You can clean milkspots off and then encapsulate it if it bothers you take much. Me personally I have a few coins I have exclusively for fondling that I don't care if they get milk spotted and the rest of my silver is sealed away protected.
>>
>>50749759
Do things like reward yourself preiodically with a neat coin you like and keep a ratio of 1 oz gold to 100oz silver.

say you get to 50oz and buy a neat collectors coin or something. for example im going to order an admiral gardners shipwreck east india coin soon. not very valuable in itself but I think its kind of cool.

Don't buy. Buy low premium silver from your own cuntry retard.
>>
>>50750367
Too much even as a trinket?
>>
>>50750382
How can we answer that, I know people that will spend $75k on a trinket. They carry $20k cash daily if they find something if interest. As a trinket, it's up to you how much you want to pay. Today a 1oz silver roo is going for $36 in rural NSW. There's a yardstick for you to make your decision.
>>
>>50750382
Not bad as a trinket. Just compare the price to one ounce coin from perth mint.
>>
>>50750534
I'm thinking of getting odd coins for a reference collection for future authenticating of new coins.
>>
>>50750607
Then it sounds like you may be deeply invested in this, with a long term goal like that. It also sounds like you are more interested in the numismatic side of things, is that right? How long have you been doing this?

Using odd coins as a reference to new coins, do you mean new minted coins? Or other odd coins?
>>
>>50750713
The purpose of the reference collection is to avoid ending up with fakes.
I should probably put together a testing kit for pieces that I don't have.
>>
>>50750747
If I'm dumping fiat/prepping I should properly know how to authenticate PMs on my own.
>>
>>50750760
I would get a few coin reference books, there is Australia specific ones, A few test kits and depending on your budget a Sigma Metalytics Precious Metal Verifier.

If your looking to become a trader in the event of a collapse, you should have all the above at your disposal and a wide array of odd coins as a weight/feel/sound/visual reference.

With that in mind, exchanging fiat for any pm coin in regards to your end goal is a part of the plan. The peniwise silver eagle isn't really a trinket then. It's an investment in A- silver content and B- your knowledge base.

You want to expand your knowledge as much as you can to protect yourself.
>>
>>50750760
Buy from reputed seller. If in doubt take it to LCS and scan it with XRF. I still wouldn't pay more for ASEs. Just get your local perth mint kilo bars.
>>
>>50750942
I'm in rural Australia, lcs today had 2022 1oz Roos for $36 and 600 traded in 2011 ASE for $38ea

Good and bad, 200km away from any decent city. The pros and cons associated with that. The town I'm in has a hospital with about 20 staff. The local cafe is open every other day from 11-4 and didn't know what a mocca coffee was when someone asked for it. But meat is fresh and the air is clean. Nobody here is a pussy, even the 12 year olds have responsibilities. Most jobs are hard Yakka for 2/3 the pay you get for stacking shelves at Kmart.

What's your budget, preferred metal and what culture are you most interested in? If you enjoy the more exotic I recommend the Aztec axe-monies, hammered from a poor bronze they smelted and representing the high denomination "store of wealth" worth 8,000 cocoa beans or the equivalent of about $400

Broadly speaking, there are two kinds of fakes: coins that are pretending to be something rare with numismatic value but are really not; and coins that are pretending to be made of some specific amount of a PM but are not. If your concern is the first, a reference collection might be the answer, but I am CERTAIN that the numismatic folks (of which there are many) have gone on at length about how to avoid fakes of the numismatic type. Listen to them. As for the second type, fake bullion content, you would be better off spending the money you were going to spend on the reference collection on a sigma machine.

And if you catch somebody trying to sell you a counterfeit coin, give them the Isaac Newton.
>>
>>50753948
I would say that that's too exotic for a starter coin. Budget is under $500, preferred is silver (but open) and anything roman or greek would be great.

You'd probably enjoy something like a silver Tetradrachm of Alexander the great, generally 16-17 grams each so they're chunky and appealing. Lots of ancient coins are surprisingly small which will catch you off guard if not used to ancients. Many Alexander tetradrachms were minted so they're widely available and affordable, often under $200 if you shop around. If you want a Roman coin I recommend a big chunky brass sestertius like pic, they're 20+ grams and more impressive to hold than a dime sized denarius

The market isn't going to crash. It will simply slow down, but prices aren't going anywhere. There's too much demand from millennials looking to buy their first homes, and too little supply - controlled by the powers that be who will not benefit from price reduction in housing. Stack PMs when you can, and focus on what's important in life. Do not let the shiny cloud your judgement. There is more to life than shiny. Shiny is an ends to a mean, not a means to an end.

>>
>>50754557

Aside from having to wait a bit, there shouldn't be any reason. Monument is a reputable company, so in this case risk isn't really a factor.
>>
>>50754623
If spot goes up maybe they cancel the order? I've never had this happen, but it's just a guess as to why people might say that.
>>
>>50754623
The caution is rooted in paranoia about SHTF and the pre order being impossible to fulfill. Back in March 2020 I ordered some cheapies and was very worried that I wouldn't get them, took 6 weeks but everything came. Some people did indeed get their orders cancelled though, long after premiums skyrocketed and the refunded cash couldn't buy nearly as many ounces.
>>
>>50754557
This is EXACTLY what people were saying before the last huge housing market crash. That doesn't mean you are wrong. It just means that people who said this before were VERY wrong. And economic conditions now are far less stable than they were then.

The last thing the bank wants is for your to remove your capital from the market and store it in physical commodities. People genuinely believe they can combat the banking system by buying PMs. And they also believe they can become fabulously wealthy in doing so.

Regardless, all the selling points of silver remain true.....

>Its never failed in a crash

>Farmers and other important people of society will happily take it for goods

My understanding is there are good people
(or people on our side) in the intelligence agencies shilling the fuck out of it as we've always heard it is the bank killer and i think we can all agree on getting rid of the banks, the central ones anyway.

I agree. The ultimate resolution of the bond market bubble is cash being printed to pay off the debts and that very cash buying up everything else in the world. I think we are at the end of this cycle. I bought a shitload of PMs in 2008 and it was a bad move move because it scared me away from the stock market bull run.
I don't think that will happen this time, mostly due to geo-political events that have just taken place. The time to brace for a hard impact is rapidly approaching.

I come from a worker family with not much to work with and now that I have some income the stock market is shit, I'd have to slave away for over 10 years not spending anything to get a nice house and some ground here.
I'm unironically thinking of looking for a WFH job and then working from Mongolia or some shit, the houses with ground there cost like 5000€
>>
>>50759657
If I could give you a different perspective to look at it, you are already paying rent right? And seem to have enough of it to play on the financial markets a bit.
Which means your bank will happily agree to give you a loan, couple hundred k, to buy a house qith and pay back over the next 10/20years.
I dont like being in debt to those banking kikes either, but paying rent is retarded in my opinion, since I'd rather pay off the loan with that money.
That's how I got my 2nd place, rented it out and the rent income will have paid back the loan for it in 10 years.

Kikes want us all to rent, while they buy up all the real estate.

Kikes also have an interest in sucking in a lot of goys to the real estate market and then pulling the rug. Mortgage debt isn’t something to just haphazardly jump into because rent sucks. Honestly the amount of “it’ll never dump ever” posting is getting ridiculous
>>
>>50760532
Everything can dump. But real estate will be the last, and if it does, i still own the house. And i paid it off with the money i would had spent for rent to my Jewish landlord in the past ten years.
There is no argument in renting over owning. I own since ten years, only ever paid rent for less than 2 years in my entire adult life. and now got the 2nd place.
And plan on buying more, specifically land, over the next years.

Just trying to say items marketed/designed to be "collectors" rarely end up being so. This is just more junk in an ocean of junk in the end.

I don't get the point of spending so much on modern Bullion when there are so many good historical coins on the market in your price range:

>Crowns from Victoria back to George III
>Silver 1 Yens
>Thalers, Ecus, 8 Reales and whatever else tickles your fancy
>Ancient stuff, including some of the more sought after Denarii

BlueRidgeSilverHound predicts that now is the time to start buying numismatic coins and sending coins off to grading before the consumer holiday season officially starts to accelerate in October and people start looking for new hobbies to park their spare cash into.

Gold and silver are not inflation hedges they have been replaced by digital gold BTC.

We aren't living in the 70s anymore. People aren't interested in gold and silver as a store of value, and a critical mass of adoption is unlikely to ever happen again. Society is not collapsing, but actually improving around the world due to rapid technological innovation.

Boomer rocks gonna collect dust until the boomer dies and then their children will sell them to fund their metaverse NFT fashion brand. This will continue all the way until value is aligned with the raw material efficient value of manufacturing use cases. Today the gold price plummeted once again proving it is a worthless barbaric relic. SELL NOW!

the world population is growing faster than the working class can benefit from these advancements. the working class can afford the wagie good goy toys and the upper class can afford the electric vehicles out the gate, solar, better home security, new efficient appliances, etc.

society is collapsing but you probably live your life in a way where you aren't seeing it.

Ohamyoon,
Silver continued to do what it does, there was a whale coming in lately buying some millions worth of PMs, and those vaults are still a-drainin' as anons and now whales and governments are buying like crazy.
Someone said his silver krugs would be milking, but in general both krugs are nice.
We're in a stage where an oz of silver is worth 4 cans of premium soda in the US. They can't keep this shit up much longer, either the white house changes the definition of "precious metals" (lol) or the ratio corrects (lmao even).
Stick to your plan, do NOT sell it for FIAT. Once inflation tickles and some whale wants to shed a property with a house and is sick of calculating the trillions of USD/Euros/Mongolian Tögrög, you come along and offer him 3 ozt of Gold and a kilo Silver.

They preach Equality of Chances, then rig the game from the start. You can NOT be a simple, well-meaning citizen today and are forced to rip off anyone and everyone you meet, making enemies for (you) in the process. Yes, purge (((them))), but also remember the crypto-jews (a.k.a. jewish behaviour in non-jewish persons) need to hang OR forced to mine rocks for the rest of their lives to pay back to society.

Pay off all debts and the mortgage, buy quality land in the country, and buy land with mineral rights over shallow coal seams for personal use if St Angelo's "Energy Cliff" collapse happens. I'd also buy land and stake claims with desirable carving stone for deriving an income from. I'd like to get into the business of quarrying and selling alabaster, soapstone, and quality argillite (like red Catlinite, the famed Indian Pipestone). Maybe find a graphite and garnet outcrop to mine specimens like pic from. Not as sexy as having a gold mine but I have a decent understanding the process and the niche markets and enjoy that sort of honest hard work. PMs will probably just crab forever but a man can dream.

When it comes to precious metals, not only do we have all of history to support our claims that they will return as money when the inevitable monetary crisis comes to a head, but we also have hard evidence and testimonies right now revealing that the precious metals market is rigged to timbuktu AND central banks around the world are accumulating gold, not crypto. Precious metals are cheap right now, and they will stay cheap for some time. The trouble with buying low and selling high is, of course, the buying low part. You're too cowardly to do that and will cling to your crypto cope.

We don't need the BRICS to save the world. We just need them to kill off the dollar. And that they are able and anxious to do.

Indian government is retarded. Indian people, on the other hand, own something like 20,000 TONS of gold. They stand to gain tremendously by remonetization of gold.

China and Russia, for all their problems, own very large quantities of gold and are the world's largest producers. The fact that they have other economic problems only makes it more likely that they will resort to gold. That's why the G7 faggots tried to slow it down with a ban on the sale of Russian gold.

China sanctions are on deck and they know it. That's why they stopped buying US bonds and are instead investing their stack of dollars in hard assets. Which, by the way, is one reason the Fed will not be able to control inflation. There are more than two trillion dollars floating loose in foreign hands, starting to pour back into the USA. What is just a stream now will become a torrent.

You listen to too much Western political bullshit and media reports and miss the real story. Remember, your government lies to you whenever it is slightly convenient and the media is totally complicit. There is a global economic collapse and restructuring coming fast and as fiat money evaporate, PMs will remain standing. As they always have.

This slave money scheme has been going for a long, long time, and the manipulation of precious metals has gone of for decades as well. Many of us were born into this debt slavery system, but it's coming to an end. Even if it's two years, even if it's ten years, we're much closer to the end than the beginning.
>>
>>50771581
I don't listen to jews anon. You are right, Indian people do own some gold. Lot of them have equally invested in paper assets. The thing about Russia and China is that the cuntry holds gold not the people. Anyways, I want fiat to fail. I think all countries are going to fail.

>>
was a very good day today anons
>>
>>50771725
So precious metals don't pay you dividends or interest to hold them, which seems to be why so many people think they're irrelevant. Because of this, the only time the price matters to you is when you trade/sell them. If we understand that the market is rigged, and that rigging will end some day, then it would be foolish to ever trade your hard money for govt paper while the manipulation is still on.
Am I making sense? I'm not going to sell a single ounce until silver is at least $125 (in todays dollars). I may check the price now and again when I'm ready to acoooomulate more, but nobody should be checking it five times a day, like "did it moon yet? did it moon yet?"
Just take care of yourself, accumulate when you're able to do so, and stop checking the price so often if it's affecting you this badly. You'll know when it's time, the whole world will be talking about it.
