Hanako's just because I love her expression here and kind of want to see what she says, but I'm way too partial to her character to actually go through with it.
>>3875441I've also seen this CG, and I really don't want to see its context. It's gonna be hurtful, and I don't want that.
>>3875465I've read it. It was painful, sure, but made me understand her a bit better.
>>3875901"I hate Lilly"Do you think those words are due to the frustration of the moment or are they sincere at least in part? For me, definitely both
>>3875901I can understand the point. I'm not sure I would pay that price though>>3875949how would it be sincere ? is it Lilly's mothering nature that was too much for her ?
>>3875998Obviously, she doesn't "hate" Lilly in a literal sense, nor she believes that their friendship is fake or something like that. But I think Hanako isn't autistic enough not to understand that her relationship with Lilly (and, later, with Hisao) is very very similar to a codependency one. Lilly is certainly sincere in her actions and in her desire to be friends with Hanako, but honestly, I think she does this to feel pleased with herself: she likes to treat Hanako like a child (like she does with anyone) because it's her "motherly" way to deal with other people, and she probably feels good acting this way. Lilly's kindness is what lead them to became friends; but, after some time, this kind of mother/retarded daughter relationship began to hurt Hanako, who started to consider herself even more useless and "broken", as she says.Lilly tells Hisao more than once that Hanako is not as fragile as one might think, but she does nothing DIRECTLY to prove it (or to stimulate Hanako's independence): Lilly advises Hisao to give Hanako more space because that's what she doesn't do first! So yeah, obviously Hanako thinks of Lilly as her best friend, but, without a doubt, theirs is a complex and not always healthy (for both sides) relationship. And Hanako knows that
Does anyone have the image that's done on a Newspaper headline generator? I remember it having a coffee mug or somesuch on the side with a Hanako main image and the text surrounding it read as part of a human interest piece where a reporter was interviewing Hanako about her writing career.
>>3878352Found it myself
>>3868067S... Snuffkin Hanako?
>>3883768Yes. Snufkin Hanako. There's another in this thread, too.>>3873728
>>3894153Now there's some bath water I'd guzzle down
>>3865915Damn she is hot for a anime girl I need the real thing bye man thanks.
