A few months since you are just pre-ordering them now

I am pretty new to buying shiny rocks and im having a bit of trouble deciding on what would be best to buy
I like coins a lot so ive been buying the usual things (kangaroo, krugerrand, britannia etc) but because I live in australia its harder to get anything that isnt in production now without paying out the ass because of shipping
The plan is to keep buying a couple of coins a week until I run out of ones I want, then start buying small bars, im aware that buying larger saves you a bit of money per ounce but at the moment I can only afford to spend a couple hundred a fortnight so I was going to stick to buying little bits at a time
Is this a bad way to go about it?

What is the suistack for silver? I heard in Weimar the suistack was 4 oz of gold because it could pay for a house.

What's your take on these modern times?

I only have 100 oz of silver and half an oz of gold :(
>>
>>48790510
just buy kangaroos or some of their more collectible stuff if ur feeling fruity. Perth mint is good stuff
>>
>>48790590
idk man i'm starting to feel like silver sucks, so i'd say 10oz of platinum
>>
>>48790510
in my opinion, fractional gold is not worth the premiums, so if you have a few hundy a week, thats 1 oz of gold in 5 months if you save

that is a large chunk of time so maybe you could do half ounces. if youre worried the dip wont last, then you could start with quarter ounces to get at least a little gold right now. if youre goinf that route and dont mind much what you get, then maybe things like soveregins, ducats, corona restrikes etc etc would be better to cut down on premiums. shop around i guess, i think sd bullion has decent prices on that sort of gold. otherwise, i think britannias are a fine choice and one of the most beautiful coins. im from usa and my 1 oz gold britannia is one of my favorite pieces, dont even have an ase. is shipping really that bad to australia? if so, cant you jist stick to buying local perth mint stuff?

anyone tried prospecting for precious metals to make your own melts?
>>
>>48791252

Is that your stack? Why are you comparing silver to tulip mania if you own silver?
The comparison is blatantly retarded. Tulip mania is where something with little real value explodes in price due to mass hysteria.
Silver is the opposite; it’s underperforming but it has fundamental scarcity and is useful, and it refuses to yield below a certain basic value.
The comparison of silver and tulips is economically illiterate.
Be honest, did you just not know what the implication of that image was? Comparing silver to tulips?
Or did you know what the image meant and you’re just stupid and awful at analogies?

Agreed, if anything the current crypto market is far closer to tulip mania than anything precious metals have ever done.
I’m not going to dismiss all cryptocurrencies and the surrounding phenomena as mania; I only have a little over 10 years of data to work with on cryptocurrency as a concept. It’s uncharted territory, no matter what anyone tells you.
But its recent behavior fits the bill exponentially better than silver, which is quite safe and boring by contrast-
For now.

Yes, but I go to a good city near mine for shopping. I live in a good state compared to others.
These coins are bought from friends of family members or friends of friends

>>
>>48791998
Fineness and weight were specified on a lot of currencies in Latin America back when they used PMs. I wish more countries did it, having the composition listed on tbe coins would make people more vigilant about the government debasing them.
>>
>>48792201
>These ones in my photo are very common to see here where I live
Mexico's history is basically one where Europe (especially Spain) ran out of gold, so they sailed a few thousand miles west until they landed someplace that had gold. To this day, it's the #1 producer of silver in the entire world. There was a period of time where Mexican coins would travel the entire world due to how much people trusted them.

The problem is that the value of gold is not something that makes sense in the modern era. We hold onto the idea of its value almost out of tradition, but it no longer makes sense. Before you might hold onto some gold and then during a time of poor economic downturn your by then adult children could take it to the market and buy some chickens and feed.

Money and wealth have taken on such an abstract and superficial kind of meaning, with the value of some products being based entirely on whims of a few or a passing trend. You can't financially recover with it, you can't be sure to have that wealth in the future. So much has changed in how things are valued that purchasing precious metals to hold onto is just quaint. No one doing so has a significant amount that it would ever do them good. Now it only makes sense as an investment, but it makes for a poor one.

Gold, silver, doesn't matter. We've reached a point where raw materials are treated as disposable and throw out as garbage when compared to the things they're used to create. It's just a way for people to feel better when they're paranoid the world is ending and have a hard time understanding what's going on, at least they still have that gold for when shit goes bad.

Metal content and weight is generally understood as decreed by the mint or other authority of a stable government. Technically the US dollar is a defined weight of silver; one dollar of silver, just read dollar as a weight instead of a unit we've become accustomed to seeing. This is why the fractional silver coins and their contemporary silver dollars have different weights. When everyone knows the weight and composition, you don't need to display it. If you are a smaller country and desire international trade, it behooves you to display the content of your coin overtly.

Any one else still holding this bag? It seems like there is a ton of silver left at this mine.
Is it one of those huge deposits that old timers just dropped the pickaxes and left when silver crashed in the depression?
They are almost done clearing land and can start drilling to see how far this deposit extends.
Warrants expireng in May through July are all $0.12 which is above the current price... So either those warrants will expire (no dilution) or stock is going to pump.

niggers on ebay won't math.
just go $1-2 cheaper and declare those $1-2 as extra on the shipping so you show up higher in the rankings or look cheaper. All of these fucks do this, they're supposed to send me 2 coins and take 4€s-6.99€s for shipping

>>
>>48790510
get an excel sheet ready, jump on ebay and look for sovs. note the sovereigns you like, note their weight and purity so you get a feeling for what's a fair price. proceed to spam that price onto the auctions, if someone goes higher, their loss. fuck'em. this is much easier to do with silver coins because the bet is not as high of course.

Congratulations on leveling up your demoralization tactics, but yet again you fail at covering all factors, especially ones that have been mentioned multiple times in /pmg/ threads.

""Precious Metals like gold and silver don't need a central bank to determine their value and cannot be created or destroyed.""

Even if it became impossible to exchange PM for goods, the people will just go back to the barter system, only this time it will be more effective with the digital tools we have of a wide market and calculating swapping value. THIS is the shit that gives bankers nightmares because how can they scalp items with so many real world variables. They can't which means they would be obsolete. The parasites should never overplay their hand or it is over for them and would spell the end of their debt bondage schemes that nearly everyone gets shackled into.

The more people who know how to do this the better.
>>
>>48811380
Listen to the other anons. Don't be a dumbass. You have an income problem, not a 'where do I invest' problem. Invest in yourself and work to grow that $1,000 through saving and investing. PMs are a hedge, and your perception of the likelihood that you will need them to eat over the next year is warped. You have nothing to lose, so there's no reason to secure a portion of your wealth in PMs.

I don't get what you're saying. The raw materials are necessary to create the finished product. If you don't have raw materials you can't create anything. So why would they be disposable?

And furthermore there's tons of junk electronics, laptops and cheap phones created that people treat as disposable too.

Why dont you put it everyday? dont you go outside frequently?
I put one of my perfumes daily since everyday I go outside for many different reasons. It is a dior sauvage clone
If I dont go outside that day I put on my other perfume,a bleu de chanel clone, since its smell is much more mild and better smelling, although it becomes a skin scent after only 30 minutes to about a hour of wearing it which i dont like at all since it smells nicer compared to the other one.
I like both but my favorite one is a perfume formulated in France and made in India which smells amazing and lasts 1 entire day smelling strong and projecting the entire time,I however havent put it on for the last month since i havent found another bottle at the store i bought it from.I still have it i just value it much more than the others which i can always get much more of.
All of them are of EDT concentration since i couldnt find any EDP concentration perfumes anywhere outside of luxury stores which cost very much
I will post a picture a bit later when i get out of the shower
Would you like to guess what perfumes I use?
I have already given you some hints another one is that they are very affordable(atleast when i bought them they were)

His father spends literally half his social security on scratchers. He also estimates he is down over $100k since he started playing (when he hit retirement). I shudder to think what that money could have done for our family. The worst part is they are both incredibly intelligent and hard working and my father is a very well paid doctor. My dad says he does it for fun, and my grandfather says he does it out of boredom.

>>

It's worse when they know what they're doing, trust me. My grandfather won some amount big enough that he had to go to the lotto office to collect it, and in the same call when he was telling me about it he also explained that even with the big win, he was down over $5k for the year. He has straight up told me to never play the lotto or scratchers, and that he only does it for fun and to get out of the house on days when he isn't golfing. I tried suggesting that he starts collecting something of value, that way he can have fun and not lose money, but he doesn't have the collector gene I guess.

for placer gold, its fairly fine gold now but nuggets are known to come from orogenic supplied freshets in many parts of Carolina. I am not well versed on that mineral belt but its made many a man a fortune since it was discovered. Best guess, look up USGS maps, and look for areas already staked either in the past or present, search around these areas.

Best guesses for just panning, focus on where you find extremely hard clay or cemented gravels in streams, the old timers dug their workings in a contact of clay and "hard pan" gravel, described as cement. Look for oxidized layers of river cobble too. Test overhanging root balls and pan all the moss on creek banks. Bedrock wont have as good gold in your region because its weak and fractured.

Hope you hit it big friend!

Yeah its on /fa, just search for frag.

There's a sticky on how to get started in the hobby. I really recommend to sample the flow chart scents. It is a great resource on how to get into the hobby.

godspeed anon. If you fall down the rabbit hole here's things I wish I knew when I started:

1) Don't blind buy anything--- always sample it first with a small decant or at a department store.

2)100ml bottles are too big for frags you will only wear occasionally. Buy smaller bottles in the beginning.

3) NEVER pay full retail from department stores. Use discounters like fragrencenet.

4) when you ignore my advice and blind buy some frags you can sell them on reddit fragrenceswap for like 60% retail. You can also get some great prices when buying from there. Beware of fakes and scammers tho.

Ok, first off, whats the name of the river flowing down from the mountains above your region? If you have access to the Danude River, try there. Its well known to have gold. Any water course flowing into your region from the slopes test pan, or research if there is any info on your particular area hosting gold. Romania has a very active placer gold hobby collective, look them up and ask their opinion as well.

>>48816727
> nuance
It's not about nuance friend, it's about waiting until the information you're presented with is vetted. I don't believe shit until enough time has passed that I can get a 3-dimensional view of an incident. Right now it's all "4chan shooter posted manifesto, it 100% is real, believe the media!"

Accepting the first narrative presented the minute it's presented is for children.
>>
>>48814431
He knows who's causing all our financial pain and suffering but decides to ventilate random people at a store. He's either the biggest retard or this is a glowie job. I'm leaning towards the latter.

Focus on a small but diversified set of operators, and really make sure you research them well too. Know their projects or primary operations, read their reporting on how they think things are going. Juniors for example this season expect big results but expenses are going to be way up as well.
One of the better major miners I follow is TECK resources, have a look at them.
